Maintenance staff are the best! But there are MANY downsides. Elevators have had at least one nonworking (sometimes two) almost nonstop since I moved in three months ago. There is no real sense of community among residents. You have to pay $100 for a key (if you want more than one key). And the worst thing, there are only 25 guest spots for the whole building and there is no street parking anywhere that is readily available. So if you care about having overnight guests, it will be a struggle, and you have to deal with their paper-based, old-fashioned method of obtaining parking passes for guests.

I move from Florida and they help me throughout the process of moving. Looking all the information I need it to have an easy transition. The amenities are simply amazing. Great gym, computer center (copy machine is not the best) but good computers; game room and even a dog park. I have a dog and I haven't met a place nor employee that shows so much love for pets. They always have such a great attitude towards residents and pets. It's simply amazing. The hearth of the building has a name and is Vinnie. She is just such an amazing human being and person. She really listens and cares for what you need. (so sad she left the complex) There some areas that can improve the fire pit has never seen it working or the landscaping can be better. Visitor parking can be a hassle, especially after hours since concierge might not have a pass to give away; if that is the case you might need to park outside of the complex near Harris Teeter. The fire Pit has not worked since I moved here in March 2014 and in October of 2016 and still do not work. The concierge can be more productive with their time. Not only that elevator did not work for over 5 months, totally unacceptable. Is a beautiful place and is not well maintain.

They allowed me to stay but would not allow my parents to stay with me since they had poor credit due to some financial issues. I had to decline because at the end of the day family comes first. I thinks very immoral and unethical for them to judge who can stay and who cant. Service wise they are horrible and have no respect when it come to future residents. I honestly think they need sit down with their branch manger restructure there policy and procedure.

Leasing office review: Sabrina Maxwell has been super helpful whenever we needed her. Our washer/dryer broke, and maintenance did not come to fix it the same day, actually took them two days to fix, but Sabrina gave us access to a vacant apartment to use the washer and dryer so we would have clean clothes for the baby. Thanks Sabrina!

Terrible building upkeep and mgmt. No security. Doors are always unlocked, parking is not secure, pool is constantly full because anyone off the street can come in and use it due to unlocked access. Animals urinate in the elevators. Bicycles are stolen from the garage. Elevator broke and it took 5 months to fix. Plumbing in building is a constant issue. Management is unhelpful. (The building maintenance people are the unsung heros. )

Yikes. I want to love where I live but have so many mixed feelings about Ovation. The building itself is new and modern, so common areas and the units have appeal to the masses. It's got a 24 hour Harris teeter very close by and it's about 1 mile away from the Tysons Metro Station. But of course, this doesn't come free and you pay 2800/month for a 1BR, 3200/month for a 2BR; a premium even in Tysons. Now on to the more concerning parts that the shiny new things can't quite cover up (and that use residents have to put up with constantly) : 1. Poor property management. There is a basic lack of understanding about how to treat the residents who pay your salary. Communications are non-existent; I'll give a few examples since I have SEVERAL to work from ;) : — 1 of the 2 elevators on one half of the building was out for an entire 3 months this summer (at 19 floors with 8 units each… do the math to figure out how many residents that affected). The PM didn't send out updates for the first 3 weeks. When I suggested to her that residents should receive more frequent updates about the elevator repair status, she argued with me and defended her lack of communications style as being "adequate". Her definition of adequate was to send 1 update every month that just said the elevator repair was delayed AGAIN due to ANOTHER problem that was supposedly found.

Horrible security with no concern for the quiet enjoyment of its residence. Letters are written and nothing is enforced. People are allowed to bar-b-que and play loud music at all hours of the night. Even up until midnight — — such lovely accommodations with absolutely NO security.

The apartments are OK, but the Manager Christina absolutely refuses to solve any problems. Me and other neighbors have complained multiple times about serious issues and she always says "I need to talk to Corporate". She never replies to emails or phone messages if it is a complaint. She obviously is just ignoring my complaint and many other complaints regarding loud music, lack of safety cameras (many cars were robbed in the parking garage). avoid due to management.

Very modern apartment complex. Amenities are very upscale. Grocery shopping is within walking distance.
