Me and my partner stayed here for valentines day, food was amazing and the staff for incredible, Natalie and Lauren made us feel most welcome, great value for price also, we will 100% be staying here again.

Lovely place to stay within easy access to the city, Cathedral and coastal path walks. Comfortable seating areas and rooms clean and well equipped. Would definitely book again. Good value for money.

Just returned from a one night stay at The Grove and can’t wait to go back! We were greeted with a friendly welcome, the food was perfect and enjoyed a delicious bottle of wine (or two). Fantastic service, lovely to see staff who enjoy their job. The room was clean, had lovely smellies as well as tea, coffee and biscuits. The bed was so comfy I didn’t want to get out of it. I’ll be back soon 😊

It’s easy to access; friendly; helpful staff; safe during times of covid restrictions; lots of choice on the menu; excellent food; excellent price; seating indoors and outdoors. We loved our visit there today.

First time dinning out of 2021 really nice food staff were friendly.

We visited yesterday (just drinks because of the weather) & today for food and drinks. Everything was great. Very friendly & helpful staff. Food was lovely. We were made to feel welcome & our dog was spoilt rotten by staff. My Aunty, who is a wheelchair user, was taken care of & comfy at the wheelchair friendly table. All Covid rules were followed. Look forward to coming again soon. Thanks all.

Very poor experience tonight. Used the app as requested to order drinks. First round of drinks took around 15 minutes to arrive, after waiting 30 minutes for the second round of drinks we chased them up twice to be accused of not ordering them (even though the app traced this), staff very nonchalant about the c*ckup. Also wasn’t that pleasant sitting along side a rather large rat by our table running around. Was going to order food but went elsewhere and won’t be going back.

Gorgeous beer garden, dog friendly, lovely staff, prompt service, great food, vegan choices — what's not to like! would highly recommend and will be back again it was a really lovely visit!

We had a lovely birthday meal for 13 with 7 kids. All the food was amazing the service was friendly and accommodating. They went above and beyond. Lovely atmosphere and great place.

Food was good and well presented, the staff were extremely pleasant and helpful.

Okay service, a bit slow when delivering drinks and taking orders. Food was lovely (expect the parts that were slightly cold). Reasonably priced, with drinks and food deals on throughout. Restaurant area in the conservatory was lovely and bright, and warmed up once we closed the doors. Overall, marginally better than a standard pub meal.

Perfect for a stay in St David's and for exploring nearby coast path. A few minutes walk to the Cathedral and shops, cafes etc. We had a comforable room. Very helpful staff, good food at a reasonable price, pleasant conservatory, huge walled garden, right by boat trip booking centre. The free bus leaves from here to the boat quai which is handy as parking down there is very limited. This hotel is also just across from the tourist info. We used local buses from there, also handy as beach parking is a nightmare in peak season.

Lovely setting having Sunday lunch. The roast dinners were delicious. Dessert very tasty. Very friendly staff. I would recommend.

Arrived for a drink with my family to what was an extremely busy pub. Ordered a jug of pimms which we had to wait over 20 minutes for. Waitress serving brought drinks over, which we poured for ourselves and our 17 year old daughter. We were rudely informed by waitress that we couldn't give our daughter any alcohol. Living in England we were unaware that law was different in Wales and did not take too kindly to the way waitress rudely addressed us in the bar area. Will not rush back there!

Excellent location. We popped in for a drink I the evening and were pleased to find the staff were very friendly and helpful. The bar area is nicely decorated and comfortably furnished. We ended up ordering a snack which we found was beautifully cooked and presented. The bar area is also dog friendly. 100 % recommended.

Wasn't convinced. We ate here for dinner. My medium steak came fast but was well done. £3 side dish king prawns were 3 little shrimp… generally small portions for a lot of money. We weren't quite happy…

Worth coming for the ambience outside and inside alone, great staff very helpful, and very comfortable beds. Decor of rooms tasteful with beautiful bare floors which make them a tad cool.

Very friendly bar staff but unfortunately disappointing draught cider as it was off. The alternative Rev James was also poor quality compared to what I have had in my local club The Reverend James Loughor. High prices for poor quality drinks. Although the Cross Hotel wasn't any better, both selling two great Welsh beers but badly kept.

Nice hotel on the edge of St. Davids. Reasonably priced rooms. Restaurant and bar with outside seating. Friendly staff and free parking for patrons. Easy walk into the city, cathedral, etc.

Went once for a meal. The staff seemed very young and inexperienced. Our meals and sides that were all ordered together came at different times. Not worth the very long wait we had for it. Not worth the price.

Stayed here a few times for business reasons. Staff are brilliant, so accommodating, can't do enough for you. Rooms are great, clean and we'll worth the money. Food is great and plenty. Keep it up, hoping to come back on pleasure soon and not business!

Grate two nights here food was excellent and the saff polite and friendly rooms clean and tidy.

Lovely stay last Thursday night. Comfortable room overlooking the garden. Excellent breakfast served by Sally which set us up for the Tour of Pembrokeshire prologue cycle ride. Very helpful and friendly staff.

Loved the place, suite fab, food is great and the staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful.

Very good food and drink, can be expensive and food can take some time to come, even on days when it's empty. Over all we enjoyed it and go as a family now and then for a treat.

Stayed one night and had an excellent evening meal & daytime coffees as well as a nice room, but the breakfast bacon & sausages were over cooked, poor quality and not enjoyed. The toast was great.

Room 8, pleasant and easy ground floor access. Breakfast ok. There was no muesli or bran flakes. The croissants basket remained unfilled and empty. Everything had to be requested and was not readily available. I felt dissapointed.

Not happy with cleanliness of dining room, floor sticky, bar and table sticky. Room disappointing compared to advert. Sorry guys there is a lot of room for improvement.

Food bland and tasteless, not at all what the menu promised. Marketing much better than cooking! We heared from someone that stayed it was akin to Faulty Towers.

Friendly, lovely atmosphere and dog friendly… visited again for a special family gathering food took nearly 2 hrs to arrive as order wasn't placed through to kitchen then one meal came and was wrong and another came and was cold so 2 meals sent back. By the time they came back everyone else had finished and we were left eating alone! Highly priced service not that good — doubt very much any of us will return there to eat.

Great on a sunny day, lovely hidden walled beer garden. The food was also good but the staff were not the best, but to be honest, their comedy serving skills added to the fun.

Enjoyed the food & drinks but was very disappointed as during that afternoon there was an international soccer game involving Wales on television. There were 12 people sitting in the TV lounge area all of whom wanted to watch the game but after repeated requests the bar staff refused to allow us to watch the game and preferring to show Midsummer Murders instead. We were all very disappointed with their attitude especially the children who were looking forward to supporting their country. We all got up and left, choosing to view the game in the Bishops. It is highly unlikely that we will go to this establishment in the future!

In a relatively quiet city, we only tried its restaurant. With local beer and nice sunshine, this is a great place to visit. BUT I ordered a sirloin (medium rare), and I got something almost well done… They serve local beef and fish on menu.

Very poor meal. We came to eat here on a first day in St David, it seemed expensive but looked nice and thought we'd treat ourselves. Got a table no problem (we hadn't booked) and order food and drinks. Drinks came quickly but food took a while. When it did eventually come everyone was disappointed with their different meals. My wife's salmon had no vegetables, when she complained we were told that's just how it came (menu said with vegetables). The children's Sausages weren't cooked properly and were full of gristle. My Steak was ok, but not great, and the twice cooked chips looked like they had come from a chip shop and microwaved (I suppose that's twice cooked). Finally when we came to order dessert the waitress said we couldn't have what we wanted. So we order from the waiter instead, who was fine. Before we left I noticed someone who had ordered fish, his plate looked like it was Cod and Chips from the Chip shop warmed up too. Actually the Chip shop in St. Davids is brilliant, so I recommend going there instead of the grove, its much cheaper.

Felt inclined to warn others before going in. A sandwich and a crab salad (dressed crab with rocket, chopped tomato red pepper and cucumber — £16.95! ) took 1hour to arrive.

: — (Dreadful food, took 45 minutes for meal to arrive and moody management when I complained and we were the only ones there! Not helpful at all.

Amazing! The nicest non-themed food I've ever had anywhere. It's especially nice in low season when it's not as busy!
