Huge Sunday lunch, great quality and quick service. Good value and excellent staff. Pudding was toffee and very sticky.

Great food and great service.

First time in here since its been taken over, place is so much more welcoming, warm and staff were very polite & friendly, also the food was amazing and a big improvement,. Will most definitely be back, fab work done 100% better.

Had the most amazing Sunday lunch today. Was either pork or beef and I had the pork. Loads of veg and was just enough. Highly recommend! Thanks for a fabulous meal xx.

Our room was the economy and it was massive! Also beautifully decorated, contemporary and very clean with plenty of tea and coffee making facilities. Beautiful spacious toilet room and 2 separate showers. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with good local knowledge which was great for us not being local, they were able to recommend some lovely beaches nearby. We brought our 2 children and the owner Ruby made us feel really welcome and even managed to fit us in last minute for a food reservation. The food was amazing, we had the Sunday roast and it was absolutely gorgeous and so cheap! would 100% stay here again if in the area.

Always liked the county hotel, it was a bit run down, however, going in there on 28/5/21 the new owners have done a marvellous job, friendly staff, nicely decorated clean and fresh!

The refurbishment is beautiful! The food not only looked amazing but tasted fantastic. Very friendly staff and great customer service.

Rude staff — very damp rooms — shower not working — windows locked nailed down you can’t open them — no heating through night.

The service in this place is excellent, myself and my family there was 8 of us broke down getting off the boat at fishguard. The police brought us to this hotel at 12 midnight and lucky for us there was room at the inn. Long story short we had to spend most of the next day there after check out and we couldn't of been made more welcome. Great staff, didnt have food but looked very nice.

Just came back from having a lovely Sunday lunch, meal was very tasty and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

An absolutely fantastic, all rounder… rooms are comfortable and serviced daily. All meals are cooked to order and are excellent in value for money and quality and taste. The staff are very approachable and will help you as much as they can. A very friendly atmosphere in the bar with the staff always willing to join the banter… Highly recommended…

Steak night on a Tuesday, quality local meat and cooked to perfection.

What a dive this has to be among my top 10 places I have ever been where it was a complete joke ordered waited 25 mins for starters in the mean time be told that there was no chips what place doesn't have chips it's a potato to get our starters and guess what it's burnt and fishcake burnt chef needs sacking not leaving this one ruined my anniversary.

Stayed at this lovely hotel for three nights. Was greeted at the front of desk by a very helpful young lady. Clean room with ample space. Fantastic breakfast. Will certainly stay here again.

Lovely Sunday Carvery. Go there most Sundays. Choice of 3 different meats every week. Fresh vegetables and a nice selection of Starters and Desserts.

Do not eat here! Unless you enjoy microwaved food that scolds the top of your mouth. No flavour, measly portion of lamb shank and mash that's hotter than the sun. Clearly not very fresh. Seamed as though there weren't enough staff on hand or that they just didn't like to be available to customers for checking in or serving breakfast. Gets 1 star for the nice Welsh ale.

What a joy Kayleigh was when she greeted us on our arrival. Room was lovely and even though we arrived late from the ferry we were greeted warmly and served a couple of drinks at the bar. It was lovely to arrive and be made so welcome. Thanks Kayleigh!

The hotel isn't claiming to be a premium hotel, the most they would receive from me is 3 stars. It offers value for money but lost one of its 3 stars because the room wasn't clean and was in desperate need of some TLC. The bed was really uncomfortable and the mattress was definitely past it's best. A lick of paint and a deep clean would make a massive difference to the feel of the rooms. On check in (pre-paid) the guy on reception wasn't unpleasant but managed to say less than 10 words to me. The breakfast which is included in the room rate was fantastic. I stay in a lot of hotels and this was genuinely better than breakfasts I've eaten in much more expensive hotels. Breakfast was cooked to order so was hot and the ingredients were good quality and tasted fresh. Overall — budget hotel that is starting to fray around the edges.

Nice traditional style hotel and bar. Located on the corner of the main road through town and the high street.

Although only rated as a 2 star I found it ideal. Staff very friendly, food very nice, accommodation adequate and has parking facilities.

The bar is decidedly down market but full of characters.

I very much agree with Jeanette below. Staff friendly and rooms tidy and two out of three beds comfortable. But rather than big money spent on it, small things like cleaning the windows, replacing knackered mattress, etc would help massively. The staff did work hard and diligently and unblocked a shower immediately, but these things should be reported by cleaning staff, not by customer mid shower. The breakfast was good, and the price reflected the budget level, but it could be a whole lot more inviting. Would I return; depends what else I could find.

We have just spent 2 nights here and have enjoyed our stay, room was more than what we expected and value for money, staff were excellent and couldn't do enough for us my husband thought it was like faulty towers quirky and oldly worldly and we will definitely be coming back next time we come to visit family and would recommend it to anyone xx.

Good value for money. Lovely old hotel with wooden floors and sash windows. Well situated. Good breakfast, clean linen. The room smelled strongly of bleach, staff were a bit scruffy and the overall feel of the place is a tad tired. But given the price there is nothing to complain about.

I really didn't want to even give one star but had to in order to write review rooms dirty carpet disgusting staff looked dirty and unkempt. Good breakfast but again waitresses looked unkempt room where we ate very dull and looked grubby.

Good hotel, clean and nice. Good food available downstairs and close to town centre.

Superb pub with friendly staff and a good selection of drinks and great food. I highly recommend the carvery but booking is advised though you may get lucky on the day.

On arrival I was checked in by a very helpful, uniformed Manager (I asume! ) and the process was smooth, efficient and professional. The room itself was spacious, and furnished withn good solid wood furniture, entirely in keeping with this traditional Hotel. The bed was very comfortable, and the linen crisp, clean and inviting. The en-suite shower room was perhaps a little too compact… Breakfast consisted of quality ingredients, freshly cooked to order and served by a smiling, friendly waitress — 10/10 for breakfast. Yes, the Hotel is a little tired in places, and would benefit from having a bit of money spent on it (wouldn't we all! ) but the team here are doing the very best posible with what they have, and deserve to succeed. I would certainly stay here again should the need arise. Good luck for the future. Jeannette Reeves.

Hotel it's self is OK room clean and serviced well every day Breakfast is fine if you give the cheap sausages a miss Dinner is a no go area my wife and I tried 4 different dishes over 2 evenings 3rd evening we decided to eat before our return which is sad because we like to finish our day with a meal and a drink in the hotel before we retire for the night Staff are all fine and attentive
Would we return. Probably not due to the evening food not being up to a decent standard.
