My family and I traveled to Lubbock for the Texas Tech graduation on 6 Aug 21. Prior to leaving our home I contacted the hotel to let them know that we wouldn't be arriving until 1am MST. Silas (who was wonderful) assured me that my arrival time wouldn't be an issue and that a note would be made on my reservation. I then proceeded to drive to Sleep Inn Lubbock with my disabled combat Veteran husband and our 3 children (9, 7 and 7 months). Upon arrival at 0134 I attempted to check in and was rudely and dismissively informed by Carla that my reservation had been canceled at 1400 despite check in being at 1500 and my earlier conversation with her coworker Silas. She told me that she wasn't aware of my earlier call and refused to provide any additional assistance (she never searched the computer system during the entire interaction). I requested a refund and was told that I would not be receiving one and that my reservation had been sold to someone else. Carla had a smirk on her face the entire time and seemed to enjoy not assisting me. I requested the number to corporate and was informed by her that she didn't have the number. I asked for her name and she told me Carla (I assumed it was a fake one due to her not having a name tag or any other indication of being a hotel employee) I along with my husband then proceeded to call around to the local hotels at 0200 and booked a room with a competitor hotel chain line.

We arrived for our stay Saturday evening, the 8th, around 7:00; we checked in and proceeded to our room. We check rooms before settling in, normally, but especially with Covid being prevalent right now. The first problem we found was leftover food in the refrigerator but it didn't stop there. There was a dirty, mold type substance on the utensils by the coffee maker, a used, wet, dirty towel on the bathroom counter, and the toilet didn't flush. The front desk individual moved us to a new room. Awesome! Nope. Used dental floss on the floor, hair of some sort (I honestly don't want to know what type) in the beds, beer cans shoved behind the bed that my curious toddler just happened to find, and to top it all off? A USED CONDOM in the armchair. This is ridiculous and unhygienic under normal circumstances but in the middle of a pandemic it's completely unacceptable. Had we not had to travel at this time, we wouldn't, but it was unavoidable.

I had a great experience! The rooms were super comfortable and clean and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was good and you can get tea and coffee all day. There is also a pool and a small gym. I would definitely recommend this hotel for a short or long stay.

Location was nice… not too much traffic, walking distance to a bar/restaurant & convenience store, etc. Room was well-kept although I could hear the elephants staying above us. Service was great. Employees were friendly and willing to help out if I had questions. A/C kept the room like an icebox in late July. Loved it. Would definitely stay here again.

Easy to get to right off the Highway. We arrived after midnight the desk clerk was really sweet and nice. The first room that we received was on the 3rd floor. You could tell that cleaning service had been but not completed. The beds had been stripped and dirty sheets left on the floor. We went back to the desk and got a room on the 4th floor. It was clean and just what we needed.

The room was clean and comfortable. The pool was nice, and the hot tub felt really good after a long day. Breakfast was the standard complementary foods, including the Texas shaped waffle (one of my personal favorites) the only drawback was the waffle makers weren't clean. However I realized that we came in after a rush. They were on the process of re stocking food and cleaning, I'm sure we just hit at the wrong time. The people at the front desk were super sweet, polite, friendly, and very helpful. I forgot a couple of things and went down to the desk twice to get what I needed, I felt like a bother, but they made me feel like it was their pleasure to help me. That's a nice touch when you are away from home and forget the dumbest things. I would absolutely use this hotel again.

I always stay here when going to Lubbock. Most reasonable pricing, easy access, they keep it clean and always friendly.

Clean rooms, great staff. One major concern for me is the beds. Basically a block of granite with a sheet on it. Great for sacrifices to pagan gods. Horrible for sleeping.

Location is very convenient and friendly staffs. Nice rooms and comfortable beds. Hot and hearty breakfast. Loved Texas shaped waffle maker.

All clean & very nice. I asked for help, front desk staff member went out of her way to help & it was very much appreciated.

They charge for everything and do not have good breakfast.

Had a few issues and they took care of them quickly and kindly! Our stay was great! The hot tub was nice. Clean rooms. Breakfast was really good. Easy check in and out. Large rooms with very comfortable beds.

Nice room but a little rough when you look closely. Staff was courteous and friendly. Breakfast was poor but I didn't select this hotel for that reason. Ultimately it was worth the price of ~$70 a night.

This is our favorite place to stay when in Lubbock. The staff is courteous and the breakfast is great. They have a heated pool and a hot tub so the kids have a great time. The rooms are clean and comfortable. Most importantly, the price is affordable, especially since when we visit we tend to stay for a full week.

Was very surprised. Came into town during a Tech game and all other hotels were booked up or ridiculously overpriced. Found this place for a reasonable price so was expecting something awful, but it was great. Very nice room and the staff was very helpful.

Jacuzzi room was great, a little bit pricey but not bad.

The staff is very helpful, but the room I got smelled funny and the toilet was broken. The lady at the front counter upgraded us to a different room. Breakfast had a good selection.

This is the hotel we choose to stay at for all our business trips in Lubbock. Front desk staff at 8pm. She was very friendly greeting us with a an awesome greeting. The housekeeper & laundry person very nice with our needs & greeting us as we approach them. The room was definitely a 5 star rating. Breakfast was excellent. We will surely recommend this hotel with our business partners the next time were in Lubbock.

Me and my husband stayed here this past weekend for our honeymoon! Staff was very nice and helpful. We stayed in 2 different rooms over the weekend and both were awesome! The private hot tub suite was super nice for the two of us and the other suite for us and the kids was good for the whole family! This will definitely be our anniversary spot! Oh and breakfast was sooooo good.

Nice and clean. Relaxing. We liked it. The only thing was we were in bottom floor and at night it was so loud even kids running or jumping or something. So if we go back maybe we will ask for upstairs?!

Stay here! Room was spacious and clean. Bed comfortable and plenty lighting in bathroom. Quiet. Nicely prepared hot breakfast provided. Staff on site to keep area clean. Friendly staff with easy check in and check out.

I can't say how good the Hotel is, I didn't actually stay there. But I can say the management is top notch. I was scheduled to stay there on a Thursday and Friday. The Monday before I was to stay I received an invoice saying I was a no show. Apparently the reservation was made for the wrong Thursday and Friday. I called and was told it was company policy to charge for a no show. Mr. Patel, the General Manager made it right. Hat's off to him…

I stayed at a sleep inn in Ontario, Oregon. The room was great. Nice big bed, the shower looked small at first but it was quite spacious. The breakfast was awesome. You could help yourself. It had a variety of options, food and beverage. Will definitely be returning to one soon.

My family and I stayed for the weekend a couple of weeks ago for my son's graduation from Tech. We had 2 rooms for 2 nights, and we were TRIPLE billed for both rooms! Because of this, our bank account was very messed up, and now we are having to pay fees related to these charges. I want a response as to how this will be handled immediately! You have effectively stolen from my family and ruined my son's graduation weekend.

Its in a good area service was great and room was good it could have been cleaner but it was good for the price.

We were given a room on the first floor and we have a view of the dumpsters in the alley, that's really nice. We had to ask for another iron, the coffee maker was broken and the lighting is barely enough for the room. Don't think I will stay here again.

My family and I stay here every single time we go to Lubbock and haven't had a bad experience yet. They have a very delicious breakfast in the morning, and the staff is very helpful and friendly. It truly feels like home away from home when we stay here!

Stayed at the Sleep inn and while the hotel was well updated and clean, the staff completely took away from that. Contacted the Sleep Inn after staying one night and seeing an extra $50 charge on my bank account. Called to find out what it was for and apparently was blamed for candle wax in the carpet that was already there when we entered the room. Thought nothing of it as it was the last room with a jetted tub they had and I didn't want to lose it over a small stain on the carpet. Called multiple times to speak to a manager and he always ' just left' or 'wasn't in'. My husband and I both tried speaking with them several times to get the matter taken care of since we didn't have a single candle in the room. We will be trying to contact corporate tomorrow to get the issue resolved since it's okay for employees to pass us off and charge our account for things we did not do. Not to mention barely speaking English and being hung up on by a gentleman at the front desk. Will not be staying again.

I stay at Sleep Inn frequently and I particularly like this one in Lubbock! The best part, other than the usual great service and comfy accommodations is their Wi-Fi signal here in Lubbock is great!

My family and I planned on having a swimming party there. We stopped by twice to ensure our party. We were told as long as we pay for one room, we may have a party, with guests and all. This was not the case. The day of the party, 30 minutes before it started, we showed up to decorate. A lady and manager at the desk then told us we were not allowed to have a party! That in order to do that we had to pay $150 extra to rent out the pool. We argued that we were not told that by the other employees, yet the manager continued to argue with us. He was not kind nor understanding and we were trying to explain our side. It was not our fault we were not informed correctly, and they told us this new information the day of the party! Terrible. Absolutely. No sympathy whatsoever from them either. They continued to argue with us, telling us it was OUR fault we misunderstood. In case you wish to have a party there, make sure they tell you the right information because they sure didn't with us.

It has been years since I have given Choice Hotels a chance, this hotel give me hope. Room was very clean and spacious, common areas also very clean. Would stay here again no questions.

Traveling through and needed a place to unwind and catch some sleep before hitting the road again. Enjoyed the indoor pool and spa. Staff at check in and check out were both polite and courteous. Slept well with no disturbances and amenities were as expected for a cheaper hotel. Reasonably clean. I would stay here again if in the area.

Be careful with these guys. They charged us $150 for 3 pillows that they say we took. We had 12 rooms and the pillows were just in one of the other rooms. I explained it to the manager, and all he said was to bring back the pillows. Do not stay here.

I often stay at this hotel when im in the lubbock area. The hotel is clean, pool area is clean, rooms are clean and stocked with ammenities I don't have to lug with me from home (iron, micro, hair dryer, etc). Front desk staff are pleasant, but since my hometown is from Lubbock. I did recognize a sense of over protectiveness during check-in. For all cash paying customers like myself who had my "credit cards" stolen. I now only use cash. I was asked for additional deposits, when asking for extra items like additional pillows or towels for my staff, the staff was leary to release those items,, and shockingly in the morning was asked to wait while my room was "CHECKED" for items that may be missing! WOW, I work for a large oil company and I even showed my business card. It is highly unlikely that I would take from a room, however there is sense of prejudice for CASH paying customers. OVerall I really like the hotel, just not the staff personality. Otherwise they'd get 5 stars.

Where to start room was great staff however not so great very rude and pool area was horrible. During my stay A young boy accidentally hit the emergency shut off switch to the spa and the guy from the front desk yelled at him very uncalled for he is a child my god grow up. And to off my crappy stay I paid in advance big mistake. When I got home I noticed A charge on my credit card so of coarse I called and was told it was for (one missing tray) keep in mind one missing tray we had one tray in our room it was under the ice bucket and the guy said for me to call back in the morning which I did. At this point I was told by the lady that her housekeeping manager checks every room for missing items and I was wrong not them and was told in more words than one to like it and shut up and go away she said will look again but there's no need to and that she would call back but of coarse I never heard from her surprise I think not. So I called back again and was told this time (two trays) are missing and i'm paying for them and she hung up. So yeah I will never again recommend this place to anyone and I will never again stay here or any sleep inn and suites. So please take caution of where you decide to stay. Thanks.

OMG! This was the best hotel ever! The rooms where clean, the beds were so comfortable! I did not want to check out. I had initially booked 5 rooms at the Laquinta @ 5006 Auburn and it was terrible. We could never get checked in. I ended up having to leave there and the Sleep Inn accommodated us immediately. Talk about comfort! The staff was amazing. I am just a simple middle class person; however the staff at Sleep Inn made me feel like a celebrity. They even accommodated me for an extra room at the last minute! LOVE LOVE this hotel. I won't stay any where else when I am in Lubbock! If you want comfort, cleanliness, and professionalism with a down home feel please take heed to my review and go to the Sleep Inn.

Came to Lubbock for TTUHSC-SON Graduate School Orientation for FNP and it was a 5 minute commute to campus. Absolutely amazing place! Staff was friendly. The room was so clean it was unbelievable. Very nice surprise. Everything was new in the room and the 42 inch flat screen was mounted to the wall. Breakfast was good. The gym had track lighting that I left off and overlooked the heated indoor pool. They had bathrooms with showers by the pool. Only downfall, the spa/hot tub smelled almost like fish, but it was still usable. Could just be the water, but a little chlorine wouldn t hurt. I honestly can't complain. This place was a 10 considering other places I have stayed in the area. I almost didn't want to recommend it so the price doesn't go up when people find out how awesome it was.
