Do not stay at this hotel. The daytime manager is completely unprofessional. Housekeeping stole from me and the manager refused to address it. The non smoking floor REAKED of smoke, the rooms were tiny.

Horrible rooms! First room we had the shower floor was falling in and they patched it with some sort of sticker but it was falling it still. Hair every where, dirty, fridge was making squealing noise and and didn’t work. Moved us to new room next day and it’s air conditioner didn’t work they sent maintenance and he said I feel air and walked out! Room again was filthy poop on bathroom walls hair in shower and stains all over blankets! I would never stay here again or at any choice hotel!

Front desk staff very helpful and cleaning staff. Because I'm a choice member they have always given me the best rate possible. Even when the front desk couldn't I spoke to the manager and he gladly accommodated me, especially when he saw I have stayed with them several times. Can't ask for a better staff, Thanks.

There are electrical problems throughout the hotel to which the elevator doesn't work, and improper lighting in the guest rooms. The state and conditions of the guests rooms bedding and bathrooms failed in receiving proper housekeeping. "Management" was extremely rude and unapologetic as I tried providing feedback during my encounter at the hotel. Adding insult to injury improper charges were added to my bank account for an additional nights.

This hotel is a decent place to stay. The room was very small (regular queen room) was very small but was enough room for 2 people. We got a no smoking room but almost the entire hotel smelled like smoke which didn't bother us too much but might bother others. There was not a bathtub but there was a large shower. The room was clean and all of the staff have been friendly.

After being moved to the fourth room, we finally were placed in a decent room. I know you get what you pay for, but this was bad. No other hotels were available in the area, so we couldn’t leave. Mildew on the bed skirts and floor in one room; no AC and working sockets in another; then the sink would not drain in the third. The one star is ONLY for the fourth room that we were placed in.

8===D~ no joke this hotel is concentrated AIDS. Cleanest thing in the place was the toilet. I'm pretty sure it is haunted by the murdered feral cats they put in their breakfast. There were stains on the ceiling and cigarette burns on the bedding. Everything smelled like mold and pee. Lights were all that creepy blue hospital color. The pull out couch didn't have a mattress and the frame that was there was broken and had wires sticking out. The parking situation is absolutely horrible. Making it through my one night stay here brought me back to the light of religion because I was so grateful to have survived. The black and white decor was nice. For real if I could do it again I would have slept in my car in a Walmart parking lot and saved the money and I would have felt safer and less itchy.

Walked into the hotel and it smelt like cigarettes. When we got to the room it smelt like cigarettes and the toilet was stopped up. We called them to come and clean up. They sent someone up after hours and said there was nothing they could do about it. I requested another room and they couldn't. My brother got a room connected to ours and his had blood on the sheets. Dusty and needed to be wiped down. Ill be laying on my blankets tonight. I didn't book this place and will be staying at a different hotel tomorrow.

Friendly staff, good price, decent breakfast that includes some hot items. Rooms are pretty run down though, could use some TLC and new mattresses/pillows.

Icky, gross hotel. Not clean. BED BUGS! I got all bit up as did my nephew. We saw one on the bed & it squished with blood all coming out — nice, another human's blood on our sheets! Disgusting! I prepaid so I couldn't get my $ back. BIG mistake! About 75% of the guests live there & many hang out in parking lot all night drinking, and peeing in the parking lot. Side doors r not locked & this isn't the safest place. Hall floors very dirty, debris left in room/not cleaned well. Pool is NASTY! Cloudy water, slimy on bottom, cracked moldy walls and room never cleaned in 3 days; wet towels, socks, trash & scuzz left all over room. I wish I'd payed a bit more & stayed here I usually do, where I never have these issues. Take my word, this place is gross & clearly the bed bugs have been there a while as I've read reviews from Jan. Of people getting bit & seeing bed bugs. Spend a bit more & stay somewhere else!

I checked into my room and the toilet nor the TV, AC worked and it was roaches in the bathroom so they switched me to another room which was fine until I went to work and came back to find out they changed my sheets which was cool until I started to see bedbugs crawling on the bed so they changed me to another room which wasn't clean at all. So I checked out spoke with the GM David potel and was completely Blaffed by his statement. "Why was I upset with him and the Hotel? He also started that I couldn't get a refund until tomorrow morning because he was go for the night" if you see this hotel please keep going, best case scenario go to a 24 hour Walmart and sleep in the parking lot if all other Hotels are booked.

I. Enjoy my Stay at Sleep inn Hotel. On Western Branch Blvd The. Hotel staff is Excellent The service is outstanding Management is Excellent. All the Employees there are really good people the Rooms are keep very clean. The Hotel is keep in Excellent shape. I really enjoy my stays at this Hotel.

The hotel was very stuffy and had a very strong garlic smell. The room was really warm and there were no towels in the room. The whole hotel looked like it needed a really good cleaning. The paint was chipping in the room. The pool looked very cloudy and dirty. There were also no towels located in the pool area for guests to use after swimming, which would explain why there were wet footprints leading from the pool to the stairs when we came in. When we went to the pool to let my son swim someone had placed a wet floor sign but didn't even try to mop up the water. The hotel was suppose to be no smoking but one of the first floor halls smelled of stale smoke. I would not recommend staying here.

Room was big and clean, just smells. 1 trash can in the room. We was in a handicap room and the shower curtain was to small so water was on the floor when we got out. Room was to sleep 4 people but only 2 towels. So needless to say not the best room for the $$$.

I am so disgusted! Why on earth did I not look at the reviews prior to booking here? Uggghhhh! From the stench of the halls… non-smoking my ass! Then the room… toilet seat up, crumbs, wrappers all over the floor. The room reeks! Front desk lady said she would give me a new room, she says she “thinks” the room was cleaned today. Give me my money back I told her! To the Marriott I go.

Staff is great! Rooms are very nice! The staff is the best reason to stay here though! They go out of their way to help! Highly recommend!

Nice people but rooms are dirty… we had blood stains on our sheets and urine stains… terrible… manager says that they are under new management so if u dare to stay please update to see changes after management makes changes… also halls and 2 out of the 3 rooms we got smelled like smoke. Free breakfast was ok… not great but it was ok… u get cereal. Biscuts and gravy, and waffles, then they have toast, and bagels… but overall the room is what got this review… hopefully they make some changes and fast.

Nice, very clean motel. Rooms are quite nice. However the mattress in Rm 216 needs replaced, very soft and no longer comfortable. The pillows were just lumps in a pillowcase… replace for the next guest.

I advise anyone to NOT stay here! I booked two double bed rooms side by side or at least next to eachother two weeks ago, and when I arrived there on my booked date they gave me two queen bed rooms! My check in time was 4 I arrived a little after four and I didn’t get checked in until the “fixed the issue” which was 30 mins later. The rooms that they gave me were on two different floors, which is what I didn’t ask for. Anyway, when I go to the rooms both rooms REEKED of cigarettes, and I asked for non smoking. But here’s the kicker, my little sister had a little get together in Room 232 and me and my cousin took room 120, the lady at te front desk named Palak was EXTREMELY RUDE, she came to Room 232 after a “noise complaint” and asked my sister “What the hell is going on in here. ” Extremely unprofessional! So when I went to the front desk to go talk to her she was extremely rude, I asked for corporates phone number and she told me “You can find it yourself. ” At the moment I was livid, so the entire time she was picking with me and my guests. I went to go talk to her again because she kept saying that the guests around us was complaining about noise (Room 232 has little to no noise so I felt like at that moment they were just picking) but as I was talking to her another employee named Danielle walked in and she was extremely helpful!

It wasnt a bedbug, but there was a bug crawling on our sheets… and we werent compensated for our experience there properly.

The rooms are nice but from the first time we stayed, the staff has gone above and beyond to make sure I was comfortable. I am staying at times as I am going through daily medical treatments and I couldn't have chosen a better hotel.

This place is utterly disgusting. There's long black hairs in the bathtub, the toilet is has decades of use and hard water stains, carpet is dark green it's apparent there's hasn't been any shampoo cleaning since the construction. There's two tv's and two remotes in my room only oneremote works for one tv. Ugh Idk if I can even sleep. Which js pointless if you have a TV in front of the sofa but it doesn't work.

I booked this hotel with my points through score care rewards. Arrived Thursday 2/15 to check in and they told me I had reserved a double smoking room when clearly my continuation page said king NON-smoking. After arguing about this for 10 minutes they fixed it, the. Told me I owed $169 for the two reserved nights. The room was paid with points, even after showing them my confirmation still had to argue with them that I had already paid. Finally got checked in after 30 minutes. We are on first floor past the pool, the hall reeked of pot, people running in and out of pool area jumping over the outside rails to enter the hotel. My husband went to take a shower upon entering room, NO HOT WATER. After having the maintence guy come to the room, we finally had hot water over an hour later. Later that night went outside to the vehicle, still people jumping over the metal rails to get inside to the pool area, and pretty sure they were local residents not occupants of the hotel. When trying to enter the room after returning from outside, the door lock wouldn't work, the maintence guy had to come again and reprogram the lock to get back inside the room, which took 30-45 min. And then the TV didn't work. At this point we just gave up and went to bed. Night 2-After being away all day and returning at 10pm all we wanted to do was come in and go to bed. The door lock again didn't work. The maintence guy was not on site, the owner was there and had no idea how to fix the lock.

Computer issues at check in. Charged twice for room. Room was clean but crack in shower floor. In room coffee pot didn't work nor did the hair dryer. It served it's purpose.

Went to VA beach for a family trip, the check-in time was extremely inconveniencing. Mostly bread breakfast but still pretty good, pool was very small and jacuzzi just looked disgusting. Not to mention it was bout 40 mins from the beach.

Check in experience was not good. The associate checking people in seemed VERY flustered and it was apparent she was not familiar with what she was doing. There were 4 people on line when I got there and it took her over 30 minutes to finally get checked in. She received at least a dozen phone calls during that time… And put them on hold and hung them up just flat-out hung up on them. At that point my confidence was not high in the quality of the room I was about to receive. Fortunately the room was actually fairly decent for the price! The main reason we chose this hotel was because it high day pool and hot tub. The water in the pool was very cold. And I'm not sure if the water was dirty or if the pool itself was dirty, but it had a somewhat murky look to it. The hot tub was the same situation… But we tested it out anyway! Breakfast was decent… But it was obvious the eggs they served were powdered as they were very mushy! And I'm not sure what was going on with their staff… But there were two big piles of trash on the sidewalks to the side entrances period in the trash can at the main entrance was overflowing with trash on the ground. Perhaps this was because it was New Year's Eve and they were understaffed…?

Room was smaller than expected. Decent priced. Heat didn't work the the pool so my kids got into the hot tub. Sucked that breakfast was so early… 6am-9am. Next day had bumps on my back. Hoping its not what im thinking (bedbugs)

This place is not somewhere I will be coming back too… the smell of smoke filled the rooms, hallways had not been cleaned and silverfish (bugs) were in our room over all a bad experience… would not recommend this place too anyone until they do some serious cleaning and enforce the non smoking (weed) policy.

I absolutely love the energy when you walk in the front doors. The manager definitely is nice respectful and fair. I have two friends staying here one with his girlfriend and my best friend with her two little girls. They have had an amazing experience.

Rooms are clean and modern. Place seems maintained and updated. Area is not bad either. Laundry room and lots of places to park. Room prices seem to be competitive and low. Pet friendly. The owner is really nice and understanding. Hotel is located off main road in town. Staff seems friendly and helpful. I would definitely like to return to a hotel like this if I happen to be in the area again. I like this part of Virginia.

Check in was a breeze the gentleman at the front desk was super nice and helpful. The location was perfect less than 15 mins from all the local attractions! The rooms were spacious and clean. I will definitely stay again.

My room was clean and modern. The bathroom was small but more then adequate. The staff were all awfully friendly and professional. Would definitely stay here again. A really great value.

Not worth the price! This was the worse experience I have ever had at an hotel. The inside smells like mold, mildew, and dogs/cat. The only this updated in the rooms are the TVs. The carpet is dirty, the appliances are rusted, sheets had stains and the room just stink. We had to move rooms 3 times, last time it was upgraded to a suite but still was not clean but it was 10:30 a night and we were all tired. The front staff had on street clothes. I would not recommend this hotel unless you like staying in filth.

Room smelled like mold and mildew. Next room A. C. Didn't work. One room TV didn't work and smelled like a dog. The clerk was nice and accommodating.

Have stayed here many times. Not sure if recent new management or not, but definitely has gone downhill. Room rather disgusting. Not only was there a dinner plate sized patch of sticky goo in the carpet right outside my door, but another one at the foot of the bed. Peeling paint, ripped carpet, overly perfumed in room to cover up the smell of who knows what, free breakfast was great if you like cereal, but the other stuff available on the breakfast bar was suitable for prison use. Some type of domestic disturbance outside my room last night was not surprising being that some people appear to actually live in the hotel.

Where to start… well, when we checked in there wasn't a cart for our luggage (because there's only 1 in the whole hotel) there was trash in our room, the toilet didn't work, and the guests next door (who according to the front desk worker live in the hotel) were so loud! They kept us and our infant up until past 2am. And when My sister went downstairs to checkout the gym (which almost half of the equipment was out of order) she was followed and harassed by a group of men who said they were locals, and just come to use the pool. I have no idea why they were allowed into the hotel. The next day we requested to move to another, hopefully more quiet room. We were moved, and the new room was even more dirty than the first. We found trash, nothing looked like it had been cleaned, but at this point we weren't surprised. That is until the next day when we noticed there was ANIMAL POOP on the floor between the mini fridge and desk. I was completely disgusted. And that day we checked out. I spoke with the manager, she was kind, and gave us a slight refund. However, after we got home and I was looking at our bank account I saw instead of a refund, we were charged extra! I've tried calling, but the manager is apparently never around, and I've emailed them and have yet to get a response. Needless to say we will never be going back, and I highly suggest you stay somewhere else.

Priceline lied with their ratings. Super 8 at half the cost is cleaner. Stains everywhere, carpet, pillows, blankets, toilet. Only the bedsheets were stain free. Broken air conditioner and foldable bed. Mattress has hard spots. My brother ended up laying down the blanket and sleeping on the floor. Only reason I'm giving 2 star is because the staff were nice.

Check in is at 4 pm and everyone waiting till 6 pm to actually get in a room…

I reserved a queen bed but when I arrived at the motel I was given two double beds. Staff stated it was an upgrade. An upgrade would be a king bed or a room with a whirlpool tub not two double beds. My husband and I couldn't even sleep in the same bed because the beds were too small. The beds were really low to the ground, felt like I was getting up from the floor instead of a bed. The hot tub in the pool area was broken. We called the night before to ensure both the hot tub and pool were working. We were told that they were. When my husband reported that the hot tub wasn't working, the staff told him that it hasn't worked in a year. I would recommend taking the hot tub off of your website as an Accommodation. The room had an an odor like a wet dog. I knew not to report it because the staff upon arrival stated that there were no rooms, so why bother. I would not stay at this Sleep Inn again. I will find another hotel to stay at. The street or my car would have been a better option.

Front desk was nice, but they didn't have the type of room we had paid for. We settled for a king with a pull out. Our son said it was the worst one of the threw week trip. The room was huge and had a Jacuzzi tub in the corner. Our bed was comfortable. The hotel was not the cleanest, but it was acceptable.

Staff is super friendly. The rooms seem clean and the beds are really comfortable. If you're planning to stay ocean front, do your research first. This is obviously not close to the beach. It is not a super long drive though to Virginia Beach. This hotel isn't located in a busy vibrant area but the rates are good. If you are vacationing on a budget this is a good option. Chesapeake is a lovely area. Our room is double queen suite with a sofa bed, and two TV's. It is a good size. Plenty of room for me and my three boys.

Hotel was very nice and clean the staff had great knowledge of the area and were very helpful the room had a very warm & cozy feel to them.

This hotel is nasty! Please don't go or you will experience what I experience! On march 19 I experience being bit by bedbugs in room 121 I didn't immediately Monday which would've been 21 March I left a general manager Jennifer know of my situation she then immediately told me she would have that room checked by terminix and that she will give me a follow up call into days of course Jennifer did not call me I reach back out to her which she told me that they came out and check the room and no bedbugs but I don't believe that because where did these bite marks come from my dog stay there with me along with my wife and we all experience this she sends me a phony letter looks like she took it off the website I think "corporate of terminates in they told me that no technician had service that hotel within the timeframe of the days I stay there and after she will get expose and I'm going to go to the Better Business Bureau to let them know I what happen! PLEASE PPL HELP ME WITH EXPOSESING THIS FRAUD!

I really enjoy staying at Sleep Inn hotels. They are almost alwats top notch and this location is no exception. Comfortable rooms, clean, and friendly staff.

The pool is perfect for little kids the room is nice in clean morning food is good.

Stayed for 2 weeks. Friendly staff, clean rooms and full breakfast… Will return again.

Room wasn't clean the smell was very bad we had to go buy air freshers for the entire room the housekeeping came they only made the bed and emptied the theydidn't bother to clean the bathroom we looked for other hotels but they were all booked coming here for aau nationals made it hard to find anything else we even bought clorox for the bathroom. This hotel made our experience very bad but you live and learn. All I no is I would rather have slept in my car. The breakfast might have been ok but I was afraid to try it. I just that the next person will have a better experience.

Good price; small room; fridge & microwave & coffee maker; shower only in our room. Pool was ok. Jacuzzi/hot tub was nice. Happily surprised by the free breakfast = hot waffles! & bacon! Plus more. Overall good for the money. I would say that the cleaning people need to do a little more thorough of a job… under the bed & behind stand had a sock & ball… not ours.

I checked in at 3:00pm and checked out at 3:20pm. The room was hot and dirty. The carpet was disgusting. I told the front desk clerk that I was not happy and I wanted the credit card charged to be removed because I wanted to leave. She refused even though I was there at most 20 minutes. I complain how filthy the room was, but she did not care. I contacted my credit card and will dispute this charge. Do not stay at Sleepy INN or any affiliations with this chain of hotels Rosa Odenwald.
