The staff was rude and yelled at us when we walked in from the beach without our masks on. Sorry but I didnt wear my mask to the beach so I forgot. Then proceeded to tell us it was a State mandate and we would be escorted off the property if we weren't wearing our masks. Alittle kindness goes a long way all the lady had to do was ask us nicely and we would've apologized for not having them on. Mind you this was the 1 time we walked by without them on. There was food still in fridge from the previous guests. The fridge temp was set to freezing and it froze parts of our gallon of milk so we pulled the fridge out to adjust the temp. When we did there were dried old blueberries all under the fridge. Which makes me wonder what else doesn't get cleaned very well. I will definitely find another place to stay next time.

They charged me TWICE for a room I canceled and have email confirmation that I canceled. Stay away from this hotel.

Love this hotel and free hot breakfast. Always a great stay here. The breakfast attendant this morning was super friendly and helpful. The hotel is also located very close to beach access.

We stayed in a suite for a couple of nights during 4th of July holiday. Very clean and excellent service! We loved the pool, and breakfast was great! We will definitely be coming back!

We made reservations only to find out upon arriving that they were not open. Had to scramble and find other accommodations at a premium price since we were already hours from home.

If I could put no stars I would but I couldn't. This hotel was the best, until the hurricane hit it. Hope they get this place back up so I can stay in it again… for free haha.

Really nice. Can be great with a couple more friendly faces and Wi-Fi that reaches the rooms with good signal.

I really love this hotel but im very disappointed to find out from representative that this one does not participate in the ihg rewards program. Really wanted to reserve multiple rooms for multiple days here but I would have had to use points & save up. Guess ill have to find another favorite.

October 2017. Manager still has not found the time to respond. I gave up a long time ago. Still want to warn people. You see true colors when something goes wrong. Will they care a paying customer was unhappy… no. Can not even be bothered to return the phone call … much less see if we matter. … we do not. If you book. Be careful the tile is slick in the rooms. All of them. We were moved around. Living room furniture is very uncomfortable. There are rarely towels at the pool. It is real cold in the rooms but hot in the hall. Glasses will fog often. Do not stay here. Ron was ill. We paid way too much money to stay up all night our last night awaiting another set of sheets that never arrived. We had to drive to San Saba the next day on very little sleep. We had to do that sleeping on a plain mattress with no cover / blanket after finally giving up on waiting. We have yet to receive a phone call from the general manager. 4 phone calls and 4 days and NO RESPONSE. This is getting ridiculous. Stay at the Port a Beach Lodge or Gulf Shores Condominiums or anywhere else.

Staff did a great job with our needs even when the hotel was completely booked. Best part was the kids "suite" with bunk beds. The kids loved it!

Very clean the staff it's very polite and sweet. We really enjoyed it. And the hotel it's close to many restaurants and walking distance with the beach as well. Next visit we will come to this exact hotel.

Excellent room while not to big it felt very spacious with how the room was set up. It was very well cleaned. Had a complimentary continental breakfast which was very good. The bathroom while small got the job done with no hassle and the service was great!

The people that work the front desk are extremely nice and helpful. The hospitality all around is actually really great. The free breakfast is good and the pool is very comfortable and relaxing after a long day of vacationing.

Location is great, close to everything. Rooms are clean and comfortable and staff were polite. Good cell signal indoors, free Wi-Fi. Excellent air conditioning. Pool and hot tub are kept up. Very good breakfast as well. My only issue was an encounter with a large water roach in my room that naturally caused my kids to freak out. The only immediate offer when the front desk was informed was "we can send someone up to spray tomorrow, or change the room, but these things are everywhere". I understand that these things happen, especially at the coast. However, considering the insane price tag ($300+ a night after tax), being kept up till midnight hunting a 4" long roach behind beds and curtains, I can't say I was satisfied. I woke up less than rested and struggled with whether or not to make an issue of it.

I never would have thought this would happen here. I've stay here several times but this one was the worst experience from any hotel. Checked in went fishing till 2 am. Afterwards when getting ready for bed we pulled back the sheets and it was disgusting! A bunch of hairs and stains! All they did was make the bed without changing them from the previous guess. Me and my wife were grossed out. Called the front desk and the night clerk came up and changed them for us right away. I will forever be grossed out with what I saw. The next night we stayed elsewhere. Shame on you holiday inn. I'm sure they have had several complaint lately about this … Or was I the unlucky one?

The room was nice and spacious. Came with mini fridge, microwave. The hotel is under some renovation but not too bad. The breakfast is less than impressive and the staff is not that helpful-always smoking outside. The hotel is a good distance from the beach.

Excellent front desk service, tidy and comfortable rooms. Would like to have better stair access over elevator, but this location was under construction at the time and this is likely to be rectified anyway.

Had a most AWESOME night with my lady. Sat in hot tub for hour enjoying the night air and the stars, nice and polite personal. Will be back in the future.

Book a reservation got there the room had a issue but was immediately corrected staff is friendly and helpful the breakfast is fantastic the hotel is a block from the beach we stayed april 3-6 right after spring break and before tourist season so the beach was not crowded at all the hotel is in renovation right now and it is nice its supposed to be completed by may.

Enjoyed our stay. Lots of work going on around the hotel. Kind of pricey.

We had a reservation booked online. We drove 15 hours to get to our destination and came to find out the hotel canceled our reservation without calling us. Online we had a garunteed room. We ended going to the Hampton Inn for better service and price. Go to the Hampton :-)

Pretty decent hotel. Rates were very reasonable. They're undergoing a remodel, so it was a bit noisy, but it's good to see the investment being made.
