Sunday lunch — just perfect. Friendly and knowledgeable staff, delicious roast (gravy was spot on! ), great wine list — we decided on the Gouguenheim Malbec 🍷Delicious. Already planning a return visit.

We used the Dukes for a surprise party for 40 people last night and had a great experience. The buffet was lovely, and Sarah and her team were very accommodating right through from my initial enquiry all the way through to the night itself. If you’re looking for a cosy venue for a celebration with parking and friendly staff then this is definitely the place to go! Thank you Sarah and team!

We stayed one night. Lovely clean and comfortable accommodation. Fabulous dinner and wine. Service and friendliness is second to none! Breakfast this morning was perfectly cooked.

We had a lovely big meal for my daughter's 5th birthday mid October. Food was lovely, the area was perfect and the staff were amazing. Thank you.

Really lovely service and good quality food. I ran a networking event there over lunch and we had the whole area to ourselves. Would definitely recommend this venue if you are looking to hire out a space and they also have overnight accommodation too.

Had an absolutely wonderful evening at The Dukes. From cider to champagne to wine to cocktails and starters to mains to pudding — all was fabulous! Even had live music and lit candles in the table. The outdoor seating is available in pods and umbrellad tables. Koi pond for added charm as well! Sarah and Karisa took great care of us and we are already looking at when we can return! We didn’t stay in the hotel, but we were allowed to park our campervan for the night. ❤️❤️

Phoned The Dukes as we couldn't book a table anywhere in town, they managed to allocate a pod for us.
The service from Christian and Keris was 5*, they were very friendly and attentive.
Once a warmer and better pod became available they offered to move us.
Drinks were very reasonably priced and the Nachos were good 👍

Just had the best meal we have had in a while at this venue. Chicken/duck terrine, Pork belly, mash and fresh veg followed by popcorn panacotta and peanut butter ice cream. All washed down with a delicious Chablis! Lovely interior and staff. Thank you Sarah and Christian and team!

We ordered the takeaway Sunday roast for Fathers Day and it was AMAZING! Lovely flavours across the board (we had all the meat choices and the vegetation option). Really impressed with the set-up and the food. I recommend 100%

Good atmosphere and decent food.

This is a great venue recently upgraded, with a lovely log burner that sends a beautiful aroma throughout the bar. The staff are atentive and food is great.
Plenty of space to park and located in the middle of a beautiful village.

Myself and family were welcomed and shown to our table on arrival no waiting, great service staff were friendly and efficient lovely meal, would definitely recommend it thank you for making my birthday celebrations so enjoyable R J B.

I had my 40th birthday party here this weekend. Great venue, great service and great staff who couldn’t do enough to help us. We’re lucky to have this place as our local. Thank you to Sarah, Christian and all for making it so fab xxx.

Absolutely fabulous. Our first outing with our puppy at a pub. Made to feel extremely welcome. Tinx was on top form other patrons loved her. Manager was great remembered me from our phone conversation 2 days earlier. Room was compact but it was all we needed for an overnight stay. Very friendly, warm and inviting.

Loved our dinner and stay at The Dukes — the rooms were lovely and clean, food was great and the staff couldn’t have done more to help! lovely local pub and family atmosphere — will definitely be back and recommend it!

Room is filthy, hairs on pillows cracked sink, dirty floors, unfriendly place with punters being very loud, swearing none stop and staff not saying a word. Arrived at 8.15pm to be told food stops at 8.45pm and bar closes at 10pm. I never complain but this place should not be recommended to stay if you work away and want a clean comfortable place to stay.

We had our wedding reception here on the 19/7/19 all staff was very helpful from start to finish from helping set up to take down after we had all left. Food and drinks all served with no problems. Very impressed with being able to cater for all dietary needs. Couldn't have asked for a better reception.

No bad but if you want football then they claim not to have BBC or itv. Bar closed at back of ten but however they make a cracking sex on the beach.

The most wonderful, excellent staff, I had my wedding reception here and I can't thank them all enough. They made everything extra special and perfect. Recently attended a wake here so had privately hired most of the bar. Staff very friendly and very accommodating. Never been before but will happily pop in for a pint if passing again.

Went there for Sunday Roast. The waiter service was extremely poor particularly his level of English proficiency. I asked for cranberry sauce and he brought me gravy! Also when he brought me the gravy he did not acknowledge me, he rudely gave me the gravy then wandered off.

Small local friendly pub with good food and some accomodation. Live music and open Mic night on Fridays.

Was well happy today with the Dukes after I thought I would take my little Darcy out for some lunch being in the village a quick 5 minute walk away.
The food was spot on very nice, the service was great the staff made sure Darcy didn’t have to wait too long for her food as she’s only 2 years old and all parents know how impatient youngsters can get at times
So would like to say thanks to the Dukes for a pleasant visit see you again.

Very impressed with this pub. Fantastic food at a fair price all set in an astonishing building. The staff are great and it serves a wide range of quality drinks. Great veggie and vegan options too.

Nice local pub, with Leighton Buzzard Brewery beers on tap. Good food as well.

Been a few times for a drink and once for breakfast which were always good but dinning in the restaurant was brilliant. Amazing food and service. The restaurant was full and we had as much attention to detail as if we were the only table in there. Will recommend to everyone looking for a bit of a treat.

A lovely restaurant — a great place to meet with a group of friends & family, or for a romantic meal for two. There's always a wide choice on the menu & the food is delicious. On each visit I've found the staff to be friendly, helpful & attentive without being too intrusive whilst you're eating!

Was there for their regular car show. Nice and friendly event, their food was rather overpriced for what it was and I couldn't make sense of the butter patty being the same size as the roll? Bit bizarre.

Went there for breakfast with the family. Friendly atmosphere, very helpful and friendly staff, great food, well worth the visit, and will return again in the near future.

We had a fantastic meal and there was a deal on for 3 courses and a bottle of wine. They also have local ales in the pub. I had scallops to start which were perfectly cooked. Also impressed by the pudding selection! The service was friendly and efficient. There was a miscommunication which meant we waited a while though but they fixed this.

Lovely pub just a few minutes from where we live. Greeted by friendly staff. We hadn't booked (will do for next time) but as we went early Friday evening (6.30pm) were luckily able to get a table. Two other tables were occupied, around 7 or 8 were still free but were reserved and all set up awaiting their diners. The restaurant area has a chilled and comfortable atmosphere, and reminded me of being on holiday. I liked the swing / blues music playing in the background. Now onto the food — it was faultless. We shared the scallops with black pudding for a starter, cooked to perfection! My husband had the steak and ale pie (made with ingredients from local businesses — Stratton butchers and Leighton Buzzard Brewery) — it was packed full of meat and you could really taste the ale too. He swapped mash for über chunky chips which had a crisp outside and fluffy inside — just right! I went for the prawn and salmon linguine topped with crunchy broccoli stems, the flavours of the fish, dill and cream had me savouring each mouthful. I ordered a mixed side salad which was also lovely, with watercress, baby leaf and red onion with balsamic dressing. All of it utterly delicious! We had desserts of sticky toffee pudding (hubby) and warm chocolate brownie (me) both served with vanilla ice cream. The STP was soft and fluffy, perfect — the WCB had a crunch to the outside and a soft middle.

Lovely pub and restaurant, with a laid back, friendly style. The bar is warm and inviting… loved the real wood fire, with plenty of cosy corners for catching up with friends. The food is fantastic, I had the one of the best steaks and definitely the best peppercorn sauce I've ever had. Great service too. Totally recommend The Dukes.
