The restaurant was amazing and some of the best food I've had! Make reaervations. The Pond House rooms are considerably outdated — think 1983 — to add to that we had a dehumidifier in our room. Perhaps the main house has nicer accommodations. Sunday morning breakfast was only 1 hr and did not start til 830. Cannot comment on that. Very beautiful setting, but disappointing.

The Maple Hall inn is a collection of gorgeous old buildings. The restaurant had a really cozy, lived in feel. The staff was extremely nice and very attentive to everything we needed. I really enjoyed the food we ordered and the chef came out to check on us and make sure everything was delicious. I would recommend stopping by here for dinner if you get the chance. I plan to stay overnight here sometime in the future.

Beautiful rooms. Professional and personal service. Breakfasts and dinners were fantastic. Cheryl, the innkeeper, is exceptional. Our favorite place to stay when visiting Lexington.

Checked in this afternoon for a night at our FAVORITE place in Lexington (next to VMI! )! Celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary a few days early… sitting on the 3rd floor balcony rocking chair in 60+ degrees sunshine! This place is AMAZINGLY peaceful & cozy… dinner in the resturant tonight after watching the parade at VMI! If you have a chance to stay here DO! Thanks, Steve &Rita Hunt.

Called late at night from the road asking if they had a room available. Without hesitation they said "Come on in and we will take care of you. " Within minutes, the folks at Maple Hall made sure this weary traveler had the most restful night sleep in a quiet, luxurious room. Just imagine what they can provide if you give them more than five minutes warning at 1am. In an age of stale cookie-cutter chain motels, Maple Hall is like Grandma's home-baked cookies.

This was a very charming BnB. We stayed in a mansion suite. Great service and they attended to our every request. The room was comfortable and mostly clean. The breakfast was very high quality and definitely one of the better ones we've had at a BnB. Overall, we were very impressed and this is our new go-to whenever we visit Lexington in the future.

I can not begin to state in words how wonderful our experience was at Maple Hall Inn. We had a weekend party with 25 friends. The staff was unbelievable in every way! The inn was clean and tidy and the staff moved beds around to accommodate all our special requests. We had a lovely hour of appetizers and drinks out on the patio and then a delicious surf and turf — shrimp and filet mignon dinner with all the extra side dishes. The meal was perfect and we have some world travelers in our group. The entertainment was beyond perfect for our group and all 25 of us were singing and enjoying the evening! The buffet breakfast was ready early the next morning and also delicious. A special thanks to Justin, Steven Cheryl, Mom and Dad and all the rest of the staff. We continue to reflect on the great memories. God Bless you all and the Inn!

Stopped by to give our kid fresh air during a road trip and they treated us like family. They offered us food and drink, even a cold washcloth and insisted our girl stick her feet in their pool to cool off. If this is how they treat non — paying people with a carsick kid, imagine how they treat their customers. Would love to have stayed for dinner!

I went here for my first anniversary weekend with my husband, and we couldn't be happier with the experience we had! The home has an amazing history, but has been beautifully restored. We loved relaxing on the back patio at night, it was so peaceful. The housekeeper was friendly and welcoming. The breakfast each morning was delicious. All of it made our weekend perfectly romantic and memorable. We'll definitely be returning to Maple Hall Inn again!

Me and My family went to lexington to get away and spend some quality time together before my wife had to deploy and let me tell you that it was the perfect the house was amazing and the room we stayed in was roomy and homey. The Breakfast was amazing it was tasty and filling with a good variaty. And I think the best thing about the Bed and Breakfast was the staff. I would recommend this B&B to any one and we will be back when the rest of my family comes up to visit and a special shout out to the innkeeper chelsea and the owner for making us feel like family.

The breakfast was the best we have ever had. Definitely would go back. Very relaxing and enjoyable.

The Maple Hall Inn is a fabulous place to stay if you are traveling anywhere near the southern Shenandoah Valley area: Lexington, Natural Bridge, Route 11, Staunton, Lynchburg. Location: The Inn is located right off the Route 11 and Interstate 81 junction near Lexington. You can take either 81 or route 11 to Lexington in the South or Staunton to the North. Just 3 miles down the road is Devils Backbone outpost and Beer Garden where you can enjoy delicious craft brews and take a tour of one of the regions greatest breweries. Not into beer? There's also Lexington's Coffee Roasters just a few miles away. Stay: Peaceful! The Inn staff is friendly, informative, willing-to-help, but they do realize you are there to enjoy the stay and give you your space. My fiance' and I stayed in the "Pond House" although being built in 1989 it does not detract from the History of the Inn. All around our room there were decorations and pictures that seem relevant to the era in which the main home was built. The rooms were clean, the A/C worked, the bathroom was well stocked (even with pre-pasted tooth brushes), and around almost every corner was Keurig and snacks (fruit, cookies, chips). Breakfast: We all know one of the real differences between B&B locations is how the breakfast is handled. Maple Hall Inn's buffet breakfast delivers with high quality, high diversity, and beyond delicious food.

My boyfriend and I had the most wonderful experience here. We took advantage of the excellent Groupon deal and stayed for my birthday in the Guest House. It was a truly great place to get away from D. C. The breakfast is PHENOMENAL and the innkeeper, Heidi, makes sure that you're well taken care of. I would book again for the hospitality alone. It's only about a 10 minute drive from historic downtown Lexington and is five minutes away from a fantastic drive-in theatre. Such a wonderful place. Can't wait to stay there again.

We stayed at Maple Hall this pass weekend with another couple and were in the Guest House part of Maple Hall. What a beautiful place, I can't say enough about the rooms they were all period and historical and just so peaceful and relaxing. The Innkeeper Heidi could not have been more friendly and helpful along with the staff. The Breakfast was OUT OF THIS WORLD. If you are up lexington way do yourself a favor and pick staying at Maple Hall Inn in any of the rooms. I promise you that you will love it.

My husband and I just stayed at Maple Hall this past weekend, and it was fantastic! Heidi and the other staff members were amazing and truly made the stay as great as it was. Everything we could have asked for was provided, the pond house we stayed in was beautiful, and the breakfast buffet was AMAZING! I recommend the sausage gravy, it was the best. In addition, the balcony off the pond house was the perfect touch to finish off a relaxing weekend. Whether you're looking for a relaxing weekend getaway, or somewhere unique to stay while you explore Lexington and Rockbridge county, the Maple Hall Inn is the perfect location!
