Ms. Pam makes sure every customer is taking care of to the fullest. Her staff is so friendly & kind. It is our home away from home is how we feel. We love it here so much we stay every year. Ms. Pam even remembers our kids. 🖤

While it is closer to more attractions the price is not worth the stay. 1. The hotel inside needs to be updated both in service and I looks. 2 it needs to be thoroughly cleaned from smell and stains. 3. While sitting in the lobby awaiting to celebrate in a party the roaches circling around we're too much!

From the moment we walked in the whole time we’ve been here friendly staff friendly people great atmosphere, Awesome Definitely highly recommend.

Hotel needs to have their curtains in rooms updated they were very dirty.
New sheets would really be a plus, they have a smell to them.
Sofa in room very dirty.
TV bad reception hardly no channels on it.
Bathroom has no fan vent an bathroom would get very foggy when used.
Found a roach in the bathroom.
Overall the room was big, Our experience was so bad we would not be staying there no more.

Timing was right to finally try to heal my heart, even a tiny bit.

Great rooms. Had a wonderful time here! The staff has been very good. We asked for a room overlooking the ocean and we weren’t disappointed! The cleaning staff is a little lacking and slow to bring towels and leave soaps. But considering how full the hotel is, not bad at all. We would have no problem coming here again! Thanks.

Close to some good shallow fishing spots, literallynext door to Longboard Bar and Grille. Clean rooms cool staff and a cool lil bfast.

Decent place to crash while on a quick visit. Clean room and good location. A bit noisy for my liking but it's hard to find quiet on SPI unless you are in a condo and even hard then at times. Friendly staff and AC so cold it will run you out of the room.

Best Place to Stay and have a blast. We come every year for Splash, MoM & the Staff treats us like their own. We love it. Pool parties are always a great experience with family & friends.

This place was amazing, we found it online at a super affordable price and booked it for three days at first but added a day because we had extra time and this hotel is that good. The staff was super friendly, made sure we had everything we needed and were super fast when we did need something. It was super clean, the beds were comfortable — the only kinda weird thing is our blankets had holes in them but we didn’t need the blankets so it was okay. The pool was clean and super fun to hangout at, the hot tub was cool and you can request a movie for them to play by the pool! They have tons of coupons and pamphlets for stuff to do around the island too, definitely book your stay here. You won’t be disappointed. We had two separate rooms and both were great, the breakfast is good and fresh, great environment!

Great for the family. Large room, microwave /fridge. Movies at the pool each night. Close to the beach and was able to see Fireworks on the bay from our room. Free hot breakfast. Not fancy, but prefect for beach vacation. We will return. Only issue was that the pool felt like a hot tub and the chlorine was strong.

This is our go to spot when visiting padre. The room is nice, bathrooms are not too small. Never seen bugs, and we've stayed multiple times. One issue we encountered on this last visit was that we couldn't use the room phone to call the front desk. It was broken. The lamp in the room was also broken. Breakfast is good although there are not very many options. Room stays cold and environment is quiet. We also seem to have issues when we book through expedia, once they even locked us out of the room and we were charged more. Staff was friendly and we will return for future visits.

Location of hotel is ideal. However, the hotel is very outdated. First night, I had to kill a small roach in the restroom. Beds were extremely hard and matress looked very old along with pillows. Loud music and stomping was heard very easily. Housekeeping did a terrible job with not cleaning the room properly and very unfriendly. Only had two rolling carriers to haul luggage, which could not be found when leaving. We had to walk back and forth with our hands full of bags, making it very hard and frustrating. Especially with kids! Plus about the hotel is they host a movie night at the pool daily for children, free breakfast, free parking and front desk staff was nice.

I am extremely disappointed of this hotel! I had stayed over in three other occasions prior and had never had such a bad experience! They put us in a room loaded with cockroaches! Ordeal began at about 11 p. M … called front desk and I was told receptionist was by himself and had no one else to help out! Asked if we wanted to move out of room … us thinking it would be a one time event… we decided to stay since we were very tired to b moving out rooms at that time. BIGGEST MISTAKE! We ended up spending the whole night with room infested with cockroaches! Plus… microwave started burning up so room was loaded with smoke! Horrible experience ever! Don’t stay at such hotel! Manager knew of cockroaches but never fixed problem… continued to rent out room. Phone had no line either!

Great location. 10 minute walk to the beach. There is a movie night at the heated swimming pool, super cool. Room has a mini fridge/freezer, microwave, dedicated kitchenette sink, clean rooms and a balcony. There is also a perfectly decent full breakfast.

No Wi-Fi, bouncy bed, no working vent in bathroom, pillows are half size of standard pillows and not fluffy, no enough towel racks in bathroom, carpet is puckered, sauna bath tub leaked from fixture. Only 2 luggage rollers on site for a 3 floor hotel?! But great breakfast!

My experience staying here was excellent. My whole family enjoy every minute. I would definitely recommend this hotel to everyone.

This hotel is in a great location, facing the main Street. The rooms are nice and big with a table, a microwave and a coffee maker. Plenty of parking in the back. Breakfast is included and they have a cool waffle machine in the Texas shape. Allowed us to check out a little bit late. Overall great place to stay!

Pam and her staff are some of the friendliest people you will ever meet. The rooms are spacious, and the service is unsurpassed. I experienced automobile troubles while on the island, and Pam let me stay past checkout without charge until my vehicle was fixed. These people treat you like family. Highly recommended!

I would give 10 stars if I could! Mahalo to the staff that did an AMAZING accommodation for us on a VERY packed Memorial day While we were on the beach and realized were not getting over the bridge, we started calling places so we could stay over night and we started from access 2 and worked our way south. Finally my husband got lucky, they had a room that could sleep 4 adults We got there around midnight, got our key and opened the door to a huge mess, beds were not made, lights on, trash on the floor. We went back to the desk, they apologized for the inconvenience and that was their last room. We were clearly upset then they offered us a managers apartment; 3 bedroom 2 bath HUGE balcony, kitchen, living room and spacious pantry. It was perfect. A desk person lead us to the apartment because it's a little hard to find The decor is quaint, some parts a little dated but the hospitality, view and location are great! Our family is already thinking about going back. Thinking that too when we fly back.

This place really is alright but the beds are really bad : (Old spring mattress that would make sounds every time someone turns, even if it's just my toddler turning on the bed we would hear it. It's very uncomfortable and I didn't sleep at all the whole night. Lobby is clean, pool looked clean though we didn't get a change to use it. Inside and out is really good, just really disappointed with how bad the beds were.

Serving staff for breakfast was not at all kind or attentive, but the hotel was nice for the price. Lots of winter texans and their dogs stay here for an extended period. Hot tub and pool were nice. Nice location too.

VERY cheap and definitely worth the price. The breakfast was amazing and the rooms were clean and well kept. I wouldn’t call them luxury rooms, but they were absolutely worth the low price, especially for spring break.

They do not have internet in the rooms, do not grab Mexican cards and no one speaks or do not want to speak Spanish, at another point the hotel is very nice, the price super well, super clean and very spacious room and bathroom.

Loved this vacation! Wish the weather was better when we qwent… I only give 3 because I had a booked reservation for this hotel. Called them and told them we would be in later… 5am because we were driving 16 hours to get there. When we went to check-in after no sleep… not only did they not have a room ready… they told me I had to call in advance if we were coming in late. Not only did the woman NOT put a note in the system saying I called… after they finally got us a room we passed out at 6 am. They call us at 8 am telling us we had to get up and change rooms right then. They did refund us for that night but after that long of a drive and a reservation I had for 6 months and a call in advance for our tardiness wasn't noted… we were very very frustrated. But the rest of the stay was marvelous! Just be aware!

Rooms nice and fairly quiet. Nice lobby. The desk clerks were very nice. Free coffee 24-7. Dogs are allowed. Business center computer very old and still running XP. Very limited wireless in the rooms… just what comes in from the hallway. Water pressure in the shower low, and water was just barely warm enough. Breakfast did not include fruit, and was the same every morning. Overall, this hotel was clean and quiet, and the price was reasonable. Recommended for a short stay.

Not impressed with the accommodations at the Inn. Were in room for a week, and very few things worked. No heat, phone didn't work. Exhaust fan in restroom didn't work. However, the room service was excellent. All the girls did an awesome job with the cleaning of said room and should be recognized for a job well done. Mark L Bailey.

Everyone in this establishment was very friendly and very helpful. I felt at home and breakfast was delicious. It was January when I visited so unfortunately I couldn't take advantage of the pool. They showed movies in the lobby in the evening. And they were very knowledgeable of the surroundings and made many helpful suggestions.

Very nice hotel. Very affordable, and the room was outstanding. Plenty of space and a nice kitchen area. The staff at the front desk was very helpful. We will definitely stay here again when we visit the island in the future.

If I could give this place a negative rating, you better believe I would. The pictures they post online looks much better than what it truly is. The first “king suite with jacuzzi” we got looked nothing like the pictures, there were bugs everywhere, and the room had holes and cracks everywhere. We demanded a new room and they moved us to just a king suite but when we got in there, the floor was filthy, there were bugs, the room was cracking, and there was rat feces. Never have I been more disappointed and disgusted.

First time staying at this hotel. Rooms were comfortable and spacey. Service was great. When we were a bit late for breakfast the lady said she can prepare us a plate which was awesome of her.

Nice place for a family to stay. Has a pool and a small shop in it. Free breakfast is pretty good too. It's not fancy and it's a bit older but it is in decent shape and the staff is friendly.

Loved our stay here! The staff was super friendly and helpful! The rooms were very clean and house keeping awesome! They noticed that we had our two small children with us and gave us extra toiletries along extra towels to accommodate our needs. Defiantly will stay there again. :)

It is clean, the rooms are spacious and located in a very good place. It looks a little old-fashioned, but it's acceptable. If you book in time you get cheaper.

The personnel and service is amazing. It could benefit from a more powerful AC. In addition, while sufficient for me, I would call the breakfast small. It however, was all fresh and delicious.

I guess you get what you pay for here. I would NOT recommend staying here. It looks MUCH better in photos. As soon was we walked through the doors, it was mugg, musty, wet and smelled like they covered the place in bleach to cover the dirty, musty smell. Padre was particularly humid that day, so we figured we would give the place benefit of the doubt that day. The next day was less humid, but the hotel stayed wet and muggy. I don't know how mold isn't growing everywhere! The whole time we were here we felt wet and sticky. Floors felt wet at all times. The bed felt wet. All of our clothes in the suitcase became damp. Made the hotel feel so dirty and disgusting! No other business we entered on the island felt this way. Do yourself a favor — — DO NOT STAY HERE! Staff wasn't particularly friendly either. My husband and I were not ready to leave the island, but we were VERY ready to leave this hotel.

Price was decent, free breakfast and was good. Walking distance from the beach. Our room was clean. Staff was nice. I the evening the pool area has a projector with a kid movie playing. That was fun, quality of the movie isn't the best, but kids enjoyed themselves. I believe it is pet friendly as we saw several people with dogs. Something I thought was weird, we had to wear wrist bands, but I noticed other hotels did the same. I would stay at this location again.

Omg where to begin! We stayed here for our honeymoon. We were warmly greeted and checked in without problems. The view inside is Exactly as shown as pictures. First thing you smell is the cleanliness of the hotel. We got the king suite with the jacuzzi, again… It's exactly as pictured! Everything was clean, fresh, and worked. It was spacious and completely comfortable. Breakfast was awesome! And filling. The pool was a nice size and warm. Overall highly satisfied. This is our new go to hotel to stay at!

The place itself was nice. I Didn't get to use the pool, it was too packed. We were supposed to have queen size beds, they y felt like full size. The only problem that we had was with our bed, it was lumpier than a camel n the springs were VERY, too springy!

Although other websites have given this at least 2 stars I certainly would not. I got a jacuzzi suite which is their supposed best room. The only garbage can was in the bathroom. Empty beer case from previous guest under kitchen sink. No do not disturb sign to hang on the door. No pen and paper to write a do not disturb sign. No coffee maker even. Internet doesn't exist in the room and was told to come to the lobby for this. Not practical for business work. They issue you a security wrist band and tell you that you must wear it all the time while you stay there. This is no resort and certainly no reason for this. I do not recommend this place.

The staff make this place — — the place to be. Very kind, very welcoming. We had a clean room, with free breakfast daily and the Inn was close to everything. We would book again!

Took my mom out there for her birthday. Great rates. Loved the heated pool. The jacuzzi by the pool was amazing. Friendly service. Hot breakfast was included in our stay too. Outstanding. The only thing we found to complain about, was the towels needed some downy, cuz mom said they were too, rough. Other than that, it was on point. Loved it. Not bad for $50 a night at The Inn at South Psdre Island. Totally gotta check this place out. Loved it.

Super friendly staff, close to eateries beach/bay access, included fully loaded continental breakfast (with sauage n eggs), n extra feature of nightly movie projected on wall of outdoor pool!

This is a great place for the price. It's an older hotel but they keep it clean and tidy. The rooms have a mini fridge and a balcony with nice view. But their staff is just amazing. They were very accommodating and sweet. Especially all the girls up at the front desk. I will definitely be staying here again on my next visit.

Good value. Water pressure was low for shower. Older hotel. People were great! Pool was great, movie nightly by the pool, and could see the fireworks from the pool area. Breakfast was same as most, sausage, scrambled eggs, waffles. It's a value if your there for the beach and not there for the room. First floor with an exterior door was a blessing when unloading and loading. Oh, the Wi-Fi was not working the 4 days I was there. But I was not there to use Wi-Fi.

HORRIBLE service. The price was NOT worth it. We went down to go get more towels and the old saggy lady with a bun, told me to go get my mom so she could sign, because it's "the law". I went to other hotels and they would give me how ever many towels I needed. Things need to be changed around here. No free Wi-Fi at all. The pool is much smaller than it looks. I wish we could a refund because this is rediculous. I wish the manager was around. I will definitely NOT be coming back again. & absolutely no recommendations to my friends and family. Extremely disappointed.

Kids play satisfaced because no body bothered them, like other hotels, and like the space of the room.

The service was terribly rude; the security? Incredibly toxic. I can't believe how inadequate the entire service was. When we arrived to our "finished" room there was vomit everywhere & it had a foul odor or bleach, the kind of HALF ASS, low prep, last minute-ness you'd expect from a low quality establishment that you'd expect to get a virus from.

The location is great, affordable, breakfast included. Every room has a small balcony but the internet connection is not that great, plus it could use a coffe maker.

I know that the rate is inexpensive, but I will expect hot water, washcloths, and other "amenities". No Wi-Fi. Coffee maker in room did not work. Lots of noisy parties at 2 and 3 in the morning. Breakfast proper not offered until 8. I am not here on vacation; I was working. 8 am is too late to grab breakfast. Now I know why you pay in advance here. Avoid at all costs.

Worst service, worst housekeeping dirty restrooms, no Wi-Fi no card key even after sayin I would get in a hr never did, over priced, wont be staying here again.

There are no standards at this place. No fresh towels available upon request. Disgusting hallways and pungency throughout the Inn clearly makes this at the top on the rampant list for me. If you have no standards by all means this is the place for you.

The bathroom was absolutely the worst I have ever been in. The entire hotel is old and not properly maintained. The staff is rude and would rather tell you no and stare at their cell phones then assist you. Breakfast I horrible and everything smelled. The kitchen staff wore no gloves and was dressed inappropriately for kitchen workers and appeared to be a maid. The hotel has no Wi-Fi on any floor other than first. The hall and room carpet was disgusting and my feet would stick to it so I wore socks or shoes. In my room there were spiders and roaches alive and dead. The valet carts fall apart when you try and use them to transport your items to and from you room. The experience was so bad I left at midnight the night before and refused to stay another night. There is so much wrong with this hotel I do not have the time or energy to give it a proper review…. Just trust me…don’t stay here for any reason.

I paid $79 dollars a night and it was not worth it!. The bathroom was absolutely the worst I have ever been in. For some reason I was given a bathroom for disabled people and it was bad! Water from the shower went all over the floor the shower head kept falling off, the seat was torn and rusty with jagged steel edges. Wow bad. The whole place is old and not properly maintained. I had stayed here a few years ago when it was the Howard Johnson and it was nice but not anymore. Oh and forget the breakfast it was horrible and the coffee I could not drink. My wife and I walked to the stripes to buy coffee and then walked to the Grape vine for breakfast. I will never stay here again at any price.

No Wi-Fi on any floor. I called the lobby and was told to come down stairs as it was the only Wi-Fi available. I stayed 4 days and I was told that the Wi-Fi was being worked on. Should've only taken one day. On day 1 the jacuzzi worked, though it felt almost the same as the pool. I got in the jacuzzi when a few of the children crawled out. It was a large family with plenty of farm animal children. As soon as I get in their grandmother has something to say, in Spanish about me because god knows she doesn't have balls. Well I spent the rest of the time in the pool sending waves of water to her. On day two, the jacuzzi was broken. The family farm broke it, CLEARLY. It was not fixed until day 4. The hall carpet was disgusting. If you touched it, your skin would turn black. Door knobs were so unsanitary and did not function correctly. Safes in one of my rooms didn't work. Also no clothes hangers. In my room there was a daddy long leg spider sitting in the corner and disappeared after night one. Breakfast was, idk, okay? One of the maids are in charge of producing burnt eggs and frozen sausage patties. Customer service was nice but one night I went down and one girl had two baby daddies talking to her and they commented something in Spanish while I walked thru. But at least I can pay child support :) get yo life.

If you like rusty moldy bathrooms and none of the electronics in working order then you want to stay here. For almost 200 bucks a night just because your close to the beach, believe me is not worth it. The only good thing I can say about this place was the staff. Nice people but even they could do better.

I never write reviews but the treatment I received at the Inn at South Padre was so unexpectedly generous that this was the absolute least I could do to show my gratitude, and it still is not nearly enough. I came to the Inn at South Padre in a desperate situation. My friends and I had arrived for Spring Break at South Padre Island to find that the rental house I had paid over $1000 to reserve 3 months in advance was the subject of an online fraud scheme. Three of my group of six had flown in from Florida, and we had driven 350+ miles only to find we had no place to say in the MIDDLE of Spring Break week. Anticipating having to pay an exorbitant amount to find a place last-minute on top of the $1000+ that had stolen from me, I walked across the street to the Inn at South Padre in the lowest of spirits to see what kind of damage we were looking at. That was where I encountered Pam Romer, the incredible and wonderful general manager of the Inn at SP. We explained our situation to her and asked if there was any rooms available, and at what price. She informed us that there were only 2 rooms left, and she just got off the phone with a party who was en route to the Inn to secure one of them. The price she was charging for the rooms was $525 per night, far in excess of what we had expected to pay at the fraudulent rental house and what we could’ve secured with a legitimate property an appropriate amount of time in advance.
