Had a lovely Sunday roast lunch at the Eagle House today. The staff very friendly and professional, couldn't fault the food it was delicious! would recommend going and try it for yourself. Thank you Eagle House.

We had a lovely Sunday roast at the Eagle House and have booked to go again. Wonderful, attentive manager and staff, in delightful surroundings. It's great to see the house being used as a venue again! And the blueberry and raspberry gin was amazing.

The bedroom was absolutely frezzing I was on bottom floor windows were closed but yet there was a right draft coming through them curtains moving radiator in the room which wasn’t on I tried turning it on but didn’t work. I found a couple of live insects in the bath no spiders something else I’m no David Attenborough bit they was defo moving.

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch today. Warm, friendly service and lovely food. Great gin too! Thank you.

Just had a ladies that lunch time today, food was excellent and the bar area with gin distillery is very relaxing, hope to go back again soon.

Went to the Eagle House last night for a drink. Was extremely impressed, their bar area was relaxing and exactly what Launceston needs. They make their own gin, the raspberry one was lush. Barman extremely knowledgeable and friendly. Well done Eagle House, will be back soon.

Good food and great staff in a perfect setting.

Recently held my 60th birthday party here and the staff were amazing. Such a beautiful venue, food was beautiful and the staff couldn’t have been more helpful. Becky, Jack and all the staff contributed to make it such a special evening, can’t thank them enough. Would definitely recommend.

The new bar area is looking amazing. Very tastefully done. Staff are very efficient and friendly. The range of drinks were great and the food tasted AMAZING! We will definitely be coming again.

Just been to a gin tasting at the eagle house hotel bloody Ansome! Informative and passionately delivered and the gin is excellent too. Give it a try Eagle One. Had a meal after in the restaurant, sublime.

Came in for a meal after work pork tenderloin literally unreal beautifully cooked perfect portion size. Plus beers good.

This hotel has so much potential but has become run down. We were put in a ti room in the basement with no view and a bathroom in serious need of update even though there seemed to be many other empty rooms available. Pot holes in car park need attention.

A mixed bag, quite an odd though interesting experience. My partner and I ate there on Saturday evening — Beautifully cooked food and an interesting menu. We enjoyed our meal — the tastes were fantastic. The food was really very good. However the restaurant had an austere feel, not at all cosy or Intimate. The racks of HP brown sauce bottles left out, presumably for next days breakfast, would have been better put in the cupboard out of sight. It is actually a nice room however the lighting was far too bright. My advice would be to turn down the lighting and install some candles to give a more intimate and cosy feel. This restaurant could be a real gem if more attention were paid to the ambiance of the dining room. Our waitress was helpful and attentive, enthusiastic and very sweet, but rather hurried us alone. For example the desert menu was presented halfway through main course, and likewise the bill halfway through desert, without us having being asked for it. We were not offered coffees or any digestifs. We felt hurried along and almost rushed out the door. We felt that although she was very enthusiastic, she could benefit from more training. Having said that the food was excellent, the best I've tasted in Launceston and I would try this restaurant again for the cooking. Next time I would be more assertive with the waiting staff and tell them to give us more time. And possibly ask him to turn down the lights.

Absolutely disgraceful hotel would not recommend! Very rude and disrespectful boss! Who takes money out of your account without your knowledge! Dirty bed sheets and also human waste on the toilet seat! Asked for room change got the room change then told I was to pay for the room all over again! DO NOT STAY HERE.

Food was lovely but we had to wait a long time for it! There was only 1 other couple and a table of 3 before us so they weren't excatly busy! My husband asked the waitress a question about something on the menu and she didn't know the answer but she didn't offer to go and find out from the kitchen! We asked for mayo and some other condiments which were all bought to the table in their original plastic bottles which looked cheap and nasty! They need to decide if they are a pub or a restaurant because the mix of both really didn't work well.

Had a birthday party here, was a great evening had by all, staff were helpful and friendly, rooms were lovely and would deffinately recommend to friends. When we booked the event staff were very accommodating and gave us actually what we were hoping for. Thanks again for a truly great evening.

Lovely hotel. Rooms were very spacious. Amenities were standard. Bathroom was very nice. Bar was small and staff could have been trained better.

Sunday was a great evening at Eagle House. Great service and friendly organised waiters. The beautiful sun terrace is perfect for enjoying a cool G &T. My favourite place!

The owners Becky and Bill very kindly agreed to us having our show there. Last night we held our show and what a fantastic night it was. Becky, Bill, Their manager Jack and all of their fantastic team of staff done everything they could to provide an amazing service to us. I am truly in awe of them and highly recommend. We have already set a date for our next show there and thoroughly look forward to have many more shows there. Thank you so very much for an OUTSTANDING service xxxxxxx xxxxxxxx.

We stayed overnight and had a very good meal, great room with a stunning view over the valley and a very nice breakfast. Will certainly stay here again if we are in the area.

Stunning place lovely lunches and evening food … À la cart food as it should be very good value for money just what Launceston needs friendly staff as well dog friendly even better.
