Great, friendly pub. Excellent food.

Called in on our way back from Penrallt Garden Centre. Tasty basket meals and reasonably priced. Friendly staff and relaxed atmosphere. Recommend it to anyone looking for a ‘home from home’ experience!

Wonderful lunch today. Service was second to none. The food was perfect. Plentiful, tasty and reasonable price. Will definitely be returning.

Thank you for a fantastic Gluten free meal. Nothing was too much trouble — staff were friendly and checked what I could and couldn’t have. Being coeliac it’s always a worry when eating out. Absolutely amazing home cooked chips! Can’t wait to come back! Thank you.

Just popped in for a quick sandwich and soft drink. Good range of beer including Doom Bar. What’s not to like. Nice friendly atmosphere.

Had a delicious two course Sunday lunch at The Salutation Inn today with my family. I would definitely recommend this place if you enjoy home cooked roast meals.

We had a very special, large, family birthday celebration here on Sunday and we can not fault the whole experience. We were all looked after so well by the waitresses, bartender, chefs and the Proprietor. Nothing was too much trouble. Can highly recommend. We stayed here over night. Britstops pub. Its was so lovely, everyone was friendly and helpful. Right on the A487. We really enjoyed the quiet, peaceful setting. Their restaurant had a good selection of dishes. We had pie of the day, wow what a portion served with a choice of potatoes and fresh veg. Pub garden tucked away in the back overlooks a small river. Its also near Castell Henllys Iron Age Fort. Will definitely be stopping here again. Had a nice selection of soft drinks which is great too.

We’d booked a buffet for a large group of people on a hen/pub crawl on Saturday. The food we had was of fantastic quality, and range of food and puddings were amazing! The welcome was also very good. We were made very welcome by all of the staff. Beautiful home cooked evening meal and a comfortable room. Awoke rested to a fabulous cooked breakfast. We will definitely visit this lovely inn again.

We were passing and decided to call in for food, the staff were lovely and the food was very nice. It was a nice calm and clean environment and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. After the meal we discovered they had been sold and were closing, so we had to wish them all the best, such a shame as it was a lovely place to eat.

Really nice place food excellent and the people helpful learnt how to pronounce Gwawr, the barmaid Sue was brilliant good banter.

The place is very dated and there was no Wi-Fi. Pretty dirty inside too. Would not come back.

Warm, friendly and one of the best choices of breakfast I've ever had, including many 5-star hotels all over the place. The rooms were comfortable and it suited us perfectly for the short, active break we wanted in SW Wales. When we arrived in mid September the bedroom was a bit chilly! by the time we came back from a short walk, having mentioned it, the room was toasty! great location for the coast and for the magical Preseli Hills.

After vacating a frankly horrible holiday cottage nearby in Newport, we were stuck for somewhere to stay for the rest of our holiday. The Salutation Inn saved our bacon. Rooms, though basic, were fresh and clean. The bed was excellent (I'm an insomniac, but I slept like the dead all week, testament to the unexpectedly comfortable double divan). The breakfasts were fantastic and served in the lovely breakfast room with a nice view down to the river (and we loved the sunflowers too! ). We ate our evening meal at the Salutation every night, and enjoyed all the food. Nothing fancy, but good portions and good value for money. No problems parking, there's plenty of room. Also, the TV worked fine, and the rooms were always spotless when we got back from our days out. Great place, wonderful hosts and we would definitely stay here again if we come back to the gorgeous Pembrokeshire coast. Maeve and Alan Bremner.

My wife and I stopped today at the Salutation Inn to have lunch. We only wanted a light lunch so we ordered the ploughmans lunch each, plus a bowl of chips. The total cost for the food was over £17.00. Well, I couldn't believe the food when it came. It was a piece of cheese, one homemade pickled onion cut in half, half of an apple (with the pips and core still attached) and the bread was so hard my mouth is still sore 12 hours later. It was awful. My wife could have produced the same two meals (but better) at home for less than £3.00. We do not recommend this place, we couldn't get out of the place quickly enough.

Better if the whitebait was fresh and with a light batter rather than having more batter than fish.
