The facility was really nice. However, there were some definite issues during our two night stay. First, they had a guy pressure washing around the front door on a Friday afternoon check in times. Not a huge deal, but we did get sprayed. We were there with a group function. They apparently double booked our meeting room so we were told one room, then it was changed to another. Still, not a huge deal. We were told we could check in at 1:30, then told we would have our keys at 3pm. We finally got ours at 4:30, and another family in our group was still waiting. Since dinner was at 5, we just had time to drop off our things and go. Still, I’m not too annoyed. After all, things happen. However when there was a faulty fire alarm going off from 11:30pm to 1 am, that’s when I’m aggravated. I waited about 30 minutes before calling, but then it still took them an hour to get it shut off. The next day, we had to be up early and was exhausted. I called the front desk early to let them know our toilet wouldn’t stop running and to ask for towels since we didn’t need a full maid service. Then, at 4pm, I had to call again about the toilet and track down a housekeeper to get towels. We wouldn’t have even needed towels, except for the poor design of the shower. It’s a step in one with a glass door, and there is no barrier at the bottom to stop water from flowing out into the bathroom. After our showers, we had to use the towels to mop up all of the water. All in all, we had a good time, but I would be very upset had we paid for it. Luckily the group we were with paid, so that was nice. The buffet style food we were served was pretty good overall, but the “coffee express” place that was advertised online is nothing but a few coffee pots that were empty most of the time. I thought it was going to be like a mini Starbucks were you could order a latte or cappuccino, but nope.
