Knights Inn Madison Heights Hotel

This is the most disgusting motel ever. From the looks of the outside should have been the first red flag. But it was located close to our destination, so we thought we would give it a try. It has a pool but it looked like you should throw a fishing line in and see what you caught first! I can’t believe this place can even operate as a place of business. The smell as soon as you open the door slapped you in the face like trash can. The bedding was stained, mold in the bathroom shower/tub. The walls looked like someone had been killing bugs with a fly swatter and just left them there. The trim around the door looked as if it had been broken into several times. Not suitable for a homeless person. Needless to say we checked out faster then we checked in. P. S. Not 1 star worthy just had to rate to publish my review.

Rooms are the cheapest around but you literally getting what you pay for small rooms with no good service, the rooms are very filthy from the beds, floors, appliances, to the worst part which is their bathrooms. The tub, toilet, sink and walls are very nasty. I suggest that you bring plenty of your own bleach and Clorox wipes to have, it really is a must if you are interested in staying here.

If I could give it 0 I would. The room we were given was filthy. The floors uneven. The walls had cuts and tears in the wall paper. The bed covers had cigarette burns. The sheets had stains, or I hope it was a stain and just not filthy. There was stuff on the floor like it hadn't been vacuumed. There were children's toys under one bed and a wadded up dirty rag under the other. The door to the room was almost impossible to open and when it finally did it fell down some bc I guess he hinges were off. You could see outside around the top of the door. The AC unit had black stuff in it. One of the chairs cushion was torn and had foam exposed. The bathroom door looked like it hadn't been wiped off in decades. There was a dead bug in the door hinge. The washcloths were stained, so we're the towels. The ceiling in the bathroom had plaster falling off. And the bathtub was dirty and looked overly repaired. I only felt safe sitting on the counter. And it was also filthy. I lost $60 on this room trying to have a safe place for my family after this storm tore through our home. We decided to go sleep in the dark home without power instead of risking staying here. Oh and was told absolutely no refund. $60 lost is better than any communicable disease this place was riddled with.

OK hotel but rooms are starting to get run down. They do keep it clean though for an older hotel. No in room coffee. There is a refrigerator & microwave in the room. Coffee in office. TVs are good. Heat & air good.

Very nice people work here. Clean. Convenient. Allowed my pup. Even nice to my dog.

This is the worst dump in which I've ever had the displeasure of staying. I'd rather just camp next time. There would be fewer bugs and much less cigarette smoke. I will have to wash or replace every item I took in that room because of the smell, despite booking a smoke-free room. Bugs were found in pillowcases, on the walls. Tried not to investigate too much because we were afraid of what we'd find. The noise level was significantly disturbing. Think twice before you book this place!

They have the best house keepers I've been going there for 10 year's and the owner is a very nice gentleman. The people up front desk are very nice and everything is coming together on the hotel they are remodeling the whole hotel. The price for the room are very convient, for anyone with a buget. If you need anything they are always available and nice. I will say this it feels like home and that's what matters! Home away from home, defintly the place to get a comfy room:)

Hotel staff is very friendly. The rooms were clean enough. The "continental breakfast" was just coffee and Honey Buns. We stayed here because they were pet friendly and we were traveling with 2 dogs. They weren't worried about dogs size or breed either.

There isn't much good to say about this place. The only positive is that it didn't have bed bugs. The outlets didn't work. The iron was dirty. The entire place was dirty, really. The floor of the shower tub was even squishy, so you know the floor under it is all rotten. The best part was the continental breakfast, though. It consisted of 4 cinnamon buns that looked like they'd been there for a few years. One was even crushed. You can't make this stuff up, and yes I got there early 6:30 am, so it wasn't like it was just all gone. Stay somewhere else.

Its alittle over priced for the quality… we originally got put in a room that the lights didnt work he didnt want to move us until the next night and offered a 5.00 discount gor the next night… said they had no other rooms I asked gor refund then he said hed call someone and move us … the next room was nice but only had two towels and it was my husband myself and two children we called to get more and they said the cleaning ladies were out that day and they had no more clean towels they did allow my husband to go get a key and go down to the other room that we had originally checked into and get those two towels out however we were then had a knock on our door from two cleaning ladies asking trying to locate how they believe we stole we then explained that the guy rented the room to us we had to move and he allowed us to go get the two towels out because we had four people and only two towels so it was just a bit irritating to go through that the pool was decent and I guess overall just a thought $75 was a little much for that place.

Rooms were nice for the price. Continental breakfast consisted of coffee and danish.

Wife and I made reservations from home 9 hours away rate was due to be $100 for two nights and when we arrived they tryed to charge us $224 our stay was only two nights. After I showed him the proof and alittle arguing they adjusted the price. Room and bathroom are not as clean as the picture and the pool was littered with cigarette butts and the water was disgusting. Would not recommend anyone here.

Very affordable and also no e and quiet. The room was cleaner than I had expected beforehand.

Clean but shower drained slow, room had a musky smell. Bed was good slept ok. Did not use pool but looked clean. Nice manager.

This hotel is great when you're on the road and need somewhere affordable to stop and sleep. The rooms are spacious and have a few amenities, but my reason behind only 3 stars is that they could be updated (fresh paint, new fixtures, etc. ) and kept more clean.

Our room was very clean and the mattress was soft and plush, the cleaning lady went out of her way for us each day as she would change our bed sheets and just did a super job in making our room feel comfortable!

Horrible experience, the room had black mold in the shower and covering the bathroom. The door to the bathroom looked like it was covered with old blood stains. Their were BULLET HOLES in our ceiling. We stayed there for 3 weeks and it was 300! A week for a honey bun for breakfast a tiny gross room oh also bug infested and room service would talk badly about you when you let them in your room in a differs language I would not recommend wish I could give 0 stars.

Nasty rooms, I would not eat breakfast here if they offered top steak and eggs here. No coffee maker, no hair dryer, no ironing board. Everything in the room is falling apart. The only NICE thing is the TV… everything else looks like it was donated. Bathroom floors are nasty, showers are nasty… just all around NASTY. Go stay in Lynchburg.

Good location, approximately halfway between the town of Amherst and Lynchburg, with a ~10 minute drive to either. The entire hotel is monitored by cameras. There is a gas station directly across the street, and a fair selection of food within 10 minutes' drive.

Because of my work I stay at many motels and I was very pleased with the quality of the room I was given at this property, along with a very reasonable rate. The staff treated me with the utmost respect. The rooms are clean and comfortable. What matters to me is a comfortable bed, a hot shower, a nice flat screen TV, a good Wi-Fi connection, nice pillows and towels and a micro wave and refrigerator that works properly. I just want to say thank you for a very nice stay.

We and my girlfriend was able to get a room here under short notice. They've been very acommdating and awesome service.

CAVEAT EMPTOR! Disgusted by this motel honestly. The phrase "you get what you pay for is totally inaccurate here. " The rooms were overpriced for graduation weekend and disgustingly dirty. None of the outlets in the room worked. I had to pull the desk out from the wall to find an outlet that did work and discovered how unsafe it actually was. They had used a 6 outlet plug-in in a two plug outlet. The wall light, tv, mini-fridge, and microwave was plugged in this one outlet. When I pulled the desk out, I also found a layer of visible dust behind the desk along the wall with a penny lying there. I left the desk pulled out so I could access the outlet and for the cleaning people to see the dirt. While I was out, the cleaning people must have come in to "freshen" up the room and pushed the desk back without taking any thought to cleaning behind the desk and get that "tip" left behind for them. The vanity light did not work. The shower was nothing more than a slow dribble, little to no water pressure. Shower was dirty. A huge wolf spider was snuggled in the corner of the bathroom floor. I checked for bed bugs. Fortunately, I did not find any. However, when I opened each pillow case and checked the pillows inside, I found a footprint on one of the pillows, which is disgusting especially on a place where you lay your face and head. We arrived on Thursday and stayed two nights. The second night, I went to check in my room and the key didn't work.

I was able to get a room for the night for my fiancee and myself on 3/10/15. The room was not bad. It was clean and we had no complaints. The manager Raj took care of us and was pleasant to deal with. Would stay there again.

I arrived there and it was about a hour before check-in time they told me they were cleaning the room but I could go in. I found the room and the door was open and the maid was in the room beside ours so we decided to just go visit our family and return later so they would be done. We were gone all day. When we arrived back we went inside and ew! I didnt wanna stay there! There was beer bottle tops everywhere, in the bathroom there was vomit in the sink and in the bathtub there was black stuff everywhere! Id rather have just slept in my car! When we checked out the next day I told the manager of what I found in my room. He response "The sink is backs up sometimes. " I know what I saw in this room and I suggest no one go to the establishment. You dont know what you will find in the room after its been "cleaned".

Definitely falling apart. The room was fairly clean except for pet hair on the floor. You cant tell the appliances are old and the wall paper is starting to fall off. The whole place needs a good update. Good price but there are so many other options around the same price in Lynchburg that I don't think I could stay there again.

This is a nice clean place to stay for the price. It has everything you need to be comfortable. It has a microwave and refrigerator in the room and Wi-Fi. The owners are really nice and friendly. The only complaints I have are: 1. The room is dark. There is the main light over the dressing mirror across the room. There are 2 additional lamps both with peach colored lamp shades over 75 watt bulbs. The owner told me that people steal the new 100 watt bulbs which cost $9.00 each. 2. There were only 4 available electrical outlets and 2 outlets were not functional. So, if you just want someplace to sleep, take a power strip with a long cord and 2 screw-in type 100 watt bulbs and you will be all set.

Need new lamp shades. Doors difficult to open.
