Review of Isla Grand Beach Resort 3*

This place is not worth the money! I stayed here during spring break so I don't know if the rules change for just that week but I thought they were all BS! They just want to take your money! First of all, you can't check in to the hotel until 4PM & you have to be out by 10AM the next day! I payed $399 for a room & I can't even get a day to enjoy it! Why even bother unpacking if you're literally leaving in less time than it took you to drive up there! & the rooms are terribly ugly, I guess that's the look that they are going for bc they want it to be like a cabin but the sheets just look old old & the tables & everything in there is just old! The 2star hotel we sraid at on our drive up there was better than this place! Secondly, they charge for everything! They make up stuff that you need to have in order to be inside the hotel & then make you pay for it! For example, you need a wrist band to be inside the hotel, & you need to pay for that wristband, $20 per person. & what if you lose it? You pay $20 for another & another, like they don't have it in there system that you already payed for one! Or like if the 400+ that I payed for the room wasn't enough! ANOTHER thing: they give you a loooong list of things you need to check inside the room, like the bed, chair, desk, sheets, towels ect. You need to take that list back in a hour & let them know if something is wrong or missing or else you will be charged for it, uhhh isn't that supposed ro be their job? There are 4 towels in the bathroom, I took one to the beach & someone else took it, they charged me $20 for that freaking towel! Also if a pillow is missing that's another $20. Like that's rediculous. They charger for everything it's rediculous! You even have to pay for breakfast! Also you have to pay $95 down PER PERSON. You get that back at when you check in, but that was a big problem for us because there was 8 of us! That's way too much money they took! Lastly, the staff is poorly trained, they are always behind on everything, I asked for someone to come check a problem in my room. 2 hours later still noone! & when I complained they said they were very busy, & obviously I was freaking upset because I didn't drive all the way to SPI to sit inside a hotel room for hours waiting for them to show up! & the people at front desk are so rude! I'm just so unhappy with my stay here, I checked out the next day & stayed at RAMADA, it was a 2 star hotel but it was waaaayyy better than this piece of junk! Friendlier faces, & we payed for the room & THAT WAS IT! Not all that extra stuff this place asked for. SAVE YOUR MONEY! This place is a junk!
