Wonderful dog friendly hotel in a secluded part of West Wales, with fine dining and the added bonus of being able to charge your electric car for free that gives you an EV smile!

Just been for a meal, absolutely perfect. The food was marvellous. I have not enjoyed a meal like that ever. The service was so good and staff really lovely. Beautiful hotel and surroundings. I will be back quite soon.

Went to Hammet House for an evening meal. Was greeted by one of the owners who was very friendly and accommodating. The food was absolutely delicious and I will definitely be going again. Only thing I wasn't a fan of was the chairs, not enough to knock a star off though, the host, staff and food made this a five star experience!

Nice place and room, breakfast was average but included in the price, I wouldn’t of been happy to spend approx. £13 for it. The manager/owner was mildly obnoxious when he referred to my bill as ‘modest’, which was his patronising way of saying he would of liked me to spend more.

Amazing food with a knowledgable host. Well worth a visit. Not what you’d expect to find in the country!

My neice was married here a good few years ago we found the whole experience quite delightful, the staff were very pleasant and helpful. (It was also my first job when I left school when it was Castle Malgwyn hotel).

Gorgeous hotel with a unique interior. Food is fabulous, staff are great and the owners wonderful. If you want a place to get away from it all and just relax, look no further. Very dog friendly.

Bad hygiene rating, room not ready electrians every where couldn't turn sound up on TV.

Beautiful Georgian Manor house hidden in Llenchryd just outside Cardigan (Aberteifi), complete with the swooping drive, bubbling brook, converted stables and open woodburning fireplace. Love that they have managed to blend so many of the original features with a modern yet classic look. Comfy Chesterfields dot the bar area while the converted ballroom (with its original ceiling) now houses the restaurant. The wide tiered staircase has been kept and leads you to a cathedral window and past the owners multitude of original oil paintings to the rooms on the first and second floors. The first night we had a bit of a problem with the heating not working but the friendly staff kindly moved us to another room (The treachery of old houses) with a towering window, vaulted ceiling and lush king size bed. Each room is uniquely decorated to blend the antique and the modern; has an ensuite and are stocked with fresh tea (Teapigs) freshly ground coffee (and cafetiere), wall mounted flat screen and sound, hairdryer, spare blankets, toiletries, fluffy wash-/hand towels, bath sheets and bathrobes. Wi-Fi is free although a bit tricky and signal doesn't exist so don't take any work. However look out for the little touches, enjoy the sweeping lawns and marvel at the art dotted about every hallway and room and don't overlook the friendly and helpful staff. Special thanks to Hadith (Hedydd? hope that's spelled correct? ) for all your help during our stay. You made it a pleasurable experience.

Stunning location in the heart of rural Wales. Good and Interesting food. Staff very welcoming and efficient. Reasonably comfortable rooms which are apparently being redeveloped as part of recent change in ownership. Interior styling is 'interesting', not entirely in keeping with the grandeur of the property! The surrounding area is great to visit.

A wonderful hotel in an amazing setting. I was whisked away as a surprise for my birthday by some very thoughtful friends and was not disappointed!
The staff could not have been anymore helpful and friendly. A real credit to the place. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
The decor was a perfect mix of old and modern, the open fire was an added bonus.
The gigantic bed in the double room was sheer heaven

Breakfast was delivered to our door in the morning which was a very welcome sight after a few cocktails the night before!

What a beautiful hidden gem. Stunning traditional country house with beautiful modern artsy interior decor! Travelled all the way from Cardiff for a baby shower/afternoon tea and it was well worth the treck.

Fantastic staff, superlative food make for a perfect anniversary night away at this beautiful hotel it's retained its original features with a modern twist, can't recommend this place enough.

Beautiful venue. We were here for a christening and it was perfect size. Loved the decor and the grounds. Be great for a small wedding also.

Have stayed at hammet house on more than one occasion and it's always a joy. Wonderful setting with Devine food. Will return again and again. The taster menu is highly recommended, pebble, when you try it you'll see what I mean.

We had a truly brilliant stay at the beginning of October this year. The food was on par with top London restaurants — each course (and appetisers) a delight. The wine list was superb. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room we stayed in was lovely. On top of that we were blessed with sunny weather.

Stayed here just before Easter, nice place not a huge fan of the modern interior. Staff really friendly. Breakfast was spot on. Some problems with our hot water. Great area.

I have been to this place twice now, once with a family friend when the food was dreadful and once with my work for a Christmas diner, all I can advise is to wrap up warm and have a good lunch, the vegetables were served cold and under cooked, far too few staff to manage the service. The owner was eccentric and rude, I'm guessing Faulty Towers was based on here, ok for a sit-com but not somewhere I personally wish to eat. Such a shame because with refurbishment and proper management this place would be truly stunning.

I arrived at castell malgwin hotel at 9pm and managed to book the last family room at £140 for myself, my partner and my 2 children. The staff were very friendly and the hotel is full of character, it was nice to see pictures upon the walls of the hotel passing through history and previous owners/occupiers. the grounds were again stunning and well kept. We were very happy with the room, the beds were comfortable and clean, the bathroom was nice with a good shower, thoughtful touches like extra blankets and towels. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was very good, My only negative comment would be that they had sachets of nescafe in the room, I brought coffee from down stairs which was very nice maybe the hotel could supply better quality in the rooms? >! overall my family and I were very satisfied and would stay at casell malgwyn again when we visit wales.
