Our room in the Pier was beautiful. Very clean and every staff member was amazing. From check in to check out our experience was fabulous. I'm so happy we were told about this place.

One of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. I will definitely be back. The room was gorgeous, super clean and the bed was so comfortable I did not want to leave. Our stay here was priceless. The staff and atmosphere are one of a kind, so friendly and helpful. This place is a hidden Gem!

We spent 3 days and 2 nights here. The room was clean and the staff were very attentive. The grounds are beautiful. The views are breathtaking. It’s close to downtown, there’s so much to do, and the staff were very conscientious about COVID. All in all, we were incredibly impressed and can’t wait to stay next year.

Loved the beach, the pool, kayaking, camp fire, and wharf! Beds were comfortable and views were amazing.

Smuggler's Cove Inn has gorgeous grounds, breathtaking views, very spacious and clean rooms, many extra curricular activities, and exceptionally friendly owner's who go above and beyond to accommodate the stay. The morning breakfast overlooking the ocean is by far one of the best perks.
This is a must stay if you are in Boothbay Maine!

We loved our stay at Smugglers Cove this weekend. Rooms were clean, property was gorgeous, and owners were kind. We have already booked our return trip!

Would not recommend this place to anyone… the owner very rude and sneaky… if you do stay here make sure no one has the room above you that walks heavy… sounds like he is coming through the floor… rooms are small and they smell… good luck.

Beautiful location, friendly staff, lots to do in the area, very family friendly with nice pool and playground area for the kids, nice informal restaurant. We went back for the second time this past summer. Enjoyed it very much.

We have stayed at Smugglers Cove Inn twice now — for a week each time and will continue to visit for many years! Its a wonderful place to stay where we felt more like family then 'customers' Marge and Alan truly care about their guests' experience and you will see them around a lot.
The first year we were looking for a place with a pool for our family (children ages 5 and 6).
The second year, we had such a wonderful stay that returning was an easy decision.
Rooms: We have stayed in both the Anchor and the Pier buildings. Both rooms were clean and air-conditioned with a microwave, coffee maker and fridge. The balcony is wonderful to relax in the morning with a coffee or the afternoon for sundowners. We had gorgeous sunsets every day.
Property:
We love that there are canoes and kayaks to use and have taken the canoe out both years. Lifejackets are provided.
The pool is the biggest draw for us and we spent many hours in the pool. When our youngest wasn't water confident last year, she preferred the swing-set/jungle gym — which is right next to the pool. Everyone was happy doing their own thing while still being in close proximity and parents being able to keep and eye on both. This year we all spent a lot of time in the pool and the kids enjoyed getting out and playing occasionally for a little break.
There are Adirondack chairs on the grass that you can sit on and enjoy the view/ sunset.

We loved this place! Owner was lovely and the view was unmatched. Great food and fantastic kayaks for use. Don’t miss it! Views from our room.

Great place in a quiet location! Rooms have been upgraded and very accommodating! Love the view over the water! Great fishing off the pier! Chef Dan tries to please everyone’s stomach! Love this place and the staff!

Staff was incredibly pleasant though somewhat disorganized. Rooms were very clean and well kept. Pool was wonderful and the restaurant was somewhat simple but the food was very good and they were willing to work with my wife's needs as she has a gluten allergy.

Cozy, with an ocean view. Very clean and accommodating. The owners are such nice people, very welcoming and helpful. We stay here yearly and are happy to see it in the hands of people who are improving and taking care of the property. By far the best place to stay in Boothbay.

We just wanted to spend an evening at a nice place by the sea. Well we found an excellent place at Smugglers Cove in the pier bldg right over the water with a private beach right out the slider overlooking our deck area. The area is beautiful and quiet with a private setting anyone would enjoy. The breakfast was fabulous and the staff so very friendly. Simply a gem. We would recommend this place to everyone and will!

My husband and I recently vacationed at Smugglers Cove for three nights! We loved the spectacular view from our deck and the heated pool! The bed was super comfortable and the room was spotlessly clean! Breakfast is included and the pancakes were delicious! We dined one evening at their restaurat! Dan, the chef cooked us a delicious dinner! The owners Marge and Alan are so kind and accommodating! We definitely will be vacationing at Smuggler's Cove next summer, if not sooner!

We were here for 4 days and stayed in the Pier room. The views are absolutely beautiful and we didnt have much sun on out visit! So unfortunately we did not see that beautiful sunset which I was hoping for. The views are spectacular from any room. The free breakfast was delicious, everything from cereal and toast to pancakes and scrambled eggs with homemade hash browns. Dan the chef was very friendly and always came out to check on everyone and also gave great tips on where to visit. We also had the pleasure of hanging in the lounge on our last night with the owners Alan and Marge, they made us delicious Pina Colada's and gave us the history on the last two years that they have taken over the inn and also more tips on great places to see and visit while we were there. Everywhere we went was basically a 10 min drive and the scenery is just beautiful. The new owners have done a great job with the upgrades of the inn and they are very wonderful people. I wish them the best of luck and can't wait to visit again in the near future. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

We stayed at Smugglers Cove Inn for one night in July. The setting is amazing. The rooms are dated, but clean, and most have a beautiful view of the bay. The staff are all friendly, personable and down-to-earth. We had a brief, but wonderful experience. Take advantage of the kayaks and the natural beauty this setting offers. I would definitely stay at Smugglers Cove Inn again.

We stayed in the Anchor building-the first floor the first night and a second floor room the next two nights. Second floor is best so you can really view the ocean and the higher vaulted ceilings make for a more spacious stay. Comfortable beds. Good breakfast buffet! Clean pool. Kayaks are great! The beach is fun to explore. Location is a bit out of the way of downtown Boothbay-but that meant it was quiet and no traffic. Only complaint is the brightly lit soda machine at the pool that makes star gazing limited at night.

Had a great time here at the smugglers in! Food at the restaurant was amazing-made by Dan great guy! The inn is family owned and they really make you feel like family too. Spoke with the owner Allen plenty of times in my stay had great conversation, Gave my wife and I all the great tips for a good vacation there on Boothbay. Our room was right on the water and was absolutely beautiful can’t beat the sunset. Will be returning again.

We stayed one night and had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. The view from our room balcony was spectacular! Enjoyed the mussels for dinner and breakfast buffet, especially the blueberry pancakes. Yum!
