The staff was nice and the room was clean. Even the dog walking area was pretty clean. I would have given them another star if the hallway didn't smell so bad. It's a basic room for traveling through that takes pets at a reasonable price.

I couldn't say enough good things about the staff at Motel 6 Washington DC SW. The staff is so friendly; always greeting with a good morning and a hello. They go out of their way to satisfy and make you comfortable during your stay. The housekeeping is absolutely great and friendly; great cleaning service. Excellent staff from the Manager to the front desk down to housekeeping. Parking is free. Although this is a large hotel with many guest, I was always able to find parking. My stay felt like staying with friends.

The rooms were recently remodeled and very clean. The hotel smelled clean, not musty as some less expensive hotels tend to be. The front desk staff was extremely polite and helpful. The hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to restaurants. We would definitely stay here again.

This Motel 6 is the best Motel 6 I have ever stayed at. Right off 95. Great Prices, Metro nearby, as well as a large variety of restaurants. Amazingly friendly front office staff, and awesome Managers. Check in is thorough, and all amenities explained. Coffee in the mornings, and whenever requested throughout the day. Rooms are very clean, and the housekeeping staff is fantastic. Always greeted with warm sincere smiles, which is a huge plus. This has always been my go to location, and I would recommend this Motel 6 for everyone. It is also pet friendly with no additional cost. And they have smoking rooms, at no additional cost as well. This Motel 6 is 5 Star Certified by Honest Abe.

The entire place smelled like stale smoke, including my room which was suppose to be smoke free. It was very difficult to find the entrance… there were many trucks blocking the entrace. An additional sign is needed. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spotless. The towels and sheets were very thin and worn. The doors to the motel need to be updated to electric as it was difficult to bring in one's belongings.

I had called the morning of me checking in to see if there would be an issue if I got there at 2 to get a room. I was told that shouldn’t be a problem. Due to traffic I didn’t get there until 2:50ish. The guy at the front desk was really nice and told that rooms were being cleaned and it should be about a 10 minutes wait. He then showed me where I could sit while I waited for my room. At around 3:15, my room was ready (20 minutes later). Once I was situated in my room, I was able to relax while I waited for my friend to arrive. This is where my patience got tried for the second time. My friend got there safely and during, um, how can I put this, an intimate moment between us. There was a sudden knock on the door. When I asked who it was, the guy said that he was from maintenance. He said he needed to get a white box (looked like an industrial air purifier) that he believed was left in my room. When I asked if he could come back later, he said politely that he really needed the box. I got up, put on my robe, grabbed the box, partly opened the door and handed it to him. He did apologize about disturbing me. After that things were ok. I got up the next morning, got my stuff together and got ready for work. My check out was seamless and I was on my way. While at work, I noticed that I had broken out in a rash along my left and right arms. I’m a side sleeper so the where the rashes are located fits with that.

Staff was very accommodating. Beds were comfortable and room was clean. Great location being close to the Metro. My only complaint is that I would've liked a microwave in the room with the refrigerator.

Older hotel. Nice staff they have limited truck parking and an overflow lot across the street. They do get a lot of truck traffic. It was a good price. And my stay was average.

Everything was great. Great Service, great room and great morning coffee. My only complaint was that, after booking online, I never received an email confirming the booking. I then called to confirm my reservation and the person I spoke to, while very helpful, promised to send a followup email which I also never received. Written confirmation would have been nice. Free Wifi would have been nice, though.

We were traveling with 4 small dogs and were pleased that your hotel is pet friendly. The room was surprisingly clean, although dimly lit. Eileen at the front desk was very friendly and directed us to a wonderful restaurant that delivered our meals. We would highly recommend your hotel to anyone traveling on a budget and with pets.

It was a perfect stay. The guys really helped out a lot. I really appreciate everything that they did for us. Would highly recommend to anyone!

The best thing about this hotel is the staff! They are friendly, professional, and helpful! Although the rooms are basic, they are immaculate. The rates are extremely reasonable and the they allow dogs WITHOUT an additional fee! I heard some guests complain about having to pay for internet, but the internet fees are extremely reasonable and I think this policy helps keep the room rates low. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family and will stay in Motel 6 hotels again in the future.

The front desk employee called after we checked in to make sure the room was good. Nice touch. The room was clean, recently remodeled with minimalism in mind. Finding and accessing electrical outlets is always a problem, BUT NOT at this Motel 6. Easily charged all our devices.

After our second night, the cleaning service did not go into our room the following day leaving us with all our old dirty towels. We did get clean ones from the receptionist however… The entire floor we stayed on had a real bad smell to it. Kind of like smoke despite being the non-smoking section and the water pressure in the bathroom sink was very weak.

Friendly staff and flexible check-in times. But indoor interior is horrible. I've stayed at other Motel 6 locations accross the United States. No mini fridge or microwave is a minus. Would do some good is hallways were painted warm colors. If lobby felt more inviting.

I ended up not being able to book due to a family emergency and am still being charged the $75. Please look into this for me. I understand policy but was unable to make it for extreme urgency due to weather I had to help family in a crisis.

Just a clean motel with a fair price. Do not expect luxury. Rooms are big, spacious. Have a decent and clean bathroom win only a couple bars of soap. They have cable but you have yo pay for the internet service. Parking is ample. Staff at night was friendly and helping with all my questions.

Very clean and quiet the receptionist Mario very professional and friendly and now with the app it is easier to book and do a discount has candy machines and sodas.

The staff is was absolutely wonderful! I really enjoyed my stay. My only complaint would be the television reception was off. A rain storm came in and the TV went out and then periodically continued to go in and out… maybe the satellite dish simply needs adjusting. But overall this was a great place and I would certainly return if for no other reason than the immaculate staff on hand! They were a wonderful delight!

Our stay was by far the worst we have had there. Our room had roaches In it. And I had to call the front desk three times for tins of disturbance in the hall way from 230 am to 430 am. Finally after the third time calling the desk I guess the staff finally kicked them out. It was ridiculous. Barely got any sleep. I’m hoping future stays aren’t this bad. We stay here several times a month. Ms. Nylund.

Mario was a great help! He was very friendly and gave me no hassle when checking in. My room was also very clean. Love this motel 6 they have great customer service all of front desk was very nice and welcoming. Some women in house keeping are rude but other than that everything’s fine.

My husband and I choose Motel 6 based on price, cleanliness and the ability to bring our dogs with us. This stay Nate in the front lobby went above and beyond to help make our stay amazing. He couldn’t have been friendlier and more knowledgeable.

The front desk staff and the cleaning staff were all very polite and helpful. They were very pleasant. The location is EXTREMELY difficult to find even with GPS. There should be more signage near the intersection with Backlick Road. It was VERY frustrating driving around in the dark trying to find the access road and then almost getting stuck back on the interstate because there are many roads and not enough signs.

The guy at the desk was really helpful in providing me a window room that I can see my truck with. Only "not so good" thing I can say was not enough small towels in bathroom. It was only one. Other than that, stay was good. Could use a upgrade in sheets and blanket though.

Love this hotel when coming to Washington DC which my husband and I do yearly. I love that this hotel has a coin laundry so I can do laundry before leaving to move on. The washers were out if service that is the only reason I give a 4. Staff is very friendly, room very clean, and the stay was very pleasant. I recommend this hotel. ☺

The price was very affordable for the Washington DC area, but we had issues. 1. The door to our room was very difficult to open. If you moved the handle down, you could not open the door. If you moved it up, it had to be pushed very hard nearly sounding like we were breaking it to open it. 2. When we arrived the smoke alarm was chirping and someone had to come in and replace the battery. Why wouldn't the maid who cleaned before we arrived notice it? They were prompt fixing it as it would chirp every minute until fixed.

You get what you pay for… didn't like the prison-like feeling of the bright orange wall and bare floor (although I guess that's easier to sanitize than carpet), but bed was comfortable enough, bathroom was clean, it served its purpose for a night. Also, dogs stay free, so that's a huge plus.

Such a wonderful experience. I evacuated to DC from Hurricane Irma. Raja made my stay outstanding. I would absolutely suggest this location to anyone!

A receptionist was cordial and welcoming and special mention to the male receptionist scheduled between 530-7pm on Sept 1, 2014 (maybe named Jordan? or joshua? but a Christian name). Keep up the good work for that day you have unleashed the tiredness in me and husband. Again Thanks a lot.

Room and bath impeccable. Staff friendly and very helpful. I would respectfully suggest a rewards program for frequent guests.

Motel 6 is a good place to be at if you need a couple nights at a hotel or working nearby, they have good hospitality and are quick to help if you need anything, my room and towels are always clean which adds on to why I am enjoying my visit! :)

Whenever I go to this motel they treat me very well they are very friendly especially Mario is the one who always attends me very professional and efficient.
The place is clean and quiet.

Front desk service was very nice they were very polite very helpful the room was nice but I wished if there is a microwave and a cooler other than that it was decent but what made it better is the front desk service they're very kind they know what they are doing keep it up please add microwaves and fridges to your rooms thank you.

I just needed a comfortable place to stay in an expensive area without paying $400/night. This hotel had friendly staff, clean rooms, comfortable beds, and was in a great location for dining/shopping/transportation options… all for an unbeatable price. The sheets were a bit scratchy and there were some questionable characters also staying at the hotel, but that certainly wouldn't stop me from staying there again. I would just bring my own blanket or sheets next time, because I'm a texture snob.

My husband and I had business to take care of in VA and I wanted to not spend a lot of money. I shopped around and did my research and read reviews. While Motel 6 might not have the best reputation, we found our room to be clean, the bed comfortable, although when we lay down on it it made creaky noises. We had a king size bed, and plenty of room. We didn't spend time in the room except to sleep, but that was all we needed. The front desk people were very good and friendly.

We like the modernized rooms with wood-like floors but there was a smell to the room that smelled like cleaner or deodorizer. We were disappointed that there was no refrigerator or microwave. The TV quality was very good. We like Motel 6's dog-friendly policy. It is very difficult to turn left or go straight on the access road to the hotel.

BED BUGS! Horrible experience with the Manager "MARY GOFF" not only was she rude but NEVER apologized for me being beaten by bed bugs, how disgusting! She kept saying all she could do was report it back to the corporate once she sends the termite inspection out. Refused to give me a time frame, she did NOTHING! then I received an email saying the termite inspection report showed NO bed bugs and that they hope I now feel better. WAS THIS A JOKE?! we took the bed bug in a clear plastic cup to the reception PLUS I got four different bites on my arm that you could clearly see. Are they implying I'm lying? If he manager would had AT LEAST said "I apologize for your inconvenience but no, she acted like she did not care. If you don't like bed bugs — DO NOT STAY HERE!

Polite staff and very responsive. The hallway and common area cleanliness is a bit sketchy, but not terrible. It could be better, but not terrible. The room cleanliness was great. New linens and a clean bathroom. The first floor is loud. I could hear folks coming and going all night both outside the window and in the hallway. Don't stay on the first floor! Not a bad hotel and you get what you would expect for $65/night. No microwave, no refrigerator, but you get a clean bed and a clean bathroom. I'm assuming it is quieter on the second floor and third floors. There are lots of construction crews arriving late and leaving early that tend to add to the noise on the first floor.

Conveniently located and very pet friendly. Rooms were clean and smartly designed. Large parking area and friendly service. No frills but coffee was provided in the morning and other amenities available through the front desk.

The location of the hotel was excellent. There is a giant and Kmart less than 5 minutes. You have many options for eating. The rooms are simple but clean. The Wi-Fi premium is worth the price. The service is good also every day that return was everything clean and tidy.

My son and I were down in DC to see friends so my "fun" was elsewhere. All I needed was a place to stay at night. As to the Motel 6, it was not fancy, but it was clean, easy to come and go from and it was restful. It did what I asked of it and for a reasonable price.

Seems like just another Motel 6, as always, but once you get into your room, it's way nicer than what you had imagined. The whole decor of the rooms is modern and sleek. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay! I will visit again.

The location is kinda tricky to get to as there is an interstate nearby that gets backed up with traffic. The rooms are nice enough, but nothing fancy. Basic for the most part but clean. The covers for the beds are very thin, so you have to make sure the air conditioning isn't set too cold or else there isn't anything extra to convert up with. The staff isn't overly friendly and there is no breakfast in the morning, but they do set out free coffee, which let's be honest is what we're all after anyway.

This is by far the worse hotel I've ever stayed at. The hallways smelled like smoke and piss. My bed had a Dorito and piss stains in it. I drove 4 hours back to my house rather than stay there. The staff are rude and not helpful at all, and it took the general manager 3 days to even answer my phone call just to say that she would make a note of it. No apology or anything. By far the worst place I've stayed at.

If the staff here paid the same attention to the hotel as they do as to what you are doing in your personal life, this would be a great place… Theres no diversity, so dont look for any here. You MUST speak Spanish if you are to get 99.9 percent of the staff to understand you. They offer nothing that even the cheapest hotel offer ie, shampoo, decent soap that does eat your skin, toothbrush and coffee allday. Once the coffee is put away in the morning, you will get all sorts of attitude if you ask certain staff members for a cup. And that too depends on who you are. Remember, I said NO diversity. Spanish speaking and middle eastern staff ONLY. They have windows that open and the smoking floor is 4, but you can only open the window enough to get your index finger thru it. Which in my eyes, this is a fire hazard. If fire in the hallway, you will have to break the window to get out. Ice machines rarely work and vending machines overpriced. You have to use the community microwave if you dont want to pay EXTRA for a micro/fridge in your room. Hallway carpet smells like urine and smoke.

Typical motel. No frills. Not even shampoo in the bathroom. But for the price, they do a good job of being a basic motel. Smoking rooms available, pet-friendly, staff works to accommodate your needs, so four stars for being what it is.

This was my first experience at this location. I don't understand the negative reviews. This is a wonderful "budget" hotel in a good location. Newly renovated. The rooms are quiet. The A/C units are new, not noisy. The beds are comfortable. This is a Motel 6, which means no frills, just a very clean room, comfortable bed, for a great price. I will return many times. There are plenty of good places to eat in the local area. Easy on/off I-95/I-395/I-495.

I had 3 great nights at the hotel, the price was worth the stay. I had to pay 4.99 for high speed internet but I didn't mind the cost. The room was quiet and the curtains block all outside light. The only thing I would complain about is the noise coming from the room above during one night, I could hear what seem was a toy being played with by a child. The location of the hotel at first seem a little weary but after my first night I felt more comfortable and safe. I would stay here or recommend it to anyone.

For the price is not worth it. Service ok. Are suck. Well is VA that's all I have to say.

Wifi not free. No free breakfast. Don't stay here. There are plenty of better hotels for this same price on Hotwire or priceline or expedia.
