Good location and facility. It is a bit dated. You just walk a few steps to the beach. The beach is usually not crowded. It was built during the time that a condo is allowed to be built on the beach. Later on the building codes will not allowed. The beach is nice to walk and you see a beautiful sunset. I had condo with fans and can get by in summer heat but if you have a condo with air conditions that will be super.

Rented a VRBO 1st floor closest unit to pool and beach rental # 1055835. Excellant location to swim & snorkel is good some fish to see. At night and early morning sea turtles were all over and very easy to see. Note it's against the law to touch or disturb them.

Great place to stay, had a 5th floor apartment with lanai facing directly out to sea over the restaurant and pool. Easy parking, nice and quiet with good facilities. Plenty of turtles to see (early may 2018) but better snorkelling a short drive away. The condo appeared very clean and well maintained. Much entertainment every morning with an assortment of canoes stopping by or departing from the walled off fishing pond.

Nice location on beach, but I wouldn't recommend this place to families. The beach was totally fine, but many of the retired owners who stay there for long periods of time are 'not' friendly towards children! The pool area felt like a library, and if you made any sort of sound you were given dirty looks. Our 2 year old son at one point let out a 1 second cry when his Dad was goofing around with him, and an older gentlemen got up from his chair and screamed at him, followed by sitting down swearing away while talking to his friend about our son. The unit we stayed in also had small black beetles that we found on a daily basis, and it was filthy upon our arrival. We even found a bottle of used lubrication in the nightstand (gross! ), as well as empty pop/soda cans.

The condo was nice and the view was okay. We specifically had a view of the tennis courts and shuffleboard. But to our left off the lanai there was the private beach and pool. If you plan on visiting I recommend trying to book a room with a nice view onlooking the ocean or pool. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Only issue would be the sound of traffic. (Especially at night) but since our room was closed to the road, you have to expect some noise. However the sound of the waves crashing at night really makes up for it. We are staying in a different place this year but it would be worth our while to visit again. Also, it does have a private beach for only residents (visiting or not) of the condo to enjoy. However it isn’t very spacious so we ended going down to kamole beach park most of our trips or down to makena beach. Definitely recommend and would visit again.

Best place to stay. People rent out their own homes so each one is different all have the most amazing views. Felt like home away from home full kitchen to use made the stay cheaper got to keep food and make a few things. Hey I'm still on Vaca I'm not cooking. But if you had a family there it would be the best of everything ;)

OMG Beautiful views sounround every corner. Well you our in Maui. Anyhow it sits right on kalepolepo beach, in Kihei. It has a history. There’s a cool whale museum next door. Check it out. Also a old fishing pound sits in the back. Early morning watch the local fishers cast nets. Snorkeling is cool too. My kids ages 9, 10 and 16 all enjoyed it. We saw turtles, all sorts of local fish big and small. The condo was a nice size. Well kept. It’s a prime spot. I would recommend buying. Diffently look into this place.

Rented a condo for a week. Great location right on the water. Nice calm beach with break-wall from an ancient fishing weir. Old building, but well maintained. Nicely manicured grounds and freshwater pool. Office worker was a bit brusque when I was getting my parking pass.

Monsoon India is amazing and the Owner Hari and staff are even more special. The restaurant is part of the Menehune Shores Resort Complex Located a shell's throw from the ocean. We continually find it the best Indian cuisine with the best view at what we find every year to be the casual, friendly and "ONO" setting that we love year after year.

Great location, nice pool area and beach with break water. The condos are pretty ordinary but have all the necessities. It's a great place for kids and we'll definitely return.

We stayed in in April, 2017. Couldn't have been nicer. All units are legitimately ocean-view, but is top-floor center, so an especially great one bedroom.

It's right on the beach, so all you have to do is walk downstairs. This is perfect for small kids, so you can avoid loading and unloading in car seats. The rooms have a full kitchen and nice patio/balcony. There is also a washer/dryer if needed.

Great 10 day stay. Unit 118 was just right for our party of 4 adults and 2 kids and KH was very helpful with a special request.

Calm, relaxing, amazing views and located right in front of the beach. Couldn't ask for more.

I would rate them 0 stars if I could. When we got to the reserved complex, the unit number didn't exist. We called and was told that we were moved to another place, but that we would be charged the same thing. It was late and we didn't really have time to do anything other than accept what we were assigned. It was very hot and the unit had no AC and we got bed bug bites. I would have just let it go, but then when I got my statement, we were charged $200 more that what we were suppose to be charged. Called Travelocity who we made the reservations though. They contacted Menehune who simply said no refund would be given. Disputed it with my credit card, but the charge was added back to my account with no explanation. The only thing left for me to do is to warn other to avoid this company at all costs.

Third stay here too. Great facility ready to get to and from and lawns like putting greens.

My third stay here. My mother rents for for three months and has stayed here many years. It is home on Maui.

Pool great for familys with small children and sight seeing is the best.

Very nice condo complex for reasonable rates located directly on the beach. Our condo was a two bedroom/two bath oceanfront unit. Although we did not have air conditioning, we did not need it thanks to the constant trade winds. We vacationed in Maui for two weeks in the end of June 2013. This condo was like being at home away from home.

We stayed at Menehune Shores in October of 2009. We shared a 2 BR with another couple who go there every year for a whole month. (Envious! ) It was wonderful! The view was terrific. Everything was clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the pool. Snorkeling in the shallow area in front of the condo gave us a close up view of the beautiful tropical fish. There is so much to do in Maui. We were there for about 8 days but could have stayed another week because we didn't get to see and do everything we wanted to do. Staying in a condo made it affordable and gave us the freedom to cook some of our own meals.
