Stayed for almost a week. Had amazing customer service and couldn’t be happier! Crystal S. At the front desk did a great job helping us through some of our hotel confusion and we were so appreciative! The place was very clean! Definitely will stay here again.

Nice place, great service.

If you go there and are Quarantining make sure you tell them. They will bring you bagged breakfast but you have to call them every morning. They will wash your clothes off site. Bring quarters for them. Order food from Doordash. You can also order from instant cart for safeway too.

Just got back from spending 6 days there. Staff is awesome, friendly. Daily breakfast was great. Definitely would stay here again.

Love this place. The staff is very helpful. Location is great to walk all of downtown Kona. And it's wonderful that breakfast is included in the morning.

Everything was perfect here from when we first arrive to the end. ONE MIN walk to the waterfront restaurant walk and sunset ocean views. ROOM is so big for both of us nd everything clean and fee breakfast in morning is great what a way to start your morning thanks so much Holiday in front desk girl was so nice we didnt have to pay for parking she waived it that was so nice of her. I will for sure come back here again❤❤❤Mahalo for a great stay☺

Not to take out of the shower the shampoo conditioner and body wash my husband is a platinum member and we were here on points and we wondered what the metal shelve in the shower was for we found out our last day in the hotel when the conditioner and shampoo and body wash was replaced inside the shower seems to me you dont value your platinum members if they stay with points.

Great hotel! Modern amenities, very helpful staff. They checked us in early and gave us a late checkout. Provided a crib for our 8 month old free of charge. For breakfast, I wish the eggs were scrambled rather than cooked with cheese added later, but that's just being nit-picky. The room was great: clean, good air conditioner, layed out nicely. Loved the convenience of a second sink outside the bathroom with a microwave and mini fridge. The only other nit-picky thing is that the bathroom door squeaked loudly whenever opened or closed, which was annoying at night.

Spent one night on way to our destination and our room was good, also quiet as we were last room on end of short hall way. Breakfast was included and was very good with wide variety offered! Staff was friendly and polite!

Had a wonderful stay here. Reception was VERY kind and helpful. Rooms were great and had a nice view of the pool. Breakfast was really good and lots to choose from. Hotel in a great location to local food spots and a short walk to the shore, shops and marketplace.

Looks to be recently renovated. Spacious and clean rooms. Pool is comfortable size. There's a hot tub. Breakfast was standard HI Express fare, which is pretty good for free. Location is convenient to main tourist strip and a few small beaches. Lots of good snorkeling. Lots of restaurants to choose from. Employees were friendly and helpful.

I've stayed here twice and both times the front desk staff extremely friendly and helpful. Room has several amenities. Gym was small but doable. Price was really good for what you get.

Everything about this hotel was agreeable. It had a large clean room with an unbelievably comfortable bed. The proximity to downtown was fine tho our scenic view was of the parking lot. The staff were very friendly and the price was pretty good.

A modern, clean and quiet hotel. The room is spacious with a separate sitting area and a small dining table. Nice layout. Nice furniture and very soft towels. Clean bathroom with shelves filled with towels. A very very quiet air conditioning system. Complimentary hot breakfast is good though the kitchen helper is too busy replenishing food and tables weren’t cleaned once guests have left. Small pool and courtyard but who would swim there when a beach is close-by. 2 mins walk to Ali drive and many restaurants/shops. Highly recommended if you don’t want to pay a high resort fee. $10 parking. Front desk Donna was very friendly.

Nice new and clean contemporary hotel. Good location above Ali drive and quieter. Continental breakfast with omlets, bacon and biscuits and gravy. The front desk was great on getting us our preferred room. That Dora is great! They should be concerned that some high end resort will steal here away. She made our visit exceptional.

TLDR: fantastic, would book again! Absolutely amazing. This double bedroom came with a sofa that isn't pictured here. It had one of the most sophisticated room keys I have seen yet (sliding your keys is a thing of the past here! Just touch it against the door pad or the area you wish to access and you are in! ). It had an updated thermostat which you could control how cold or warm you wanted your room, the fan speed, and it told you if your room was activated or not! Pretty cool huh? The beds were fantastic, all of us slept extremely hard and felt refreshed and alert in the mornings. This room came with your own single cup coffee maker, and they also had an assorted breakfast available in the lobby. This place was a short walk from the beach and some local shops which was very nice (the walk was maybe less than five minutes). All in all would definitely come back!

The room was nice and clean. The hallway smelled… wet. The breakfast was regular hotel food. The location is close to the water but felt like a shady part of town. The hotel itself felt safe. However, you won't spend much time there if you're vacationing properly so all in all a good place to stay to be right next to local action. Staff was friendly.

Loved this accommodation! Staff were very friendly and helpful especially when we just checked out and left some valuables behind. They retrieved the items on their own initiative to return to us. Room was spacious and clean. Amentities were work in progress with a compact indoor a/c gym and a small outdoor swimming pool. The dining area was a lil short of seating during peak hours but guests were allowed to bring their meals into the rooms. The spread was limited but tasteful and refilled promptly. All in all, highly recommended for any visitors to this beautiful island!

Cozy and very well located in the city.

It was a great place that offered free breakfast that fit our reason for our trip there. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. Location is perfect. Although it’s not oceanfront, it’s close to very good restaurants and a walk away to the beach or oceanfront. Definitely will be staying here our next trip to the Kona side of the Big Island.

The building is quite new. There's a small outdoor pool and hot tub. Also a mini gym on ground floor. The location is nice close to the sea side and small shopping street behind the hotel. Just take a closer look at the bill before check out. I got automatically charged for parking fee even though I don't have a car parked there.

Excellent location, if, like us, you wanted to be in town and walking distance to shops and restaurants. We got there at 11am, check in was at 3pm, but there was a room that was almost ready… Within 15 minutes we were in. Great room, too, larger than is have imagined, with a kitchenette of sorts (small sink, microwave, cupboards and a Keurig coffee maker). Newish place, or recently updated. Recommended.

This is a great place to stay in Kona. Note that this is not a luxury resort with direct beach access. But there is so much to see and explore in big island that you likely do not want to be confined to your hotel. So I am giving it 5 stars for the price-benefit ratio. It has great location, great service, and rooms where clean and spacious and included breakfast was pretty decent. If you are looking for a hotel to spend the night and not the day I sure recommend this one.

In the heart of downtown Kona, this is a can't miss. The staff is friendly and professional. Always offering things to see and do. The accommodations are great. Large, clean rooms with a comfortable bed. There is also breakfast included. Choices of omelets or scrambled eggs, turkey and pork sausages. There is also a healthy egg white veggie omelet which is what I ate most mornings. Everything is in walking distance, restaurants, gift shops and the beach. We truly enjoyed our stay there and would happily return. My only regret is forgetting the names of the staff that was so helpful to my wife and I. You guys were great!

Hotel was clean, updated furnishings (only 3 years old). Cancelled on a roach infested hotel and was incredibly happy to stay here. Nice staff too! Spend a few more dollars and stay here — it saved us from our creepy and gross hotel!

Insufficient parking. Need to be sure to park in proper spaces. Great breakfast, rooms well equipped. Pool small. Hotel is generally in very good condition. Very clean.

Stated here for two nights. The room itself was fine, but wasn't cleaned (or a poor job was done) after first night and the coffee pods to the in-room machine weren't replaced. My main issue was with the parking at the hotel however. I paid the $10/day parking fee at reception and was told to park in the bays either side of the hotel and thought no more of it. I was surprised to find the next day that I had a $35 parking fine for parking in a bay not owned by the hotel (markings in the bays). I can accept some responsibility for me needing to be more observant, but when arriving at a hotel at midnight, knowing the hotel has paid for parking, why would I assume that the bays were anything other than hotel parking? (It was really not obvious at that time of night if you're​not looking for it! ). The staff in reception made no mention of this fact at all and were unapologetic when I complained about this fact. Simply stating on check-in that not all bays are hotel owned would have sufficed.

Great service, has a pool, gym, guest laundry room, and a complimentary breakfast buffet from 7 — 10 am. Friendly staff and a very quiet place to stay. We had early check in and the breakfast was great! The hotel is in walking distance of really good food places and night life. Totally recommend staying here :)

I love this hotel! Newly constructed, and positioned as a business type/economy hotel. The free breakfast, Wi-Fi, microwaves, mini fridge and spacious modern rooms are just great. Lots of work space for the business minded tourist right in each room, I also found it great having an added sofa sleeper in the separate living/dining space! The atmosphere of the hotel is also great, with a small neighborhood hotel feel you don't get the crowds and rushed feeling as the other more well endowed resort properties here in Kona. An overall great weekend spent, at an excellent value!

Great place to stay. In the heart of Kailua-Kona. Walking distance to everything. Pleasantly surprised by the hearty breakfast they serve. Clean and well maintained. I definitely recommend this hotel to anybody. :)

Sub-par compared to other experiences we've had with Holiday Inn Express. The water tastes terrible and the breakfast selection was meager. Unfortunately, the same breakfast selection repeated the second day we were there. We'll look for a different place the next time we're in Kona.

Outside doesn't do justice. Rooms are modern, clean, and very spacious. Very convenient location. Would stay again!

Great location, close to the sea and famous Ali Drive. A very quiet place, neat and the only problem was the tiny cockroaches which were all over the room. Very big and comfortable bed. Breakfast is served on the ground floor, a few selection to choose from on hot food. House coffee was good and so was the orange juice. The breakfast area is open, no walls. Be prepared to see birds flying in and on the tables.

Clean, large room, central location, Wi-Fi etc. Don't judge a book by its cover — outside looks uninspiring but inside rooms are modern and generously appointed. Breakfast included isnt great can't complain really! Would be 5* if didn't have to pay $10 to park overnight.

Comfortable rooms centrally located. BUT breakfast served cold "hot" food, our room wasn't made up until 6p. And after a long day beaching the last thing you want is to come back and get ready for dinner and there's no soap!

I really liked my stay there. The rooms were nice and it was very close to Ali'i Drive. The room had lots of space for me and my family. It had 2 regular beds and one pull out, 2 sinks, a nice sized bathroom, and lots of storage space. The free breakfast was pretty good too. Overall, Id definitely recommend staying there, and I plan on staying there again in the future. It's no resort but it's a nice place to sleep and relax.

Sub par was my overall experience. The staff seemed unprofessional and much like they didn't care. I booked holiday inn expecting a certain standard and they fell below my expectations of mediocrity. They charged me 10$ for parking one night even as a guest which is rediculus considering that there is free parking everywhere in kona and they never told me there was a charge they just slipped a bill under my door. The view from my room overlooked a beutiful garbage can and a strange dirt patch that looked like there was a tomb on it. For the price of rooms here you definetly don't get your moneys worth here. Glad I only stayed one night, I would not recommend to anyone.
