Very friendly managers, Really made you welcome. Was given a welcome shot on my arrival. Very nice Hotel. Enjoyed the evening. Vex the band were very entertaining. Singing variety of popular songs New and old.

Great stay whilst visiting family, staff helpful and food very good.

What a lovely Hotel. Not one of the modern chain hotels. An older building with lots of character. The food was lovely and freshly cooked. The breakfast was superb with lots of choice from cooked English or Continental.
The room I had was very very clean and homely.
Great value for money. What can I say about the staff. They were great. So polite and helpful. Always happy and more than willing to help. I stay at a lot of hotels around the country and this was one of the best. Fantastic!

We have just had Judy’s mums wake here, and the buffet provided was excellent, more than enough for everyone. Would highly recommend this establishment to anyone. Great service, kindness and politeness. Thanks to all.

I think this must be one of the worst places for a coffee in the whole of Cambridgeshire. The coffee was as weak as dishwater, the barman was worse than useless, there was no food to talk of and no l would not recommend to my worst enemy. Stay away!

Had a nice 2 day visit during a very hot spell of weather. Room was warm but we had a fan and opened the sash windows, king size bed and a TV. Breakfast 700 till 830 very nice freshly cooked with a choice of cerials fresh coffee and fresh juices. Very welcoming place and definitely recommend it for the price. Friendly staff in the center of town by the river and private parking to the rear.

Stayed over night, room was comfortable staff very welcoming, breakfast was very good will visit again next time we come down to yarmouth from whitby north yorkshire.

I really like this place. I stay in hotels about twenty times a year. I have been back here twice. Great location in the centre of Wisbech, a pretty town with a river. I picked this mainly for the handy location for work but good parking, decent breakfast and reasonable prices brought me back.

Spent a night there on Saturday forget to tell her I had mobility problems she changed our room no added cost was very helpful, We went to this area to collect two rescue dogs which we are homing. Two other guests had dogs with them very dog friendly. Two comments Not able to have wheel chair users no lift, nature of an old building. If you have dogs make sure you book a dinner if you require it one of our fellow guests didnt and could not find a place in town that would take them. If you are looking for a rescue dog, Try the Doodle Trust they have been great.

Yep, our room is comfortable and cleane. There is a large double bed and the shower is great. Food is also very good here, and there is car parking. Thank you for a good stay White Lion staff.

I went to the White Lion late afternoon, early evening before they were officially doing food. Chef starts at 6.30pm. The bar staff went out of there way to make sure we didn't go hungry and made us filled jacket potatoes as we needed to leave before the chef arrived. The food was delicious and well presented. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. We will now become regular customers.

After making the booking and reading previous reviews we requested an upgrade to a room at the front of the hotel. This was agreed and despite offering payment over the phone we were advised we should pay on arrival. When we arrived we were shown to a room at the back of the hotel. It was small and not what we had reserved. We were then moved to a larger room at the front of the building. This was more suitable, however, we were then told we could only have it for the Friday night and have to move rooms on the Saturday as someone had booked that room and had paid. We felt this was unfair and strange as we were advised not to pay over the telephone. Hotel staff were apologetic but completely unwilling to allow us to remain in the room we had requested. We went out for a meal and drinks but when we returned our larger room had been cleared; including all personal valuable possessions and dumped in a small room at the rear above the kitchen and outside bar area. Unacceptable. Note: Rooms are Noisy at the back from bar and drinkers. Poorly lit car park. Despite pictures online the reception areas are tired and in need of attention. Rooms are not cleaned to a good standard.

White lion hotel is a very nice place to go for a quiet drink. There are two separate bar areas. One part has a music box and a darts board for entertainment. There is also a beer garden which is lovely to sit outside of. The atmosphere could use a little more excitement.

Staff are lovely and extremely accommodating. Double bedrooms are huge with clean, modern en suite. The option of a cooked breakfast is well worth it and a cozy bar and spacious upstairs function room are also available.

Bar food ok but could be great with a bit of effort. Ok service but a little too friendly and no knowledge of food menu. Would go back again.

Not recommended on so many levels!
