Pit stopped here for the night whilst travelling with work, from the minute I walked through the door they couldn't do enough to make it a pleasant stay. Although due to the current situation they are on a limited food menu this certainly didn't affect the quality of the food for such a valued price which I would recommend to anyone after a light bite whether passing through or visiting for the live football they show on the outside screen in the nice weather.
They have a good selection of draughts as well as spirits at none complainable prices thats for sure. The accomodation they provide just a stones throw away being next door is exceptionally clean with all amenities required for a short or long term stay if required. Bed was really comfy, my room was light and airy and just all round a nice place to know I was sleeping in after a long day on the road. The breakfast provided within my selected room rate consisted of a full english with toast and a tea or coffee of your choice and it couldn't of been better at all! absolutely belting to kick start another long day. If your passing and fancy a warm welcome from the team with a nice pint or lite bite this is the pub for you. Thank you for a pleasant stay even if just for the 1 night and I will certainly be back in the future when travelling through again for sure.

The website doesn’t state no children, the only thing I see the words ‘suits everyone ‘. We turned up to be asked to leave. The looks we received because I walked in with my 8 year old daughter. She felt humiliated. Pubs usually give a warm welcome.

Signs outside said “Open All Day” But was all locked up today st 14:00. With no explanation. Poor Show.

A very friendly local pub with a hotel attached. The landlord and landlady are very friendly and helpful, the rooms are a good size, basic but everything you need. The Wi-Fi is a little annoying, depending on which room you get depends if you can pick up a signal. The hotel is very well located for Wokingham train station and just a 30 minute flat walk from the town centre where there are plenty of decent restaurants and bars.

Only one beer on tap, food hit and miss: breakfast eggs weren’t well cooked, dinner was average. Coffee was not nice at all. Too many TV screens in dining area, lacking in ambiance. All lights on or off in the rooms, one switch didn’t work. Bathroom taps difficult to get to (too close to the sink and should be replaced with mixer taps anyway! ).

On the occasion of Christine's (enter your favourite number here) birthday, we had the pleasure of meeting John and Christine and all the locals and flower people from the 60's. It was a great evening and lots of fun. All the best for many more, The Keynotes.

More characters than a Monty Python sketch, and the chief … well great sense of humour. The rooms are clean and the food was great. Highly recommended if you want a laugh. (But beware of the cheese thief and it's not a mouse)
