Just had the best experience EVER at a hotel… the staff was extraordinary and they bent over backwards to make our stay the very best! 5 stars across the board!

The entire staff has been fantastic! they were hospitable and kind they made my all 16 of us feel welcome and like family.

Great staff. Beautiful view, you can see the lighthouse from balconies. Wonderful pool along with a fire pit, very nice.

Hands down the nicest people you will ever have the pleasure of meeting. We have been coming for over 13 years and they make you feel like you are at home!

We had a quick check in and the staff is very friendly. The room is set up nice, very clean and lots of outlets including USB ports. The exterior is maintained beautifully including the pool. We had a great time and we will definitely be back!

I love this motel,, the staff is super friendly and efficient,,, The beds are the most comfortable beds I’ve ever slept in,, We stay here twice a year,,, I highly recommend you try this motel,, it’s really in a great location. Within 10 min. Of the beach and any Resturant you want …

The staff here is incredible. Everyone from front desk to housekeeping were terrific and attentive. The location is perfect — close to town and to island. Bike rental across the street, but definitely bring it you have one. Easy ride to very secluded beach access. Pool is nice and amenities are basic but felt clean and well-maintained.

Very friendly staff. Helpful and thoughtful with clients. Rooms are great with reasonable prices, very clean and up to date. Breakfast had a variety to choose from and was hot and ready in the morning. Coffee, tea, and cool drinks available anytime. We enjoyed our stay.

Housekeeping (Miss Dee) was so kind and sweet. Rooms are beautiful. There isn't a bad room in this place. Every room has a patio area or balcony. Everyone is very kind and accommodating. This is the only place to stay for me on the island.

Best Western Chincoteague Island is our family's go to when staying on the island. We come back at least twice a year and this hotel makes the decision of where to stay easy. The rooms are comfortable and clean. The property is close to the park/beach. The service is excellent. You can't beat a view of the lighthouse from the pool!

This hotel is a total gem, the location near the wildlife refuge is ideal we could see the lighthouse from our balcony. The grounds are immaculate and beautiful. The staff is about the best I’ve encountered with their attitude and helpfulness, making our stay a great experience. The breakfast and coffee are very good, and the little things like lemonade in the lobby and warm cookies when we arrived were a treat. They even have a nice patio out front to sit out on in the evening and enjoy. Keep up the excellent job here, Best Western!

This was our first visit to any of the Chincoteague hotels. Best Western has great staff, friendly, efficient. The beds are nice, rooms have good space and are very clean. The only reason we gave 4 stars was the noisy air conditioner unit. Love the balcony! Breakfast was satisfactory given the small space they have, however we liked taking the food to our room, no problem there. It's very convenient to the Assateague causeway. We would stay there again.

Overall, our stay was very pleasant. The breakfast options were a bit limited. They lacked variety and fresh fruit if you got there after 7. And, the walls were a bit thin, we heard every work of our neighbors 6 am conversation. But the front desk staff was amazing, the rooms were very clean, and we had a beautiful view of the light house from our balcony.

We love this hotel! Stayed here at least 4 other times and always enjoyed our stay. The expansion of the breakfast dining room is a huge plus. The people that work here seem to love their jobs and go out of their way to please. I can't say enough good things about this hotel. Love y'all :)

Room was perfect for our family getaway! Very clean and comfortable. Everyone at Best Western is extremely polite and helpful. The pool was perfect after a long day at the beach or biking. We wish we had tried the breakfast, we like to sleep in so we missed breakfast.

The location of this hotel, at the entrance to the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, was perfect for the reason for my stay. It is at the end of the "resort strip" thus, was quieter than in the middle of Main Street. My stay occurred just prior to the Memorial Day weekend which may have contributed to the quieter atmosphere. Several attractions were not yet open, except for weekends. The accommodations exceeded my expectations and appears to have been recently rennovated. The room and bathroom was spacious, clean and comfortable with a private balcony. The rate was more reasonable than other brand hotels on the island. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, providing information about my interests in the area. I highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again myself.

My grandchildren and daughter had a blast here. Their rooms were very clean and my grandchild not wanna get out of the pool. Beautiful facility with easy access to local venues.

Family of 5. The accommodations were wonderful! The rooms were clean and spacious with attached balcony to sit and drink morning coffee. The staff were so very hospitable and kind. For me this Best Western made mine and my family’s stay feel like we were at home away from home. I wish other Best Western hotels would take notes from this one because they could certainly learn a thing or two about how to make a customer’s stay comfortable and satisfactory. Thank you Best Western Chincoteague for and amazing stay. We will definitely be coming back!

It is a great location. About a 5 minute dr to assateague island where you can see the lighthouse and go to the beach. The lighthouse is so close you can see it well and at night you can see it flashing its light. The hotel staff are amazing and nice and are quick to help you find the best spots on the island. The breakfast area is a bit small but there is an outside lounge area you can eat at or trays to take food to your room. Definitely would stay again!

These guys are extremely personable and nice. We love staying here on our island business run. We could not ask for better service and friendships.

This place was so clean, smelled nice and had a phenomenal view! The staff (Kendrick) was top notch as well. We only stayed one night but will recommend to anyone we know going to the area! Great job Beat Western!

Booked the room when I visited Wallops Island NASA facility. It was easy to find the hotel location, right on the main road. people are nice and welcoming. Clean, quiet room with nice sea / natural park area balcony overview. Just be aware that there is no ATM machine in the hotel. Everything else is great.

This resort is part of an anniversary tradition with us, and we have always enjoyed staying here, but our recent visit was by far the most memorable. We were surprised by the resort's renovations since our last stay and loved our spacious, light and airy room. Housekeeping sparkled; maintenance gets an A+ for upkeep, both inside the room and outdoors, including the grounds; our breakfast service was spot on; and the front desk cordial and sincere. We experienced beautiful views of the Lighthouse, the marsh, and the channel connecting Chincoteague and Assateague from our third floor room, and found the heat/AC unit quiet. Upon arriving, we were greeted with chocolate chip cookies at the front desk, and once in our room, discovered flowers, chocolates, and champagne from the staff, wishing us a Happy Anniversary. We had mentioned our anniversary when booking (direct) our reservation, and were touched that they would not only remember, but honor our special occasion. We wore coats to the beach and enoyed ourselves tremendously on Assateague, spotting snow geese feeding on local vegetation and chatting with the rangers at the Visitors' Center. We drove the island and caught the sky colors of sunset, observing cloud patterns reflected in the waters below. There was still one more surprise to come, and that was discovering the Chincoteague Island Diner next door to the resort. We will definitely return, and for a longer stay next time.

A great place to stay in Very comfortable rooms that include a solid breakfast selection. Feel like home after a long day at the beach. Close to all the shops. Excellent swimming pool and rooms on the east end have a beautiful view overlooking the Relaxing and quiet. Guest services are very pleasant and insightful about local activities.

I didn't stay at the hotel but I did take a tour. The rooms are clean and beautiful and huge. The Papa John Suite is the biggest and most beautiful. It boasts a whirlpool bath tub and a balcony with a view of the Chincoteague lighthouse which is STUNNING.

Clean, comfortable and extremely friendly and helpful staff. Very close to the preserve, shops and restaurants. Great value for the money. Good breakfast. Has a family atmosphere.

One of the best hotels I've stayed at. Walking distance from the island. Large clean room with a very comfortable bed. Great bathroom with an extra sink outside. Even has a balcony with chairs.

This is the best hotel I've ever stayed at in this price range. Everything about my stay was fantastic. Loved the bed and pillows (which came with candies on them), the shower had great water pressure and there were power bars on the nightstand for all of your gadgets.

Got a room on short notice. Very nice welcome,. Got to room very clean nice welcome note. Arrived in room 10min we get a check up call making sure everything was good. So far amazing.

My friend and I came here because we wanted to see the ponies. The room we got was well-priced, clean and conveniently located. The complimentary breakfast is really good; we were quite satisfied. The staff was super friendly and helpful. Honestly, I got much more than what I expected. I would definitely stay here again if in this area.

My daughter and I stayed two nights here for a little weekend get away. We thoroughly enjoyed it! Our room was spotlessly clean. Each staff person we encountered was friendly and helpful. The location was ideal — so close and convenient to the wildlife reserve! I would definitely stay here again.

Just great! Good location, nice people, pleasant hotel and good reception area and breakfast. And an excellently designed shower… no floor lip (just drainage sloping), and very easy access for all. Very good for disabled access!

The staff were super kind, especially Joan at the front desk. In fact, every person we came across were so nice. It seemed like they were all super glad we chose to vacation there. The room was clean, the beds very comfortable, breakfast was good with a good selection of food to choose from. The pool was nice also. We would stay here again.

Best Western in Chincoteague is unlike any other hotel that we have stayed in! The employees whether it's the Front Desk, Housekeeping or Maintenance, greet you with a smile and ask how you're doing and do you need anything. The hotel is very clean and rooms are very comfortable. The continental breakfast is delicious and so much to choose from. We have been to numerous hotels over the years and non come even close to what we experience at Best Western Chincoteague! We feel at home when we stay here! Thank you Best Western Chincoteague.

We stayed here with a couple of family friends (4 rooms total) and we had nothing but the best to say about this place! Rooms: Spacious and clean! We got rooms facing the pool on the first floor. It was super easy to go back and forth between swims. Our cars were parked right outside our doors too. Really awesome when you have kids! Breakfast: Good selection. Cereals, pastries, eggs and always some sort of meat. My daughter enjoyed the waffles. The lobby had fruit and coffee 24/7. Staff: Everyone was friendly and welcoming. They were always quick to respond to questions and made transactions smooth. Location: The closest one to the park entrance! There is a bike depot right across the street too. Thank you Best Western Chincoteague. We will be coming back!

It's all relative. This is one of the better places to stay on the island. Rooms are large by island standards, and they are clean in comparison too. Prices are reasonable and we are still on their mailing list for deals and packages. No frills place, just nicely located. If in a big city being compared to typical city offerings, it might be three stars or so. However, it's on Chincoteague Island and we have stayed in the two or three other locations and found this to be just about tops for the area.

The staff at this hotel is great. The breakfast is really good. The rooms are so comfortable. We really enjoyed our stay.

Great hotel; walking distance to the state park. Room was big and bright with a balcony. The exterior entrance into the lobby was very welcoming with tables and chairs, rain chains, tropical flowers (they looked tropical anyway). Check-in/out was easy. Breakfast was no good; eggs were like rubber, biscuits were hard and try. Does not compare to Hampton Inn breakfast. Good thing for a McDonalds across the street and a dinner next door. A bike is a must. We spent most of the time biking around the island and park. Did not use the car much. Remember to bring a lock for the bikes so you can lock-up when you stop somewhere along the way to eat. You can also bike to the ocean. Wonderful time. OBTW — we went off season; November.

I must admit I read some of the other reviews and wondered if they were for the same hotel. My experience of this place is good, the front of house staff were friendly and efficient, making the booking was easy, and the room was nice and clean with a good view. Breakfast is a little basic but despite what some other reviewers have said I found the breakfast staff to be friendly and helpful. The hotel is well located for easy access to Assateague Island and within a short walk/drive of many good restaurants. If you've really come to Chincoteague to ignore the local seafood and eat a McBurger you can get one literally just across the road. The only reason for 4 stars rather than 5 is that during busier periods the prices rise to a point that I'd really expect a better breakfast than the one on offer. That said during those busier periods the hotel is fully booked so obviously there's no need to drop the prices any.

Repeat guest. Lovely hotel! Always a smile and warm cookies at the front door. Very helpful staff. Modern feeling rooms with classic antique touches and a complimentary breakfast in the morning. Just a stone's throw away from the park. Serene sunrises with a view of the top of the lighthouse. If the McDonalds across the street was absent from view it would feel like a resort. Can't wait to stay again.
