Review of Motel 6-Woods Cross, UT - Salt Lake City - North 2*

I would NOT recommend staying at this location. I would not give it any star rating, but to post you have to select at least one. Make sure to read through all or most of the reviews before booking. I failed to do so and went off past experiences from other Motel 6 stays. The staff was pleasant, apologetic for the situation at hand. The location was easy to find and accessible to and from the freeway. However, the reservation was not upheld as requested and booked. The two rooms then recommended to us did not meet hygiene expectations. There were cigarette burns and stains on the bedding in both rooms. The counter tops in the bathroom and living space were terribly abused. It appeared that the shower was used shortly before we entered the room (the shower curtain and floor were wet. We were checking in at 11:50 at night). There were gross smears of some type of substance across a wall in both rooms. One of the pillows had various strands of hair (s) (not ours) on it. There were stains and stuff on the ceiling. One of the rooms smelled of old sour mop and cigarettes. One of the rooms were difficult to dead bolt the room to the outside street. You had to pay for Wi-Fi. To top it off, bugs surfaced in both rooms. We could not rest easy staying there and had to leave. Aside from finding two rooms we could rent that were available that evening and not the ones reserved several days prior and confirmed via a phone call, the local facility and parent company have not responded to the dissatisfaction or inconvenience experienced as a result of the less than poor business, hospitality, and customer practices of this site. We did get a refund back to our cards. I would highly recommend finding another place to stay at other than this specific location!
