Disgusting service… wouldn’t reply to my emails. Wouldn’t return my calls. Basically told us to get lost after we were upset that THEY cancelled our event last minute when we had made other arrangements around this booking that we can’t get a refund for. do not book an event here! avoid at all costs!

Cold in the hotel and rooms, Food is poor quality and standard, limited wine menu only had red wine was told sold out, we had Prosecco with us asked if we could pay corkage but was told not they had champagne for £45, slow service one young man on his own, very unhelpful and rude receptionist who spent more time outside, not a good experience at all for what we have paid. Other guests complained at how cold it was!

This hotel is advertised on Spa Seekers as a 'Spa Experience' it is NOT a Spa experience! Not even close! it's a hotel with a very run down swimming pool! £70 a person for a treatment and a two course lunch which when we asked what the lunch options would be we were told that there would be a tray of sandwiches and some chips! We didn't stay. Thankfully it was pay on arrival so we lost no money. Spa Seekers need this removed from their site. We won't be the only ones duped.

Plus and only plus is the friendly service. There are many disadvantages: there are a lot of cobwebs and spiders in the rooms. A lot of dust on the pictures on wall. Behind the beds a lots rubbish And the most distasteful are the curtains on the windows that are moldy. When I got home, all my clothes smelled like damp. A grout falls out of the tiles in the jacuzzi that you can feel with your feet, and some pieces hurt the skin. Also in the swimming pool broken tiles are dangerous. My daughter cut skin on her leg at the ankle. I fully not recommended.

Dirty rooms noisy rooms staff unhelpful cobwebs in room decor drab more like a 2 star hotel when I complained the manager didn't do anything to compensate.

Our family room was spacious and very clean. Staff warm, friendly and accommodating. Lovely reception team in particular. Pool great for kids. Our second visit and won't be our last.

Lovely friendly staff, great food and large spacious rooms. Really enjoyed my stay there and would definitely stay there again.

We stayed on the 2nd October 2021 room 64.
Extremely dissatisfied with the hotel. Dirty room, toilet seat filthy and scratched, toilet roll holder off the wall, Bed 2 singles pushed together with a gap in between and a mattress filthy and damp.
The breakfast was poor chipped and dirty cups /bowl
We had a great day at the races and came back booking in at 10.30. If we had booked in before the races we would have walked away. Shame on you Brook Mollington.

Mattresses are only fit for the skip totally disgusting people are paying there hard earned money out to sleep on stained mattresses.
The springs had totally gone in the one we had we did send the hotel an email but they have totally ignored us
I would recommend people check what there sleeping on before climbing into bed.

We had a room, no air conditioning, no ventilation,
windows could hardly be opened. It was over 30 degrees in our room and with a 3 year old it was unbearable and can be dangerous if they get too hot. we asked about fans about 3 times throughout the day and there wasn't any which I understand, wasn't given any other alternative I had to go down to reception at 1am to ask if there was anything that can be done — thanks to the man at reception at 1am think his name was Nik he moved us to a room with air conditioning which by the way when we first asked we got told none of the rooms had air conditioning… the room we moved to helped Alot and my little one could sleep after we've been travelling for nearly 4/5 hours. the staff were lovely and kind but I do recommend the rooms have more ventilation.

The hotel has so much much potential with beautiful gardens. Most of the staff were very helpful and accommodating. We were moved from one room as the sink was in front of the toilet we both have mobility issues so this wasn’t ideal. The evening meal was disappointing despite being relatively expensive the breakfast was poor and the bacon was like plastic. The furniture in the communal areas were worn, dated and a patchwork quilt of sofas and chairs. The manager at checkin was arrogant and rude. We complained that the hotel didn’t meet our expectations and this spoiled our one year anniversary. The hotel is well situated for North Wales, Liverpool and Manchester.

Wedding ruined. Shocking service. Avoid at all costs. We booked our wedding package with these for 31st oct 2020. Due to covid we were told to rebook so we chose 30th oct 2021 (email proof). After 5 months a guest rang to book a room only to find out they have booked my wedding on the WRONG date and now cant facilitate my wedding. They refuse a refund of my deposit PLUS extra paid towards it even though they will not have used my deposit to pay towards anything so far as they already have a wedding booked in that day. They cannot give me adequate reasoning to why this has not been refunded and im still yet to receive any money to rebook elsewhere. Please do not book wedding here.

Just awful here now as I write this filthy rooms and the food is just frozen pre packed awful service due to lack of staff. 1 member of staff running bar restaurant and room service.

Horrible place dirty rooms broken equipment 77 pounds a night what a joke currently here now room 28 disgusting especially with covid room is disgusting not clean won't be staying again tomorrow booked else where.

On arrival at the hotel we were treated by very friendly staff, that were more than helpful when our taxi was pinched by someone else and giving us advice where to go and what to do The hotel itself could be a beautiful space, likewise with the spacious rooms, but I feel is in need of a refurb quite desperately; stained curtains and chairs, TV that wasn’t working properly, amenities not in room that were stated on website and no lock on the door. Although we couldn’t use the spa or leisure facilities we were not disappointed as we understood our stay would be very different due to the recent pandemic. However, we were disappointed when we were lead to believe we would be having baguettes made up for us for breakfast as, due to Coronavirus, a Buffett would be out of the question, no problem! It was a shame when all we were given was a par-baked baguette, uncooked, with cold bacon, egg and tomato; this was the only option and had clearly been made in advance (sticker with best before date). We felt as though this being the only option, with no consideration for allergies or vegetarians, that this was lazy of the hotel and collectively with the other elements of the hotel, meant that we would not reconsider staying here until a refurbishment is done, which is a real shame as it’s in a prime spot and has so much potential! Having said that, we also understand that a refurb is easier said than done.

Very comfy bed meaning a great night's sleep. Fantastic swimming pool. Excellent breakfast in a lovely dining room.

Staff could not be more helpful. This hotel has a real friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Food from the restaurant was excellent.

If you need a massage then the staff were great however I would not book this as a spa experience. This is a hotel gym with a jacuzzi and broken steam room and sauna without any effort in presentation. We were not shown around we figured it out but you won’t feel pampered or looked after from visiting here. It’s potentially a lovely place that has not been invested in by its owner sadly. The first three lockers I opened were broken off hinges, they were not clean. Their were many broken tiles and evidence of a building in poor repair. The hotel toilets smelt of drains. The food was lovely but the area was skeleton staffed with a single person managing both reception and the bar area. The highlights were the food and therapists we met, with some care to the environment this place could be lovely.

Would not recommend this place to anyone. Stains on carpet curtains and furniture. Loose taps and broken tap on bath. Phone didn't work. One bottle of water between two people. All this after paying £20 extra for the executive room. Manager didn't seem to care and receptionist very rude.

Great food in the restaurant, lovely spa treatments, nice (and plentiful) afternoon tea and helpful and friendly staff.

Lack of working facilities within the very dated and dirty environment. Food was not great, tasted cheap and stale… not a great spa and afternoon tea.

We had a good visit to the brook Mollington all the staff apart from one receptionist where lovely. This includes the elderly man at breakfast who was exceptionally lovely and made us feel really welcome. Everyone we saw greeted us even some of the hotel guests. The spa was amazing although the saunas where both out of order the whole time. The only thing we would suggest would be to modernise the rooms. As we found these to be a bit out of date. The cleanliness of the rooms could have been better. Also only on the last day we were there, were we given a welcome pack in the room which would have been more beneficial on the first day we were there. But thank you for a lovely stay and making us feel very welcome.

Absolutely filthy room was disgusting the noise was unbearable sounded as if they were in your room. Looked at 3 rooms all were appalling checked out and refunded do not go you will be disappointed!

My husband and I had our wedding here in August 2019 and we couldn’t of wanted anything better.
The day was amazing the staff where all brilliant and Clive has been excellent, nothing I asked for or needed doing was no trouble at all. He went far and beyond to make our day perfect.
The food was outstanding and all the guests commented on how lovely the food was. The evening buffet was just as delicious. I wish we could do it all over again. Thank you Brook mollington for making our wedding day perfect. We will be returning for our 1st wedding anniversary.

Absolute dump of a place. Bought an overnight stay as a wedding gift for my nephew and his new wife. They said it was awful, have made an official complaint yet to get any response! Wish I had seen the review last month about mice before I booked it, avoid avoid avoid!

I spotted a deal on line for bed and breakfast so I and 3 friends came for a birthday. The hotel is dated, and I loved it. Like being in the 70s! Staff all really friendly, room clean, ate at the restaurant, meals were fab not too expensive and the bar wasn’t over priced. We got to use the leisure facilities from check in and all the next day. We’ve had a lovely stay and were really happy with everything.

Had a lovely afternoon in the spa today. Nice staff very friendly and efficient lovely facilities can’t wait too return. X.

I treated my friends to afternoon tea with a spa for helping me with supporting my charity night for Cancer Research UK and Macmillan. We all thoroughly enjoyed the afternoon all of the staff were very helpful and the afternoon tea was delicious and they catered for all of our different dietary requirements which was fantastic! It was nice to know we could go for a swim and then come back for our tea or coffee and sandwiches and cakes that we didnt manage to eat. Will definitely be back.

Stayed 2 nights bed breakfast and evening meal couldn’t fault it from start to finish lovely rooms very clean. Staff very friendly very helpful food was lovely to would definitely recommend we also used the spa facilities and had treatments.

Beautiful hotel, big rooms and beds and lovely staff that can’t do enough for you. The spa is relaxing and perfect size for a weekend retreat. Can’t wait to return as will definitely be back!

It is very run down and no staff.
Waited a while for our afternoon tea and drinks because the staff member was doing afternoon tea and treatments.
My daughter asked for the price list for treatments we never got it so you lost out on 2 treatments.
Would be upset if paid alot of money.
Such a shame this has been neglected Mollington banastre used to have an excellent name but afraid that is no longer the case.

Not a good experience! Stayed here with my husband for our wedding anniversary. Room was so dark, no light coming in the windows as big trees covered them. Mould on the nets of the windows. Room was very dated and had unmatched furniture that was also dated. Not very clean either & light flickering in bathroom. No free shampoos etc just half used bottles that everyone else had been using! Yuk!
Moved after one night due to mattress being so uncomfortable & flat. 2nd room was better but bed still very uncomfortable & pillows hard! Went for breakfast & no staff. We waited 20 mins for food. We stayed three days and did not once get asked if we wanted tea or coffee in the morning at breakfast. On our last night the waitress serving us broke down in tears. She was sent home & we were left waiting 30 mins for our desert. When the desert came it was just a blob thrown in a glass! Staff really need to concentrate more on their paying customers rather than ignore them. This is a four star hotel and we paid a lot of money to stay here. Would have been better off in a Premier Inn. We were so tired when we got home after having no sleep! Worst hotel we have stayed in for along time! Should be a 2 star not a 4! Very disappointed.

Cheap membership for family for a year and great friendly staff today whilst enquiring about. I will be down tomorrow to get my annual membership for family. All classes are free and included (spinning, yoga etc. ) and pool is a good size. Two x glass front squash courts with a quality gym and sauna, steam room, jacuzzi. Only a walk around today but I can't wait to start using daily from tomorrow.
Recommended and worth travelling too.

Disgusting changing rooms looks like they've not been cleaned in ages and funny smell. Luke warm jacuzzi & broken sauna. So disappointing. Will not be joining this gym as originally planned. Such a shame.

I was bought a voucher off groupon advertising a spa day and afternoon tea. Firstly you only get to go into the spa area treatment rooms if you buy treatments. I knew this offer didnt come with treatments and was fine with that. However our 'spa day' was sitting on what is essentially woven patio furniture at the side of the swimming pool. The jacuzzi was nice, the sauna could just fit in two people and the swimming pool when we got there was full of people using the leisure facilities. The shower facilities were appalling with rust everywhere and ceiling panels hanging down. The cakes at afternoon tea were nice but the sandwiches were stale. There wasnt enough seating for everyone in the pool area so most people sat in the bar/lounge area at the side of the pool and this quickly filled up. When we brought all this all with the manager he said the sandwiches were dry and had just been left out too long without cover — still not fit to be served then. He also explained that there are different levels of spa days, which we appreciate but as I explained I could have gone to my local total fitness and had a swim, sat on the side of a busy pool and used and sauna and the jacuzi. It just wasn't a spa day, which is what I'd was advertised at. The manager has offered us a discount on treatments if we contact him which was nice but not sure if we will be taking up this offer as the lesiure facilities aren't great.
