We had the most amazing day at Gellifawr they couldn’t do enough to help especially with last minute changes due to the queens funeral they helped me sort everything and all the staff are friendly thank you so much ❤️💍

We had the most magical wedding day here two weeks ago. The staff are so friendly and accommodating, the grounds are beautiful and the food was absolutely amazing! It was such a fun filled day and the wedding coordinators, bar staff, caterers were all fantastic and helpful! I would recommend to any couple looking for their dream wedding venue!

The most amazing wedding venue, they have thought of everything. Totally romantic and set in the most beautiful scenery. I would thoroughly recommend them. The food was fantastic, the staff were super helpful and the day a success in every way. Well done Gellifawr. ❤️🎉

Beautiful setting for a wedding but nothing set up ready for guests arrive so guests felt the need to help, room wasnt open when makeup artist arrived staff under trained to deal with situations groom and guests having to deal with things. Several members of the group very ill after, eating no security that by law should have with amount of guests refusing to refunds asking guests to leave dispute having done nothing except question and voice options refusing to serve food already paid for cooked and ready not actually communicating to guests TVs in rooms not working.

Waw, what a day, what a venue, what a night. Having just married at Gellifawr we couldn't go without noting how amazing and I mean amazing our day was. From the initial booking all of the staff were amazing and unbelievably accommodating. We were fortunate enough to have Gellifawr for two days and Bethan was absolutely amazing from start to finish. She was calm, reassuring, organised and always had the biggest smile. Made our day! We lucked out with the weather and held everything outside; ceremony, breakfast and the night! The ceremony was perfect, food was unreal (thanks Simon) and accomodation spot on. Again, Bethan, Rea and her team were there to organise and decorate it all. We partied hard, some too hard but again the staff were there, helpful, polite and extremely hard working, all ensuring we had the best day ever! Thank you for everything, what an absolute dream 💕. We can’t thank Rea and Emily enough. Gellifawr is simply an amazing location. The staff, surroundings and service are all 5*. Rea was fantastic helping us plan our wedding. She literally couldn’t do anymore than what she did for us. We would both highly recommend anyone who wants to get married to visit Gellifawr. Gorgeous location — wasn’t staying came to do makeup 💄 for bride & party. How wonderful it is that you have a separate room for brides etc to have there hair & makeup done on their special occasion! Would highly recommend ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

⭐️ Wow! We had our wedding day here on 2 May 2022. Such a amazing venue. Absolutely beautiful. The staff and venue are out of this world and can honestly say it went beyond everything we dreamed of. Our family and friends stayed the night before and the love filled the place on the two nights. This has to be the best venue for value, food, service, helpful friendly staff, beautiful, awesome, uniqueness… there so many other words to describe the day and our wedding experience but we are still stunned to get our heads around it…. Well what can we say about our absolutely outstanding venue Gellifawr Woodland Retreat? From the moment we viewed and booked, start to finish they were absolutely amazing with us. They went above and beyond to make sure our day was as we wanted, kept in touch the whole way through and reassured us that the day would be perfect when we were stressed to the gills, and it was more than perfect. The food was put of this world I wanted to eat plates and plates of it 😂 A huge shout out goes to Sarah Luke. The moment we met we just totally clicked. I honestly feel I couldn't have gotten through most of it without Sarah and better still Reggie adored you😩❤️ Thank you for being the most beautiful person inside and out. I truly believe you meet people in life and they're meant to be there MR AND MRS VENTRE 👰🏼‍♀️🤵🏻‍♂️💍💖

We had our wedding day here on the 12th February and the venue and staff are next to none! Each and every guest was very impressed with the quality of the food, the condition of the rooms & cottages and the venue in general as of course we're me and my husband. As for the wedding venue itself it's very romantic with the pond and all the greenery around, it has everything that you want your wedding venue to be 🥰. We also had the great luxury of being the first couple to use the new and updated Honeymoon Suite which Emily had completed to a high standard and very beautiful deco 😍. The team at Gellifawr are amazing, if we had any problems, the girls would be there in a flash! They all worked together and made our day just absolutely perfect! Each member made sure that every detail was perfect from the smallest to the biggest with no issues at all. Uonfortunately it was raining, but the girls made sure that all bridal party and myself got in to Seren Y Codi with no issues, Rea even stayed behind me and got soaked to make sure me and my dress got there in one piece and made sure my dress fell perfectly before meeting my husband to be at the end of the aisle whilst Beth was running back and fore from the Salon to Seren Y Codi keeping everyone in order, so thank you so much for that girls! I've had guests ask if we'd change anything about the day but if we could do our wedding day again, we definitely wouldn't change a thing!

We have just celebrated our daughter’s wedding in the beautiful surroundings of Gelli Fawr. Would 100%recommend it from the stunning rural location, the attention to detail and support from the wonderful staff, the cosy on site cottages to the excellent menu on offer. Such a special time celebrating our daughters wedding at Gellifawr. Picturesque, spacious but cosy function and ceremony room, and very welcoming staff. The Bridal party loved preparing for the big day in the Beauty Boutique too! Just perfect!

We recently had our wedding reception at Gellifawr and had the most fantastic day! 😁 The venue is beautiful and was decorated so perfectly when we arrived, food was absolutely amazing and staff were helpful. Throughout the process Rea and Emily have been amazing, answering all our questions and nothing was too much trouble. Wish we could do it all over again! 😆😍 Can’t wait to get the photos back now. My son and daughter in law got married here and it was the most amazing time, the staff were fantastic the rooms spacious. A very magical place would definitely recommend to anyone.

There are so many lovely reviews on here that they speak for themselves — but just to add our voices to others and agree that gellifawr is awesome! Everyone absolutely embraced the madness of our mid year christmas themed wedding, made the place look amazing for us (better than we could ever have hoped for and full on festive everywhere! ), sourced a beautiful arch 24 hours before the wedding (thank you Emily! ) was friendly and super accommodating on the day and we were able to just trust that anything we had forgotten was done because the team just all know exactly what they’re doing and are able to guide you through the day! Most of our guests stayed 2 nights and everyone had lovely things to say about the venue too. Thanks so much guys ❤️🎄🎉

The most amazing wedding venue! I cannot recommend this place enough — absolutely stunning. Every guest commented on how beautiful it is. Emily and the team were fantastic every step of the way. After 2 years of waiting for the big day (no thanks to covid) Emily was always there at the end of an email or phone to answer questions and concerns. They made the whole experience completely stress free. Anything I wanted they made happen. The chefs made the most amazing vegan food and catered to all needs and most certainly exceeded the expectations I had. We would not hesitate booking here again and we cannot wait to come back hopefully for a night away. Thank you so much for making our day the dream we hoped it would be xx.

We were suppose to be getting married in November last year, due to covid we had to move our wedding. Emily was there throughout and was absolutely amazing. Nothing was ever too much for her, always at the other end of a call or of an email. She reassured us, made us feel heard, and understood our worries. Honestly can’t fault the service received and I can’t wait to finally get married at this beautiful place at the end of this year. Emily is a credit to the gellifawr.

After a few covid bumps in the road we finally managed to say our I do’s and we couldn’t recommend Gellifawr as a venue and the amazing staff any more!

Emily has been absolutely fantastic from the beginning, when covid struck and new restrictions were in place, Emily went out of her way to accommodate us for our wedding day, unfortunately new restrictions are now in place which means that we now have to postpone, again Emily has gone out of her way to accommodate our wedding and a very smooth transition for our date next year, gelli fawr we cannot wait to get married there next year and I cannot recommend Emily and her team enough, thank you so much.

The perfect venue, it was the first and last venue myself and my partner saw as we knew it was exactly what we wanted for our wedding. We were due to get married this weekend after planning since 2018, however unfortunately due to Covid our plans had to change. Simon and Emily were very understanding, empathetic and helpful, they were able to offer us an alternative suitable date and kept us up to date with the current Government guidelines. They took the stress out of having to rearrange our wedding which was such a relief as I’m aware some other venues haven’t been so understanding. We are staying positive in the hope that we are able to get married here next year.

When we started planning our wedding we didn't know how we were going to choose a venue and visited a few places, but when we visited Gellifawr we knew instantly that that was where we wanted to get married. It is such a beautiful venue and has such a special feel, set in the most stunning location. It ticked every box for us, especially with the lovely accommodation on site, and we knew it would be a great venue no matter the weather. The team were brilliant the whole way through the planning process and on the day. Emily was such a fantastic coordinator — we felt completely at ease in her hands, and our guests got on so well with the bar staff — so many guests commented on how lovely all the staff at the venue are. And the food is exceptional! Our wedding weekend at Gellifawr was everything we'd hoped for and more. Gellifawr will forever have a special place in our hearts! xx.

Our wedding this year had to be postponed due to COVID-19, but Emily and the team at Gellifawr have been amazing both at supporting us and re-arranging our day. Despite so many unknowns the team acted decisively and were in regular contact with us about our wedding. Emily called us and went through their entire calendar so we could find a future date that worked for our wedding — we even managed to arrange to have our wedding on the exact same weekend next year at no extra cost. We haven't had our wedding yet, but the staff have been amazing throughout our journey with Gellifawr so far, and despite the set back we're really excited for our 2021 date. 100% would recommend!

I honestly couldn’t recommend this venue enough, we got married here on the 18-01-2020. From start to finish everything was amazing. The venue it’s self is absolutely stunning, beautiful setting for a wedding, we were so lucky to wake up to a beautiful crisp morning. Everyone mentioned how superb the food was. Staff couldn’t do enough for you. Our wedding planner was Emily and what a job she did. From the first time we met, Emily’s been fab. I was a complete nightmare of a bride as I knew exactly what I wanted and for everything to be prefect but not once did she complain just reassured us that everything would be exactly how we wanted it to be. And it 100% was. We can’t thank you enough for making our day so amazing. Thank you so much guys ❤️

We had our wedding at Gellifawr on Saturday and it was absolutely amazing! We chose Gellifawr because it was cute and cozy and we felt right at home. The staff were extremely welcoming and made us feel like VIP’s from beginning to end! Our wedding coordinator, Emily, was fantastic and the entire team catered to our every need before, during and after the wedding. We had our wedding on the 17th of August and it was absolutely perfect! The staff worked tirelessly all day to ensure we had everything the way we wanted it. They even managed to scramble everything back outside when we had a rain shower an hour before our outdoor ceremony! Honestly couldn't have asked any more of them. They were happy to keep the bar open late the night before as well as on the day. The kitchen staff were also brilliant. Everybody kept telling us how much they enjoyed the food throughout the day and night as well as the complimentary breakfast both mornings. Our wedding coordinator Emily was on hand the whole time and showed true professionalism in the way she organised the day. She ensured every detail was just how we wanted but somehow better! We honestly couldn't praise her, the rest of the staff and the venue any more. The accommodation was amazing, we were able to accomadate all of of our friends and family for the whole weekend with no worries at all. Just perfect! Thanks again, Mr and Mrs Wright!

We had the most amazing wedding at Gellifawr yesterday, the whole team were fantastic. I’d highly recommend this as a beautiful outdoor wedding venue. We were fortunate to be bathed in sun yesterday which really showed the venue off to its best.

My husband and I were married last week in Nevern and our reception was held at gellifawr. It is a beautiful venue and I would highly recommend it to all. The venue is situated in the most peaceful and lovely area of Pembs which was accessible by all our guests coming from not only Cardiff but Exeter, London, the Netherlands and more. Our guests really enjoyed their stay and my husband and I couldn’t have asked for more on our special day. The staff were all very organised and helpful, and Emily the wedding coordinator was fantastic the whole time. The one thing I would use to describe this venue and experience as a whole is that it’s entirely personalised at every stage. You can make gellifawr everything that you want. I can’t recommend the venue enough! Thank you to all for helping make our day so special x.

Attended a wedding there recently, absolutely beautiful setting nestled amongst the hills and trees, we stayed in one of the cottages on site and was not disappointed, very clean, well laid out and very comfortable beds! Staff were all pleasant and very helpful.
My only suggestion is for it to be a little more wheelchair friendly,,, the deep gravel makes it a bit tricky for powered chairs and I had a few near crashes, also the ramp to the outdoor patio area is very steep making it very risky to go both up and down, especially when it starts to rain, it may be worth investing in some kind of grip strips on the ramp due to it being paved just to avoid a catastrophe happening one day, other than that, thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would definitely recommend a stay.

We had our wedding at GelliFawr this weekend! It was the most amazing day, so relaxed and the venue was beautiful. Emily was brilliant throughout the whole planning process and ran the day without any problems, nothing was too much trouble! A big thankyou to all the staff working that day, Kayleigh who ran the evening do and Grace who was so helpful in the build up to the wedding! We can't wait to come back one day!

What a stunning hotel. Nestled in beautiful countryside, an array of individual cottages to stay in as well as the hotel itself. Lovely staff, excellent food, pretty perfect really.

Gellifawr and the staff gave me the best night of my life. I got married here today and I couldn't have asked for more — half my guests have told me they want to live here now! nothing was too much trouble and it was so stress free. Fabulous location. One of our granddaughters got married here a week ago and it was a wonderful day. We stayed in one of the cottages a few mins walk away, and were very pleased with all of the home from home comforts of it and would happily stay there again if we were people who wanted to explore the area. The staff we met were 'on the ball', and pleased to help. The food was also much enjoyed by everyone. In the summer it is a gem of a place, and I suppose in the winter with fires burning in the stove an interesting retreat. Very well done to the whole team, and many thanks — everything was just great. Len and Heather.

Lovely venue! Lovely hotel, staff are really friendly, and the rooms are first class! Really enjoyed my stay, for a friend's wedding, really recommend the rhubarb gin too!,, and the food was first class xx.

I had the opportunity to photograph a wedding here yesterday, and would totally recommend this venue if you're getting married here. Not only is the place stunning, it's complimented by the super friendly staff! It makes such a difference that us wedding suppliers are treated like guests too, keep up the good work ❤️

What a fantastic place for a function. The staff there are very hard working and very helpful. They made the day. The only down side was when food was being served there was not 1 person running the bar. But apart from that I would highly recommend Gellifawr to anybody who asked.

We had our wedding ceremony and reciption at Gellifawr on 26th May. The venue was amazing and just what were looking for. Rachel was very accommodating when we spoke to her and would get back to us quickly if we had any concerns. We could not thank the other staff enough. We would like to also thank Julie, she was soo lovely she would come to the bridal cottage in the morning to make sure we were ok and kept timings throughout the day, eveb when we went over on timings she would be there with ideas to get things back on track. She helped me with my dress as I couldn't get it to set right after going to the toilet. There were so many amazing touches that made the day amazing. Everyone commented on how it was a relaxing atmosphere. I would highly recommend the venue! The location is beautiful and will definatly not disappoint. Fantastic wedding venue! Secluded in woodland it was a peaceful and private. Great food and cottages were perfect to return to following a few beers. Special mention to the boys behind the bar, Charlie is a top man! Diolch yn fawr.

The Gellifawr Hotel, is a hidden Gem in the Gwuan Valley Pembrokeshire, it's in a beautiful setting, the staff, food rooms are very clean and cosy, I've recently stayed in one of the cottages, that was also lovely, for me it's like home from home, nothing is too much for the staff, they're all so helpful. Thankyou all of you for making my stay so special, Mary Williams.

We had our wedding here last Saturday. The venue was perfect so many amazing touches that made the day amazing. Everyone who came said how lovely it was! And I can not thank the staff enough! Nothing was too much trouble and they were so accommodating. I would highly recommend the venue! The food as well was beyond expectation everything was just perfect! Fabulous night. Stayed over after a wonderful party. Food was excellent, staff were friendly and helpful. The room I stayed in was beautiful, complete with a pair of 'swans' made from towels. It was the smallest of touches that made our stay so memorable. Will definitely stay again and recommend to others.

The place and the cottage itself were very clean and comfortable. The food was first class and plentiful. We attended for a wedding otherwise we would not have known about the place. The only downside is that it is somewhat isolated and the road was very narrow.

We attended a family wedding and stayed overnight in one of the cottages. Lovely setting and great to be able to have all in one place. Accommodation was clean but basic. Only one bathroom for 6 of us staying in one cottage, and no milk in the cottage to make a cup of tea. But overall a very pleasant stay.

Nice place. Great locale. Drinks were a little pricey for the middle of nowhere in Wales. The problem we had was a lack of Wi-Fi which what I needed for a job not just convenience. A big enoug to take a star.

Very nice secluded wedding venue. Miles from anywhere bus some torturously narrow roads. But worth it.

Lovely short break. Friendly staff, comfortable room and gorgeous breakfast. Had a really nice evening meal too. The grounds are great for a wander and a sit overlooking the small lake with a glass of wine. Highly recommended.

Set in a location that can only be described as stunning. Rooms are clean and spacious, service is excellent and food is pretty good too.

This was our 2nd visit which was again relaxing and peaceful. Unfortunately on arrival we were provided with the keys to our room in the main hotel, only to find that the room had not been cleaned. This was quickly rectified and we were placed in an alternative room which was lovely. We dined in the restaurant in the evening, however the starters which my friend had Mackerel pate on bread, was dry and the bread slice was not very appetising as was the bread served with the goats cheese. The main dishes were all very good. Breakfast the following day was good however the toast was just presented on a plate and not cut in half — This would of been better presented in a toast rack as it would be normally, and when my wife asked for black pepper was presented with a 2ft pepper mill! Overall a lovely break was had by us all.

Stayed in the Coach House cottage with my family. Lovely welcome from the staff. The cottages were spacious and clean. The grounds where the cottages are based are lovely and it was great to be away from the hustle and bustle that our family are used to. Only a short car journey away from newport pembrokeshire. Will be returning with the family again in April!
