So peaceful and scenic. Everyone is very friendly and kind. Hotel is clean and beds are super comfortable!

It’s a really neat place, I stayed for a night and it was a Monday so there was a lot less people. They upgraded me to a 4th floor room with a view of the surrounding area and ocean. It had a fireplace and they hook you up with a log at the desk, idk what was happening but the desk was empty for long periods of time and I had to wait a couple times down in the lobby with extensive injuries including a broken back, broken ribs, and a recent surgery. I was there to get some R&R and recover a bit. At first they didn’t have a log and couldnt find one. I came back in an hour and surprise, no one at the desk by there were logs sitting behind the counter and I was tempted to just take one but opted to wait. Eventually the guy came back and gave me a log and then checked his computer to make sure they didnt already give me one so as to not give me a second for free, which was a bit rude considering my room didn’t have any comforters or pillow covers on my bed. I let them know but didn’t request new ones because I slept on the move seat near the fireplace because I cannot lay down with my injuries. I had a small bag of laundry I desperately needed to do but the laundry was off limits because they were remodeling something near by. The good stuff: They actually have a little disc golf course! I’m way too injured to okay but will definitely be back in the future, that’s really cool.

Huge thank you to the amazing staff at Chateau Westport for an amazing trip to the coast. The room was clean and the staff couldn’t have done a better job in making any accommodations needed. We can’t wait for our next trip to this hidden gem along the Washington coast!

We had a wonderful time! The hotel was very nice and clean. The pull out bed that we slept on was awesome by the fire. We would love to stay again. Also the best part it is just a quick walk to the beach.

We just stayed last weekend and it was great. Awesome price for the room. Has almost a full kitchen with pots and pans and dishes. All staff was nice and friendly and it's just a short walk to the ocean. We will definitely be staying again.

We had never stayed here, the photos online looked so lovely! Unfortunately, they are not at all accurate. The staff was friendly, lobby is cute, lovely views of the ocean. The room (deluxe queen room: 2 queen beds with a kitchenette). So obscenely far from what the photos depict. I have photos, will try to post them with this review.

Severely overpriced. Last weekend, the cheapest room was $168 (with taxes). Are you kidding me? This was a bottom floor, dog-friendly (I am allergic to dogs), no view, no A/C, no working hot tub. I stayed in a wonderfully clean room, close to downtown for less than half the price. CW should remember who their loyal customers are with discounts — especially when there were plenty of rooms available. I used to love CW, but not any more!

All of the ladies at the front desk are friendly and welcoming. Diane was able to help with a booking mix-up. All was handled were professionally and kindly. Our stay there was very enjoyable! We will definitely recommend Chateau Westport.

It was our first time. I was looking foward to an air conditioning but hey they had fan!. It was very nice. The customer service very nice housekeeping very friendly and very respectful. Very clean, the rooms very nice and spacious. Everything was open to us like the space of cooking and prepare meals. I wasn't really crazy about the pool though, the chlorine was to strong. But I loved it… yes pricy but I think it was ok for most of the things we were able to use without paying… lol… but other then tht I wouldn't mind going back… Thank Chateau for a wonderful stay… The Nius.

Over priced, stunk. I only booked there for pool and hot tub and they were closed. Was not happy wouldn't recommend it and will not stay there again.

This is a nice. Family hotel. The pool is very nice, the grounds are very family friendly with yard games. Fire pits and picnic tables. They also have frisbee golf. A modest breakfast is offered. The upper floors offer a great ocean view.

The place was clean and quiet. The service was good. The price was more than I have paid for a 5 star hotel. And there were ridiculous fees like a resort fee… Where was the resort? And the continental breakfast was definately 2 star worthy.

I really enjoyed our stay at the Chateau. It was very clean, the staff was very friendly and the free breakfast the following morning was perfect. I was unsure about not having air conditioning in the room at first, but they supply a fan in each room plus we opened our window and got a very nice ocean breeze coming in the room as well. We stayed on 4th of July and were able to see fireworks outside of our window and the area where you could build a fire was really nice. Overall it was a wonderful stay. We will definitely go back.

Clean rooms and beds, great location in Westport. Can walk to the beach. Has fire pits and benches outside on a large grass field with a kids play area, horseshoe pits, volleyball pit, a basketball hoop, and a beautiful landscape. Good breakfast included with stay. The indoor pool is great! Staff is amazing as well. I think it's the best place in Westport.

We had a great time, folks are friendly and very accommodating. We ended up with six lbs of fish and still had three days left in our visit. The hotel staff found space in one of their freezers to keep it for me until it was time to go home! Would have been a pain if I had to find dry ice to keep it frozen long enough! Thanks to the staff for helping me out in this odd situation…

Great beaches, accommodations for pet owners is very nice. Lots of nearby places to visit. Ample restaurants not too far for a bite.

Old resort with old facilities. Upgraded to an ocean view room, which had only a sliver of the ocean visible. The continental breakfast is a joke and they claim they have a coffee stand, but did not say that it is only open on the weekends. The only plus is that the staff are friendly.

It took forever to check in and when I took my shower I realized there was no soap or shampoo. For being an older hotel the rooms are decent. They don't have air conditioning. We booked a charter with a start time of 4 am so sleeping with the windows open was a little noisy. They have free popcorn which was nice but it is a half mile walk to the ocean. Because of the lack of air we probably will not stay here again but I highly suggest bringing some body wash and shampoo.

It's nice place to stay. Right next to the beach. Bought our own kites and had a nice time flying them! Would come again!

Love this place! I stay here from time to time when I need to be in Westport. It's one of those places that is old enough to be cozy and modern enough to be nice. The beds are very comfortable, the staff is extremely friendly, it's easy to get to, has a great view the beach, the grounds are nice to walk around on… it's a great place to stay!

Staff is excellent! We had a great weekend just hanging out with some of our friends near the beach. Rain kind of kept us inside mostly, but the views of the rain and beach were amazing! Very comfortable rooms and a pleasant atmosphere made us feel right at home. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and looking for a place to stay for the weekend or a long vacation.

We chose to stayed here this weekend since there wasn’t a lot of options in town that looks decent and fair prices. If you’re looking for a place close to the beach access (one block from the hotel), kids play ground area, picnic table with fire pit all in the back of the hotel, hot tub and swimming pool (both needs major updates), and their breakfast wasn’t all that great with limited choices. If you want to do clamp digging then they do have the equipment to rent it out to you for $10 per day. The only things I would suggest them was to take out the two lamps above the bed (my head almost hit those lamps too many time trying to get out of bed), the TV were too small and sitting low from the bed can’t hardly, and fix/update the pools. Our room phone wasn’t even working for us to dial out. The pillows sucked. That’s why I’m giving this hotel a two stars rating. Also, they won’t let you check in till 4pm since they told us most people check out at noon so it will take them that long to get into your room. Other than that, it’s a good location nearby the beach.

Westport is a real nice fishing town. There's lots to do. The hotel offers The beach the pool the hot tub frisbee golf there's outdoor fire pits. Horseshoes volleyball basketball area and workout room complimentary coffee tea and popcorn it's the only indoor pool in Westport. The hotel is always clean. I wake up really early in the morning and they're always mopping and cleaning the front lobby. The breakfast is pretty good too. I rated the best place in Westport definitely to stay.

Just stayed one night while visiting family. The staff were amazing and made the experience fantastic. However the stairs going down to the pool were very slippery, I fell and banged ip my kner pretty bad, and while I was swimming another patron fell on the stairs too. Then his wife put towels on the stairs. (Problem solved) Also when I checked in around 7, there was a sign posted about pizza you could order until 10. I told the staff that was great, so my sister didn't need to pick up anything, we could swim then order pizza. At 9 we went to the counter to order the pizza, and they informed me that the people doing the pizza left because they didn't have orders? I was annoyed because at 9 almost everything is closed! They should tell people to pre order by 8, and if no orders they will close.
I would have rated it a 5, but because of those things I'm giving it a 4. I will definitely be back since I come out to visit every couple months and the other hotels I've stayed at the employees aren't even half as nice.

Interior could use a face lift. Shower temps kept fluctuating which was weird but not bad. TV is smaller in comparison to the bed. Staff was friendly and the room was clean. Soaps and lotion smelled great!

Absolutely love this place! My wife and I come here year round, either for a date weekend to enjoy the fireplace and cozy rooms, or with the kids who love going to the beach and the morning breakfast (I swear they eat their weight in waffles. ) The staff is wonderful and welcoming and keep everything clean and well maintained. It has been fun seeing the improvements being made. Every time we come down, there is something new to check out. The lighthouse is just up the road and the docks are a short drive. The Chateau is a treasure to be experienced.

I ha e had the blessed opportunity to stay at Chateau Westport about 5 times these past couple of years and it has become my “go to” place for de-stressing and experiencing my ocean “Happy Place” The rooms have been awesome, the staff very accommodating and the view and closeness to the ocean incredible! The location was outside great we had an amazing view. The rooms were clean and the service was great. The front desk persons were so kind and helpful. The continental breakfast was great. The pool is warm and pleasant to swim in. We had a blast here we will be coming back again! We came between veteran's day and thanksgiving. Despite that there wasn't much open we still found enough to do.

It's a couple minutes drive, and. 25 miles walking from the beach. The rooms are a little small but comfy. Forth floor has amazing view of the ocean. Pool and spa room are kept at warm temperatures year around. The continental breakfast was good. We came in the middle of November in the middle of the week. We still got great service and nothing was compromised due to they're only being three people in the hotel. The front desk people are very nice and helpful and we just enjoyed ourselves all around.

Nice beach hotel. Needs a little updating here and there, but overall it is clean and comfortable. My husband and I wanted to sneak in a get away before our baby arrived and it was perfect — especially for the price. Landscaping is maintained and there is a path right to the beach. We will definitely be back.

Won't go back. I was there in August. The front desk was overwhelmed and visibly stressed out. The Manager was rude. I waited for an hour past check-in for my room, which was overpriced for the outdated, poorly repaired interior and thin walls. The Murphy wall bed was coming apart and the mattress was so thin and hard it was a terrible night's sleep. The 'view' was a tiny peekaboo slit, which I paid extra for. The beach is actually about a mile away. With so many choices in the area, I'll never do this one again.

We had a great time. Celebrated our 33rd wedding anniversary. The room was great. Clean and comfortable. The staff was courteous and friendly. We will definitely come back.

The Chateau Westport was truly an amazing stay. If you are looking for a brand new building, this isn't for you. But for the price I paid it was everything and more. My room was very clean and the bed was super comfy, plus it was only about a 4 minute walk to the beach. They have a beach volleyball court, basketball hoop, children's playground, fire pits and a charcoal grill. As well and a pool and hot tub. The continental breakfast was one of the better ones I've had, I really lived the waffle makers. And they had a person in the kitchen room right next door to refill anything they ran out of. They have a coffee station in the lobby and a popcorn machine. Truly a lovely and beautiful stay. But they went even above and beyond when I left my bikini in my room, I called and THEY offered to mail it back. There was no hassle and they ended up finding a towel I left behind and mailed it with the bikini. So thankful! The whole staff was so nice!

3 star is pushing it but I give it to the staff. Very courteous and helpful. Bed was the worst ever. Should have slept on the floor. No air conditioning. Had the slider open to cool it down but no screen so bugs. Asked for a fan and that helped. Breakfast? Very continental. Room was clean. Water could not stay hot. Way overpriced for the area. I recommend camping or RV.

It was actually a lot fun to come here. A trail to the beach, playground, grill, fish washing station. Laundry, computer coffee continental breakfast 24/7 desk service. It's really great!

The hotel is beautiful although I found the bed to be a bit firm and the elevator was almost too small to fit the luggage cart inside. I enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back.

The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, but when my wife was checking in the front desk staff seemed more concerned with telling her all the things we could get in trouble for than welcoming her to the hotel. The complimentary breakfast had a lot to be desired. Not that I was expecting much, but the Fruit Loops were stale, the hard boiled eggs had an odd flavor and the only fresh fruit was some small apples. We would probably stay here again, but only with a Groupon.

Everything at this chateau is amazing! The rooms are really nice and clean. Not to mention the keurig and fireplace in the room made it even better. My kids loved swimming in the pool and playing games outside. The whole family liked the breakfast in the morning. The beach is one of the best I've been to and it's so close to the chateau. The grounds are amazing and beautiful. Love the balconies most rooms have. You can see the water and hear it. Nice fireplace. My only complaints are the walls are so thin you can hear everything in each room you're next to. That includes sex and you must keep your TV volume lowered at night. And the utensils supplied in the kitchen drawers were all dirty. Other than that it was good and I will come back. Close to fishing charters and small town to browse. No food delivery of any kind. Pretty good continental breakfast offered each morning until 10am.

This hotel was a bit too noisy for my comfort. We had a room near the elevators and near where the continental breakfast was served. We request a different room and was told they were all full. Seems odd for a mid-winter, nothing weekend. The beach was fantastic however. Great beach to find colored rocks and agates.

After giving the hotel manager time to respond & getting zero response, I feel I have to share the experience my daughter and I had recently. This was our first stay in over 5 years, however, not our first stay. We've stayed there several times in the past-always having had a good experience. We stayed 8/12-14 after a grueling 7 hour (per our usually 4hr trek) a highly congested drive w/several road closures. We were exhausted when we finally reached our destination. We arrived at about 8pm. After getting into our room, we find that there are no blankets, no comforter & no pillows in our room which has a Murphy bed. Just sheets I call down to the front desk & am told that I could come down there & pick up pillows & a blanket but that they don't have a comforter. To say I was a little annoyed is putting it mildly. Why on Earth should I have to go & retrieve from the front desk what should customarily be supplied in my room? But down I go so that I may get ready for bed. I notice that there appears to be a leak & that the toilet isn't flushing but figure I'll deal with that in the morning. I finally get settled in for the night at about 11pm only to be abruptly woken up at about midnight by a group of guests carrying on, drunk & loud outside my patio door, swearing & cackling. I give them about 20 minutes before I have had enough & call down to the front desk. I was assured they would take care of it.

My guy and I needed a weekend getaway and found these on Groupon. Was a fantastic deal that included 2 night for 2, with a bottle of wine and smores makings. We hit a glitch initially, as we made the reservations over a month in advance and some point during that time things fell apart. He called to confirmation our reservations a day before departure to find that we had no reservations. One of the reasons I've giving this a "very good" instead of a "excellent" is because of the initial contact. The girl was very short with him and semi rude about there not being a place set for us. I don't like to dock people on their mistakes but how mistakes are handled. So he got off the phone with her to find the email and/or paperwork showing his purchase. At which point he realized the woman he initially made the reservation with never sent him an email confirmation. But he was able to locate the groupon info. So he called back and fortunately got someone with a much better attitude who was willing to do what she had to and get us a room the following day. From that point on it was wonderful! (minus the kuerig in our room not working) The view was amazing! We spent most of our time there hanging out on our private balcony watching the ocean. And when the sun went down the fireplace made the getaway complete! And for those of you that have never visited Westport, it is a great place to run away to. Lots of great shops to visit, food to eat, etc.

I just went in to turn in an application to work there. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the place was well kept and beautiful.

Overall, a very enjoyable stay. About a 5 minute walk to a beautiful beach, rooms were clean, and staff were friendly. The downside is the rooms have very little soundproofing and it would have been nice to have air conditioning.

The service of the staff was fantastic and the location great. The building is older, but obviously well cared for with modern updates. The facility is clean and the Wi-Fi is fast! The hot tub was being renovated while we were there, but the pool was great. The continental breakfast far exceeded my expectations and the newspaper at our door was a fun treat to remember to disconnect our phones. The walk to the beach was easy and the view from the coast unusually serene because of the lack of nearby development. We had wonderful weather and spent the majority of our time outside — there's a volleyball court, playground, and fire pit on site. We ate dinner (takeout) watching the sunset over the ocean from our room… I will say that I think only the upper floors have an ocean view. Couldn't have asked for more helpful staff — from lending us bottle openers as needed to helping us find our way to town and get dinner.

Kind and helpful staff. A little expensive, but worth the little extra if you want to get away with a special someone.

I have stayed at crappy "just passing thru" motels better than Chateau Westport. All the billboards on the road leading to Westport suggest they're a nice establishment with respectful employees. We found out that this definitely was not the case. Let's work backwards: We paid for a soft, comfortable King Suite and ended up on a hard pull-out Queen couch. Why? The room next to us had a smoke alarm with a dead battery, so it began to beep from 2 am until we checked out the next morning. Of course we'd called the front desk to fix this problem, and her knocking on the door and my banging on the wall could not wake up whoever was passed out cold (or rotting) next to us. The high pitched, shrill beeping could even be heard outside. Leading up to that, several people (teens or kids) were racing, stomping, and running down our hallway from 8-10 pm, nearly every three minutes. Don't get me wrong, I opened the door and said something, but they were still rude enough to continue. I asked the front desk to take care of this, to which she responded, "Since it's not quiet hours, I can't do anything about it. " Seriously? Making noise within your own room is one thing, but the shared spaces should absolutely have some noise control.

Clean rooms, though a little outdated. Continental breakfast is just waffles, breads, cereal and oatmeal. Friendly staff that are knowledgeable about the area. Price is a little high but we used a Living Social and got a great deal!

A great little place! Came for the weekend on a Groupon, and it's been really nice. Everyone on the staff is very sweet and helpful. The room we have is a little narrow, but fits our needs. The mini fridge in the room is one of the larger ones, the microwave is smallish (and loud! ) but it works great. The view is nice, the windows open easily. The walls are a little thin (as other reviewers mentioned) but there are quiet hours in the official policy that are part of the check-in briefing. What else… The continental breakfast has waffle irons, cereal, bagels, yogurt, hard boiled eggs, coffee, hot chocolate, and juice machines. The beach is close, down a little paved road. All in all it's an obviously well-loved older hotel. My partner described it as "seventies architecture with eighties decor and a nineties paint job" but it's clean and the windows are a bit newer. XD Definitely recommend it for a weekend away!

Our softball team stayed four nights this month for a nearby tournament. The hotel was great! Rooms were spacious, the grounds were beautiful and the staff was amazing! The views of the ocean were so nice to see out of our window and the kids had a great time playing at the ocean and it was great to gather around the fire pit in the evening while the kids did various things on the lawn. Thanks for a great stay.

My wife and I stayed here for three nights and had a nice experience. The front desk people were very nice. Even just when I called to verify our reservation they were very kind. They were replacing the carpets in the halls when we got there and it appeared they had re done the entire ground level with a new lobby with fireplaces and whatnot. My one complaint, however, is that the walls seem paper thin. The people in the room next door had a kitchen and decided they would cook everything and anything during their stay. We could hear it all. We complained to management and they were very kind and moved us to another room immediately, so the rest of our stay was much quieter. All in all, it isn't the greatest hotel, but it was pretty decent for the price and for not having many options out in Westport. The difference was made by the staff, so accommodating and friendly.

We were just driving around on a busy weekend hoping they had a vacancy, we has walked in and the receptionist was super nice and made us feel right at home. She didn't have a room for two night just for one but she made sure she had us in a good view, as I was signing papers she had a cancellation and offered it to us right then we were so excited she went over behind after that. We can't wait to go back.

Came here for my birthday. The place is pretty run down and it could use some upgrades, some cleaning (especially the carpet) and some improvement starting with the heat thermostat in the room which was very tricky to adjust. The complimentary breakfast was ok, but no healthy options offered. The staff is pretty friendly, but also pretty clueless. We asked them if we could take the Chateau Trail to the beach and the person at the front desk didn't think it was necessary to mention that this particular trail was actually under water. The manager, Gaby, on the other hand is yet another story. A few days before the check in date I called to make sure everything was ok and the reservation was in good standing order since it was a few months back since it was placed. The manager asked for my name and started looking for the reservation. I spelled it to her 2 or 3 times, including the email and the phone number. After a brief search she concluded there wasn't any reservation and dismissed me asking me to call the third party used to make the reservation. I was pretty sure there was a reservation but since she said she couldn't find it, I started making phone calls and stayed on hold for almost an hour to get to the bottom of it.

Came here for our anniversary. The staff are friendly and helpful. The fridge wasn't working in the first unit we got. They offered us a unit on the top floor with a better view. The room is clean. Shower could use some improvement and cleaning. This place gave us the feel from the 80s and feels right in the small town setting. Would stay again.

This is one place where I wished zero stars were possible. The staff was very rude, inconsiderate, and uncaring. A serviceman walked in on me while I was napping — freaked me out, and the staff did nothing to remedy the problem. This is one property that needs to be turned inside out and restarted. Look elsewhere.

We are building a beach house right down the road from Chateau Westport, so this seemed convenient. It is, and the rooms are ok and all that biz. But the ladies at the front are extremely rude — even though we are there pretty much every weekend checking on our house. From being there every weekend and getting to know the locals, we've found out that Chateau Westport is known locally for being the rudest people in the community. They are disrespectful, unhelpful, and mean to locals. They are apparently only nice 3% of the time. I suppose if you are traveling there for only this one time in your whole life, then it'd be ok — but they are not good people in their hearts, and in the community.
