Just spent two wonderful nights at Wizards Thatch in The Camelot Suite, such an amazing magical place, we were not disappointed, stunning! And Ian was lovely showing us around, and giving advice on where to go, where to eat, such a wonderful experience, and will certainly go back… we were allowed to take our little blind dog with us too, I would certainly recommend Wizards Thatch it's incredible …

The most amazing birthday surprise ever! … I miss my magical chocolate box cottage already. The place is just beautiful inside and out and everything was just perfect. Especially the four poster bed!. Best nights sleep ever. Thank you for restoring this gorgeous house so we can all appreciate it. X.

Magical stay my kids were in awe of the magic of this place many intriguing and wonderful objects to explore a great dvd collection and facilities and Ian was a very helpful informative host will be back again soon.

EnchantinWhat a wonderful place! 400 year old house with amazing character! Obviously not everyone's taste but I was in heaven, walking distance to a lovely little village with some brilliant restaurants and bars. Ian met me when I arrived — he gave us a tour of the house and gave some advice about restaurants and introduced the area, brilliant host. There was an aged wooden smell to the house adding to it's character, exposed beams, lovely welcoming tray of tea's / coffee's, chocolate, cake and biscuits, it was lovely and cosy. There's a fridge available with some milk and also crockery and cutlery — no facilities to cook but there is not need to with restaurants in walking distance. Our room 'Camelot' had two bedrooms — both were beautifully decorated and very comfortable… the larger had a 4 poster bed (massive), a fireplace, TV, CD player, on-suite shower and sink… I had a very comfortable night sleep, as did my son in the smaller room. It had a sunken bathroom, a massive fire place in the living room, books, TV, DVD's available, settee and chair… there's a smoking area outside the door and parking available in walking distance. I didn't get to explore the surrounding area other than a walk through the village as I arrived late and left early (airport stopover) but I will certainly return for a longer visit. It is a little expensive if you only need one room, I got a discounted rate and needed 2 rooms so worked out very reasonable. G!

Staying here was a magical experience. It's a hidden gem that transports you to a fairy tale setting.

Owner needs to not block the entrance with his landy. … but nice place.

Dog friendly good food just the place to visit after a long walk.

Wow wow and wow again what a wonderful place full of character, also dog friendly a stones throw from the bars and cafes. Can't wait to return.

A wonderful, cosy and luxuries retreat in a ye olde worlde setting. A must stop place for those who love history and a sense of wonder an magic. I cant recommend The Wizards Thatch enough ;)

A great place to relax. Comfortable beds, really clean. A warm welcome from our host, who is dedicated to the cottage and its guests. Walking distance to shops, train station and the amazing countryside.

Amazing — no other word for it.

My son and girlfriend stayed here and loved it so much he is planning to book a weekend for us to stay. Can't wait!
