Great afternoon tea and very attentive staff.

Please spend more time providing staff, tablecloths, decorating the restaurant and cleaning the toilet facilities… Boxing day lunch was an utterly shockingly bad experience! And not even a duty manager to speak to and support the staff who were suitably embarrassed.

The Hotel Felix in my opinion, is the best hotel in Cambridge. The warmth you feel from both the stunning venue and incredible staff is just what you want from a hotel. The ambience feels very ‘special’ and the staff cannot do enough. Thank you to everyone at The Felix for a wonderful evening.

We only went for the cream tea, which was served in the Orangery.
We purposefully went because we could take our dogs.
Everyone was very friendly and pleased to see our dogs, they had reserved us the table we asked for and fetched us a big bowl of water for the dogs.
The tea was very nice, all went well and we could walk the dogs round the grounds afterwards.
Thank you everyone.
Next time we plan to try the brunch, with our dogs of course!

Spacious and modern function and dining rooms with attentive staff. Unfortunately did not stay overnight but we definitely would do for a stay in Cambridge!

Absolutely breathtaking from the moment you arrive. The building is stunning, the staff are friendly and accommodating. We had breakfast in the morning which we had in the garden. This was perfect I cannot fault it. 10/10. Will definitely be staying again.

Lovely food last night in Graffiti Restsurant. Smoked mackerel mousse was lovely and the main course tuna salad gorgeous. All well presented. Great for after work treat!

Had a lovely evening in the Orangery, which was lovely and cool considering that Cambridge was the hottest place in the UK today. The new menu had way too much too choose from for one visit. So will have to go back soon. Full of seasonal fresh tasty produce, full of flavour. Highly recommend this hotel restaurant. Don’t wait for a special occasion, just go, after all every day you deserve something special.

Great hotel. The room was spacious and clean. Would have preferred a larger shower unit (just me! ). The staff are super friendly and helpful with great advice about the local area. It would have been 5 stars, it's just the cooked side of the breakfast for me wasn't up to scratch. A colleague order a full english, just a lack of care with the food. My scrambled egg with smoked salmon, a lot of egg not so much salmon. I think it would have been nicer, served as Eggs Royal. If you can do that Eggs Benedict / Florentine is that far off, unfortunately not offered on the breakfast menu. But the breakfast tea was really enjoyable.

A quiet and elegant hotel well situated for West Cambridge. My preferred option but book early because it often fills up.

Went to the hotel for my birthday, it's a beautiful secluded hotel, very clean and has spacious rooms. The food was lovely. The staff members were helpful and polite.

Very nice hotel, very well run and the food at dinner and breakfast was fantastic. We would like to thank the restaurant manager for reacting to a sudden influx of guests for breakfast by opening up another area almost instantly, that shows experience with his finger on the pulse.

Really rather disappointed. We booked the first floor for our wedding reception, and the rooms were ready 1.5 hours late — for the bridal suite and all guess rooms. We were given a ‘free drink’ half of which didn’t even turn up. We were stressed and late starting due to this, and it meant guests were waiting. Drinks were extremely expensive, and I mean extremely. Double what you’d paid at a pub, and this wasn’t known to us before booking. The DJ was okay but didn’t ask us w…hat we wanted. The morning after, a family member who’d booked their own room, despite being part of the bridal party were expected to pay a £75 fee on top of their £135 room price, due to not spending £75 in the restaurant. A ridiculously clause, and that price if not more was spend at the bar. Overall, very extensive and a bit of a stressful experience. A real shame because it’s a beautiful place, but I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.

Fantastic quiet location, I’ve been to the Felix hotel on many occasions and I have always been treated as an individual. Pleasant staff that really welcome you. Wonderful food, beautifuly maintained grounds.

Spacey rooms, good breakfast, but that's all that's good about it. The water doesn't stay warm, it gets form cold to hot, then back to cold in unpredictable cycles. The room is not "victorian", it's just full of outdated and worn appliances. The staff is unfriendly and snobby, greets you by pre-authorizing 100 pounds in case you steal from minibar. (Although, it's whole content isn't worth that much). So yes, they view you as potential thief from the start. The cleaning lady just threw away my stuff, because she was unsure if I was leaving yet or not. I was able to recover most of it with the help of a manager, who was very helpful and even offered a free drink for the trouble. But that was again spoiled by a snobby receptionist on checkout, when she presented me with a bill, when I asked if she was sure I wasn't billed twice, she, without hesitation said yes, I needed to pay. Then, only after I argued, that I was pretty sure it was already paid, and at check-in they said I was fine, she asked another person "what does this mean? " in computer and was told that it meant that it's paid, I was told that I'm free to go then. No excuses. Maybe it's just my unfortunate chain of events. I hope so, but otherwise it looks like the policy in this hotel is to blame the client, make them pay, throw away their things any time you're unsure of something. I haven't met service so terrible in my entire life yet. Just stay away from this place!

Bit pricey but the staff are so friendly and the rooms were very clean, of a good size and the beds were comfortable. Plus complementary breakfast and 12.00 check out. Perfect!

Our stay at Hotel Felix was great. Beautiful setting with clean rooms and super friendly staff. Can't recommend enough!

Lovely hotel, nice walk into Cambridge. Highly recommend as it has a large carpark. Lovely breakfast in the morning. Excellent rooms are equipped and value for money.

A beautiful day at the Felix. The staff are very friendly and polite. The celebration we attended was well managed and the food was excellent.

Beautiful building, nice room at first glance. Unfortunately it went downhill from there. Sink tap broken, shower didn't stay hot and flood the bathroom. Room not cleaned properly and found a previous guests haircuts on the floor. Woke up to no electricity (or hot water), so couldn't prepare my babies milk in the morning. Went down to breakfast, was greeted with a cold full English that looked like it was someone's leftovers (half a tomato, a small black pudding cut in half). I refused to eat or pay for it. Left very disappointed.

I was lucky enough to find this gem of a hotel, all the staff were exceptionally welcoming and informative. However the poignant point of this wonderful hotel is that they are dog friendly, I arrived with my two great Danes and we were all made to feel very welcome, the hotel has a wonderful orangery where you can eat and drink with your dog (s) and lovely grounds with a public walk way just by it and a large park just over the road. The facilities are 5 star, so regardless if you are travelling with your dog or not this is a hotel to book!

Love this hotel… great size rooms. Beautifully decorated and very clean. Beautiful grounds. We have been staying at this hotel over the last 3 years and they never disappoint.

Recently had afternoon tea here and was so extremely impressed. The quality of the food and the service from the staff were all excellent.

Beautiful renovated mansion house with lovely gardens, perfect for our dog Molly. On site restaurant with good food and the orangery allow dogs. Very comfortable beds too. Staff brilliant and made a big fuss of our dog whenever they saw her, with lots of dog treats. Perfect place to spend a few days in Cambridge.

Rooms are good. Bed are brilliant. Not a fan of the £50 deposit on arrival. Especially as it was 12am when I arrived and was checking out 8 hours later. But all in all very nice hotel.

Came here on a Saturday lunch time wanting to try out the a la carte menu, this wasn't available, due to it changing that evening. So we settled for the set menu and this did not disappoint, I had the smoked haddock risotto with the poached egg. Stunning dish and cooked with passion! I was very hesitant when ordering as I'm particular about my risotto. My friend had the chicken liver parfait, just looking at it you new it had been cooked to the 65 degree temp and no more from the pinkness of it, to top it off clarified butter around the edges to stop it from oxidising — Perfect! Very smooth! our mains we both had the slow cooked beef with creamed potato and cavil nero! Seasoning was on point and so was the cavil nero with the butter it was finished in had that nutty taste to it! the creamed potato was beautiful and very smooth also! Could not fault the food can't wait to return to try the a la carte. The service was fantastic as well not to sure about the decor of the restaurant though.

We booked Hotel Felix for a wake. The service we received was perfect. The staff were extremely respectfully of the occasion but at the same time were readily available to help when needed.

Wonderful hotel with nice history and adorned with carefully curated pieces of art. In-house restaurant is respectable and the service is polite and effective. Located slightly outside the center of town but within easy reach of up and coming community developments.

Great up-market dog friendly hotel, after arriving we were greeted with a doggy goody bag. We ate with her in the orangery, were we had a big family lunch. The staff were very attentive and friendly. They boast large grounds to walk the dog, however it’s just a grassed boundary and garden area, nothing massive. The location was good with easy car access, however, you can walk straight for an hour to the centre of town. We were upgraded to a suite upon check-in, the room was spacious, great decor and facilities. The toiletries are the White Company. Overall amazing experience, we will return.

Pros: Rooms are spacious and bed is comfy. Bathroom is very nice with separate bath and shower. Cons: a bit away from the city, which could be a pro if you like quiet. Not much in the way of a front desk, very easy for outsiders to just walk in, which I found odd.

Good hotel with very comfortable rooms to a high standard. Nice calm atmosphere. Good breakfast. In summary provides good value.

We returned to the Hotel Felix as just visitors to celebrate our tenth wedding anniversary. Our wedding ceremony and reception had been held at the hotel, ten years previously to the day, an event which went superbly with everything 100% On our return we again found the service from the staff to be to the same excellent standard, the meal we had was superb, and the friendliness of the staff most welcome. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our brief visit, afternoon/ evening and are completely happy to recommend the hotel and staff to everyone.

Attended a private event where a large room had been rented out. Cannot fault the staff, the state of the room or the facilities. Had a really great night.

Absolutely fantastic hotel, the room was amazing. The location is great as it's just outside of the town centre so it's easy to park and walk into town. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Really recommend.

I have mixed feelings about Hotel Felix. The majority of staff were helpful and friendly, though being given the incorrect time for dinner, and then recieving a poor response from a member of staff when we brought this up soured our evening. Clean rooms with nice bathrooms and all the expected amenities. There's a nice outdoor terrace where you can have breakfast in the morning. The hotel is about 25 minutes walk from the city centre, though you can stop off on the way at Castle Mound for a nice view of the city.

Great location, nice rooms and very nice staff. What makes this place really special is traveling with dogs. Perfect service for the dog, absolutely recommend it!

We stayed there for two nights, it was really nice and quite, the staff were very helpful. I like it there because it is historical area with plenty of old buildings and not noisy at all. The hotel has a big green area around it where you can set peacefully with the sounds of birds and relax.

Fantastic veggie breakfast. Very nice modern rooms. A half hour walk from the centre.

Brilliant service and rooms but the food was terrible. Worst meal I've ever eaten out and I eat out twice a week with work.

We had a lovely lunch, quite affordable too with a set menu the Saturday before father's day. One of our party also felt faint as it was a very warm that day and the staff were very professional with helping her.

Food pretty good, although not amazing for the price. The scenery and setting however, were gorgeous in the beautiful summer weather. Would potentially come back for a special occasion.

Sadly, on the last two occasions I found some of the staff very unfriendly and curt. Shame, used to be a great place to dine.

What a lovely Hotel, great facilities and style. Great staff and service. England beat France in the 6 nations too, viewed on a huge screen in the room! Nice bathroom and of course, in close proximity to Cambridge which we were blessed with sunny weather and some photo opportunities and culture! I normally am reticent to complain but Friday's dinner was let down by a fatty gristley steak for Mandy. When I pointed this out, with almost half of her steak left, there was no apology from the waiter, or the manager he told. Sadly we wouldn't return based on that failure.

Nice looking place. However, overpriced and understaffed. Snotty, rude hotel manager. They just don't understand how to offer good service. This place is definitely all fur coat and no knickers.

Spent 1 day/night at Hotel Felix on a Saturday afternoon/evening. Hotel overall was very good, with excellent food and a high quality standard in the rooms as well. Breakfast was a treat and had to be restrained not to go for the full English (very unlike me! ). Only downside would be that it can be a little snobby in the bar/seating areas depending on who has 'popped in' for afternoon tea but then this could have been a one off. Highly recommended.

A fantastic stay, thoroughly recommended. The hotel is very well appointed, we had a lovely suite just off of the main house. What really makes this hotel is the restaurant, Graffiti. The two guys that ran the bar and restaurant during our stay were brilliant, just the sort of service you'd expect from a high end hotel. The menu and wine list were spot on, far better than at any of the other luxury hotels in the city.

Very nice for business lunch or dinner. No idea if the rooms match the quality of the food.
