Very family-friendly. Just spent the night here with my 3 year old daughter, just visiting Crewe. The staff were fantastic with her! The room was brilliant for the price and breakfast was lovely! My daughter wants us to return, so we will be doing soon! I very much recommend!

Many thanks for being so helpful and caring for my elderly relative over Christmas. The room was warm and clean, the breakfast perfect and the staff were understanding and patient. We will definitely be using it again.

Lovely hotel rooms are very nice and comfortable staff really look after you would recommend it defo.

Absolutely outstanding service, room and location. Even some top end worldwide hotel chains wish they were like this. We had to find somewhere fast, because apparently, trains don't go to where we are after 6pm… well, that's inconvenient. So had to book with short notice. Used a booking site. Normally, I don't do that, I like to contact direct, but I was in a rush, so. Whatever, the booking site better deliver. Lo and behold, they did, and it was booked within a matter of m…inutes. No sooner had that came through then confirmation from the hotel arrived… now that's a speedy service. We got there and I'm not easy impressed, but was greeted with a warm welcome. I'm sure they see hundreds of people a year, but to still put on a smile and warm welcome at this time of year… now that's dedication and commitment to the customer. We got to the room, and I don't expect miracles, of no-one, for any reason. The room was ideal size, not small, but not so big you could park your car in it and still have room. The bed was very comfortable, probably too comfortable, I didn't want to leave… lol. Unfortunately my partner had a slight discomfort and couldn't get to sleep on it. That's no-ones fault, some beds are great, some are not. So don't take that as a negative… it's not, just how things are. After a fair few hours sleep, breakfast was due, and again, not disappointed. Of course, I made the most of it… as you do. Fresh, tasty and home cooked… can't beat that.

Staff are very friendly and efficient, food is great, quickly served and piping hot. Very reasonably priced and highly recommended.

Stayed one night b&b comfortable standard room, free parking and close to Crewe Station. Staff friendly and good breakfast in dining room, didn't use the bar or restaurant so can't comment on those.

Hotel rooms are very dated very noisey at night beds uncomfortable breakfast is good and staff are nice but im afraid I would not come back here sorry.

Nice function area. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were very dated even a change of bedding would cheer this bleak room. Shower cubicle was miniscule landed up wrapped in a wet shower curtain! A birthday party was on in the function room and there are several late night bars with loud music very close by so an early night was impossible.

Fantastic value for money. Clean rooms, very good food, quiet location, excellent staff — most hotels could learn valuable lessons from the hard working staff at the Waverley!

Loverly budget hotel staff so friendly and helpful breakfast was fantastic hotel itself little dated but for 55 a night including breakfast it is great value.

Stayed for a night whilst in Crewe. Room was good and comfy and served it's purpose well. Really nice breakfast as well. Would stay again.

Stayed here again this Easter. Dident like my room Upstairs no 10… very small dingy. Navy Blue bedding and old dirty off white towels grey looking. Found an empty bottle of wine in the wardrobe. Metal hangers. Wardrobe door couldent open properly banging against bedside cabinet. To small no siace. Drawer broke on dresser. Room was unlocked after it being Cleaned. When I came back to my Room. And I wanted Dinner at 8.00 pm on Easter Saturday night. Only tofind the Restaurant isent open. ONLY Available only Monday to Thursday. No good to me. BUT on the good side. The breakfast is ***** 5 star. Really good. Lots of choice. But havto make your own hot drinks. Food Lovely. Staff very Nice very attentive. I asked for an iron And a shower mat and a hairdryer. Got all these no trouble. No extra charge. Staff very nice. I will stay again but on the Ground floor as I have on several occasions. Nice bright White Bedding spacious rooms. Reasonably Priced. Overall **** 4 Star. Just had an unusual experience. But Ill deffo be back.

Had the pleasure to stay here over night during the Nantwich Blues festival. We were lucky enough to stay in one of the apartments with friends. We found the staff very helpful and obliging. The apartment was well equipped with a nice kitchen / diner. The kitchen had a microwave and fridge and ofcause the important kettle. The lounge had a nice big comfortable leather sofa and two chairs. The bathroom was clean there was also a down stairs toilet which is very handy when four people share. The bedrooms were one double and one twin. It really was a pleasure to stay and will definitely be back…

Stayed for one night in a single room for £45 which included a cooked breakfast. Fantastic value. My room was perfectly adequate for me and was beautifully clean, wonderfully warm (it was — 2°c outside), and the bed was very comfy. An extra blanket was supplied in the wardrobe. Clean fresh towels in the en suite. Staff all extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast included cerals, fresh fruit, fresh juices, tea coffee and a choice of cooked breakfasts. I had the latter and it included the most perfectly cooked poached eggs! The hotel is warm and welcoming and has free parking. Ideally located for a plethora of eateries in the vicinity but tucked down a side street it's still quiet. Slightly dated but I think that is part of its charm. I will definitely be returning.

It's useful that the hotel has it's own car park. Rooms are cosy and beds are comfortable. Food is ok. Staff are friendly and service is good.

Been before for Sunday lunch which is amazing value and great food. Decided to book Christmas dinner which again was brilliant. Staff are friendly and helpful. Everything was perfect and all the vegetables are in separate dishes so no need to overdo it. Three courses and coffee and mince pies an absolute bargain will be there again next Christmas day.

Room was okay but had a few incidents with children (part of a wedding party) knocking doors / running about the corridors — nothing to do with the hotel. Free parking. Nice staff. Good food.

Stayed for one night in December room was warm and cosy I would say better than I expected for the price, staff were excellent, have to deduct a star tho for the English breakfast which was cold.

So, as many have said, this place is a little dated in terms of fixtures, fittings and decor — but it all kind of adds to the charm. Family owned and run, there seems to be a sense of belonging and pride with the staff, who are friendly, helpful and just generally… very nice. Old style sash windows on the ground floor (room 22) can't be left securely open, so perhaps request a room upstairs if you like a bit of night ventilation. Not sure if it was an oversight, but there was no shampoo or shower gel in the room. Not a big deal for me, as I always come prepared — but if you don't, you might want to!

The Waverley Hotel is a lovely little family run hotel. We arrived late at night but were treated to a complimentary upgrade to one of the apartments. It was basically a 2 bed house which was great! Comfortable accommodation with a good bathroom. The breakfast was also excellent. You can opt for a cooked breakfast or bacon sandwich etc. Plus you can have cereal, pastries, yoghurt and fruit on top! We also opted to eat dinner at the hotel, again, the food was excellent and fantastic value. The staff are also really friendly and happy to help. I'd definitely recommend this hotel to others.

The hotel employees are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good and my single bedroom was good. My only negative point is the bedroom is not very sound proof. I could hear the TV of the next room.

Overnight stop for convenience to catch train to Manchester. Waverley had all the basics required for a refreshing stop with pleasant twin room and tea and coffee making facilities to fresh home cooked gluten free breakfast. No shampoo just am all soap for sink use. Parking free on site. Friendly staff. Only shame was no food on-site fir a hotel at a weekend so had to go local to the Chinese. You cannot take your own food in to hotel so sat in car for takeaway. Highly recommend as affordable price and close to all services in Crewe.

Friendliest hotel staff that I have ever come across. A little dated but at the price its perfectly clean and really comfy beds. I work away a lot so used to many hotel groups and this place is better than a lot of them.

Yesterday was our first visit. It won't be our last.
The food was lovely, hot and freshly cooked.
The white onion soup was to die for, the meat and veg, cooked just right, but the chocolate and orange trifle was fabulous.
The staff were great and we weren't kept waiting even though they were busy.
All in all, excellent!

Excellent hotel immaculately clean excellent for access would recommend really good selection for breakfast too.

Very welcoming budget hotel. My room was clean and everything worked — the bed was comfortable, the shower hot and the breakfast was plentiful. I'd go again.

Location — 2 mins walk to trainstation. Rooms — Very clean. B&B = very comfy bed and good selection of breakfast Service — Kind, we asked them to call us a taxi, she did and as we were leaving she gave us the number to call if there was any problems with the return taxi. We were going to an event and wasn't sure when it would end. Happy to help you.

Just had 1 night and it was faultless from staff to rooms to breakfast if ever I return to Crew this will be top of my list, please dont be put off by the negative reviews… you wont be dissapointed.

Very small place had a bad wedding there couldnt cope with kids running around as kids do.

Very dated interior, rooms also very dated, but clean and safe. Parking on site. Not a proper bar… more a restaurant bar with limited beers. But OK for a quick visit. Food good quality and very reasonable prices for all meals. Basic, dated, yet very reasonable prices…

The hotel itself was OK and staff were helpful, but their was a party going on until midnight which we did not know about when booking. People at the party were trying our hotel room door, l think they thought was a toilet. We never got any sleep until gone 1 o'clock. So that' why a low mark.

Cheap and cheerful hotel very close to the trainstation. Nice continental and English breakfast included into the room price.

Parking space was fine. Friendly welcome from receptionist. Bar stayed open until 11pm. Room was small but comfortable. Good for the price.

I only went for a business meeting and I was appalled. The tables in the lobby area have dirty stained table cloths. The only toilet downstairs is the one in the function/conference room so if a function or meeting is taking place you cannot use it. The function/ conference room is absolutely freezing even though the staff said that the heating was on. They do not provide lunch for business conferences. We were lucky to get a token jaffa cake and a mince pie even though it is February.

Stayed here at the weekend. Friendly staff clean room and good breakfast. Good value for money.

Stayed here I had silver fish all over my bathroom dident stay for breakfast it worse sleep with things crawling over us ask for a refund dident want to know if ur thinking of staying here dont.
