Probably best that they are closing! DON'T go there! They totally ruined our anniversary, I asked for the king luxury suite when I called weeks ahead for reservations, but that's not what we were given! We got there and they put us in a dark ugly room smaller than our bedroom at home! I've been in MUCH better rooms for half the price. It was not well cleaned and the whole "resort" stunk of chlorine. When we went right back to the front desk to let them know the room was completely unacceptable, they didn't seem to care! One of them just kept saying " the room you wanted is for up to 6 people" OK, so unless things have suddenly changed… 2 is still less then 6… Right? And that the " room" they put us in is one of their most requested (WHY?! It's small, dark and not really what I consider a nice room! ) They claim they've refunded my money but at this point it's not back in my checking account yet… I was told to try Carson hot springs, but I'm afraid to, since they own it too, and this experience was so AWFUL! I'm just hoping my money shows up at this point! I feel like we ordered a full steak dinner and were served a McDonald's kiddie meal! This was our only chance to get away this year and took alot of planning to cover responsibilities at home for the night, to have them ruin it and not even care is just disgusting! Friends and family thought it was incredibly rude that they didn't offer us so much as a soak in the pool to make up for their total screw up!

We loved our stay here! The resort was beautiful and the pool, hot tubs, and sauna were fabulous. The food was good and reasonably priced as well! The only reason we can't give it a 5 star review is because they wanted to charge for a crib. Out of 8 hotels we stayed at on our trip this was the only one to charge for a crib.

My wife got food poisoning, Management didn't care. That about sums up our trip. First off this place has a restaurant that is good, but should be in the 20 a plate range not 30. The entire place is ran by a bunch of people clueless in what they are doing, yet the cost is high. First off we get in and ask for reservations and are told 7 and 730 is booked, so we do 645. We get there and the place is seating for about 20 to 30 tables and I see two others. As we are eating it never really fills up so kind of funny we cannot get reservations. We decide to kill some time before dinner and play mini golf. Don't bother, this course was obviously built in the 1980s and probably was last maintained then as the ball on every hole will fall down as surface is not maintained. Dinner roles around and the food is decent as is the wine but the mark-up is gigantic. But whatever the place is a retreat and you expect that. Later that night my wife wakes up throwing up and having other issues. We had a large dinner but only two glasses of wine and had not had much else. So basically it appears to be stomach only problems and I tell the front desk at 730. No follow up as we go to check out at 1115, and they said no one left anything. I ask if we can get the meal comped that was 140 with tip on top of a 340 room charge. Well they don't have the power to do that, but somehow the chef can?

I'm a local. And when I need a little bit of 'class' I head to the Bonneville hot springs lounge. Inviting cozy atmosphere, great food at reasonable prices and a fun professional staff.

Beautiful place, service was top quality, if we needed towels or more shampoo the front desk ladies would bring things up personally! The place is also very beautiful with plants, flowers and spa areas! Also got to see a wild hare and beaver during my stay! Charming place~

Nice place. Good pool. Nice sauna. Nice jacuzzi. Nice customer service. Just wish they had a dryer in the bathroom Cuz they don't.

3 hour drive from the 253 and well worth it. Had an amazing time with a friend. Spa services were amazing. Facilities are clean and staff was helpful and friendly. Can't address the complaints about the pool staff as we did not use it. We ate at both the restaurant and bar. Food was excellent and I thought average price for dining out. The thing I enjoyed most was the laid back atmosphere through out the hotel. Everywhere in the hotel you will see people in their spa robes enjoying themselves. Outdoors in the gorgeous garden terrace area, in the bar, the great room and the restaurant and of course the spa. No makeup crazy hair, you will fit right in. Cannot wait to go back. BTW take a minute to check out the woodwork and ironwork. I was told most of this beautiful was hand made by the owner.

We stayed in a king hot tub room and were pleased with the quality of the room room and the overal leve of confort. If anything the décor was a little outdated. Nestled in the beautiful Columbia River Gorge the drive out is amazing be sure to bring the camera.

Overpriced! Questionable staff. Just know you are just paying for the novelty of hot spring mineral water. It's cool if you get a hot tub room. That is it. The rooms and food are mediocre for the money. The spa staff. At least the woman we encountered was incredibly rude. Made me want to leave. Felt like she was almost annoyed we were there. This was the second time we have stayed and had same experience both times. Always willing to give second chance… probably not a third. Will not be returning.

The food was amazing. Dinner was like a 5 star restaurant and breakfast was just as good. The staff was friendly and our room was clean. The only thing I saw that needed attention was the grounds. I found many old bags of leaves sitting around. I will be going back.

We will be staying at Bonneville for the 3rd time this year! We absolutely LOVE it! Our own hot tub, amazing food, and some lovely pampering with massages and relaxing. The staff is always accommodating and friendly. I highly recommend this place to all couples!

It was all great except no cell phone service. And Wi-Fi only works in the lobby. In the room it was unusable.

This place was NOT worth the cost. We paid a few hundred for one night stay with a private tub. Tub was falling apart, room was janky and we just felt like like we were in a cheap highway motel. The bed was really uncomfortable. Everything in this place needs a serious update if they want to justify charging what they do. Pool room was so chlorinated that justgot walking in the room made my eyes and lungs hurt. Wifi only works in main lobby and is terrible even there. The restaurant was crap. The lobbys looked like storage units… Old dusty box tvs stacked in corners, old janky couches. The staff was all VERY unprofessional… I am just really frustrated that we spent over $300.00 a night for this. Never again! The only good part was that our hot tub was hot and full of mineral water.

A great spa and really good hotel, they have also wonderful diner, nice room with jacuzzi on balcony, very good water.

-It was the worst experience I've been. Even cheap hotels Ive been were better. We came at 2oclock and had to sit in lobby for another hour because check in is at 3. — Hotel rooms were nice and clean but TV wasn't updated to a flat screen like our neighbors did or the shower didn't have a closed glass doors but curtain like our neighbors room had updated which I'm not complaining just saying. -The pool was nice just too much chlorine. -Don't start me with the restaurant. It ruined my vacation. Starting with food. Was okay just depends what you order but wasn't the best. I seriously thing Olive Garden or Applebee's do a better job. Waitress was so horrible. They say us to a table fast (obviously they have no one) and wait time just to order food took 30min just for someone to come up to you. The food took okay time but paying for food literally took 35min someone to pick up our checks and scan the card. It's like hello! It's not so hard to scan my credit card!

That was our first & last visit. They won't check you in before 3pm. Then to use their pool the next day you have to pay 10$. The dinner service was horrible. 16min wait for the server. Food wait was okay 25min. 30 min wait for checks. Brought our table of six 1 check. We asked to split it. Server, jena, started mumbling under her breath & walked away making us feel uncomfortable. Food is 7/10 but very overpriced! They have no TV in the lodge xcept bar. Told us we can sit there, then when time came one of us was underage & kicked us out. Couldn't finish watching game. Left to scamania lodge 12 min away. They had great food & finished the game. Not enough places to sit down.

Dissappointed, expensive food, subpar rooms, old run down facility. The facility needs a major overhaul to be a great getaway.

I loved the week I spent at Bonneville. It was exactly the kind of TLC I needed! The resort is modern and sleek but it steel feels really homey and relaxing. The mineral water worked great for my joint pain too!

During our 2014 winter break vacation, my family and I enjoyed the hot springs (especially because there was a snowstorm back in Chicago). We have never been to any hot spring and this was a great first experience. We enjoyed the beautiful views and location. A nice taste of Washington.

I love Bonneville! When I leave my skin always feels softer, my muscles are relaxed and all of my aches and pains are gone. There is truly healing power in these hot springs! I try to come here as often as I can to enjoy the healing properties of the mineral water and I will continue to come back for many years.

Went to Bonneville for a quick getaway and it was really, really relaxing. I was surprised to find that the mineral water didn't smell like eggs, like most hot springs do. I had a bath & wrap in the spa and it was rejuvenating — — I would recommend it to anyone staying at the hotel. The attendant in the spa was really kind, and the lavender scent they put in the bath was divine. Honestly, I probably should have gone back for a second time. Our room had a surprisingly large patio that overlooked the spa area which was the perfect place to enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. I wish I could have stayed longer so I would have been able to truly enjoy the health benefits that the mineral water provides.

Bad rooms with broken spa in room. Dated decor. Deserted restaurant, slow service, bad food. Pool is very chlorinated. Spa services are hit or miss, not reliable for quality services. Front desk people (Mom & Daughter) are non responsive and don't care about helping the guests.

I have never been to such an outdated and unkempt place as the Bonneville resort. My wife has been here in the past and had a pleasant experience but this was aweful. We went away for our anniversary which had a lovely beginning at the spa with a massage and ended abruptly there after. (Just a warning they charge a 60$ service charge if you get a spa service with your room. ) The room we got had the thermostat set to 95 and what a scorcher it was inside. The staff that came after we called just turned it off and asked we keep a door open instead of turning on the ac. Their "on demand" set up uses a wired broken N64 controller and the TV is a monstrous tube tv. The definition of the TV was also flawed by what looked like antenna interference. Their vending machines are nicely marked with little warning signs like "this machine eats quarters" The "resort" really is in desperate need of an update the dream of the 90's here is turning into more of a nightmare. If you're looking to sneak away into the gorge for a getaway I recommend the Carson ridge luxury cabins. Cheaper and far nicer.

Great spa services and very inexpensive! Be sure to purchase a day pass to the sauna and mineral water pool. Very inexpensive rooms that are incredibly basic and a little dated. The property is extremely quite, not material luxury but naturally luxurious via the setting.

My daughter and husband went to spend the night for their honeymoon, wanting to surprise them I called the night before the date of their arrival. I had a fruit plate, a cheese plate, ballons, card, and 50.00 food credit and champagne (this was all suppose to be in the room when they checked in, ) They forgot the card, so I called and had them deliver the balloons and card. Then I ask if they had gotten the 50.00 credit, NO… I am so disappointed. Our family has spent much time and money there, so I had to make a second call… so much for trusting the people who work there. So my great surprise was spoiled, had to list the things we had bought to make sure they got everything.

I am wheelchair bound with certified service dog from canine companions for independence. I booked a room for my girlfriend and I with a hot tube and we checked in with the dog by my side and we went to our room. 20 minutes later we received a call from front desk saying we were not allowed to stay in a hot tub room with my dog. They proceeded to kick us out and didnt have the decency to upgrade us but put us in a lesser non ada room. They called owner and he said basically take offer or leave.

I have never experienced such terrible customer service. Both my wife and I are stunned and laughing because it was that bad. "Did that really happen!? " is what we are asking each other. When speaking to the front-desk staff, they claimed to be the owner when I asked to speak to a manager. Update: I spoke with the owner's daughter, so she was the owner, which is even more surprising. I hope hotel management appreciates their customers taking the time to write reviews telling them how to improve their service, as the more recent reviews appear to indicate a trend of bad experiences. However, based on my conversation on 6/30/2015 I doubt it will make any difference, which is too bad, as this is a nice facility — with bad service.

Went to check in. The front desk staff very rude and not helpful. They will not check you in before 4! Unless you pay an extra 75.00 and even then it's not till 3 or 3:30. I would have just left but they would have charged me full price. There is no outdoor pool. If I could give zero stars I would.

It's all about the room with a tub on the back patio. Third floor facing the mountain with your lady and some high heels she hasn't worn in too long. And too much wine from the cooler next to the spa bought down the street. Or the suite, other than that it's a great place for kids and a day trip. Good memories.

We had invasion of privacy (staff walked in on us with another couple behind them) read below. so by reading the recent reviews everything makes more sense! The place is beautiful! Makes you stop worrying and relax. We got a king hot tub room. Which was nice clean and welcoming beside the stinchy/smoke-likw/stuffy room smell. Coffe was a plus to the room:) old tv. Clean bed comfortable. The jacuzzi was so pleasant except for the fact that the ceiling had creepy looking brown stains and mold and bunch of dead bugs and old dried leaves behind it. Non of that was a big deal and didnt ruin the stay. What did bother me that after getring out frol hor tub I put a tank top on and sat down for coffe with husband jist as our front door opens with a staff memeber standing there with 2 other guests looking awkwardly at us and us at them. They did not look comfortable either. She nust have gotten the wrong room for them. Still I was in a tank top woerh open cleavage and no pants on. No privacy so be careful. I mentioned it to staff and there wasnr much of an apology except them saying that ir wasnt supposed to happen. Breakfast was nice and I want to add the diner staff is REALLY POLITE. They make up for alot. Food a bit pricey for the quality but wasnt a bof deal at all! Guest services walking in on us scared us from here a bit. Whsn we were leavinf my husband said its amazing that no one called or came up to apologize for the incident. Oh well.

This place is not a true hot spring, too much chlorine. It has a feel that is like a city pool stuck in a beautiful woodsy setting. It is a great location but with all the chlorinated water it isn't what you would expect from a "hot springs resort". Staff was nice but you cant make up for false advertisement with good staff. We are never going back.

I went there and took a spa. 10 minutes after the spa, I felt burn in my right eye, I tried ice cooling it. And the next day, the swollen eye got worse. I went to see a doctor, he told me it's infection. I didn't do anything except for the spa on that day. So I complained to the hotel, but the reception can only tell me they never heard of this before, and she had to wait until the manager come back next week. Come on, so you don't have anyone to do anything when manager is gone? I can't go to work because it looks too scary, I spent hundreds seeing doctor and getting medicine. I want to sue them for this.

I loved the out door hot tube (no kids there) and the sauna. There was a surprisingly large number of children by the pool who were loud and made relaxing by the pool impossible, but that isn't the hotels fault. We had a hot tub room which was lovely and worth the extra $70. I had such a relaxing time. Everything would have been great except their restaurant was not good, however it wasn't inedible. After a day of golfing and hot tubbing I was starving so I could not bring myself to send anything back. At 30/ plate I was expecting very nice dishes, but the steak was over cooked, the gravy was grey/bland and the there was no duck in our croquettes. I think this would have been a 5 star experience if the restaurant was better/less expensive.

I've been here many times and the place is great. Very clean, very much enjoyable. It is a bit pricey but its well worth the price. But. all of the establishment is ruined by the worst customer service I've ever encountered. I come to enjoy my time and unplug, I dont come to get harassed by the staff. We respect other patrons, we respect the rules, but somehow, a manager here named Katherine has managed to ruin my experience here for the second time. I did not pay $160 for my family to be harassed by this Nazi manager. Maybe she could instead reenlist into Hitlers SS army, than manage a resort.

I went to this place in Nov 14 and was so disappointed. This place should NOT be called a Hot Springs resort. I have been to many Hot Springs and have never been to one that has so much Chlorine pumped into it. It defeats the whole purpose of a natural mineral hot spring and you feel itchy just sitting in there! We spent 10 minutes in the water and the smell of chlorine was so unpleasant we left. Again, this NOT a natural hot spring experience but a hotel swimming pool experience. The indoor facilities were old and dated, don't let the pics from their website fool you! Big waste of time and money.

Not worth it. Just a waste of money. Never will go back there.

My 2 other girl friends and I used to rely on your restaurant for a monthly lunch and catch up and have been a long time patron of your restaurant for years. I am very disappointed in the declining menu selection. It is now to the point that there is NOTHING on the lunch menu that I will order. The last time I was there, looking forward to the BBQ sliders, which I had just had a month prior were no longer on the menu. You took the French Onion Soup off the menu quite some time back. The Fish Tacos were terrible. Sadly we will find another restaurant for your monthly lunches. In al honesty a deli sandwich or cup of soup from the grocery store deli would be better then your lunch menu, and a lot cheaper.

Worst place that I could have sent my daughter for her second night honeymoon. I pre-paid a honeymoon package and a separate spa package — — two separate transactions. I made the appointment, the kids showed up and enjoyed their spa treatment. When it was over, they were told it would be billed to their room. A flurry of phone calls ensued over a couple of weeks, with a promised call from a general manager. Not only did I never get that call, they billed my daughter's card that she used to reserve the ROOM $500. That sent them into a financial tailspin to say the least. The snarky onsite manager said it was MY fault for not checking to see if the spa package was actually deducted from my bank account. In a month of wedding expenses and trusting a "respected" business to charge my card, why would I check? Of course, the person who took my account information and made the booking is no longer there. The rooms were so-so, the food okay, and the hot water in the shower was scalding and wouldn't cool off. Bad, bad, bad place. Stay far, far away.

We have stayed here twice. Both times, we had a private hot tub on the balcony overlooking the mountain. It is absolutely awesome and wonderful to soak in that hot tub! The room itself was fine. It was clean, and it had a flat-screen TV. The first time we stayed (2 years ago), we ordered room service for breakfast. It took over an hour to show up, and then it was very bad tasting. The pot of water for tea was cold. It was ridiculous! We just stayed there again, and decided to have dinner in the dining room. The food was bad again! I mean, really bad! And in the morning, knowing we did not like room service, we just went downstairs and got a fruit and cheese plate. And it was also just awful! So I would say to enjoy the private hot tub on the balcony, but eat somewhere else.
