The resort is in ideal location which is great. Not too far away from downtown, flea markets and beaches. It observed the safety protocols. The resort is clean. The linens are comfortable. They were quick in responding to our request. Housekeeping is not allowed inside the unit. So far staff has been friendly. Thank you.

Our concierge was very helpful in planning out our days and making sure we got to the right spot at the right time. She even had a map drawn up to highlight the things to do around the island. I would differently recommend staying here. One thing to think about is that getting into the parking areas the turns are pretty tight. You can see where people have tagged the walls trying to make it in.

Spent a week last March. Quiet and large light filled living space with a great lanai and view of the ocean.

These people are so helpful and give so many good ideas on how to see all the highlights of the area. Better than any other resort I've been to. Great time tonight with a traditional hula with explanation of the Hawaiian way of life. Traditional Hawaiian food served as well.

My daughter, Hubby and I stayed in your beautiful, beautiful timeshare suite for one week. I can truly say we enjoyed our stay here. I loved the fact that we had a full kitchen, 2 bedrooms and bathrooms. It was beautifully furnished and super clean. I mean… super clean!. The people at the front desk were extremely friendly and helped us without complaints. Thank you for being our home away from home. Yes, I highly recommend this place!

We had a fine 1 week stay here. The room was nice, although a bit dated. There were some bugs but that is pretty normal for Hawaii so it didn’t bother us. The bed was fairly comfortable. It was nice to have a full, well-stocked kitchen! We saved money by making breakfast at the condo most mornings. The grounds were beautiful and we enjoyed looking at all the different plants. The ocean view is great but there is no access to the ocean from this condo. The pools were decent but nothing special. Overall, it was a good spot to lay our heads down at the end of long days of exploring and driving all over the island.

We stayed in room 533 and as we got to our door the smell of urin was overwhelming. The looked clean but had a smell of used kitty litter and fish. I called the desk and all they did was send over some poor guy with a squirt bottle of I don’t know what. We ended up going to the local Safeway and buying candles and fabreeze. There was a dead gecko up in the corner of the room, the radio didn’t work and it looked like black mold at the base of the tub. They may not be like this all the time but our experience was very bad. In my view, you spend a lot of money just to get to the islands, why take a risk. Go somewhere else.

We called in an early check in, and requested an ocean view room. I understood that it was a matter of availability, not a matter a of accommodation, but luckily the desk clerk said she would try, and she was able to get us into a room with a great view overlooking the ocean. The rooms are somewhat dated, but still immaculate, the staff is great, and the grounds are beautiful and impeccably kept. A good base to Big Island adventures, you are no more than an hour and a half away from anything and everything you could want to see. This is our second visit here, and I can foresee many more in the future.

The ratings are accurate. The complains… not so sure. The location and price are excellent. The facility has a whole is showing some age but they were painting during my stay. Everything outside is now white from a light tan. Much better update. We had a two bedroom with two adults and two kids 4 & 2 years old. Worked out great. Inside it is mostly updated with some damage or dirt in areas but that’s me being picky. Everything inside was present (linens, kitchen utensils, amenities such as three TVs). The staff was helpful but of course you get a time share invitation. I’d wish they hadn’t asked as we ALREADY HAVE A TIME SHARE. I mean how many people buy two? I won’t. In summary, this place suits those looking for value. You stay here and you get it. Many things are done well here and there is evidence they are trying to improve. Maybe they read these reviews? I don’t know but if they do, invite me back, give me the penthouse and I’ll do more of an in-depth review next time.

Clean, & super functional kitchens! There is awesome views in every unit because of the unique design. The pools are small, but eh, there's beaches within walking distance. AC is great too!

Wyndham Royal Sea Cliff was a home away from home! Had been to Kona before but wanted to try a different resort and this was perfect, what an incredible property! We stayed here in April 2018 for 7 nights in one bedroom at 6th floor and with an ocean view and partial mountains view on the other side. The botanical garden was beautiful. Could not be happier about our stay. Thank you.

Good resort, but there are better ones in Kona. When we arrived, we were upgraded to a two bedroom. Very spacious layout, far more than two people could want. Sadly the living room chairs were abundantly stained, along with the bed comforter and light shade. The bathroom ceiling was also covered in black mold. Aside from these few knocks the staff were very friendly, again the space in the room was a big plus, free parking on property was a welcome change. Two pools are on property, near the black rocks, whi gives a nice view. Room wise, view is dependent on location and you will most likely need to pony up a lot of Wyndham points or money to get it.

Beautiful view to the sea. Foam mattresses, nothing comfortable. It doesn't have a restaurant, the closest thing is 10 minutes by car. There is No cleanliness in the room but they charge "cleaning Fee", the rest of the hotel is always clean.

Stayed here for 8 days. Very clean and updated. There was 6 of us and 2 families in our room. It was very spacious clean and fully equipped. Large balcony with sea views in almost every unit. Great facilities 2 very nice pools hot tub, tennis court. The botanical gardens housed between the building and around the outside were spectacular. We found the staff very pleasant and always ready to help. They have a room where people leave their chairs umbrellas and boogie boards behind and encourage residents to use them. A 5 minute drive into downtown Kona or a 20 minute walk. We would certainly return here.

Amazing service. Everyone is very eager to help out. Rooms are clean and modern. Fully stocked kitchen makes it easy to prepare food. Grounds are gorgeous and well maintained.

Had a great stay here. Private gated parking and plenty of it. Both swimming pools and the hot tub were in excellent condition. Wonderful views and a spot to watch the sunset on the upper decks. The grounds were very well taken care of and full of beautiful plants.

Spent 7 nights here. Very quiet. Great for relaxing. Only reason I didn't give a 5 star rating is because it is a bit old. Not modern. Besides that, it is a great place to stay. I would definitely stay here again.

Royal Sea cliff is located at the perfect place if One wants to do a lot of water sports and near to downtown. We loved the place for its location, spacious rooms and courteous staff. Things which could have been better 1/ Complementary room clean per week. We stayed for more than a week but cleaning was paid even post a week. 2/ Some basic gym would have been great. 3/ Some vents were not working. Staff knew issue already but left state as it is. That’s said, the nice and helpful staff is very awesome. The Expedia local experts there are very helpful and accommodating. Great package in all.

We spent a week here. The rooms are spacious and clean. Not all rooms give you a great view. The 5th level rooms are set way too far from the ocean front and too close to the Alii Drive road. But it was value for money. The staff was helpful and courteous. It's location is such that its just a short drive away from the restaurants up north and beaches down south.

Loved our stay. Beautiful location… clean suites with everything you need to enjoy a comfortable stay. The housekeeping and concierge staff were very helpful. We attended the morning presentation alongwith complimentary breakfast to help us understand all the places we could watch and got to meet with different vendors which helped us plan our trip properly. We didn't attend any cultural activities they had planned due to us being out throughout every day but I have heard they're really good. Would definitely recommend everyone to use the property to stay in Kona.

We have fallen in love! Rooms are excellent and staff is great! Our view was breathtaking! We already spent a bunch of money on wyndam timeshare, and right away hitting you up to upgrade! On vacation let us relax! But a very Happy first time user! Thank you!

Our stay here was beautiful. We stayed here for 2 weeks on our honeymoon. You have everything you need to feel at home! We stayed several days just in our room (we got sun sick) and it was easy to just lay around here. They have 2 pools on site too. A nice quite pool for adults and a family pool. On several nights a week they have entertainment at the family pool. Enjoyable stay would definitely come back again!

Very pretty grounds with great views from our deck and Master bedroom, very clean and nice furnishings. Very good bed. Kitchen very well equipped. Close to downtown Kona, snorkeling beaches and all kinds of restaurants.

I loved our stay. The staff are exceptionally nice. Our condo was spacious and lovely. Great view of the ocean and the mountains. I have to really give Jenny and her manager huge kudos for having a wheelchair for me to get around in. I unfortunately broke my foot on the fourth day of our ten day trip. Had it not been for that wheelchair my stay would not have gone as well. The concierge booked my helicopter ride and rental car to Hilo. It had to be cx due to accident but booking it took a lot of weight off of me. The housekeepers, grounds guys and maintenance were all kind and efficient. Thank you to the staff for all your hard work.

It is the greatest! Close to town and great views. The rooms are large. I'm in wheelchair and there is plenty of space. The staff is attentive and very helpful. I recommend the Royal Sea Cliff to anyone looking to stay in Kona.

Very large and clean accommodation, equipped with kitchen/living room/living room, double bedroom, 1 bathroom, washer/dryer, veranda with table and chairs. The hotel has a double pool on the ocean, with a jacuzzi. Breakfast not included in the service. Friendly staff who stay active in reception until the last check in of the day. Parking included, with lift that serves the different floors of the structure. Very relaxing and well maintained environment a 5 minute drive from the center of the town of Kona.

My overall stay was good at the Royal Sea Cliff. The air conditioner was adequate and the staff is very friendly and accommodating to their guests. I truly enjoy how they connect their guests to do many companies in Kona and help them get better deals to adventure and explore the island. Overall, my stay has been good and I would recommend it to others.

Very nice apartments. Cleaning fee far too high. Therefore only 4 stars, otherwise there would have been 5.

Finally getting around to reviewing. We stayed there last year through a Costco travel arrangement, and lucked out on the room. Because many of the rooms are individually owned, there's some that are nicer and more updated than others. Gorgeous view, large accommodations. Weird experience one night where I was in bed and it started shaking for about a minute. It didn't wake up my husband, but I was pretty freaked out. I checked for earthquakes in the area, but there hadn't been any. In the end, it just added to the "island experience".

Perfect clean, beautiful, spacious suite for a family vacation. Everything we needed was right there — blender, hair dryer, iron, beach towels. Didn't hear any noise. Staff was very kind and engaging. The plants throughout the terraced open air courtyard are gorgeous. If you have teenagers (we do), this location is great — there isn't a playground or easy beach access so I imagine with toddlers, perhaps not ideal. Nice pool. We highly recommend.

We had a great time at the Resort. The rooms were large and beds comfortable. Kitchen was a good size and had everything we needed. We had a balcony with a great view. I liked the fact that they have a family pool and adult pool. The pools are right at the edge of the ocean so the views from the pools were nice. They had a nice reception midweek with a Hawaiian singer and snacks at sunset — very nice. … The staff was really friendly and helpful whenever we needed anything. Check in and out was easy. The resort is near town and on the ocean. We would recommend it to families, friends or couples traveling together.

Loved our stay here. Only problem was the maid service knocking loudly on my door over and over when I was told there would not be maid service… anyway, the view was great, the room was clean and current, the beds were comfy. Our room had ac, which kept turning off, but other than that irritation was very nice.

We were here 8 yrs ago. Rooms seem to be in need of up keep some. Not unpleasant but need attention.

Condo/hotel with ocean views from balconies on seemingly every unit. There are two pools, one with spa. The south pool is right by the shore, but there is no beach access with the rocky shore.

Friendly staff and well maintained. Loved the contemporary design of the building with nice lanai sitting areas on the upper level to view sunsets and our room had been recently updated. Didn't have the best ocean view from our spot but overall the grounds and pool areas were well maintained. No pressure for activities and tours but they were well presented. Would definitely come back. Mahalo!

Very nice place to stay! We are Wyndham owners and are pleased to be able to recommend this property to other owners. Been told all the Wyndham units here have been updated. Our updated unit is great! A home away from home.

My husband and I have just returned from a wonderful 12 days at this resort. The staff members were all friendly, helpful, and observant, and went out of their way to make us feel welcome, included. Our accommodation was attractive and clean and the gardens lush and attractive. I did miss the adult pool when it closed to be refurbished, but understand that keeping facilities current is important. We were very close to the town with its restaurants and shops in one direction, and to a lovely sandy beach in the other. Enjoyed perfect weather too, even in Hilo. Hoping to return some day soon. Great stay but no store here.

First night bath tub wouldn't drain. Room smells bad.

We have stayed here for several years but the quality is faultering. Rooms smell of mildew. Fan on forced air is too loud to use. Cables missing from tv. Facilities personnel are no help at all. Great location but you have to be willing to settle.

Great Staff, was very helpful. There is a bar that is right on the ocean. My girlfriend and I went there every night and had some drinks. She made friends with some of the wait staff and bartender and I believe she still keeps in touch with them. It was a slow season or something because there were very little to no people in the hotel at that time which was awesome for me. I don't like big crowds. We had a partial ocean view that was nice. The bed was very comfortable (the girlfriend and I did a lot of drinking a few of the nights and never felt a hangover, it was awesome), the room was clean. Overall, its a great place to stay and I will go back there again when im on that island.
