Very dirty. Almost denied my service dog. Did I say dirty?

Needed a crash spot for the night on a road trip. Called and talked to a very nice lady at the desk, reserved 2 rooms and when we got there checked in courteously and quickly. Rom was clean and beds were comfortable. Would definitely recommend for a layover stop.

I arrived well after midnight with no plan, not realizing that it was race weekend in Bristol, so that's on me. There was only one smoking room left, and the manager wanted $250 for it. We haggled. The final price was $100, still pretty steep for a rural Econo Lodge but fair on race weekend, I suppose. The room itself was not as good as I expected. There was smoke odor, of course, but something else not smoke that I didn't like. So, too much odor even for a smoking room and that is the main reason for my low rating. The TV was not adjusted properly in that the aspect ratio of the display was wrong and so all channels were "stretched. " There were several burn holes (cigarette) in the bedspreads, but the sheets were clean. AC worked OK. Fridge worked OK. Bathroom worked OK. Lights worked OK. Breakfast area is quite small and there was no room for me to sit, but the food items were stocked and the coffee was good. I ate in the parking lot.

Really not sure why this econo lodge was award winning. WOULD NOT run my choice rewards for my discount, would not make fresh coffee at 9am, but rooms were clean.

Pros — clean room, clean sheets, clean bathroom. Cold fridge and A. C. Nice TV and reception. Good breakfast choices. Nice staff. Easy access to room from car. Cons — floor felt slightly damp as well as bed sheets. Slight odor to room. Suggest checking filter and use some odoban spray for disinfectant and smell goods.

Welcomed by a very nice man, Mr. Patel. The room for the night was reasonably priced. We entered the room 209. There was cold air blowing and so clean. The continental breakfast saved us a stop on the road. I would recommend this place.

It may seem older from the outside, but the room was newly renovated and clean. Very nice place to stay when traveling. Staff was friendly too.

Manager was extremely rude and threatened guest because guest requested to wait on ride in the lobby area. Would not rent room for another night even though virtually every room was vacant. Rooms were unclean — pubic hair in the floor and long blonde hair in bathtub. Avoid this place even if you have to sleep in your car. Doesn’t deserve even one star.

Dirty and dingy. We pulled back the covers and there was big long hair in the bed. Stains on top blanket. Towels were stained so they looked dirty. We stayed in room 214. On the back of the door to the room it looked like old dried blood splattered. It smelled very strong like a deodorizer or spray to mask an odor. There were wet droplets on the chair that kind of looked like oil. Only given 3 pillows… one for each member in our room. Good water pressure in the shower but the drain was so slow that by the end of my shower I was standing in 3 inches of water. The little bars of soap they provide were stinky. A bug was crawling on our desk when we arrived. The breakfast seemed good. Cheap rate. I guess you get what you pay for.

Fair price clean very nice staff.

Don’t let the look of this place or the name fool you. Yep, looks old outside but big king bed rooms inside. Microwave, flat screen TV, refrigerator, and coffee maker. Not bad and a great value.

I thought the price was a bit high compared to the compilation and what they offer.

Great stay great price very clean and the bed was more than comfortable for I and my wife, easily visible from the highway plenty of parking we traveled with a 16' penske truck with a car trailer attached if ever in the area it will be a place I would choose again to stay And that one bad review don't let it fool you, there was no deposit required and the hotel attendant was more than friendly when we arrived at 3am.

We truly enjoyed our stay here at the Econo Lodge. Check in was easy, friendly, warm, and personable. The manager made us feel truly welcomed. The room was clean, big, warm and fresh. The complimentary breakfast was also so convenient, and the perfect start to the day. I would definitely come back the next time we go through the area! Highly recommended!

My boyfriend and I, had a very horrible and embarrassing stay! During check-in time we had to pay $100 security deposit even though we provided a debit card which is a little much. When finally getting to the room they booked us in, the room was freezing cold, and the heater was not working! That morning, during check-out time we were running no later than 10 minutes behind so they decided to take our deposit on top of screaming and cursing us as we are packing up the last bit of our belongings and exiting the room, and then demanding us to pay an extra $40 for being on their property to long after our miserable check-out waiting for our ride to arrive… Very disrespectful!

I was pleasantly surprised with the room, which was clean and in good shape. The bed was a little firmer than I like, but it was great for a quick overnight stop.

The room was perfect… Except for the pillows … Their breakfast was fine but not completely satisfied but I liked it…

It's cheap, friendly and cleanish… what more do you want… The towels weren't as white as I would've like but then again it's cheap… look it's a cool place to crash real quick.

Good place to spend a few nights. Clean and comfortable rooms. The manager Miral was super attentive with our group. Highly recommend this hotel.

Clean room. Clean bathroom. Clean bed. Quiet place to rest and sleep. Has microwave and mini refrigerator. Staff pleasant and helpful. Would recommend to friends for nice place to stay and feel safe.

I stay here to visit my brother and for Emory games a few times a year. Great place. Very nice staff. Never had a problem. Rooms are nice too. =)

Great staff, clean room: reasonable budget accomodations. But towels were small, rough, and some stained. Bring your own towels if you stay here!

Beds sheets were a little small (I'm a larger guy), and the room was missing an iron. On top of that, they only gave us one room key.

Just gonna copy and paste this as my review: Meet Cooper and his human. We met Cooper, 2 retired United States Marines and a couple of their friends last night. Cooper is a Veteran Service Dog in Training. The Marines, their friends and Cooper were in the area hiking the Appalachian trails. They came into town to get a hotel room for a night or two, so that they could shower, rest and because the local forecast said there could be bad storms, heavy rain and winds, with the possibility of hail last night and later this afternoon. They went to the Econo Lodge in Glade Spring, Virginia to get a room. They were denied a room, talked to like trash, told that they did not care that cooper was a service dog, they did not have to give them a room or allow cooper regardless if he is a service dog or not, they did not care that two of these men are veterans who served our country and like many other brave men and women put their lives on the line for all of us to have our freedom. The Veterans AGAIN explained and showed their documentation that Cooper was a service dog in training and that it was against the law to deny them room and board over a service animal. The econo lodge did not care, the employees and manager were rude, talked to these men like trash and turned them away. I want this post to go viral, I want as many people as possible to know once again, here in the country that they fought for these veterans and their service animals are being treated this way.

Family run place that is extremely friendly! Have a military discount and free breakfast. Will stay again!

Super clean, everyone was nice, bed was comfy. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!
