1st time at New Point this weekend. Absolutely beautiful site. Everyone was so amazingly friendly. Everyone you pass by speaks or waves the staff is awesome. Thus is my new favorite place to camp.

New Point is a great family oriented campground. It's well maintained and has a beautiful beach. The bathrooms and bath houses are clean. The management and staff are very friendly… as well as the seasonal campers. The campsites are nice as well.

This place is absolutely fantastic! the people are so nice and welcoming. I've been here less then 24 hours and I've been given food, entertainment, and great memories… I'd recommend this to anyone and everyone.

My family and I stayed over the weekend for the first time and had a wonderful time. Everyone was very nice. Bath house was clean so was the park. Can’t wait to come back!

The campground is family fun, with a beautiful beach, the people who work here are very friendly and helpful. Great place to camp.

My review is a little different than others. I have never actually stayed there. My family and I made reservations for the Memorial Day weekend but the resort canceled due to Covid — 19. I called 4/16 to request a refund and was told it would be 3/4 weeks due to them having to mail a refund check. 5/19 I called and left a vm inquiring about my refund since I hadn't received it yet. No call back. 5/20 I left another vm. No return call again. 5/21 I actually spoke to someone and was once again told it would take 3/4 weeks. I advised it had alreast been 4 weeks. Was told they would resubmit the refund request. Today 6/11, I email the resort once again about my refund. Received an email back stating since they had to mail a check it would take 6/8 weeks. Which is totally different than the previous 2 time frames. Today is 8 weeks from my original refund request (4/16. ) Unfortunately I will never get the opportunity to leave an actual review of my stay since this experience has had such a negative outcome. The resort looks really nice but my customer service experience has been anything but positive. Will I ever receive my refund?

I don't recommend Newpoint RV campground, Very Disrespectful people.

What a wonderful weekend at New Point! We had a variety of activities offered from crafts to potlucks to live incredible music. This is definitely a place to check out! Beautiful beach and very attentive staff.

Very nice place to camp if you have an RV or you can rent one that’s already there. Great place for kids to go to the beach, water is always nice and not deep at low tide. Have a swimming pool, fishing, kayaking, canoes, marina if you have boat. Great place to relax and come to for a weekend.

I've been coming here all my life and I love it! The new owners have changed quite a bit (they aren't new anymore). Decently sized pool, beach, good boat dock, and very friendly staff make this place a wonderful stay. Golf cart rentals are pretty high though. Of course you can bring your own though.

I was very disappointed with our stay at New Point during the week of July 4. Our family was placed in the middle of residents that have been there greater than 8 years. The space we were put in had dog feces on the site which we had to move before being able to pull in. The "neighbors" had built a golf cart pad on the site that we had been placed on, making the tiny spot even smaller. The street where we set up our camper had a block party where the residents were invited, the streets was coned off, and the picnic tables were placed in the middle of the road. The rules at the pool are NOT followed and when brought to the attention of the management staff, nothing could be done as they socialize with the people who are breaking the rules, while the rules are being broken (regarding No glass and NO alcohol in the pool). There were no less than 8 soiled band aides one particular morning, in the pool area. The beach is nice IF you can find a spot. The residents do set up their canopies and leave them as well as leaving their blow up toys and water crafts in the water at all times, anchored down. This lends to an over all "your in my neighborhood" feel.
The rentals at the dock are excellent and the gentleman that works there is a very helpful person. The canoes and kayaks are very reasonably priced.
The bathhouses need drainage help but most places have some trouble with that problem at some point.
We do not have plans to return to this location.

We took our new to us camper here for our 1st trip and had an awesome time! Friendly staff and campers. The only 2 things I can think that could make it better is if they had more umbrellas at the pool and if they sold ice at the general store. Will definitely be back!

We visited my wife's parents for the day and had a great time. The facilities were clean and the staff did a great job in making us feel welcome. Two members went above and beyond in politeness, courtesy, and professionalism. Nice place to be.

We drove in for a our first ever camping excursion to find the campground had been hit by a terrible storm which uprooted trees, and left the area with no power. Despite having pulled up moments after the storm, the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They immediately contacted their sister resort on Gwynn’s Island and secured a spot for us their. Although we only saw a glimpse of the campground the pool and playgrounds looked nice and I can’t say enough about how amazing the staff is! Thank you for taking such good care of us! We will definitely be back.

I have been coming here since I was a kid and now my kids love it.

No 50 amp service and management doesn't always do what they say they, re going to do. Overnighters have more amenities then seasonal campers do. Has some good things going for them but not enough. Constant electrical outages, pretty bad when people come to spend the weekend and bring a generator with them. Money spent on things that don't amount to a hill of beans could better be spent upgrading electrical system.

Cute place right in the bay. Playground is a bit outdated, but nice pool and beach.

Spent Memorial Day Weekend (2018) here. It was our 2nd stay in 10 months. Overall, not overly great, but not the worst we have been in. The good: Great beach (little kid safe), good marina, seemingly friendly campers and very friendly ground and marina staff. The so-so: We reserved a pull-in site, but ended up with a back-in site. While disappointing that we didn't get what we paid for (reserved) we were happy with the site we got as it actually gave us more privacy. The Staff in the store is OK. A couple of them were lost when we asked questions, so we learned quickly who to go to if we wanted a correct answer. Playground for kids isn't very exciting. Anyway, it has been taken over by the "tweens" who weren't overly friendly to the little kids who wanted to play because that interrupted their "tween coolness". More than 4 kids that my boys met, around ages 7-9, felt bullied away from the playground by the older kids. The bad: limited cell reception, especially AT&T. We had no connectivity (phone, text, email or data) anywhere on the campground. Not their fault. They offer "Wi-Fi", but the password we were given didn't work. We figured if they could not give us the right password, then why bother? Restrooms were a constant mess, and smelled terrible. They were always out of paper towels. The showers we're never clean and always full of sand.

If you call 8 hours of no electric and no ac on the hotties day of the year so far and being eaten alive by the mosquitoes fun then this is the place for you.

Advised of late check in and arrangements were made. But they did not follow them. We arrived and did not know what to do. Later a new employee who did not know what to do had to guess. In the morning we had to move. Poorly organized campground…

First time to vacation here. Staff was nice and helpful. Loved the views of the water. Can't wait till next year will be going back.

Great campground, we've been coming here since I was born. Ownership has changed hands a few times recently, but the current owners are doing a good job.

NOT a resort, despite the name. There are not any cement pads or large RV sites. No paved roads except for the entrance road. I had bicycles on the back of my towed vehicle and was greeted at the gate with, "Are you planning on riding those bikes after dark? If so, all bikes need a headlight. We sell headlights at the store. " Here's the kicker, the bikes that they rent DO NOT have headlights and people ride them very late into the night. There is a very large number of permanent residents sprinkled throughout the campground. Almost all of the permanent residents have foyers and decks built onto their campers giving the place a very "trailer park" feel. The pool was clean, but it was the smallest pool I've seen at a campground. Sites are on the small side; they like to pack them in. I would say its a below average campground with below average facilities. Their advantage is their beach, that's it. Without the beach their just another below average campground. The people and employees were nice and we didn't have any problems, but it certainly is NOT a resort.

We love having beach access and the kids really have been enjoying the pool and kiddie pool. Staff we have encountered have been super helpful and friendly. We had trouble getting our camper in our site and Glen took great care of getting us situated. We've met lots of seasonal campers who absolutely love it here. I'm sure we will be back again, especially to see the Full Moon from the beach!

The first thing I noticed was the location. It's far out of the way of the day-to-day drive in traffic — love that. You are greeted at an unassuming entrance with a small front office. We had a problem getting into our site with our travel trailer but the staff came to our rescue. Everyone is super friendly, and as helpful as any place we have been. Rates for add-ons like golf carts or pedal carts are kind of high, but the grounds are well-maintained and are very welcoming so you may not even want or need to use them. It's a short walk to the beach at the bay, and I was very impressed. The staff take the time to clean the beach of debris that washed up overnight. Haven't been many places and actually take the time to do this. The pool is also very nice. There's a 18" deep kiddie pool, and a larger pool for the big folks. There's a laser tag area that I couldn't imagine using. Just walking through there we were inundated by mosquitoes. It would be unwise, I think, to let the kids spend much time in there. There also are a couple of well-maintained playground on the property to keep the kids entertained for a while. Our kids like exploring game rooms while we travel and this one was a big disappointment. Most of the games were not functioning, and the kids were pretty bummed there that there were 8-9 in here and only two were working. They have a small food wagon that prepares fries and burgers and hot dogs, but it's not a substitute for a restaurant.

We own a slot at the resort,. Have lots of great friends,. Resort has its own beach access. With events for kids and family fun. And often has live bands on weekends.

Spent my childhood there over several summers. Will be looking into a more permanent spot as soon as possible. Place was awesome.

Awesome place. Very relaxing fir adults and kids have a ton of things to do. This place.
