My stay was terrific. The bed was so comfortable I did not want to get out of it. The conference room rental was perfect. The staff had everything getting there and I had no issues.

People next to me screamed and fought for two days. Even after the management spoke to them. No sleep for two days. Not a problem without housekeeping but in the hall beside my room a large bag of really filthy stinking diapers and one by the ice machine stayed there for two days, the entire hallway stunk badly. Manager said she would compensate me but did not. Never have I had a worse experience in a Hampton. The employees were kind and friendly but I guess the housekeepers are too stupid to pick up a stinky bag sitting in the hall. I’m doubtful right now that I will ever stay here again. My room was very dirty found beer screw caps on the floor so it’s obvious the housekeeping needs have some pride in their their job! Pool was closed also but no one told me when I booked the room. I asked if there was an outdoor pool and was told yes.

Front desk staff very accommodating. Room clean, great breakfast. Would stay again. Highly recommend.

There were a couple of issues my husband and I experienced while here. We stopped in to this location since it was the nearest hotel to my husbands job. After checking in, we went into our room which seems very outdated and is in great need of an update. Afterwards we just wanted to relax and watch some television which wasn't working. I immediately called the front desk who came up and fixed it with no problem. About thirty minutes after, my husband used the restroom and about 10 minutes later when I walked in there was water all over the floor, from the toilet overflowing. We were so upset and again called the front desk and the same girl Sharona came up. She came up immediately with a mop and bucket and cleaned up the mess herself. She was very apologetic and offered to move our rooms which we declined because of the hassle of moving. She had to go back and forth from taking care of other guests downstairs and our room. She was very pleasant and made us feel very welcomed and no bother at all, even after we asked for a reimbursement she went and checked with her assistant manager who approved her to do so. Although we were not pleased with the room issues, the service we received was more than exceptional! Sharona Thank You for your kindness!

We just love the the Hampton staff! We had my Grandma’s 100th Birthday party there and they went above and beyond helping us. We had several family members stay there and they let us kind of rule the lobby with are dinners and letting us hang out there. We appreciate the staff! The Wallace, Benjamin, Presser and Davis family!

Love this hotel. Only Hilton option in town but the friendly staff and clean rooms are what wins me over every time I visit. There's a great diner next to the hotel that offers great food at low prices. I've never been disappointed eating here. Both are hidden gems in the middle of nowhere, WV. You'll love the hotel and the diner.

Besides the fact that the address provided on the website takes you nowhere near the actual hotel, once arriving everything turned out great! Sharonah directed us on how to get there and stayed on the line while we made our way there. Check in was smooth and that welcoming smile of hers made my wife and I feel welcomed especially in the emotional state of grief we were in. She assisted us with our luggage with no hesitation, since my wife has an oxygen tank that's too heavy for both of us to carry. She refused any tip we tried to give her which showed how genuine this young lady was in helping us. Our experience at this Hampton Inn was Excellent with great breakfast and friendly staff.

Nice hotel. I was only there for a quick overnight visit for work but it was very convenient and an efficient stay. Clean, neat facilities. Kind, efficient employees.

I stayed here for a week for a business trip and can say that it is not worth the $160/night that they charge. Overall it was an ok hotel. Most of the hotel was very clean, the staff was friendly, and the showers were hot with good pressure. This is why I gave it 3 stars. My complaints come from the ants crawling over the breakfast every day, hard mattresses, and although the rooms are fine they do not warrant the price they are charging. We did notify them each day of the ants and they told us that they just had pest control come out. Either that was a lie or they are the worst exterminators I have ever heard of. Ants are not that much trouble to get rid of for exterminators.

The Management and Entire Staff at This Hotel (my home away from home) Are Exceptional! They are Always Helpful and Professional! Great Property, Weight Room, Pool, and Breakfast! Perfect Location too! I love my extended family at Teays Valley Hampton!

Great location however the mini fridge in the room was quite loud and the pillows were less than stellar.

Location right off the interstate, close to restaurants. Rooms were comfy and clean. I liked the mini convenience store setup in the lobby!

I stay at the Hampton frequently for business. Sharona always takes care of me and makes sure I get the room of my choice whenever possible. My staff has nothing but good things to say about the hotel as well. If you need to stay overnight in the Charleston area, stay away from the city and hit Teays Valley.

Good access to some restaurants, cozy accommodations, but near a busy bar so there may be some extra noise.

Room was cozy, I slept on the pull out couch. Not the most comfortable, but it's a fold out, so that comes with the territory. Bed seemed comfortable enough. Good shower and good breakfast the next morning. Would stay again if I needed to.

Clean, affordable, and has EV charging stations. The staff does a great job as well can't complain.

Good place to stay if you have to be in the area. Typical Hampton Inn quality with a couple of decent bars and restaurants within walking distance.

Horrible smell coming from elevator to the point they went to the store and bought an air freshener for the elevator. 2nd floor has old mattresses stacked at the end of the hallway. Been coming here for work for over 6 years, will be recommending to the company to change locations.

AC/Heating unit outdated and noisy. Unknown brand name nasty coffee creamer left in room is awful! Otherwise love comfort of beds and pillows, always a great rest. Now to wake up to qualify condiments for coffee in room. For rate being charged you can afford it, and just stock from lobby items.

Hamptons rarely disappoint, but we really enjoyed our stay here! We stopped in last minute, mid road trip, due to 2 babies who did not want to be in the car for a minute longer. The front desk was extremely helpful and was able to make a room available that would accommodate us. Did I mention there were cookies in the oven that were later offered to us for free?! That's the home-away-from-home feel a hotel is supposed to have! Walking distance to lots of restaurants and very well kept — not a single complaint.

Recommend Teays-Winfield Hampton. Friendly. Helpful personnel. Rooms clean well appointed. Beds comfy. One issue re: bath room had been used after last guest. Waste basket not emptied. Soap used. Used hand towel on sink. That's only issues since we've strayed here — 5 yrs. Again we heartily recommend Teays-Winfield.

Beware of the room 330. Very noisy because it has the floor air conditioner in the corridor and it's so damn noisy. Couldn't sleep until 2 am.

Room was really nice and clean. Staff were super helpful, we had a issue with the drink machine and they willingly got us drinks from behind their counter. Very nice hotel and would highly recommend staying here if you got a chance.

Easily booked via the Hilton honors app. Staff is very friendly. We are a family of five and took advantage of the complimentary breakfast. Very good selection, everyone found something they like. Room is very clean, climate control easy to adjust for comfort. Overall a very pleasant stay.

The staff was awesome and friendly! But I have to say that I was a little disappointed at the condition of the bathroom in our room. The ceiling above our bathtub looked horrible! Looked like someone started a patch job and never finished. The caulking around the tub was in bad shape. Not sure it was worth the money we spent.

Having stayed at dozens of Hampton Inns all across the U. S. I have seen great to mediocre. The Hampton Inn Teays Valley is one of the lower value stays. Remodeling affects the lobby's cleanliness, but there is absolutely no excuse for not cleaning up! Garbage on the floor (multiple cigarette butts and paper scraps) is not from remodeling — that was all present at an 8:30 pm check-in and STILL present at 8:00 AM. None of the five employees I encountered (three at the desk, one management, one service) seemed the least bit concerned with the lobby presentation. Room was clean enough, which is why I rate this a three and not a two!

The kitchen serves a good premade hot breakfast with pastries, and the rooms are nice and comfortable. The pullout bed did not provide enough support and was too springy, but the other beds in the room were very nice.

Spent a relaxing stay in a room with king size bed, living area, and jetted tub. The room was spotless. I always have a great stay at Hampton Inn.

We like this hotel. We've stayed here several times with our kids. Rooms are nice and the staff is friendly and helpful. The breakfast is typical hotel lobby food — not outstanding but not horrible either. It's a great place to stay if you're traveling through the area.

We just returned from Hurricane, WVA. We stayed at the Hampton Inn and enjoyed it very much. The staff was pleasant and accommodating. Great beds and loads of pillows. My only disappointment was that nine times out of ten, no one was at the front desk. We had to wait until someone showed up. Most times they were "hiding" in the backroom! Would be nice if someone was there at all times or if they had a bell that you could have rung to get their attention. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend this Hampton to anyone. Oh yes, they need to put better signage out front. We rode by it three times before we spotted it.
