Me and my boyfriend recently stayed here and we loved our experience! The house and property are beautiful and the woman that handled our reservation was so sweet and nice. Our room was so cute and unique. The entire experience was amazing and we will definitely be back!

We just enjoyed a fabulous New England at Thorndyke’s this evening. Really enjoyed Pappy’s Meat Loaf and the warm, friendly service. Great experience thank you!

Great food and wait staff. People are friendly and cozy atmosphere. The pub is very relaxing and the rooms are beautiful and decorated nicely. Desserts and burger buns are all made in house.

Inn was nice, room was decorated like a grandmothers bedroom (to be expected). Price was fine, breakfast was delicious. Owners were very sweet.
The only thing I will say, skip Thorndikes restaurant on site. I really wanted to like this place. My husband and I were celebrating our wedding anniversary and made a reservation months in advance for a table in front of the fireplace. There was a huge party instead in the spot, which I understand. The food was not good, I ordered the seafood pie with high hopes. The pie was said to be smoked fish and unsmoked fish. I took one bite, and continued to eat the dish thinking it was just different. It was not good, the dish came with fries which were mixed matched and previously frozen.
I would return to the inn, but I would recommend dining elsewhere.

Best sleep I've had in awhile. Staff is great and very attentive. Definitely recommend and would stay again.

Being here is like a dream come true. It’s truly pulled out of a Nicholas Sparks novel! Christina is absolutely amazing! I wish we could always be here. We had a suite with a small living room. The couch pulled out for a bed, our two small boys slept there. Our best was so comfortable, so were the pillows, blankets and towels. The quilt was nice and warm for the chilly October nights! It’s honestly a home away from home kind of place.

Randy and Cheryl are very attentive hosts. Upon arrival Randy gave us a tour of the Inn. It is very clean and well kept. We stayed in room 201, very comfortable bed, lots of hot water. The Inn has has a high end Mitsubishi ductless heating and air conditioning system, the entire building is extremely comfortable inside, I was pleasantly surprised when we walked in. Christina is one heck of a Chef/Cook. Breakfast is to die for, whatever you want, she did great. Yea, I would go back, well worth the experience.

This was our second Thanksgiving that we have dined there. Last year it was wonderful, so we decided to go there again. The whole night was very disappointing, starting when we entered. There was no hostess there. We waited for a good 25 minutes before some one came, another 25minutes after we were seated. I had to ask for napkins and silverware. They were out of some of the selections and the food was lukewarm. The only plus was the dessert. A suggestion would be to hire more help and have some alternative options when you run out of the selections on the menu.

The food, service, and staff are exceptional! The room was clean and quite comfortable. Jay and Chef Christina, and their staff, were very friendly and accommodating. We will be back to stay another time!

Fantastic service, food and rooms. The grounds, inn and whole environment were very welcoming and quaint, and I will absolutely return.

Went there for dinner and had an excellent meal. Our waitress was quite pleasant and attentive. There was Live music by a very talented guitarist. The entire experience was great. Very relaxing. We will definaty be visiting there more often.

The staff is very friendly. The lady in charge of breakfast was willing (or more like insisted) to make food early for me because I was leaving before 7:00 each morning. The owner personally showed me my room and got me oriented.

Very nice place to stay and enjoy the bar and the restaurant. This is a typical country inn with clean rooms.

Waitress and host were amazing. Refilled drinks, were super polite and friendly. Food was, pretty much only for presentation. Tasted bland, boring, or strange. Dessert was also super underwhelming. My review is only this high because the service was awesome. Food, not so much.

We held a family dinner for 21 the night before our son and daughter-in-law's wedding and the food and service were exceptional. Everything we asked for was delivered. The beer and wine selections were great, the menu selections delicious and the staff (Gabe and Beth) were attentive.

Was slow but I guess they are under new leadership and didn't know we were coming.

I do not recommend Monadnock Inn. I was treated terribly by the innkeeper Lorna, and housekeeper Becky. And emotionally manipulated by the Owner Randy Beers! I think these people are shallow and extremely unfriendly… they don't care about me so that said don't give them any of your money if they can take advantage of the poor. I only hope that people wake up. Randy is only in it for the money.

Excellent as always. Had the Brussels and bacon salad with candied walnuts as a meal which was tasty. A bit chilly in the pub.

Celebrating my dad's 92 birthday. The food was absolutely delicious! Great wine list too.

Very attentive and friendly staff. Food was delicious and the atmosphere in the pub was great. We had the place to ourselves mostly, very relaxing weekend. Rooms were very quaint and comfy. We loved it! Sandy was awesome! Only complaint would be that the ‘entertainer ‘ they had Friday 1/19 was quite rude to us and frankly not that good. We would definitely return!

I was there for a company holiday party, so there was a section of the restaurant partitioned off. The food was delicious, the event room had a fireplace and was decorated for Christmas so it was a very pleasant, homey atmosphere, and the service was fantastic (friendly, timely, and at the end of the night when it was time to leave they let us go out the back door of the kitchen so we wouldn't have to walk on as much ice to get to where we had parked behind the building. ) I would definitely eat there again.

Great dinner and service at the pub. We ordered two wines and neither of them are good and he quickly exchanged them for a better wine, the food also was excellent highly recommended. A year later visited again and the food and service is exceptional and friendly.

Lots of historical character, excellent breakfasts and charm. Inn manager/hostess Sandy is incredibly talented and welcoming.

This is a rating for the restaurant. Food was excellent, well prepared and reasonable for the quality. Wine list is small but adequate and pours are generous. Service was excellent. Great atmosphere in the restaurant and bar, which makes wanting to try the inn at a future date.

We've eaten at the Monadnock inn on numerous occasions, it once was a very good restaurant but its gone way downhill recently. We will give it another try next summer, hopefully they will have recovered by then.

Medium rare roast beef slice was grey all over. Mashed potatoes were stone cold. Root veggies crisp — almost raw. Service slow. Mandatory 20% tip. Not allowed to reserve table location. Inadequate toilet facilities when restaurant is busy. Was a favorite in the past.

My husband and I love coming to eat here. We usually sit in the Pub if there's room because we like the atmosphere. The bartender is friendly to us and chats with us sometimes. The food is a little pricey but worth it every time. I don't think we've ever had a bad meal here.

Interesting entrees. Try the crab-shrimp pastry. Beer could be colder but thats now been true for 3 places (maybe a NE thing? ).
