Came to visit a guest. The room was clean and modern. I enjoyed the couple hours I was there.

The perfect place for any gathering or event! It's so clean and the staff is amazing!

Great staff and very clean rooms. Close to several amenities and relatively close to the area's attractions.

The suite was spacious. We were surprised at how much space there was. The little kitchenette was clean with just enough storage. The entire suite was extremely clean. The bathroom had plenty of towels. We came with our kids and having plenty of towels is great.

Under renovations now. But the welcome is good! Waffles are the best part of breakfast. No so for the eggs. Hashbrowns aren't bad and fresh fruit salad is good.

Was given a smoking room. It did not indicate on the website that the room I booked would be a smoking room. It smelled terrible. The hotel told me they had no other rooms available and offered me room spray. Had I known all they had was this smoking room ibwpuld have stayed elsewhere. Also bulb in hotel room were dead so lighting was poor and air conditioner nevwr got room cooler enough.

I booked a room, king non smoking, and when I arrived I received a queen smoking with no other rooms available. The staff was polite and it’s not completely their fault, fine. Get to the room and the hallway was under construction no numbers on the doors, I figured it out. The room smelled awful and it kept me up. My clothes stunk in the morning but I was given a can of febreeze. Not my worst hotel experience overall and I’m ok with that. The part that really annoyed me was the 40 min survey. I took time and was detailed about my stay and how nice the staff was under the circumstances. I detailed everything that I could think about at the time. Hilton replied and says we understand you weren’t happy about your stay please reply and explain what happened. Get your stuff together Hilton and quit wasting my time. And now I’ve wasted yours and I’m sorry.

Very clean hotel. They have great breakfast, friendly staff, very accommodating, delicious cookies in the evening available to guests. The beds are comfortable. I can't find one negative thing to put here. Bravo!

I was very pleased with the cleanliness of the entire facility. My room barely had a place that had not been gone over. The entire staff was friendly and more than accommodating. I was surprised to see it was rated a two star. Accommodations is not what makes a place a 5 star hotel. Its the people. And the stars in this placed shined. Something does not always need to be great to be good, sometimes it just needs to be clean. And that is what most people want when they are away from home, to feel clean. Thanks to all for making my stay the most pleasant in a long time. And a special thanks to housekeeping.

The staff was friendly and cordial. Breakfast was good and had lots of choices. The only thing was that Our room was a little dirty. We found a lot of not short but long strings of hair behind the bathroom door and tub. Furniture didn’t make sense the way they layout tables (too many) and chairs, it makes the room look smaller. Also, the Main Street entrance looks creepy and dark, a couple of lamppost would help to make it bright and less confusing to get into the hotel.

Bed was comfortable, room was clean, (hot) breakfast was a hit or miss.

The facility and rooms are clean and the staff is pleasant and helpful.

Went There For A Kids Birthday Party It's Nice and Clean. The Room You Rent Is Enough Space To Hold Bout 50 Maybe 75.

It was a little scuffed up, but we'd stay again. There were some minor issues with our room 220, but the overall product and services were good. Nothing to write home about good or bad. Seemed overpriced for the current condition of property.

Climate control was not good in the rooms. All public areas had heavy smoke aroma. Very uncomfortable pillows. Location and staff were good.

Nice clean hotel with good rates, a pool, fitness center and continental breakfast. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Overnight stay, Don't get the 2nd floor on back side of hotel. Only view was rooftop AC unit. Elevators dirty and wet from kids using the pool. On the morning we were leaving elevator on first floor not working… elevator buttons broken. Thankfully only there for 1 night. Food for breakfast marginal. So much for being a Hilton honors member.

Excellent customer service. Rooms are clean great extras.

They are pretty good, have a exercise room and a 5 foot pool and coffee all day but the cookies they have are only at the front desk 1 or 2 times a day and not for long at all, which is my biggest complaint since I've got kids and I wish the breakfast was there till 10:30am instead of 10.

Great experience! I'm from North Carolina been coming to Smithfield for over 10yrs and this my 1st time saying at the Hampton inn… would recommend to all of my friends and family!

Customer service was excellent, room was very clean. They had a pool, smallish but wasn't crowded. I'd definitely stay again!

Place was clean. Service was fine. All around a good experience. No complaints.

The hallway we stayed in smelled like smoke which was a turn off for me. Rooms were pretty clean. I thought the beds were very hard.

Really nice place, clean like-new and great breakfast and friendly staff. Neighborhood is nice and quiet. Plenty of stores nearby, including food and big box.

Thank you so much Hilton/Hampton Inn for not accepting my universal Visa gift Cards when trying to make a reservation to your hotel. These gift cards were a gift to my husband and myself to use for a get away after a horrific year last year. But to be told I can't use my gift cards as payment is beyond upsetting. I talked to numerous agents, customer service reps, managers… etc and nobody seemed to care about the situation and acted like I was third rate and my business was not needed. We used to love the Hilton/Hampton Inn (in fact we stayed there many times when we traveled to Hawaii for business) but we will never stay in another one again.

Good hotel. Accidentally booked a smoking room but they were able to change it for me and called back just before I was looking to cancel and try my luck with another hotel. Rooms were clean and had no issues. Would go back again.

The hotel is set back from the main road and the sign is a bit difficult to see. The hotel itself though, is a beautiful place and the room we stayed in looked pretty new. I would stay here again.

Room description should be clear whether room is smoking or not. Front desk worked a miracle and was able to switch us later. Would stay there again.

Local power outage, but Hampton dealt with in an excellent manor.

Great hotel and prime location.

The room was nice with the exception of hair from previous guests on the bathroom floor, a broken shower handle, and peeling band on the shower had mildew on it. The staff was pleasant and check in was quick.

Overall it was a nice hotel and friendly service the only issue was low water pressure in the shower.

Wonderful hotel to stay at. Loved the attention and the detailed cleaning and impression they leave to guests. Loved the complimentary cookies they always have. Nice and warm. I enjoyed the fitness room as well.

Nice place to stay on your way to the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The hotel is under staffed, so you have to be patient. We ordered a roll-away when we checked in, around 7:30 pm, and it didn't arrive until after ten. I later found out they were hosting a large family reunion with only two staff members (front desk and maintenance).

Great hotel, great value, great service — BRANDY is a gem! She's amazing, best service I have ever received traveling. Rooms are beautifully appointed and breakfast (free) is hot and such a perk! Thus should be a 3.5 star hotel undoubtadly! Brandy should be promoted to training and development for al Hiltons properties.
