If anybody is trying to find good deals on hotels visit HoteIBully. Com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere! Undergoing renovations, but I saw no sign of it whilst there for three days. Absolutely beautiful location with kind and caring staff. A great location for an event. These five stars are for Phil on the AV team, who helped me with the audio/video setup in the ballroom, and for the Turkish lad Ali who worked the front desk and told me he enjoyed Vegemite. He might have been lying but it was a great story! Highly recommend this venue.

This is a typical 5 star hotel. Good location. In the middle of all DC touristy places, very close to the White House. You can walk to anything else. Good shops around the hotel. The hotel is located in a pretty historical building that was built over 200 years ago (1818). Hotel features unique and beautiful design in the lobby, in the elevators, hallways, and even each room has nice paintings of the Willard building. The staff is very friendly and helpful. — — — — — — — What I hate about 5 stay hotels is that they leave a lot of nice water, snacks and booze in your hotel room. All of that takes real estate in the room and makes you hungry. All of those cost outrageous amount of money (little bag of chips is $12). They advise you not to use the mini bar fridge for cooling personal items… so basically no fridge in a 5 star hotel. Thanks! The shower looked expensive and covered in gold. But it was shaking because one of the two screws connecting it to the wall was missing. The water was also bursting from the middle of it leaving less pressure to the water you can use. There was a lot of disguising dirt and greasy bags of peanuts behind the nightstand. I had to reach there to disconnect the alarm that started screaming at 6am…

A very comfortable hotel in downtown Washington. All the right and useful places nearby. Excellent interior both in the common areas and in the rooms. The rooms themselves are large and light. Surprisingly polite and diligent staff!

The hotel is of the highest standard. This is a historic place, the hotel is more than 200 years old. The rooms are chic, high quality is felt in everything. It was this hotel for me that confirmed that Washington is beautiful and great. In 10 minutes walk to the White House. Also from there is the Capitol. The guys at the reception are very friendly, and in general all the staff are professionals. On the ground floor is a bar with portraits of personalities who stayed here (Abraham Lincoln, Mark Twain, Charles Dickens and many others).

A must see. So close to the White House you can wave to the first lady! While the accommodations and rooms were spotless as well as the lobby being breathtaking, the food was lacking in quality. We ended up ordering Uber eats the last two nights instead: it was cheaper and much tastier. $14 for a soggy bagel and $25 for microwave lasagna plus a $5 delivery charge and required 18% tip… I'll pass.

Something is strange when a hotel of this caliber installs a roomsafe that removes 75% of the closet space. Look closely at the photo. The safe is just under the hanging bar used for your clothing. Many of the rooms are this way. (However the suites have plenty of space to hang up your clothing. ) So unless you have reserved a suite, expect to live out of your suitcase. Nice hotel otherwise, however for the price: Do you really want to live out of your suitcase?

Was a wonderful experience… Loved the bar downstairs in the lobby. Rooms were great. The only issue I had was a couple of bug bites we believe from the robe. So just make sure you ask for a new clean one. Other than that Wonderful. The young lady at the front desk done everything in her power to get us a room last minute.

The hotel is conveniently located downtown near the monuments and the White House. The bar is professionally staffed by very accommodating bartenders. The circular bar known as the Blue bar holds about 15 persons at the bar with table seating for about the same. Drinks are excellent and you are provided with complimentary snacks (spicy nuts mix).

Was there for a wedding. The place is steeped in history. Some areas of the hotel still hold the feel of the past — such as the Round Robin bar. While the event and reception areas seemed light and elegant… and more modern in interior design. The staff was also professional and on point. If you're attending a wedding here, highly recommend coming early enough to grab a drink at the bar and stroll through the lobby.

My family loved staying at the Historic Willard Hotel. And just steps away from a wonderful walk around DC! We can't wait to return soon.

Breathtaking beauty in DC. This is how I have always described this landmark property. Just steps from the White House, the hotel features amazing architecture, amazing details and top notch service. Gusts are warmly greeted and enjoy amazing customer service and attention. Steeped in history, visitors can enjoy walking the same halls that the notable, quotable and distinguished have in days past and present. Not to be missed.

Com Booked a room on there and they had the best rates around… The location of the Intercontinental Willard hotel is perfectly located for your visit to the DC/Capitol area. This historic hotel is absolutely stunning with spacious rooms. Most rooms have 2 double queen beds a desk and a casual chairs and table as well as a desk. They offer turn-down service as well. 50" LG TVs in every room (unfortunately they don't offer movie rentals which was a bummer for the kids). Free in room coffee and tea and some rooms include breakfast. Breakfast at the cafe is excellent, although prices are high as in every hotel. The offer valet parking service and indoor parking. Most attractions and museums are located within walking distance. The White House tour is just 1/2 block away! Perfect! Although the toe was a big disappointment (I will post a review under that header later). I recommend the Willard if you can afford the extra $'s.

Great place, beautiful, breakfast is a unique experience. We have been there three times no disappointment, a place laden with history of the USA for those who like of course. To recommend for lovers of beautiful things. A very reasonable price, in short perfect what. A few steps from the White House and the National Museums of the Smithionan Institut.

Was there for a wedding. Staff was incredibly friendly and worked hard to meet the needs of guests. Fantastic venue for a high class wedding. The on-site bar was also a great experience. Worth a stop or stay, can't speak for the rooms however.

We stayed here at a Saturday night. The atmosphere is just grand: the lobby, Round Robin Bar, and the Peacock Gallery — warm colors and lots of soft light. The rooms were terrific — large, clean, and stylish. The gym was OK but the sauna great. And the best part: the Round Robin Bar!

It is true that the bathrooms are a little small but it is also true that it is one of the most beautiful and oldest in Washington! And the staff is efficient and polite and always helpful!

Rooms are clean and well-appointed. The staff is very friendly. The lobby was filled with flowers and smelled like lillies as we walked through. Lovely evening.

I've been to a few conference receptions here, but have never stayed in the hotel. This review is only of the hotels conference / reception services from the attendee perspective. The lobby and ballrooms are really beautiful. Incredibly ornately decorated but very tasteful. Service is excellent. Staff was very attentive and welcoming, answered questions clearly. It's a very convenient location: close to offices, metro, restaurants, and other conference locations like the JW Marriott.

I am thoroughly impressed with the service, the food and the cordiality of the hotel attendants. Our room was very attractive as is the hotel in general and we particularly like the size of the room. I left an accessories bag filled with items in the room when I departed, after arriving home and discovering that I left it, I called the hotel and here we are several days later and the bag has been returned by FedEx with everything in it. The Willard is truly exceptional! I highly recommend it!

Once again, we stayed at the Willard hotel was very enjoyable. This building is a great witness of the history, and it is a happy thing in the architecture. Management is very friendly, professional and efficient. In previous stay, we lived in Woodrow Wilson suite, with a connected rooms and 10 floor below there is a presidential suite. Both are very comfortable and are maintained in a good state.

I was attending afternoon tea with friends. The location was in a hallway, which seemed a little unusual, but there was great people watching, plenty of privacy for our table discussions, and excellent service. Tea and associated food were delicious.

The Willard is a landmark DC hotel. I was there for a professional conference. The facilities are beautiful and the food was excellent.

Expensive, but worth the investment — in return you get a memorable and pleasant experience. For example thr live harp music was a nice touch, outstanding service too. Will definitely visit again.

Experience San Francisco like a economic quick hotel, The Hilton Washington, D. C. African international was a big surprise, the rooms are beautiful, the architecture and historical sites, let me rejoice in half a day. Less good locations, the hotel entrance is not barrier-free access, and Luggage to carry up the steps. In addition, in room dinning, the steak sucks, I want the five results for a well done, the chef was able to understand where I push all the jerky feeling… however, as an accommodation, use the hotel, I was very pleased with this.

Two blocks from the White House and lots of history. Martin Luther King Jr. Worked in his I Have Dream speech here. Battle Hymn of the Republic was written here. The origins of "lobbying" is said to have started here. Our two double beds for our family of four was in a spacious room with a large bathroom. Stayed here for July 4th and retreating back to the hotel among the 1000s of people was nice.

Processed an Order and Product for this Company, they received the Printer, never used the printer, RMA'd the printer, then returned the printer along with Leaving our organization Negative feedback without any cause or any reason. Product came back. They never used the product and left us negative feedback. Amazing.

The room was nice, no big deal but still nice. The lobby is wonderful, the location is great to get to and from the National Mall and the history of the hotel made it a great place to stay.

My mission's group had lunch in the outdoor cafe. The salad that I had for lunch was very good but $14.00 for a simple chef salad and water was to expensive. I not trying to be cheap or anything but some of us don't have a lots of money.

This review is for the Peacock Alley Tea at InterContinental The Willard. If you've read some of my other tea room reviews, you'll know that I am a huge tea drinker/lover. I've been to Tea Cellar, Empress Lounge, Lady Camellia, and The Grille at the Morrison House for tea, and I have always wanted to add Peacock Alley to that list. The way some people guzzle coffee in the mornings is how I feel about tea. I've heard of the Peacock Alley Tea at the InterContinental The Willard for quite some time and this afternoon, I was able to come here with my boyfriend for afternoon tea. First of all, Peacock Alley is aptly named. All the tables are literally in this long hallway of the hotel, meaning guests and passersby will walk back and forth. To me, this was not the ideal afternoon tea situation. I could not fully relax with all these strangers coming by minute after minute. I wish they had their afternoon tea in a dedicated room and not as if it was an afterthought, like having a drink in a waiting room. Secondly, food was average. Maybe my expectations were high, given that it is the Willard, but I was thinking some quality tea sandwiches and pastries to go along with my tea. That was not the case. It was edible, but not what I would see as the "Crown Jewel of Pennsylvania Avenue" quality.

Hands down, the best place to stay in D. C. Superior customer service and extremely convenient location. We bring a group of 100 here annually and they have always met our expectations and then some! Near the W for cocktails at night, too.

A must-do DC holiday experience. The Willard hosts carol singers every night at 5:30 leading up to the holidays. Grab a drink at the hotel bar and set up in the beautifully decorated lobby for the show — staff was passing trays of christmas cookies the night I attended.

I was a regular visitor in the 90's and early 2000's. I had always rated it 5 stars. I have conducted more business here than I have in various office buildings in the District, and I consider the Round Robin Bar (as historic as it gets) to be my personal domain. All that being said, I think times have changed here. It is still a lovely property and very comfortable, but on a recent, non-stay visit here (again, using the Round Robin) it is starting to show some age and is in need of updating. If you can, request a room fronting on Pennsylvania Avenue as you have wonderful views of the Mall if you are high enough. The rooms do command a premium and I do not think you will be disappointed with the other rooms. The ones in front are my favorites. I am especially fond of the Concierge Desk as they have arranged some marvelous events for me when the need arose. If you are a regular here, they will go out of their way to remember you and your preferences. I always admire the job they do. The restaurants are better than average, but they ought to be for what they charge. I cannot say anything bad, I just cannot rave about them, either. You cannot beat the location for most business venues in the District and I do highly recommend the hotel. No life is complete without at least one stay here.

A 5 star historic Washington hotel that is absolutely breathtaking when you enter thru the doors. The details and design of this hotel is mesmerizing. The tea and biscuits at peacock alley is a must do if you are visiting this hotel.

I stayed here about a year ago and loved it! The location is just perfect and easy access to downtown DC. The hotel crew are extremely nice and helpful, the location is awesome with only 9 minutes walk to Dupont Circle, the rooms in the hotel are really nice, well furnished, bed feels good, and besides providing the best price performance ration around Washington DC. Breakfast the next morning was delicious with a wide variety of food to choose from, and InterContinental The Willard Washington D. C. Is a great hotel and will definitely stay here again if the opportunity arises. I love DC.

A true architectural gem in DC, the grandeur of the Willard is a throwback to the history of what inspires DC as the United States Capital. Be blown away when you enter the Lobby by the towering and intricate marble columns and be transported back to a time and place where Abraham Lincoln took refuge from assassination attempts before his inauguration and Woodrow Wilson devised the UN's precursor, the League of Nations. Even if you aren't staying the night, stop by the Hotel's French eatery — Cafe Du Parc for a tea or coffee.

Been a few times now. Absolutely beautiful lobby and great bar. So much history. But. Mediocre customer service, and a pretty bad deal for the quality of the rooms and the high price. If you're looking for great service and swanky rooms and are willing to pay, try the W next door. If you want old DC with a lot of charm and history, this is a great hotel. Would go back if I found a deal.
