Nice atmosphere and staff. Food is good too!

Celebrated NYE here, very good ambient and atmosphere, very good food and reasonably priced. Pizza was authentic Italian and very well made, service was good overall 👍🏻💯

Service was shocking even though we booked a month in advance! Excuses and stride of the lady who was in charge of booking was disgusting! Excuses Your early! 10 minutes 😂 We are busy 🤷‍♂️ Didn’t expect you? What with a booking Your table isn’t ready we haven’t the staff and to be fair it’s only for 2 people so not really a concern as we have bigger bookings? Yes but we come in every week! Well not any more.

Food was absolutely delicious & the staff we’re amazing! Rooms look lovely & have great facilities. But the mattress was too hard and like sleeping on the floor.

We ate in the dining room. Food was excellent, service superb. Kids menu was good. Nice ambience with other families. Only negative was the coffee.

I can’t recommend The Royal Foresters enough! We love it here because of the relaxed atmosphere; Summer, Autumn and Winter, they bring the vibes. Dog friendly, epic roasts, pizzas on point (Napoli Forte will change your life) and stylish rooms! What have they done for me during lockdown?! They have brought the epic vibes of the pub right to my front room… doorstep delivery and my menu faves have made lockdown all the more bearable! Hats off to all the staff, you guys are smashing it. Roll on Summer 2021, save us a table for two, plus pup! James & Sophie and Penny Girl.

Great take out menu… the burger for two… so much fun to cook together, simple instructions and tastes so much like the real deal but missing the royal foresters atmosphere.

Brilliant takeaway pizzas delivered last night, just the same as in the restaurant, arrived on time, fabulous. Just a shame can’t be there but highly recommend and thanks to RF for doing a takeaway menu. Great, will do again.

Fabulous place … booked to stay before going to Lapland and what an amazing hotel! The food and service in the restaurant was just fantastic! Room was perfect and Covid safety measure all in place! This place should have 5 stars!

Fabulous food. Felt wonderfully safe and relaxed in this Covid era. Staff friendly and helpful and the whole thing felt “normal” and comfortable and just yummy!

Just had the most wonderful overnight stay here for my niece’s big birthday party. What a lovely place!
Was a bit put off at first because the clientele and staff were so young and hip — I’m an old bird! But everyone was so friendly and nice.
The food at the party — pizzas, antipasti and salads — was first class: all homemade, delicious and plentiful.
Our room — a disabled double — had the best disabled shower facilities I have ever encountered in a hotel. It was superb and I wanted to bring it home with me. If only so much thought could be put into things like this in other establishments! The bed was firm but incredibly comfortable and our room was scrupulously clean.
Our large family breakfast the morning after the night before was ridiculously good. It was one of the best full English breakfasts I’ve ever eaten and was enormous! Others in our party had Eggs Royale, Eggs Benedict, Eggs Funghi — they were all superb too. Have to mention the servers — what a nice bunch! Everything was done with such style, too.
Our night’s stay was very reasonably priced, considering the huge breakfast, lovely location and general ‘hipness’ — I highly recommend it.

Lovely place for friends celebration dinner. Lots of big groups there some were very noisy sadly. Staff were excellent and the food was very nice.

Just back from a family Sunday Lunch here. Food was a scrumptious, and enjoyed by all both old and young. They even catered for my fussy 2 year old without batting an eye lid. The waitress Amber was absolutely fantastic, attentive, kind, polite and beyond helpful. She made us feel welcome and nothing was ever too much trouble even when the baby dropped her food all over the floor. She is an absolute credit to the establishment. The only thing that let down our afternoon was the 2 lady customers sat on the table next to us, who spent the entire meal muttering and remaking about my children and the fact that they dropped some food etc. They made me feel extremely uncomfortable by the comments and judging. Unfortunately I felt the need to cut short our meal and leave after the mains, dispute wanting sweets, because I just couldn’t sit there any longer listening to someone saying those things about my babies any longer. Apart from that issue, we had a lovely time in the actual venue.

A very good menu good service. Comfortable chairs to sit at table lovely setting will visit again soon.

Nice enough venue but really disappointed by the pathetic portion of chips with the chicken burger. For 14 quid it was insulting. The plate was half empty. For this much money I would expect double the number of chips. A nice sauce for dipping etc and a salad. I complained and to be fair they gave me some more chips but it kind of misses the point. Chips are cheap to produce! Come on, raise your game as the place has potential.

Done up very nice and tastefully. Some of the old features are visible Very trendy with lovely beer gardens/patio, Dog friendly too. Beers a bit pricey. Food looks nice as well. What a transformation.

Very poor experience on Sat August 11th.
Food was dire… pork ribeye special was under cooked, chewy and inedible. It came with parsnips that were rock hard! My wife had the same main course with the same awful result.
The apples in my dessert of apple and berry crumble were also large lumps of undercooked fruit with a burnt topping. Both courses were returned as unfit to eat so my complete meal was a starter of prawns! Added to this we had to constantly remind staff that we were awaiting our drinks… not a great experience and I felt sorry for our waitress… Ellie… who did her best in vety difficult circumstances. A real shame as I run a business local to here and had high hopes that we would have a nearby place to visit regularly.

Went with two friends expecting a pleasant evening! We received. A warm welcome, very accommodating waiting staff but from there, it went down hill. Restaurant extremely noisy due to low ceilings, we could not hold a conversation, we had to shout at each other. The food was expensive for what is was. The menu was not inspiring, the food lacked flavour and not well presented; very disappointing. As a result, we were offered a free sweet, but this hot sweet came luke-warm. And beware… the drinks prices are ASTRONOMICAL. Not an experience we will be repeating.

I live in the USA and was lucky enough to go opening weekend to the Royal Foresters. There were many issues which I think stem from miscommunication and the restaurant being new. They need to work out some bugs: It took a while to get a seat even with a reservation, the food took a long time to come, dessert order came incorrectly, and drink orders were doubled. Given that, the people are really friendly and make it personal to fix problems. The manager Jess explained the issues and took it up herself to make things right by staying late and personally take our orders for dessert. Of all the places I've ever had problems, this was the most fun. Jess even took my young son on a special tour to see the pizza oven. It made him very happy. The young waitress was friendly and did fine for her first few days at a new place. The House Burger with Sweet Potato Fries was really excellent. I wish I didn't have to go back to the USA so soon so I could have another! I've had many burgers and that one was really top notch. The sweet potato fries were really good too, not to sweet and not salty. They were really nice. I really enjoyed the food, it is really good. I think with time the other issues will be fixed very soon. Only thing I didn't like about the redesign of the restaurant is that they put a high traffic computer screen used by many staff members right behind the table we sat at. It is just kind of awkward.

Highly recommend The Royal Foresters, we had some nibbles shared a main & pudding, all lovely! Staff were so good & very attentive. Great atmosphere can’t wait to go back & try more food on the menu! The wine was yummy too.

The new Royal Foresters is great! Fantastic food, great staff and the refurbishment looks amazing. Just come back from Sunday lunch, the food was amazing and just want to say that Dennis was our waiter and was totally amazing, heads up to Chloe too, so lovely! Please everyone support our new local pub/restaurant it’s just fantastic x.

Had a wonderful evening last night 28th July! Decor is amazing keeping some of the old and incorporating modern! Lovely atmosphere, fantastic staff, a great varied menu with something for everyone! Service was slick and staff very attentive! Its true what they say you get what you pay for and can be a little pricey but it’s worth every penny! Well done to everyone involved in getting The Royal Foresters back on the map for Ascot! We will be going back even if just for a drink in the garden! Thank you for helping us celebrate our anniversary in style! Arlette and Tony Fright x.

7 of us dined this evening and had the most amazing experience. The atmosphere of the restaurant is warm and friendly. Beautiful dining area with lovely decor. The food was cooked to perfection and nothing was too much for the staff. The staff were friendly efficient and professional. I will certainly be coming back. Well done for providing such a great restaurant and bar to our community. I will certainly be recommending to friends and family.
