Seascale Hotel & Restaurant Hotel

A wonderful location for a busy island trip. Tranquil, quaint, functional and clean. All staff were exceptional and the breakfast was perfect!

The people were lovely. The food was good it was in tennerfest and we had decided to try as many different places as possible during our stay but we decided to eat at Seascale again on our last night as it was so nice.

Beautiful food, extremely tasty and produced quickly. Complimentary bread was good. Very wide selection. Side dishes are very good value and have large portions. Good range of available sauces e. G. Many types of chilli sauce. 2 points for improvement, which is why it gets 4 stars: — lack of Wi-Fi in restaurant, could add just another AP and extend hotel network — menus were in bad condition, sticky and ripped cases, need new ones. Also inconsistent style. The special menu was very nice, good on recycled paper too.

Brilliant food, Excellent staff who were extremely helpful and accommodating. I would highly recommend this restaurant. Hence the 5 stars.

Tasty food with a huge menu selection — spanning local fish, meat dishes, Portuguese specials and various others to boot. The starter, garlic bread, was good. I got the beef on the Portuguese menu (pictured) and the portion was HUGE, almost too much if anything. The sauce was garlicky and the meat was tender. Just so much. The tuna steak with spicy tomato sauce (also pictured) was just right, highly recommended. The decor is excellent and comfortable. The service was enthusiastic, efficient and attentive — there was just very occasional issues due to a language barrier. Other than that, faultless. The only other issue was that there was a broken light in the toilet. But big bonus — a chocolate with the bill! Overall, it is well worth visiting — especially if you want somewhere in Gorey with a wide selection of tasty, well-priced food. In fact, it undersells itself due to the slightly cheap looking menu photos next to the main entrance (we didn't go for the first two days because of them, as nearby restaurants have a slicker exterior). But it definitely looks much better inside and was definitely a cut above what we were expecting.

We stopped in for lunch, WOW! We had the Portuguese Espetada's 1 x beef & prawns and 1 x chicken. Beautifully tender beef stake medium rare on a large skewers with King prawns, dripping in garlic and herb butter. The same for the chicken. The staff where great to. The views of Gorey Harbour and across the bay are fantastic. One of the best kept secrets in Jersey!

So far probably the best, at least one of the most beautiful Hotels I've ever stayed. I do really recommend the Seascale as it is located just at the harbour and has very lovely room architecture. As well is the staff extremely helpful and friendly.

I love staying at the Seascale. Tony and his team of workers always seem to do everything they can to make my stay there as good as I would possibly hope for from a so called 5* hotel in the "big city". Service is excellent, friendliness is just as excellent and the food there will make your taste buds tingle whilst not making your wallet have a near cardiac arrest! My sincere thanks to you and your team, Tony, and wishing you all the best for the future too.
