I've eaten at the red lion several times with colleagues. Recently we went just before the ownership changed hands. Because of this, I'm unsure how much will change, including drinks, food menu, staff. Thus, I shall look to review again under new management.

Fair. Rooms, especially the bathrooms in dire need of a complete renewal-old wallpapers falling off, uneven sink, etc. Comfy king size bed. Small telly, yet flat and with a remote in working condition. Outdated windows-won't close properly. Poor ventilation. Other than that breakfasts maybe not the biggest, nonetheless freshly prepared to a reasonable order. Friendly hosts. Place simply needs investing some funds in an update. Rural, peaceful surroundings.

Friendly staff, good quality pub grub and a decent pint. Apparently the rooms are good too though I've not stayed there myself.

Lovely food, just a little slow.

Beer is normally good, and the food is OK (not brilliant, but not bad). The restaurant side feels a bit dated and less than 'really welcoming' and (if pushed to be honest) so do the staff.

Plenty of car parking spaces when I arrived midday. Room was small but quaint, bed very comfortable and room was reasonably clean and tidy. Only fault was shower had little water pressure so not very enjoyable. Breakfast was small but tasty.

Old fashioned pub. No Guinness! Does have London Stout.

Excellent! Inventive menu lots of vegetarian choices (good choice of meat dishes too). Attentive and friendly staff. We look forward to returning.
