Such a beautiful place. The estate is stunning with lots to explore and discover and fabulous views over the Tamar. The castle has a fascinating history, beautiful rooms and great facilities for hosting events and guests. All run smoothly by an amazing team, great service.

Just a fantastic place to stay, very comfortable and delicious food, beautiful Estate.

Spent a lovely and lively evening in the beautiful grounds watching HMS Pinafore, performed by the Illyria theatre company. We are both disabled, (not with wheelchairs) and it is very daunting to attend an unfamiliar venue. I needn't have worried in the least. Assistance was swift and discreet, and well-organized. We will look forward to future events.

A stunning venue for any occasion. The building and the grounds are amazing. The staff are fantastic and really make you feel like you are at home. My new husband and I are so grateful for having our fairytale wedding here.
Nothing was too much trouble and everything was perfect.

We have just had our wedding reception at Pentillie Castle, and it truly was the most wonderful day! From the moment we met, Pentillie's wedding co-ordinator Chrissie went above and beyond to make our dreams come true. She was always so friendly and happy to chat over even the smallest details, was incredibly helpful with all of our questions, and made every aspect of planning our Pentillie wedding into a really special and personal experience.
We were drawn to Pentillie's beautiful grounds and outdoor spaces which all lend themselves to stunning photo opportunities, but we were equally impressed by the indoor areas, which are beautifully decorated and we and all of our guests greatly enjoyed our time there. Our guests all said how much they loved their sytlish and elegant bedrooms and the amazing breakfast the next morning too.
On the day, nothing was too much trouble for any of the staff. Stephen, Linda and all of the team were fantastic, working behind the scenes, looking after our guests and keeping the day running smoothly.
Pentillie is a magical place for a wedding and we would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a truly special venue. We could not have chosen a more perfect place to celebrate our special day!
Thank you all again for everything, we will always remember how you all helped make our dreams a reality.

It is a wonderful house in an idyllic setting.

We got married at Pentillie Castle in February 2020 and it was magical! The “Bathing Hut”
Is the most beautiful and romantic setting. All we could see from the huge window inside was the River Tamar shimmering in gorgeous sunshine. The staff are superb and couldn’t do enough to help and support us in getting the day we wanted. Pentillie Castle is stunningly beautiful and extremely comfortable. It was everything we wanted for our wedding — and more. I can’t thank everyone at the castle enough for all they did — and I can definitely recommend Pentillie as the most romantic of venues. Gorgeous!

We stayed here for a wedding for 3 nights. The most amazing venue and nothing was too much trouble. Stephen, from the estate, was really welcoming and so helpful. Lisa, the wedding coordinator, was brilliant. It was the best wedding ever. After the Friday wedding, we all stayed til the Sunday. Total stress free, chill out time with fantastic views and company. Can’t wait to visit again, came away having had so much fun and feeling as refreshed as if I’d had a 2 week break. Thank you Pentillie Castle x.

My Husband and I got married at Pentilie over Easter this year and we hired the place for 3 nights. We had the most amazing 3 days, which was truly special. Everyone working at Pentillie went above and beyond and they were extremely helpful. A very special thank you to Lisa, the Wedding organiser at Pentillie who is INCREDIBLE! She made everything run smoothly & was very responsive and helpful in the run up to the wedding (we booked it over a year in advance). I couldn't have asked for a better venue to have our wedding at this family run estate. It was perfect and I would highly recommend anyone to get married here. Thank you again guys for our dream wedding.

Stunning accommodation and staff could not fault in anyway. Food Cleanliness and comfortable beds. I would highly recommend and will return.

Coffee and cake in aid of the Mustard Tree. Good cake and coffee friendly staff and people. Warm and welcoming. ❤️❤️❤️

The owners and staff are excellent, very friendly. Nothing is to much for them. The rooms are great and I loved the shower area in the ensuite.
The chef is on the ball with his menu, there wasn't one meal I didn't thoroughly enjoy.
I will return, but next time I'm going to bring my young lady and upgrade to the bridal suit as it looked outstanding.

We had an amazing stay for 2 nights at Pentillie Castle, the place is truly magical and the staff was so friendly and kind they gave us a tour of the house. Thank you for the upgrade to the gorgeous Tillie suite which was out of this world. We will definitely be back soon. We would give Pentillie Castle 5 stars.

Lovely and tranquil place set in a beautiful estate with gorgeous views. The afternoon tea was just the right amount and tasted so good. Would love to come back again and try a dinner or stay in one of the rooms.

The grounds were lovely and the welcome and tour from Stephen were very nice. The room is very comfortable. Would come again.

Peaceful, the views were fantastic picture card in fact. Stephen from the Estate was warm, helpful and cheery, totally welcoming. This is a great venue for wedding, catching up with friends and letting all the springs go ‘boing’. M.

Lovely atmosphere. Lovely and tentative staff. Very welcoming. Excellent food and plenty of it. We had to have wheelchair access for a visit for high tea. When we arrived, not only were they expecting us, but the ramps were out waiting for us for easier access. Cannot recommend this place highly enough! We will return ❤️

Such a beautiful, natural, unspoiled location. We had afternoon tea and walked the grounds with our Lab, Daisy. Staff were fantastic also.

We didn't want to leave so beautiful. The staff are amazing and the views are beautiful. Great breakfast! I have stayed in some amazing places over the years but Pentillie is special. Be back very soon.

Amazing room + shower & bath in the Coryton. Outstandingly friendly service, fab breakfasts relaxed atmosphere. A home from home. Walking the grounds was amazing. Views all through superb Pool lovely and warm, just hoping Emilia Fox and Dawn French hadn't contaminated the pool while filming Delicious here.! Hope to come again!

Only attended for a business lunch so did not test the B&B but did sample the three course lunch and it was very good. The venue and the viewers are stunning.

Pentillie Castle is a beautiful gem set overlooking the Tamar Valley and over to Devon. Owned and managed by the Coryton family for generations, it had found it’s rightful place as a boutique bed and breakfast stately home by featuring in the hit TV series “Delicious”. A great place to call home whilst visiting glorious Cornwall or Devon.

We booked afternoon tea here as we were on holiday in the area. Not only did we have a really nice afternoon tea but were given a map if we wanted to walk round the gardens. It was very interesting from a bathing hut near the river to the mausoleum that houses the owner Sir James Tillie. There is an abundance of lovely gardens to walk round with fantastic views of the local countryside. I would recommend a visit if you are in the area.

Fantastic establishment. Outside decor is beautiful as is the scenery and hounds. The rooms are of a very high standard and the disabled room is spacious and well thought out. The food is of a very high standard and is very varied. Would recommend this establishment to anyone.

We had the most incredible wedding here. Venue was amazing but the staff were even better. Nothing was too much trouble, we didn’t have to worry about anything all day. Can not rate highly enough.

Spent a great day walking in the grounds, it was a special event ‘Landrover Day’ so there were some stalls and displays. We were lucky and had sun all day and the catering options included vegetarian and vegan. The site makes for a great place to walk and lends itself as a venue for shows and exhibitions. The paths around the grounds have some interesting historical artefacts and some kids activity equipment, they can be muddy and a bit slippery too, so wear appropriate clothing unless it’s the height of summer! Overall a great family venue with stunning views and pleasant walks.

Had a wonderful stay at Pentillie Castle! We were made so welcome by Matthew who showed us around & told us about the castle, we felt so at home! In the afternoon we had a lovely cream tea! Everyone there couldn’t do enough for you & all so very welcoming! We spoke to the Owners Ted & Sarah who were so very friendly & again made you feel at home! We had a fantastic Valentine’s meal & everyone was so friendly & helpful! We walked around the grounds & gardens & the views were stunning! We will definitely stay again & highly recommend to all! Absolutely fabulous! Thank you all for being so kind & making our stay so wonderful! X.

We had a special afternoon tea at Pentillie Castle to celebrate our friends 70th birthday. Thank you to the staff who were very friendly & helpful & the tea was amazing. Tea was served in the lounge & the log fire was welcoming on a cold Winter's day. We would definitely recommend it to others & revisit.

The best place to get married; friendly, attentive and whats more… they all remember us and recognise us and our families whenever we return. Genuinely feel special to them and the castle is special to us. Lush place!

Pentillie is a fantastic place I would highly recommend it to anyone for any occasion! We had the house for 3 nights in May for our wedding and we loved it so much we went back and hired the house again for new year! I can't wait to go back again!

Sarah and family, our hosts are so warm and welcoming. Lovely staff. The views and the grounds are very special. The history of the Estate goes back to the 1600s.

Attended the Pengrille event as a competitor. Really great event and thoroughly enjoyed it. Lovely grounds and helpful friendly staff. Will be back next year.

I attended the Pengrille BBQ event and had a great time. Activities for kids of all ages was good news for our toddler. Tasting the chilli contest entries was fantastic. Lots of attendees, so it was definitely worth getting food and drink early to avoid queues.

Afternoon Tea — A truly lovely experience, friendly, helpful staff and the food was melt in the mouth, a great selection of sandwiches, fancies and scones and with jam and clotted cream with a pot of tea. This was followed by a stroll through part of their grounds, stunning.

My husband and I have re-named the Castle "The Pentille Retreat" as it truly is a 'get away from it all' location. You just leave your ordinary everyday life at the gate before the drive beckons you to the castle. We spent 3 nights in the beautiful 'Victor' room and the days walking the grounds and visiting Plymouth, travelling on the Tamar Valley Railway nearby. The Chef suggested we look for the Crocodile as we walked the grounds, afterward adding "It is made of bronze". The staff were friendly and very helpful, breakfast was superb. We would certainly recommend Pentille Castle to those wanting a quiet and relaxing break. The stories attached to The Castle are fascinating. We were fortunate in meeting a lady who said her mother had been born at The Castle during the war, when new Mothers were evacuated from Plymouth due to the bombing.

WOW! what an amazing venue. We visited there today and was not disappointed. The grounds are beautiful and that's just the drive in. The house is amazing and the castle grounds are spectacular. The unique selling point was the bathing Hut ceremony building right on the river front. Incredible day and we were made to feel very welcome by Jack and Lisa. Would give it 6 stars if I could.

Lovely setting with stunning views.

We were one of the first weddings at Pentillie back in 2009 and I remember viewing the property while it was being gutted and renovated; even back then we knew the potential of this magnificent property. We stayed from Thursday till Sunday and our wedding was simply perfect. We loved having our family from all over the world staying with us at the house, and even enjoyed a post wedding afternoon tea in the Bathing Hut on the Sunday with all our guests who had travelled from all over to celebrate our special day with us. If you are looking for a unique wedding experience, or a romantic getaway we can't recommend Pentillie Castle highly enough, it is the place dreams you will treasure forever are made, and ours certainly were. I was there for the "Defender Day" that they put on. It was a great day, lovely venue and well organised. Tonnes of stuff their for all the family, covering most if not all age ranges.
