Overall fine. Very helpful gent at the front desk. The only downside is the lack of do not disturb signs, so not great if your hours are irregular and you fancy an afternoon nap.

Stayed here prior a trip to chester zoo, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean, comfy and spacious. Great place to stay and has things you may need in the Building next door like food and shops. Would stay here again on our next visit.

It's nice and clean and does the job.

Good God. If you have an alternative, use it. Unless you're in a mega hurry to find a bed for the night, or check in as Mr and Mrs Smith with someone else's Mrs Smith… then this is perfect. On the serious side, kinda grubby, dated, sink was blocked and generally lame. Still, friendly staff, if they're not at the desk when you need them, they're probably outside smoking. In need of a serious overhaul. Won't be back, hopefully.

Great budget hotel close to restaurants and shops.

Adequate bed, mostly quiet neighbours, very rare to find staff. Would stay again, great price.

Stayed here with family 26th Feb. It was very welcoming, staff were very helpful. Rooms were spotless, warm and comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

Good so far! The staff have been so helpful. Quick sign in. I paid cash but I needed my ID which wasn't a problem. Will write a review tomorrow still. Spar, macDonald's etc is opposite so very handy!

I have recently had to cancel a fixed booking, due to family commitments. I rang the hotel, and was lucky enough to speak to Kieran, one of the directors. He went out of his way to help me. I ended up with my money back, and a renewed faith in human nature. Many Thanks Kieran Julie Tab in error.

Excellent place today stay. Nothing too much trouble for staff, lovely and clean. Very friendly manager. Only negative was the medieval torture device disguised as a mattress in room 22. Staff were very helpful in trying to make it more comfortable for our second night, which was successful but sincerely hope that they get a new mattress for future residents.

Good sized room. Very clean. But the bed was quite hard for me.

Got to the hotel told him our names and reg, the guy at reception said he will change the room to a downstairs room which was absolutely filthy, it looked like the cleaners only tidied the bed, there was no tea or coffee, the travel cot was filthy, the bathroom smelt and there was a sex toy on the sofa bed! I have a 2 year old little boy who could of grabbed that and shoved it in his mouth! I went back to reception to tell them and all he did was give me another key for another room. I asked what's he going to do about it, he just apologised and said the cleaners mustn't of picked up on it. He didn't offer us any compensation, upgrade in room or money off. Now if he had I wouldn't of wrote this awful review and hopefully they get better staff to work for them as this was disgusting! I've slept in loads of hotels and I've never been treated so badly. Avoid this hotel at all cost, pat a little extra and have 10x better!

We stay over in Chester once a year for my son's birthday we have stayed at Days Inn for 3years running. The previous years have all been fine but this year it seems the standards have slipped. We found old cereal bars under the bed and various other rubbish. Also the cot is placed next to a plug socket perfect height for little fingers. I've told my husband to find somewhere else for next year.

Room and service very cozy, a little secluded chesrer, for everything else very good value for money.

Rooms basic and seem old but does the job for a night. Wouldn't want to stay much longer as beds are very uncomfortable.

A very good place to stay staff are friendly and help a lot. The rooms are very clean and tidy. The hotel is kept clean. I would definitely recommend it to everyone.

Seriously? 3.4 out of 16 total reviews as of this review? Come on folks, let's give the Days Inn Chester East a little more than that! Nice, clean, friendly, no strange animal inhabitants occupying your room upon entering, no strange human inhabitants occupying your room upon entering. What more do you want? I believe since it is not near a landmark or place of hype it probably isn't going to get the smashing, otherworldly, rave reviews that a hot dog vendor near The Tower of London would receive, but come on, I liked this place and have no complaints. Only praise. Five stars.

Loved it. Very quiet for a motorway hotel. Very friendly check in staff. Good amenities on site.

Welcoming staff clean spacious room excellent value.

Polite reception staff, comfortable beds and spacious room, good shower and plenty of hot water. However the bathroom was dirty, toilet not clean and I didn't want to use it so disinfected it myself, bath not clean, otherwise ok and reasonable cost.

Stayed weekend of 14/15/16th December 2013. Didn't see anyone on reception the whole weekend apart from check in during which they denied having a booking for us despite our names on list in front of them. We were not advised of the breakfast voucher and when we saw info in room couldn't find anyone to get this so had to pay £10 each instead of £7.50. Sheet on bed was dirty and stained but again couldn't find anyone to complain to change it. After staying in the other Chester Days Inn the previous month which was fantastic I couldn't believe how this could be so bad.
