Sat here as I write this, brilliant pub fantastic food, cracking atmosphere and every member of staff are very polite and helpful. Hotel rooms very clean and comfortable. Will definitely be my go to place if in the area again.

Great staff, great beer garden, but not sure you can justify 4 pieces of sf chicken and a bit of dip for £7.45 acceptable. I would have expected at least some salad. That was on the share menu, don't think you would want to share.

Not at all disabled friendly, staff take the mick out of disabled customers when they are stuck on the cobbles yes they offer help, but dangerous, they threaten turn off the lights when u are literally stuck on the cobblers in a wheelchair, make fun of u when u are there struggling to breathe and trying your best to get out of there. Overall I would not recommend the place or even return.

We last came to the cross keys about 7 years ago staying in the chalet type accommodation outside. Obviously lets start with the good, The recent refurbishment of the rooms (we stayed inside this time) was nicely done, Lovely king bed with fresh sheets, bath with overhead shower, shower creme shampoo etc. The spode tea and saucer set was lovely, generally the room was great. My only niggles here being a girl is the very thin long length mirror was right by the clothing rack which made it impossible to see yourself and there was no decent mirror to apply your make up or do your hair. A nice big mirror above the desk would be a welcome addition. Now with the not so good. The nespresso machine they had there, fab… but no pods. When I enquired, first it seemed like I was being told there was none supply just a comment made about their being tea bags. Ok but I don't like tea. I was told they had an order but waiting delivery. Not a huge deal breaker we went out and brought some. Secondly we came back to the room mid afternoon with the intention of having a bath watching TV and getting ready to go out. But the TV didnt work, issues with the aerial and several TVs in the rooms. Probably seems minimal to some but when your parents to 4 children (the youngest being 8 months old) first night out child free in 5 loooooong months during this pandemic for our anniversary… then it's a deal breaker, especially when paying £108 per room.

Lovely relaxing lunch outside in the sun. Staff extremely helpful in explaining all the new regulations they and customers need to adhere to.

Staff are absolutely amazing. Pub is really clean and all rules adhered too. Most importantly the drinks and service are fabulous. Happy to be back.

Our large family of 15 had Christmas dinner here a few days ago and it was fantastic. The price was very reasonable and much cheaper than other places we had looked at. The food and service was great, the children even received little goodie boxes. It was not over crowded and the table was ours for the whole day. Great atmosphere and very relaxed. We couldn’t eat all courses so the cheese boards and mince pies were boxed up for us. Would highly recommend this place and thank you for making our first experience of Xmas dinner out a good one!

Very clean and well laid out rooms with all you could need, including sat TV dab radio coffee machine and a first class soaked shower, highly recommend if you want a good peaceful nights sleep.

Stayed in the Patton suite on 21st September, lovely room, had a meal which was very nice, drinks in the wonderful beer garden with the sun shining, had a full English breakfast the next day, everything was just perfect and the staff were lovely, thank you for a fabulous stay.

The staff are friendly the rooms are lovely.

Gash steak. Solid garlic butter that didn't melt after 20 minutes. Don't bother.

Food was very good for evening and breakfast. Room was clean. However the single room was quite depressing as it only had a very high windows that you couldn't look out of and the colour scheme didn't help. The bed was very comfortable and the room was a good size.

Avoid, avoid, avoid! Absoluteley terrible experience booking with this place. Booking was lost, no communication, bad customer service attitude, I was promised to be called back which never happened, ended up cancelling all rooms with them. Avoid at all cost!

OK good everyday pub, food is good but limited menu good TV for sport ect for Knutsford very good value.

Really nixe friendly staff. However the room I stayed in wasn't the best (more of a cupboard than a room), although I've stayed in others at this hotel that are far better. The shower hook was broken, which wasn't ideal. Breakfast was amazkng! If you're just looking for somewhere to get your head down,, this place is ideal, not so great if you're looking for a romantic night away.

Just returned from a 1 night stay here. Was unsure what to expect with all the bad reviews and have to say the owners were fantastic. Couldn’t do enough for us. Very friendly, welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were a little dated and could do with an update although very clean. Would def recommend a stay here and an upgrade would def be a bonus as it has the potential to be even better. Thank you for such a warm welcome. X.

It's only my personal opinion, but I think the place has lost something since its refurbishment; where it used to function well as a buzzy town pub, there seems to have been an intention to turn it into some type of a gastropub, which for my money has not worked…

A good bar for groups, serve the standard beer selection with a few extras. Lacks the soul of other venues in Knutsford but fits the bill when looking for a sports pub or attending their theme nights such as quiz or comedy nights which are great!

Love this place. Great atmosphere very friendly staff which make the overall experience a firm 5 stars. Prices are reasonable. Will be back soon.

Decent Sunday roast. "Dogs welcome with well behaved humans".

We stayed for one night early February. Checked in at the bar, card machine was broken so we had to go to cash machine to pay for room. Room was clean but old fashioned — in desperate need for a refurb! Loads of stairs to get to your room. Windows were so thin and draughty… you could hear everything from outside. Planes fly that low over the hotel you feel like they are going to land in your room. The double bed was awful, dipped in the middle and you could feel the springs in your back. Reported this to the staff the next morning when we were checking out but didn’t get an apology. Breakfast wasn’t great, tea/coffee machine wasn’t working so had to wait for hot water to boil in urn. Went back for a second cup of tea but everything had been taken away (despite it still being breakfast hours). The food on the menu was limited, no fruit or porridge option. Knutsford is a beautiful town with great pubs, bars and restaurants. It’s just a shame about our experience at Cross Keys.

Yep. Nice pub. Popped in early evening for a quick scoop before visiting a high street reateraunt. Warm welcome, kids behaved and enjoyed themselves. Winner.

Had a Livy evening good glasses of wine and for under £10 a nicely presented plate of fish and chips. Large room at the front just a couple of steps up to get in at the front door. Like the atmosphere staff polite and helpful. Had a great evening.

For a Friday night it wasn't too busy so there was plenty of seating. Dog friendly, warm and drinks not too badly priced for knutsford. Would recommend for one on a night out. Earlier on or at the end.

The pub looks great the staff were attentive and friendly in the evening. The rooms were another story, unsafe looking wiring, questionable stains, curtain rails hanging off the walls, and an emergency exit light that has a green LED that keeps the room alight all night as another reviewer has mentioned. However the water was hot, sheets were clean and beds were comfortable, (if as others have suggested its recently under new management it might get much better…? …) I gave up on breakfast in the end as no staff were around (~7.45 — 8am) and nothing was laid out — at least put some orange juice and cereal out if your so busy your going to leave people waiting for so long… not a great start to the day, I probably wont be staying again.

Nice newly refurbished bar, that is well located off bottom street in knutsford. There is seating outside, however pigeons roost above so make sure you check the chairs. Toilets could do with some attention, with a leaking pipe beside the sink. Friday nights from 9 they have acoustic music on which is very good.

I leave this bad review hesitantly. Apparently it's under new management. They've done up downstairs, the bar area is nice. Breakfast is included and is good. Sheets and towels were clean. But then there are the rooms. Dust, cobwebs, mould, lights not working. The emergency exit light has a green LED that keeps the room alight, there was a plant growing though my window. I also think I was near a piece of plant equipment, as there was a loud grinding noise that kept me awake.

Came here for a few drinks with my wife and child. It's a roomy place, very chilled and the drinks are a good price. They have a changing room too which is lovely! Definitely will visit again!

The Cross Keys is situated on King Street in Knutsford on the outside it ls stunning. The bar area is clean and plenty of seating. Unfortunately the rooms are ry poor and let down the place. The room was accessed via 3 flights of stairs not very friendly for disable access. The room itself was very basic the mattresses felt like you were sleeping on a concrete slab. The bathroom has been renewed but to a very poor standard. The toilet seat which was wooden was cracked, tiles missing around the bath panel, bins had not been emptied but worse of all a dirty shower mat stuck on to the tiles. Tea and coffee provided and packs of biscuits in the room. The only positive I can say that the full English breakfast was to a good standard with tea and coffee included, which is included in the price. It's a pity that the rooms don't reflect the stunning setting and looks of the Public House.

We ate here last week and had Cheese Burger & chips. The food was scrumptious and the chips were to die for. It was all freshly cooked. I really would recommend you give the Cross Keys a go, you will be pleasantly surprised…

Went here for drinks. Friendly staff, good service. Good selection of drinks. Overall a very pleasant experience.

Food took a very long time to arrive and the flaming burger had no heat in it whatsoever. Drinks were fine.

Very child friendly and highly recommended for those with children. If you're looking for a"pub" I'd go elsewhere.

Just off town centre. Good food, good bar, good friendly staff. Stayed here nearly 5 months. Only one cold shower (stupid southern joiner from Bournemouth ran all hotel hot water cold. )

Lovely ales on offer. Ran out of pork scratching… So only 4stars! Pub has been done up nicely in side. Kid and dog friendly.
