Clean rooms and good service!

Wonderful staff, very helpful in changing rooms. The physical plant is OLD, but clean.

This hotel has no respect for there customers. Their housekeepers suck they disregard our do not disturb sign and came into our room while we were at work it looked like they going to clean up since they throw away a couple of things then realize we had the sign up an instead of stocking the room they just left. They took trash out but didnt replace the trash bags they threw away some cups and my top Ramen Cooker so I went and spoke with Management on check out the lady at the front desk stated that the manager and owner would be in contact with me later on that day never called me still haven't heard from them they are very rude at this hotel and I do not recommend anyone going there. In response to their reply id Neve return to your hotel but you all could have exceeded my expectations by even following through with a phone call when your hotel clerk said you would contact me instead you tried to smooth it over with your response to this review and still yet to contact me to make it right.

Stayed with a tour group. Although reservations had been made, they were unprepared and all paperwork for each guest had to be repeated. Staff was not friendly or helpful. Rioma were nice, nut my sink didn't drain and it was impossible to get a consistent ttemperature in the shower. You froze or burned alternately. The last morning one staff member was friendly and helpful.

The best part of this hotel is the fact that it's so close to both the freeway and public transit, only a 15 minute walk to the mall. The service is excellent and the breakfast buffet was fantastic. We'll definitely be going there more in the future.

Worst experience ever. Had me waiting 45 mins to check in, then told me BOTH of my credit cards didn't work. Finally told them just to use the debit card. So then she puts me next to the room with screaming kids at 11pm. Room had a nasty smell as well. Elevator was broken, had to use the stairs. Asked the manager for a discount, was coldly refused. Used the same credit card at the comfort inn next door, worked instantly. Avoid this place!

We stayed at the country inn & suites in west valley, the room was very neat & clean. We got the jacuzzi suite, room215 for $120/night. The employees were very nice & friendly. Check in (@ almost 1am) was quick & easy, checking out later we ended up needing an extra hour (we slept in☺️), we called the front desk, they said we can check out by 1 instead of 12. The cookies @ the front desk were very yummy too.

Asked for late check out to get some errands done saying may possibly add another night. Was told late check out was 1PM. Left my son sleeping in the room with all our belongings. Later determined that I would need to add a night, tried calling for several hours and was unable to reach anyone so I sent a message through yelp. Hotel staff did promptly wake my son at 1PM to hurriedly kick him out of the room. He of course failed to grab all of our belongings before he left including a few hundred dollars worth of toiletries, electric razors, laundry, and a cooler. When I returned a few hours later none of these items could be located.

I stay in hotel rooms daily for work. I've been to HUNDREDS of different hotels. Including many in and around SLC. Honestly, this is by far my favorite hotel. Service was excellent, food was good, and the rooms were really, really nice. This will be my hotel of choice from now on when I'm in town.

The breakfast was nice, and the staff was great. The directv stopped working half way through our stay on one TV (the other worked just fine). The front desk got our check out day wrong, because they didn’t record our day change. Which is all fine, but the worst was we got a lot of ants in our room. When we called the front desk to tell them, they took two plus hours for them send maintenance to take care of them. When he came, he had a bottle of raid, which he couldn’t use because we have kids, and then vacuumed the ants up. They were back in the morning. So good place to stay if you are okay having no food in your room and you just need a cheaper place to stay.

Busy place at all hours. Comfy bed, decent breakfast, slept well. Mini type fridge, microwave, ironing supplies, in room coffee unit worked well but the coffee is awful. In room coffee in every place I've been is awful! Shampoo/ conditioner were really watered down. Lotion is ok. Soap is ok. Customer service here is pretty good.

Moderate. Not bad, but not great either. Breakfast is a decent continental. No exercise or gym or workout room. Staff service has been good to accommodate customer needs.

Horrible customer service. Nagging us about our dogs barking, when they were not. Rude and not understanding of course a dog is going to bark but our dogs will not consistently barking for people to complain. They were so rude to us they come to us while we're enjoying our hot breakfast trying to relax with my kids it was the biggest bull s***. You do not do that if you want to complain don't do it in front of my kids so unprofessional you guys are the worst. I will tell people not to come to your hotel there's better inns, that are more professional than this one.

It has a good selection of food place and the hotel van takes you to the mall as well.

Room and check in were great. They offer free “fast” shuttle service to the different trucking company’s in the area that put their new employees in the hotel. Their FAST service is 1hr? Never again. Very rude when asked why so long. The “management” person behind the counter would rather talk on his cell phone then to help the customer on check out. Guess I lied. It has now been 1 1/2 hrs and were just getting on the shuttle bus.

Well where do I start! The first problem happened when I called to get the shuttle van to pick me up at the airport! The little fat girl that works the front desk told that the shutte van would be there in about 15 minutes yea! Called back about 45 minute later and she told me that she just got off the phone to the shuttle driver and he'll be there in about 15 minutes! To make a long story sort I was waiting for 2 1/2 hours and the shuttle never showed up. So got a $50 cab ride 2 1/2 hours later! Then the little fat girl said she dose not see a reservation that my company made yea! So I to wait 10 minutes to recharge my phone battery so I could prove that my company had made the reservation. Then all of a sudden she see it on her computer yea! Then got my room and it was nothing to write home about! Then got ready to take a shower and guess what no hot water yea! Then I went to the front desk to tell the little fat girl. And she said she would get maintenance on it, yea! About 30 minutes later she had not done anything! So this was my experience with country inn& suites at 3422 decker in west valley city Utah.

Very nice accommodations for a three star hotel. Decent breakfast. $100 suites. I was quite impressed. Very nice stay on a corporate account.

If you are visiting Salt Lake City and they're looking for a nice quiet place to sleep at night the Country Inn is a place for you. Clean rooms good service and good cookies at the front desk.

Room keys had to constantly need recharging. The front desk had the gall to say it was something we were doing. The room had a funky smell. We bought glade air freshener and it didn't help at all. Staff was absolutely no help. Nothing about this stay was pleasant.

The location isn't easily seen off the road, which caused our driver to miss it on the first pass. Despite that, it's a short walk from several restaurants and an easy distance from the mall (if you're like myself and didn't have a car but wanted something to do to kill time), so that's all a wonderful plus. The rooms were clean, the bathroom had plenty of extra towels, and it came stocked with a coffee maker and small fridge. There was a little sitting area with a TV and the bedroom had its own TV as well. There was in room dining service, although I didn't have the opportunity to try it myself. I was a little put off by the high prices, but maybe the quality of food made up for it. There's also a CDL discount for my fellow drivers out there.

Quite, cute and very friendly staff. Breakfest provided by the hotel was impressive. I had no problems at all and I would stay again, next time I am in the area. They are also pet friendly and their pet charge was only $10 per dog.

Whn we stayed it was great till we got kicked out cuz they way booked & we didnt have a rezervation.

The hotel is very laid back and calm. The rooms are nice and we'll kept. The staff is friendly and helpful. Very accommodating.

One night stay. For the price it was satisfactory. It was clean but seemed a little sparse. Only one chair, no other place to sit except beds. Microwave placed on top of small fridge. Ect.

It's hard for me to give a complete answer to this question because I am still staying at the countryinn in west valley but as of right now I would have to say that it's a great hotel with great staff the rooms are pretty much the basic hotel room but the breakfast buffet every morning is awesome the lady that cooks it is great the hotel offers cookies at the front desk everyday and there complementry with coffee and such and the vending machines are also great they have a ice-cream machine so I would have to say so far it's a great place to stay with a great staff.

Clean and nice service. Check in was quick and timely. Breakfast well staffed.

If you get room here make sure they don't give you a room near the banquet room.
Party going on and music was so loud it was like being next to a bar. Pictures vibrating on walls…
Called front desk and they said they would talk to them. And that they have till 10 pm to stop music well this means we have 3.5 hrs to the end of music…

The elevator didn't work at night and I had to use the stairs to take my blind nephew up 3 flights of stairs and the evening desk help was short and lacking people skills and need to be available. The morning front desk women was pleasant and welcoming.

I stayed here for several days and enjoyed every minute of it. From the building to the great location to the inviting staff. An incredible value and I highly recommend this property. Thanks so much and hope to see you again soon!

We have been here less than 1 day and I am glad we chose this Hotel. Rooms are nice and clean. Breakfast for our players was great. They even kept it open later for us because we got in very very late last night. The front desk personnel, maids and staff have been very helpful. The manger is extremely polite and really nice. Couldn't have picked a better place.

The hotel is easy to get at and has plenty of parking. We travel with our dog and they always accommodate us with a main floor room. Free hot breakfast is served daily and isn't too bad. Only complaint I had this trip was the room is in need of an update. Ceiling in the bathroom is multiple colors from a variety of patches. Floors are thing and we had a child in a room above us with inconsiderate parents who let the child run and jump around for hours. It was so bad, things in our room were rattling!

The hotel was clean and Misty at the Front Desk was super sweet. The beds were comfy, the breakfast had so many options — eggs, sausage, tortillas, fruit and yogurt, waffles, oatmeal, cereal. The pool and hot tub were nice and clean. We really enjoyed it!

I've been here for a week and I just booked another week but last night I had a little bit of a problem where I was trying to go into my room I rented which is right by the pool & the lady that just got here literally starting accuse me of purposely leaving the swimming pool door open (pool close at 12 to be cleaned I'm well aware of this and I've only been swimming once) and she was extremely rude threaten that she'd be watching me and the pool as I explained back to her that's what she should be doing because it's her job other than accusing people like myself I'll still book another week because this place is great the people are wonderful other than this one altercation BUT I.
Still booked another week & I'd aslo come back again.

Overall the hotel is fine if you need a place to sleep. You're not going to find anything fancy, and the rooms are nothing to write home about, but there are beds, and a shower, so it does the trick. I typically don't even write reviews, but I did want to acknowledge the staff. Front desk, and housekeeping staff were always friendly, and helpful. We had problems with our room keys not working, and they were always there to help get it figured out. Obviously the staff is doing their best with the hotel that they're working in.

Good location, it's near the freeway and shopping. Front desk was helpful. Apparently I booked a room that they didn't have available. She was sweet and upgraded us to a suite. At least they tried to fix the mistake. Rooms are good and clean. This place is outdated and it's dark in the hallways and the elevator made loud noises. The indoor pool was okay. It's small but it does the job. Impressed it was open till midnight. Housekeeping was good and attentive. The breakfast was okay. There is a variety of food items that you can choose from. My kids loved the fact they always had cookies at the front desk. In the mornings they have fresh hot macadamia nut and peanut butter cookies ready along side fresh coffee. Overall it's okay if you get a deal.

So first got there the staff was great went to our room (third floor) the hallway was to hot and stunk like old lady perfume. Then we left to have dinner came back to different staff members who took 3 hours to bring up a crib. Also by that time the hallway to our room was even hotter and smelt of cigarette smoke bad! We had to good time in the pool but the hot tub needs to be refinished and it had so much chemicals it burned your eyes to be in it. Also had cigarette butts all over the floor in the pool room.

Clean rooms. Rooms were pretty big, not too cramped. Nice front desk staff and walking distance to about 6 restaurants. 10 min from airport.

I called at 8am to make a reservation for a bottom floor room, and was given my room rate by the owner. When I arrived that evening, not only was the room I reserved unavailable but the young lady at the desk tried to charge me more than I was quoted by the owner. After talking to the owner the next morning, it was explained that the rooms were not vacated the evening before, but when I tried to extend my stay for a second evening I was told I couldn't because the room was reserved. I feel that there was discrimination and prejudice involved. Why Gee is it alright for some patrons to extend their stay in a reserved room, but not others? Is it because I am not of the right skin tone or culture? The business practices at this hotel are hinky and to say the least very questionable. Beware OTR drivers, we work hard for our money and unless you are a tweeker or are supported by government funds this place of business is extremely unfair.

Our room was amazing, it had a very large jetted tub the was wonderful for relaxing and winding down. Everything was clean and comfortable! On our way out a manager noticed we were leaving and went out of their way to see how our night was and if everything was up to our standards. Very impressed! Will be a return guest!

We initially checked in and was told we needed a $100 deposit on top of the 90 something just for the room. (Paying with a debit card) as we settled into our room we noticed there was no mini fridge (room 118) and the vents in the bathroom were absolutely filthy. We asked to switch rooms and was then given room 208. The jacuzzi and pool area was like nothing I've seen before in a hotel. There was hair and leaves in the pool and the hot tub was so filthy we decided not to chance it. I will not be staying here in the future and would never recommend staying here to any friends or family. Horrible experience.

I stayed there for a few weeks when I first got into town never was late on my bill and always respectful to staff and guest. Then after a week of being gone from hotel I came back stayed for over 30+ days and I left on a Friday at about 6 o'clock never owing a bill, now I have had a guest that basically lives there call me and give the phone to the owner saying I owed him for the day I left early, feeling harassed and annoyed. Will never stay there again!
