Very unclean hotel. Got a non smoking room that smelled of smoke. Breakfast is a joke. Bed was very uncomfortable.

Nice room. Wonderful people. Only reason not 5 stars is the pool and a lite breakfast selection. I would stay there again though.

My dad and I pulled in on our motorcycles around 9pm in the pouring rain. The guy at the front desk told us there were no rooms available anywhere in town and we'd have to go another 30 miles to find one. He was not polite about telling us this either. Fortunately we decided to try the Holiday Inn Express right next door anyhow and they had more than one room still available! My dad and I argued later in the Holiday Inn's hot tub over which one of us would go back over and punch that guy in the face for trying to send us back out on those dangerous roads. Luckily we couldn't decide so we let him go, this time.

First Super 8 I’ve ever stayed in. Impressive really. The manager was super nice & helpful They only had 1 room left upon my arrival The Suite I said sure. It was the same price as what you pay for regular rooms at other hotels Wow, it was large, clean & Comfortable Also quiet. Only a $10 pet fee. I called & stayed 2 nights that’s how impressive the room was! If you are passing through Ripley I recommend the Super 8 ask for upstairs Suite!

Called to make a reservation the lady who answered the phone was not enthusiastic or kind at all. Asked if they had any room availability and in her monotone voice she said no. I replied thank you and she hung up. I honestly could not believe the lack of professionalism. Even if they did have rooms — based on that convo I would have passed.

Amazing service and very clean! We needed a last minute room due to lack of cleanliness at Econo Lodge down the road. We called and spoke to a friendly young man at the front desk. We were quickly accommodated on such a short notice! I recommend this hotel due to it's friendly staff and clean rooms.

The staff was great and relatively nice. One of the better motel 8s I have stayed in.

We stay at this hotel 4 to 6 times a year. It's a good, clean, reasonably-priced place to spend a night. Nothing fancy. Free breakfast is pretty skimpy, but we don't take advantage of it anyway.

Love super 8 motels but the room I got was suppose to be non smoking and smelled if cigarettes. Also was pretty dirty. Checked in late at night so was too tired to switch rooms.

When I come in from Ohio I always stay here. We have been coming down for 10 years and always friendly staff. Very very clean. Smells clean. Not one time has there ever been an issue while I was here.

Super 8 is generally a place we choose to stay at when travelling. I am glad that we stopped at this hotel in Ripley, West Virginia. It is conveniently located off the interstate. The local roads are kept in good condition and the traffic controls were easy to navigate. It was to find the parking lot and once there we had plenty of room to navigate. The front desk clerk was attentive and polite. Check-in was done carefully and courteously. The room was spacious with two large beds and a newly installed television. The views are fantastic! West Virginia at its best. A river runs just behind the hotel and there was an old iron railroad bridge nearby. In the morning the mountains were lit up and the mists were showered in gold streaks. Their breakfast offering wasn’t shoddy and we had something nice to get us going on our way. Checkout was fairly easy and we got on our way in the morning.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at the manager Daniel was very ride an unprofessional he threatened to kick me out atleast 20 times becuz I didn't know my license plate I couldn't believe the way he was acting… he said he was gonna call the cops on me 5 times becuz I said a cuss word. I tried to the bigger man an shake his hand an he wouldn't shake my hand. He was very very rude. If you all can do me a favor an just pick another hotel and not stay there that would be amazing show them that customers desere respect. Like he said nothing will happen let's show them.

Clean, nice rooms. We were very pleased. Breakfast is bare necessities, but room made up for it.

Cheaper hotel, stuck here for 2 days while truck was broke down. Gave discount for problems with room. Nice staff.

Stopped here during a winter storm. Surprisingly the cheapest option around and quite nice inside. Clean and comfortable, perfect for what I needed. Walls are a bit thin and could hear people in the hallway and above us.

Great Place to stop while driving thru as right off the highway and very clean. Nice continental breakfast with a few extras.

Room are clean but shower makes a shrill noise as the water runs through it the tile is crack in front of the tube and the shower floor creaks as u move around in it. The sink drain drains very slowly like it is half way plugged up. Most of the staff is nice. Very small parking lot for large trucks and have had to park on side of the road to park for the night only 3 trucks can get in it.

Made a great stopping point on the way to and the way back from the New River Gorge area (especially when you are too tired after rafting class 5 rapids to drive all the way home! ) It's a great place for a basic nights sleep and light breakfast before getting back on the road! Friendly staff, clean rooms and a quiet building. It was exactly what I wanted!

Very easy place to stay. I have never had an issue, rooms are clean, not the greatest smell when you walk in, but it's an older hotel but the staff really keeps up with it. Single rooms have a king size bed and I had no issues putting a Pack n Play and pet friendly. Continental breakfast and coffee is available in the morning as grab-n-go, if you tables are in the reception area or you can take it to your room. Plenty of other amenities are within walking distance of the hotel. Gas stations, Mexican restaurant, fast-food, grocery store, ect…

Room was clean and freshly painted, staff was very friendly. Breakfast was minimal. Definitely a good room for the price.

The manager (Tim) was super nice and the room was clean. Couldn't really ask for more.

Beds were very comfortable and rooms were adequately furnished and supplied. Nice continental breakfast was included. This consisted of cinnamon rolls, yogurt, cereal, milk, toaster waffles, coffee, juice, etc.

This is one of the nicest Super 8s I've stayed in. It's clean, affordable, convenient and rather updated. The staff is super friendly and accommodating. You can tell they take pride in maintaining the hotel. If I am ever back in Ripley and need a place to stay, this will be my go to.

Ripley has terrible food options but we will always make it our halfway stop on the way to NC thanks to this hotel. The employees are always helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean, the price is right and you are moments from the freeway. They are pet friendly and have a good dog walking area. The breakfast isn't great but there is a McDonalds and Kroger right outside.

Great, friendly customer service from staff. Clean rooms, economical price for basic hotel. Been staying with Ripley super 8 for 20 years when going back home to visit family.

Staff was super friendly and helpful. My non smoking room has definitely been smoked in though. I was able to cope by sleeping with the window open. The one blemish (a big one though) on an otherwise good spot.

Staff is friendly and very courteous. Rooms are a nice size, beds are very comfortable, and everything is very clean. The price is great too. Not much of a breakfsst selection, but for $60 you can't go wrong. Highly recommended.

It's in the middle of nowhere. The room was clean, but there's nothing to do, much less eat, in the immediate area. Fairplain, which is about 15 minutes down the road, has a good restaurant. The Fairplain Yacht Club.

Room was great and clean. No traffic noises or disturbances. Free Wi-Fi, key effortlessly given at checkin. Area and other patrons were a little unnerving, but we locked ourselves in and ordered Domino's. Open carry galore — more power to whoever, but eep.

Great TV and Internet. The bed and pillows were comfortable. Very pleased.

Positive is the price. Non smoking room had burn marks on the tub and smelled like someone just smoked a pack. Couldn't walk in socks, carpet was pulled and exposed tack straps. TV listings in the room were mostly unavailable.

Was much nicer than just expected. My first foray into a Super 8 and I must say they have very nice rooms.

Don't let the name fool you. After a long trip from Savannah, GA to Columbus, OH. We picked up my daughter and turned around and headed back to Savannah. We got to Ripley and were dead tired. We needed a place to rest. We had 3 options, Super 8, Quality Inn and Holiday Inn Express. Since we didn't budget a hotel in our expenses we didn't want to pay $150 for the Holiday Inn so it was between Super 8 and Quality Inn. Read the reviews and decided to choose Super 8. We approached the front desk to purchase a room for the night and the employee was superb. She asked if we had AAA or AARP or any other dicount and gave us a perfect price of $80 for the night. She was very professional and explained to us the best place to park to access our room. She informed us they have a continental breakfast from 6am-10am. We arrived to the room (which was non-smoking. ) The room we had was very clean top to bottom. There was a microwave, small refrigerator and a decent size flat screen TV and pleanty of sitting room. The beds were pretty good, nothing fancy. They had an alarm clock that had 2 110v outlets and 2 USB outlets which were very convenient since we have several electronics that needed to be charged. If you want a clean, comfotable and convenient hotel to spend the night or a few in, I highly recommend Super 8 of Ripley, VW.

This hotel looks nice, but I would not take my family here for safety reasons. I have stayed here several times in the past. On several occasions drunks were fighting in the halls and the police arrived. Another time a drug addict was huffing spray cans and got a police escort. Could be a nice place if they cleaned up the undesirables… Keep Driving & Do Not Stop Here…

DO NOT get a smoking room! These room smell sooooo bad! Like someone chain smoked for a month in there and just left 10 min before you go there! After I got switched to a non smoking room it was ok. Good for the cost. Clean but pillows sucked and when I showered there was a bad hissing sound. If you enjoy a glass of wine, beer, or cocktail BRING YOUR OWN! There is no place on this exit you can get any! Also if you are looking for something better than fast food on this exit forget it. I would stay again. Now that I know you MUST be on the 1st floor (2nd floor is all smoking rooms) Must bring your adult beverage to this exit and eat at a better place before this exit.

Stayed overnight here at the Ripley Super 8. It was a clean, fresh smelling non-smoking room. TV and free internet Wi-Fi and a bed. That was what I was looking for. The price was reasonable, $67.55 total cost including taxes for one queen size bed. Quiet and comfortable. I totally recommend this hotel for anyone just passing through and looking for the basics.

This Super 8 offered a very pleasant front lobby staff and a good, basic, and very clean room at a reasonable rate. If you are just looking for a clean and easy night's sleep with no frills, this is a fine choice for the price.
