This is our second time using this hotel. Excellent location for beach access. We crossed the street to the newly built beach access parking lot. After the beach the beach parking lot, which has rest rooms also has four shower faucets to rinse off and return to our hotel sand free. Suites have a stove and microwave which helped reheat the food we bought and helped us make hot dogs for the kids. The breakfast was perfect for the kids. Waffles were the kids favorite. Will return to this perfect location and friendly staff.

The location is amazing! It doesn’t have a beach access but it’s extremely close either walking or driving. The breakfast was great except that the lady from the staff couldn’t smile and she looked upset all the time. The front desk staff was helpful and the room cleaning ladies seemed very nice. The room was clean and the bed was comfy. We will definitely stay there again! :)

Do not stay here! I found a cockroach in my room, obviously left, and spoke with the manger who said she’d try to care of me for my trouble. I have updated my post: the manger was able to give me back something for the stay. I appreciate it but I am still unhappy with what happened. I was told that cockroaches are normal for a beach area hotel, I have stayed at quite a few hotels on the beach and this was 1st one with roaches. They need to remodel and re-seal the windows and ac units otherwise it’s just a haven for roaches.

I can't say enough nice things about this place. Location location location! The staff was totally wonderful. I accidentally left the power supply for my laptop in my room after checkout… they called me (too late) but shipped it back to me! Rooms are much better than "2-star". Breakfasts were different each of the 3 mornings I was there. The Gulf is just across the street. These guys rock!

We were there two weeks ago and it was excellent for the price we paid. We stayed Sunday through Tuesday and it was clean, the bed was soft, the kitchen was convenient especially the full-size refrigerator, with a hot breakfast and good coffee. The only down side was the maid was not attentive. She seemed to be in a constant bad mood and we over heard her talking about the manager loudly to another maid as we got on the elevator. Passed a room one day she was sitting at the desk on her phone looking bored. She cleaned our room but did not restock toilet paper, coffee, or shampoos/bathroom products. It was the only time we requested service so had to go to the front desk for those missed items.

Great location within easy walking distance to the beach at a reasonable price. The room had a kitchenette but was poorly stocked with equipment they said was there. The room hadn't been thoroughly cleaned from the previous guests. The staff was generally helpful and friendly, so when things were pointed out things got fixed fairly fast. Parking was a problem.

Very satisfied! Room was clean and comfortable. The staff was awesome! Only thing… was I could hear the guests upstairs early morning walking around. Only a walk across the street to the the beach. Great stay again! Will be back.

Pleasantly PLEASED! Very clean, fresh towels daily. Our housekeeper Chrissy did an amazing job & so appreciated her doing our dishes! The bed was so comfortable I would compare it to the Crown Plaza we stayed at the n8ght before! Would refer family & friends! We will be back! Thank you so much! A++++++++…

Outstanding customer service, got there thinking I had a reservation and find out my phone made a different date. No problem, got a room for the same price.

Loved this place ladys in front wete awsome. Wafles for breakfast eggs cereal muffend beagles sadly no bananas nut stull soo good :)

Roaches, dirty floors, and bad Wi-Fi. We counted three roaches in our room. I got one of them but I asked the front desk for poison or something and they didn’t have any. They offered a new room but it was 8pm and we were checking out the next morning. No point. The night manager said they would offer a discount at checkout. So checkout comes around and because we booked via third party they couldn’t do anything. They offered reward points but no where near enough to mean anything. Next, we were changing my daughters shoes and she walked barefoot in the room for a FEW seconds and the bottom of her feet were covered in dust from the tile. Floors looked clean but up close, nope. Then the Wi-Fi didn’t work the first night. I asked the front desk about it and all they said was yeah it’s acting up… and provided no solution. I asked the next person the next day and because it worked for his phone, he wouldn’t reset it. But weird that it didn’t work for my two devices nor my wife’s device. Not a pleasant experience, won’t be going back.

Great place, comfortable beds. Only downside hotel doesn't have their own pool. We stayed in late February so wasn't a biggie but during the summer having a pool to swim in really does matter.

Always a pleasure staying here. Great service, clean comfortable rooms and a hot breakfast with ample choices.

Second time staying here. The front desk people are always nice. The room is pretty good this time. This is probably the best value on the island.

I hesitantly say that this hotel is a decent place to stay only because I liked that it had a kitchenette in the room and the free breakfast has sausage, eggs, bacon plus the usual assortment of carbs. However, our room bathroom wasn't cleaned from the previous guest and there was still dishes in the dishwasher. There was a hairball on the wall in the shower and trash was left behind the door. When housekeeping came to 'tidy up' during our stay they didn't bother to make the bed. The first night of our stay the 2nd floor room window fell in! Very bizarre! There were also cockroaches crawling on the wall and across the floor. Overall it was disappointing since this hotel looked like it would have been nice when we booked it.

Very nice location across from the Bob Hall pier. Continental breakfast was really good! I recommend that they throw out the upholstered chairs and carpets. They were kinda dingy, and put stuff in like tile and leather chairs that is easier to clean. I personally don't like carpet in a hotel. Feels gross. Also make sure the showers don't have any mold bc that is yucky too.

First night things from previous person still in room pretty sure the bed was probably just made not changed. Next morning water bugs crawling on ceiling what fun to wake up to cockroaches running across floor. Come back and can't put the toilet seat down without hitting the toilet paper roll — seriously who designed this? Doors slam day and night here to work and never get a full night's rest. $2 to wash $2 to dry the absolute maximum they can charge with the washer (2) and dryer (2) the way they are set up — upper dryer doesn't work (lower worked fine). Housekeeping seemed to do their job just fine didn't have a problem with them in the least during my stay — never saw them either — perks of working long hours I guess? AC works microwave works. Have not tried the oven or stove top. Fridge works OK doesn't get really cold, but better than nothing at least my milk didn't spoil. TV works decent channel availability. Grubhub shows no one delivers pizza hut will deliver so will dominoes no idea about anyone else. Pretty close to the beach from what I can tell haven't bothered to go down there. Really not a place to go unless you enjoy beaches as for it being an extended stay kind of place it is really low on my list of places to ever stay again.

Close to the beach. Can walk through the parking lot of the Holiday Inn and then you will be at the beach. Or you can drive right on the beach. There is comfortable. Able to cook your own meals if you would like to do that. There is stove/oven and microwave. Small refrigerator is also in the room.

Came home to a leak in our ceiling from a previous Poor repair… Couch was soaked clothes are on the couch wet not sure if it was fresh water drain water or what. My daughters are not removedto two separate rooms because of the Filled capacity. Over Night realized that they did the best with what they had and actually Audi it was quite nice to have the two separate suites with Master beds it was accommodating for myself and my two teenage daughters… Do you know what it's like sharing a bathroom with a two teenage daughters 17 and 18 years old.

The hotel rooms were wonderful. My family and I stayed in a double room; it had plenty of space, a nice kitchen, and included two different TVs (one in the master bedroom and another in the living room area. ) However, the two beds were a little tight on space for two people sharing (Queen sized). Although there is no pool, the beach is very accessible. It is about a 5-6 minute walk away, although a major road has to be crossed in order to reach it. The continental breakfast included is also high quality, with plenty of options to choose from ranging from a hot breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage, and bacon to waffles, cereal, and pastries. The upper floors do constantly smell of take out, but it did not carry into the rooms. As far as location goes, there are gas stations, drugstores, and plenty of food options within 10 minutes of the hotel. Overall, my family and I had a great experience with Hawthorne Suites.

Great location to walk across the street to the beach. Perfect sized suites for small families. Love having a second bedroom. Kitchenette very convenient to bring your own food, dishes and dishwasher even provided. Will be back again with family.

Everything about this hotel was great! Breakfasts was good and they kept it full of food. Rooms were clean and smelled good, the hotel always smelled and looked clean, housekeeping did a great job cleaning the room and the employees were very nice! Also it is a short walk to the beach! The beach was beautiful! We would definitely stay again!
