Knights Inn Virginia Beach Lynnhaven Inn

Well, the location was great but the bathroom wasn't so good. The ceiling leaked onto the toilet and the bathtub was awful. The room itself wasn't much. It did include a refrigerator which was a plus. The breakfast wasn't good. It was eggo waffles which were dry. Watered down Orange, Apple and cranberry juices. 3 cereals corn flakes, raisin bran and Cheerios or their generic equalivate. I was not impressed overall with the room especially for $200.00.

BULLETS IN TOILET! My husband and I arrived at the Knights Inn Lynnhaven location at Virginia Beach, VA around 4:00-4:30pm on June 2nd, 2018. We received our keys to our non-smoking queen bed room. We opened the door and were instantly greeted with the smell of smoke. We went back to the lobby where we informed that gentleman at the front desk of the smell of smoke in our “nonsmoking” room. He informed us that due to the poor ventilating system the rooms that are supposed to be non-smoking have the stench of smoke in them. We wanted to let him know this information so that when we went to checkout on June 3, 2018 we would not be charge for the smell. We go to our car to grab our luggage and then went upstairs to quickly change. We then headed out and about around town. We arrive back to the hotel around 9:00-9:15pm. I then stood in front of the sink looking into the mirror when I noticed something settled at the bottom of the toilet. My husband and I didn’t bother to look because we just assumed they were cigarettes due to the smell of the room. When we flushed the toilet we noticed that whatever was at the bottom of the toilet were not cigarettes. My husband identified them as 22 caliber bullets. We then walked out of the bathroom and he spotted dried blood on the wall beside the mirror I was originally looking in to. We instantly grab our belongings and place them back into the car. We then walk into the lobby to inform the gentleman of our findings of the bullets.

Really affordable and great customer service. The rooms are a little dated but for the price you get what you pay for. I'd go here again if another concert comes up as it's cheap and still a good quality place.

I booked a non smoking room and unfortunately didn't get one. My room reeked of stale cigarettes and the smell was overwhelming. Not located in the best area. Had some issues with loud music, couples fighting, people lingering in the parking lot, and banging on doors. The cable is all fuzzy as well. Luckily the A. C. Was cold, room seemed pretty clean and wiped down, and shower worked.

Tonight and was a good place to stay rooms for decent it was close to a lot of things so checking out in the morning had a place to go and easy to catch the bus Walmarts nearby is very kind and helpful you are not pestered as it gets close to 11 to see if you're leaving or not which is great I love even leaving early because I wasn't test her to leave by 10

Rooms are extremely run down. Dresser had one drawer completely broken out and not replaced. All staff were very pleasant to deal with.

People were informed and helpful. Very kind and supportive throughout my stay.

If you just need a place for the night this place is fine. But they really need to work on the rooms.

Came in to pillows being dirty so had to have beds changed, but besides that has been a good place to stay. Great location, a lot of restuarants and right across from the mall.

Basic cheap hotel with no frills. It is clean the water is hot and it's in a safe neighborhood close to shopping.

I stayed at this hotel March 24, 2018. We were truly scared that we would leave with bed bugs. Initial appearance was ok at first sight. However, when yours eyes really begin to focus you can see that this place has not been thoroughly cleaned in years. The toilet was disgusting. Did not even sit on it. Shower had black build up along the creases. The tub floor was smudged and there was a bath mat (yuck! ) Literally washed up at sink. Only upside to this hotel was that it was right up the street from the person I visited and did not have to drive to far under the influence in unfamiliar territory. Will never stay here again. I'd rather pay a few more dollars that stay with the Knights again. Almost forgot, the customer service that I received was excellent. He should be working for a more upscale establishment!

Nice hotel. Expected more for my money during the off season.

The rooms are a nice size and the beds are comfortable. They just need to redo the bathrooms because it looks like the tubs are falling apart.

Delivered food to some guys looked like that were in town for work. Nice bunch of guys, decent tip… plus the place they ordered from was close by. No complaints.

I like the room. Staff was very nice and liked the we would get 5dallors back on return of key.

The room I had was nice. The shower looked a little dirty and there were a couple hairs in the bathroom, but other than that the room was clean and didn't seem dirty. It did not smell bad. The beds were comfortable and I searched for bed bugs and didn't find any bugs or signs that they had been there previously. Plenty of towels and washcloths. Active security. Overall I had a nice stay. It was a fairly cheap hotel and I got what I paid for.

I'm in my sixties. I've stayed in hundreds if not thousands of motels and hotels. I have slept in tents and even under the stars in the middle of nowhere. The Knights Inn, Lyndhaven Blvd is by far the worst venue I have ever laid my head. They should rename it, "The Bed Bug Inn. " I woke up at 0330 after feeling something crawling on me. Upon turning on the lights and pulling back the blankets I was greeted with the sight of numerous bedbugs falling off my body. Checkout the photo. Of course I was not able to go back to sleep. When I checked out, the desk manager was of little help. He did apologize. His apology sounded like it was well practiced having been made numerous times. After arriving back home, I discovered I was covered from head to toe with bedbug bites. A week later, they are healing but can still be seen. When I called Knights Inn to request a refund, all I received were excuses, excuses, excuses. People, if this place has the only vacancy left in all of Virginia Beach, I recommend you sleep in your car.

This hotel is over priced for what they over. Rooms are no way maintain by anyone. I would not want to offer this place to anyone. Need to get there act together or close down.

Great bang for your buck! Would stay again if in town.

My fiance' and I just got a room tonight… went in and inspected for bugs and cleanliness. This place stunk upon entering and OMG we lifted the mattress and FOUND BED BUGS. We turned around and got our MONEY back IMMEDIATELY and Left. I hope this helps whoever is thinking of staying there. I wish I could attach the pic of the bug, we used cell phone, took pic and showed manager. It appeared they were familiar of this happening often!

Location was very convenient for our final destination but the condition of this place is BAD. I reserved two rooms several days in advance and requested them to be side-by-side. At check-in, an attendant did not read the instructions and I did not get the requested rooms. The door would not open to my room and once I got in, the overall condition was horrendous. The wallpaper was peeling in the sleeping area as well as the bathroom. The electrical outlet was missing a cover and the bed was pretty bad. The next morning, I had numerous bites on my lower legs. The breakfast was a "JOKE" — — cereal and bagels. Appears that this location rents rooms by the week. Do not suggest staying here.

Room smelled of smoke as soon as we entered. Lady at the front desk made it difficult to check in. The bed is very low (broken). No microwave In the room and the freezer on the fridge needs de-frosting. The in-room safe is very dated (needs key to use). No iron or ironing boards, and rooms could be cleaner. The only good thing is its location. Walking distance from the mall and restaurants.

Staff was very friendly! Room was clean and very affordable! The hotel was only 15 min from the beach and it was within walking distance of malls and restaurants! I would definitely recommend it!

About what I'd expected for the cost. Location isn't bad and I felt safe there. Parking was plentiful. You could do worse for the price and proximity to the beachfront. However, we did find what appeared to be a baby cockroach in one of the beds when we first entered the room.

Horrible hotel. Front desk staff is EXREMELY RUDE! Will hang up in your face repetatively before even saying "Hello". I'm a local and my family came from out of town to stay here for a concert. My cousin left her makeup bag in the room, and housekeeping said they had it but when she left it was 6PM on a Sunday and they said housekeeping has the key to get the stuff. So when I tried to come get it the following week, housekeeping was somehow never there and front desk would not answer the phone without answering then immediately hanging up! When I came to get it, I was told it was not there — — this bag had medications in it that were clearly stolen… The excuse for not having in was that we waited too long to pick it up (5 days) because every time I went housekeeping wasn't there or the front desk hung up on me when I wanted to check to see if they were there I even asked for a note to be left to house keeping to ensure its still be there but was hung up! Not to mention hotel is not only rude, but DIRTY and over priced. There are much nicer hotels in area. Stay away! I will NEVER EVER stay at a Knight's Inn again!

Twice the coffee maker in the room was broken. Staff refused to bring a new one. Staff is extremely rude, and English is clearly not their first language. The smoke detector was hanging off the wall. Wi-fi very spotty, and unreliable, and TV reception extremely poor. Breakfast consists of institutional cereal and coffee. Room furnishings are old, dirty, broken and outdated. Cheap, yes… should be cheaper. Surprised it's not charged by the hour.

Kinda nice, quiet, t. V. Was terrible and the shower curtains leaked but it was nice to sleep peacefully.

The place was basically a step above a roach motel. The price was right. The location was good, eleven minutes from the beach and lots of restaurants around. The service was okay, didn't really see much of them. Seriously though, the hotel needs some serious upkeep.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Place smells, crayons under the bed and there was a dirty wash cloth in the shower. Nasty, nasty, nasty.

Worse place I've ever stayed. Electrical plugs in bathroom area had no juice. Had to use blow dryer and flat iron in sleeping area which had no mirrors and the lighting was terrible. Beer can under the bed and comforter had cigarette burns and looked to be urine soiled. Would never recommend this dump.

Room smelled like smoke, fire alarm detector was hanging off the wall. The shower water was very hot, the rugs were in pretty bad shape, needs better curtains to block the outside light. Would not stay again.

I have never been to a Hotel this bad before in my life the furniture was falling apart sink facet was not even attached to sink there was mold in shower when I went to manager he told me if I did not like the rooms check out and go some where else but he would not refund my money, he and his staff were rude disrespectful and incompetent they should not even be in the hotel business in fact this hotel should not be in business. My rating is wrong it should be a zero but would not let me post less than a one…
