Afon Duad Inn and Dolau Cottage

Very pleasant stay on business. On arrival I was met by the proprietor and efficiently booked into a lovely room.
Decided to eat in rear beer garden and had a wonderfully prepared pork and chorizo burger.
Comfortable, clean bedroom. Good shower and bathroom facilities.
Tea and coffee making facilities and decent size TV. Breakfast 'on the go' prepared as only downfall was late breakfast service. (8am)

Fantastic stay last night, warm welcome lovely comfortable rooms and the warmest of welcomes. Delicious evening meal in the garden with some lovely wine. Great breakfast also served in the garden today. All local meat of great quality. we are back in the area in 2 day's time and have booked to stay here agsin cannot recommend enough!

Just simply a lovely traditional village inn atmosphere. Real fire in the lounge. Very friendly host and hostess. Highly recommend.

We stayed 3 nights last weekend, Sean and Sandra were the loveliest of hosts, we stayed in the cottage attached to the pub, so I really don't know what the rooms were like from a personal point of view but a guest did say their beds were comfy and the shower was brilliant. The cottage was well furnished and equipped, we got asked each day what we would like by way of cooked breakfast, it always came hot… we had 2 evening meals cooked by Sandra, excellent quality and again beautifully hot… then Sean got his " magic tricks" out… Lots of laughs and great fun, couldn't fault anything, keep up the good work.

Stayed here for 2 nights with our 2 dogs, made very welcome, nothing was too much trouble.
Rooms clean & comfy.
Food was excellent
Landlord & landlady’s are lovely, felt very relaxed & at home.

Great place! friendly people. Only thing is, I was expecting to have a full English breakfast which wasnt available. Only eggs and toast were served.

What a wonderfully stay at the afon duad Inn brilliant meal very nice ale and above all a fantastic welcome fromy. The landlord and his wife thourally recommended.

Stayed at the cottage the staff were very friendly and helpful, the cottage itself is clean and very well presented, they accommodate dogs which is great. The food at the restaurant was very tasty.

Really enjoyed our stay. Room comfortable. Food good. Owners of the pub very friendly and had a good laugh with them. Would stay again.

This is like no other pub. Outstanding hospitality by both who run this lovely country pub. Love returning to this place. The welcome just gets better everytime.

Had the pleasure to stay at the Afon Duad, this is a very welcoming bar, restaurant and B&B. Your hosts Sean and Sandra make you feel very much at home, the food I had was excellent, fresh hot and plentiful. Sean is a font of all knowledge in the drinks dept and if you go you must sample the Penderyhn Single malt lovely smooth Welsh whisky.

Great location and fantastic friendly owners… cannot recommend it enough.

Parents stayed here whilst visiting for a surprise family birthday. We ate here on the evening. A proper pub with good grub and friendly service.

I was there, on my own, for 4 nights on an extremely hot weather with two Alaskan Malamutes… What can I say… Beautiful people, very accessible with excellent skills — Wonderful conversations, superb cuisine (all dishes I've tasted were simply marvelous), and plenty of knowledge; I'm pretty sure you wont find people so friendly and thoughtfull upon you're every needs (my dogs appreciated, as well as I).
The place is extremely pleasant with very cosy interiors and a lovely outside beer garden.
the surrounding places and villages are extremely nice and with plenty to see.
Most definitely will recommend and if new opportunity arise, will repeat!

I stayed with my 3yr old son and could not have been made to feel more welcome. Fantastic customer service. Rooms were immaculate and the bed was very comfy. Highly recommend to anyone considering staying. Breakfast was top notch as well.

We didn't actually stay here, we stayed up the road On part of our activity weekend, but called in one evening to have a few drinks and a game of pool.
