Afternoon tea, cakes were dry, not impressed with the sandwiches and the service was not the best we had in the past.

Very very impressed with the hotel, staff and exceptional food!
One of the best 2 course dinners ever and we have eaten out a lot!
Can highly recommend this hotel and Restauant.

Lovely hotel, fabulous food and very welcoming staff. Only criticism is that the bedrooms are quite tatty tired and old fashioned, same also for the bathrooms. Food in Dukes restaurant was gorgeous.

Absolutely brilliant place, could not fault it at all. Rooms large and airy, food was really fabulous both at dinner and breakfasts and the service was really wonderful. All good was piping hot. Due to covid you pre-order your breakfast and select a time slot the night before so your table is laid for you with your choice of cereals, yoghurts, condiments etc and the hot drinks and food brought out. Worked like clockwork. Highly recommend this hotel, thank you to the staff who were all truly lovely.

Myself and hubby to be had a gorgeous meal in here from the festive menu. It was meant to be our wedding day but go cancelled due to covid. Going to villiers definitely made the day better ❄ definitely recommend and we will be back.

Comfortable rooms and wonderful staff.

Stayed at Villiers 18th & 19th September. From the moment we very easily found the free secure park it got better On reception the two ladies were Pleasant Chatty and informative. The Room was spotless spacious & bed comfortable. Bar area and restaurant clean fabulous food & lovely professional work team. Little area in a courtyard to sit out if you wish. Felt very safe during our stay all staff permanently wore mask and social distance was second nature. Will definitely return. Beautiful surrounding areas to visit. Thank you all see you soon.

We stayed here 3/5 th jan. Absolutely beautiful room and all staff were fab… the receptionist went above and beyond. Breakfast and service so good, would give it 20 out of 10. Lovely market town.

Fantastic wedding venue food was great and the staff was great nothing was too much trouble room was good as well.

My go to hotel in Buckingham. Always a great welcome and great service. Spacious and clean rooms, great breakfast. Cosy bar and fabulous restaurant. Also town centre so handy for shops, bars and other restaurants. Highly recommended.

Was a nice hotel and reasonably priced, however, it was apparebt as I sat on the floor, it ja6d not been hoovered (if it jad thry did a terrible job, the room was dusty, there was 1 tea bag, 2 sugars and 2 coffees in the pots for hot drinks and when I got in the bath, I had to get out empty it and clean it with baby wipes as there was loads of grime rings around the inside of the bath.
the breakfast however was lovely, the staff were really nice, and the rest of the stay was lovely.

We only stayed the night for an event the following day. Lovely clean hotel and beautiful room. There was plenty of choice for breakfast and very tasty. We found it easy to find, travelling up from Wales. Staff were friendly too.

I live in hotels and have stayed in a suite at Villiers this week. Good: spacious, good location, parking, excellent food. Not so good: a bit dated, no pool/gym, had to get my access card replaced/re-programmed 4 times in 5 days. If you visit Buckingham, this is the best place to stay.

Stayed here on 28th/29th July (Room 122) for a drive at Silverstone. The circuit is only a 12 minute drive away — (Bicester Village 21 minutes for those that might be interested). Our room was superb, roomy, comfortable, very well, and stylishly, finished with bags of character — and a lovely comfy bed. The staff were very friendly and helpful, responding well to requests and proactively offering suggestions. We took up the deal for Room, Dinner and Breakfast, which proved to be an excellent choice. The Dukes Restaurant had a superb choice of very good, well cooked and presented food, served by very pleasant staff with a smile. The adjacent Dukes Bar (which has a lovely beamed ceiling, wood panelling and inglenook) had plenty of real ales, and was a smashing place to relax. I honestly wished we could have stayed longer.

Went here for lunch and had the burger, it was really tasty! Really nice chips and proper coleslaw, no messing about with red cabbage etc, best coleslaw I've had in ages! My friends had the truffle Macaroni and the pork loin, they both really enjoyed also! Highly recommend the food here. Not too expensive either.

It's a nice hotel. In general, the order, a normal restaurant. Thermoregulator in the room. Stayed many times and choose this one as more cozy.

Lovely local hotel with friendly staff and bar. Food is average and has room for improvement. Generally better for social drinks than a family meal unless they improve the menu and quality of food. Cosy bar in winter with open fire.

Has afternoon tea which was really tasty and a good selection of food. Staff let it down though. The music was off so could hear personal conversations and how one was desperate for a fag and how one had fallen out with her mate. Floor had food over it. Seemed a lot of staff going very little. Wasn’t busy as only us and another table there. Shame that let it down.

We had our engagement party here on Saturday and we absolutely loved it. The staff were all so helpful and friendly and nothing was too much trouble for any of them. Emily took care of us from the beginning with all of the planning until right to the end. Thank you for making our day and night so special. The venue is gorgeous and the ballroom is amazing Xxx.

Service was appalling. We visited today to celebrate my birthday and were ignored for 45 minutes while waiting for staff to take the dessert order. While two of the staff were newly trained the manager failed to assist them in any way. We caught his attention but he ignored us. We approached him and he ignored us, walking away into the kitchen and leaving a junior member of staff to deal with our complaint. When we finally talked to him he lacked any sense of customer service and clearly could not manage his role. Do not visit unless you want to be ignored and badly treated.

Food good — if you can get someone to serve you! Will not be returning.

Hadn't set foot in this hotel since the days of The Swan and Castle. Wow — what a transformation! Stayed over on Sunday evening. Tastefully furnished bedroom, excellent food, friendly and courteous staff. Definitely recommend Villiers.

Good service, very limited on site parking though. Excellent comfortable rooms, however the bathrooms are looking very dated and in need of modernisation.

Held a meeting at the newly refurbished conference centre at the Villiers. Really nice venue. Beautiful rooms, good AV equipment, great food and very helpful staff. Great place for a meeting.

Has a nice quiet afternoon lunch with the missus. Pleasant staff, nice atmosphere.

Went for the reopening and was pleasantly surprised. Staff were attentive and professional. Food and drink were of a great standard. Will continue to visit and support the hotel and bar.

I went for dinner there around Christmas time and the food was good and reasonably priced. The service was also quick and professional. The restaurant has recently undergone a renovation and looks and feels fantastic.

Nice hotel however there were building works starting before 8am, not really acceptable.

We went here for my Dad's retirement treat. The staff were very attentive and could not do enough for us. The afternoon tea was so delicious. We were even brought extra sandwiches with different fillings. All 6 of us were full! Would highly recommend.

My friend and I had a super meal on Saturday! The food was amazing and the waiters and waitresses were brilliant. A beautiful and relaxed place that u would highly recommend

We have really enjoyed staying at the Villiers Hotel. The breakfast is varied and of good quality. Staff are friendly and helpful. Our room is everything we had hoped for.

Large comfortable rooms. A little dated and the bathrooms could use an update, particularly the showers, but warm and loads of space, and good facilities throughout. Breakfast service seemed overwhelmed but there was a large group of us all needing breakfast at the same time. Really accommodating and friendly staff, and off street parking. All in all, really good for what was needed, and would be happy to stay again.

Went for lunch for my Nan & Grandad's 60th wedding anniversary. Lovely food, had the 3 course lunch menu, which is really good value. Good pint of hooky. Pleasant, attentive and friendly staff. Nice decor throughout.

Woke up this morning at circa 7.15 by a beer barrel delivery right outside my window. Nothing like the sound of metal barrels rolling across concrete to wake you up. This was with the window wide open because the rooms are roasting and you cannot lower the temp unless you have the window wide open. Also notices the cleaner was quite keen, coming in my room when I was downstairs at breakfast. This I felt was a bit intrusive and weird. Height of showers is suitable to accommodate a tall hobbit but not a strapping highlander man like myself. These are perhaps remnant of another age. Wifi is at best terrible, and often stops working because for some reason you need to provide an email address at reception to receive a password. This often fails and needs to be reset by going to reception. Decent breakfast though.

Food excellent, staff excellent service, very enjoyable weekend.

My wife was disappointed because there was no shower cap. I was disappointed as I only got one cup coffee during the slow breakfast despite asking and waiting a really long time before leaving without.

We had our wedding here. Jean Rush was excellent in helping arrange everything and the evening went really well. Have also been here for a couple of meals and the food has always been very good.

My wife and I have just spent a night at Villiers Hotel to celebrate our 45th wedding anniversary. We would like to say a very big thank you to Jean and all the lovely, friendly staff for making our stay such an enjoyable one, Our evening meal was absolutely delicious and our room very quiet and comfortable. What made it so memorable was that nothing seemed too much for the staff. It was one of the best hotels we have stayed in and we would certainly return there if the opportunity arises.

Just lovely had our wedding there everything was perfect.

Villiers is without any doubts the best hotel in the area : great service and food and very large rooms.
