Just had a really enjoyable tasty roast dinner at the Nelson.
Great value of 2 courses for £10.
I had the Beef which was melt in your mouth tender. Plenty of veg finished off with a delicious gravy.
I followed with a strawberry cheesecake which was divine.
warm atmosphere with friendly welcoming staff.
will definitely be back and will certainly recommend.

Great food at a decent price!

Had a great stay. Table service from Holly was top notch, especially under the difficult circumstances and with a busy table of 6. Food was great and rooms clean and comfortable. Staff bent over backwards to accommodate us after we mistakenly booked a double room instead of a twin. Great place, would 100% recommend.

Very slow service despite using the app. Then one of the starters came out stone cold. It was replaced but not until my partner had finished his food. Main course was at least hot, but vegan burger was very spicy (this wasn't mentioned on menu) and my partner's 'rare' steak was fairly well done. our biggest issue was with the lack of social distancing, the table we were put on was within 2 metres of 2 other occupied tables, no screens and staff don't wear masks or other PPE.

Excellent room's, great staff and the foods amazing.

All ways stay here when we come down. Milford haven is our home but don’t live down here. Visit often friendly staff.

L have just spent a night at the Lord Nelson breakfast was cold the reception staff were rushed of there feet. The girls who waited on the table for breakfast were then the girls at reception. The hotel seemed to have very little staff.

I have had the most amazing time at the lord Nelson the staff have gone above and beyond to make sure my wedding went as smoothly as possible beautiful food amazing staff fantastic music … guys this place is the place to get married I couldn't recommend it enough I would honestly say that I'd give the staff a ten out of ten for there hospitality skills xxx.

Friendly bar staff gave the kids a better than average activity pack, and the look of the pub was good with a small but new play area. Ordered food and requested potatoes instead of chips.
After quite a while the meals arrived with the exception of mine and was told they don’t have any potato so although I really didn’t want chips that’s what I had. My daughters meal was supposed to come with chips… but no chips so had to request them. They did arrive promptly. My meal arrived Cajun chicken chips and salad with coleslaw. The salad was the smallest amount of lettuce ever and that’s it with the tiniest piece of chicken which was so over cooked and dry. The coleslaw was nice…
We ordered desserts mine was delivered with the spoon handle stuck in the chocolate sauce… my sons came wrong… it was only a chocolate ice cream!
My husbands burger wasn’t the best.
Was very disappointed and won’t return.

There were 4 of us who ordered early (around 6.30pm) only to be told that none of the food we wanted was available. We got on with it and asked what was available after 3 attempts having the same answers. Same thing with some of the drinks. Then at breakfast no Continental breakfast as they had no cheese or ham. They either have financial difficulties or they need to sack whoever does their ordering as it is a shambles.
Apart from that the room looking onto the fire escape was clean and tidy and I cannot critiscise the staff at all.
They were helpful and attentive and were obviously embarrassed that they kept having to pacify customers who clearly were not happy. If they sort these problems I would have no issue staying with this chain again.

Ordered 3 different things on menu to be told they never had it, when we found something to eT the garlic bread was so hard it almost broke my tooth! will not be rushing back.

Had booked in for bed and breakfast My room had no remote for the TV and the toilet kept running so I moved room nice harbour view however there was black mould around the bath and a hole in the panel. No steak left for evening meal at 8 pm. Only one member of staff working at 0710 this morning and she couldn’t operate the gas cooker. She was a waitress/receptionist and not a chef. So went to find Greggs for a bacon roll. Avoid this rundown place.

Absolutely disgusted at the treatment my son recieved this evening, he is 17 and booked a table himself to take his girlfriend out for a meal for valentine's day, the staff accepted his booking when he rang and when he arrived this evening he was seated with no issue by the staff yet when he went to order his food more than 20 minutes after arriving he was refused due to his age! this is ridiculous, he wasn't trying to order alcohol just food but wasn't allowed and why didn't anyone tell him when they were seating him that this should be the case? it states it's family friendly but clearly isn't!

Great place great food great staff, great entertainment. Spent many a lovely night at Neston recently. Mixed frill defeated me!

Smiley welcome. Large, clean, sea view room. First evening meal was delicious, I had the tropical chicken thigh salad. The ice cream was to die for. A bit of a mix up, we'd booked DB&B and forgot to ask about what that actually meant and ordered our meal before enquiring which meant we missed out on a starter! Second evening meal was cold, overcooked and I left mine. (It was just a burger too). They offered me another drink but I didn't want one! Perhaps staff could explain the process on check in…

Good and friendly service, clean and spacious room, good sea views. A very pleasant weekends stay, would come again.

Food is nice here. Just the cutrely is always dirty there. And some of the staff room nice all part from 1. He messed up our food order and had a 3 course meal and had the main meal be the starter then the desert got messed up. Been 3 times here. All way have the cutrely all ways dirty there.

A welcoming and friendly hotel who are accomodating. The only reason for not giving a 5 is its showing the inevitable signs of a grand old hotel trying to compete in a world full of corporate owned low cost hotels. Add that Milford is a struggling town. But if your after a clean room and helpful staff go ahead and stay there.

Just stayed for 4 nights. Room nice and clean, with a comfy bed. Breakfast and dinner was good, although staff were busy.

However the air filtration system in the bathroom was very dusty and I couldn't hear the noise of it being on. This I think not working led to a horrible smell in the bathroom and slightly in the room as well. Luckily my family lived nearby who we were visiting and so we had a shower and brushed are teeth there etc as the bathroom was nauseatin…g. It's a real shame as the cleanliness of the room and bathroom was otherwise alright.

Didn't seem anything was done and the system was still dusty and untouched. The first night we also used the restaurant with other family members of which there were 4 adults and three children.
Ordered my daughter's meal with kinder egg and never received it? Part of an Easter offer
My mum had sister in law had leek and potato soup (unsure where the leek was apparently seemed more like mash potato
I had buttermilk chicken burger as part of the 2 course offer and when it came with some sort of hot sauce not stated on this part of the menu as I wouldn't of ordered. I was told I should of read the other page in the menu that also didn't give a chilli symbol either.

Lovely pub come hotel stop off by chance lovely welcome good value meal would definitely call again.

I was welcomed very curtiously by the bar person. Nothing was too much trouble even though, I was purchasing a coffee. The reception was unmanned unless asked for, a real shame. That was my job once upon a time and I remember being proud to b of a y assistance to a customer. However, the ambience was just what I needed. Quiet genteel and welcoming. Thank you.

If you like a brisk or slow walk you will enjoy this lovely coastal walk. From the Lord Nelson to Sands and bays around the coastline are beautiful. The Stack Fort out to sea dates back to the 1850's, believed to be a hotel now, fantastic! Plenty to do and see if you love beach trails.

Absolutely disgusting had a ciabatta today with chicken and lettuce in it with new potatoes and salad garnish, first of all the ciabatta was cut with a dirty knife that had barbecue sauce all on it from my friends cut bbq wrap, new potatoes all had grown little stubs on like they'd been in the kitchen for weeks and the salad garnish was a dirty bit of lettuce no toms, cuc nothing had my money back will def not be eating there again disgusting.

Food was ok but a bit on the cold side but was changed happily. Comfortable surroundings in a traditional setting.

Friendly Hotel with huge rooms, the only drawback was during check in, where we waited more than an hour, the breakfast included, is good and plentiful the pub attached to the hotel lobby offers great food cooked really well, and good beers the prices are In the average English, the staff are kind and hand a note of merit to the guy with a beard, who runs the pub that is really organized, helpful and friendly.

Huge rooms as well as beds. Pub with good food and decent beers. Two notes: 1 There was no hot water for half a day. 2 Eye to the pub menu, there are fixed prices if you choose certain dishes (one, two or three courses). I had chosen a 3 course menu but instead of the fixed price clearly indicated I was charged every single dish, translated 5 pounds more than indicated. A special mention to the guy with the beard serving behind the pub counter, fun and helpful.

Had a few days stay room was lovely very comfortable bar and lounge food fabulous would recommend.

Called in for lunch a few weeks ago with my partner around 1:15pm… when we arrived there was 1 table of about 10 people waiting for their food & another table of 2 waiting to order… we went up to the bar to place our order & get a drink only to be told by the 1 member of staff working that we would have to wait 5 mins as she was busy serving the large table their food… she managed to squeeze in an order with the table for two that were there when we arrived inbetween going back & forth to the kitchen… anyway, 25 minutes later we were still waiting, no order taken, no drinks, nobody behind the bar… more people were coming in by this point… we decided to give another 5 mins waiting… we were pushed for time as it was as we had to make it back for the school run… she finally came to the bar & despite knowing we had been waiting all that time she served someone else! That was the final straw, we walked out & wont be returning… Under staffed & very poor customer service!

A nice looking place in a decent location. Food had some issues (I'd recommend avoiding the fish and chips) and service for a quiet bar was iffy. Issues with the till and questionable competence at using the till let down what up to this point a reasonable experience. I would despite this be tempted to go back if in the area.

Good food and staff, but room was really dirty. Big clumps of black hair on the floor and dirty towels, really bad! I arrived late in the evening and the bed was clean so I just got my head down, but told the staff the next morning. Shame as the cleaning staff here have let the rest of the team down. I hope they act on this. Until then I won't be staying here again.

I Ordered a 8oz rump steak for girlfriend medium well, came cremated for £10.99 and a surf and turf advertising king prawns and 8oz rump ordered rare, which came medium £14.50. The king prawns where the size of shrimps and there where only 5 given that where not nice to eat and didn't want to risk eating them. When I complained they are not king prawns they said others had made the same complaint, then I was told I was wrong that the packet said they're king prawns… Definitely recommend you eat somewhere else as staff have no clue on customer service, no amendments where made even though I basically had the same meal as my girlfriend which I had pointed out, they said they will pass on the complaint. When leaving couldn't help to feel disappointed with the meal and the way I was treated. Unbelievable a nice time out turned into being ripped off it may be pennys but it's principles.

We had a huge room with 2 huge beds. Clean environment. Very large private bathroom. Breakfast included but poor quality. I can give 4 star only x in the room that we were assigned.

Great value for money menu also it's of nightly offers curry night's etc.

Bob the bar man was an absolute pleasure to talk to, what a gentleman very helpful and made me feel comfortable if most bars had a barman like him there would be a lot of happy people leaving xx.

The share fish platter was very disappointing… probably the worst lunchtime meal that we have ever had. We wouldn't recommend what we had at £11.78.

Breakfast was good. Rooms need updating. Beds very uncomfortable. Overpriced.
